there's a reason why this thing has been going on strong for 19 volumes (with the 20th releasing next week)

When it comes to tropes it's less about how many girls want his dick and more about how the narrative treats it. In this case the narrative is sustaining another girl having an interest despite him being in a relationship, and doing so without having to resolve that conflict. It keeps things in limbo such that you can't call her "out of the running" - because she herself hasn't dropped out - and it even gives her her own designation and "role" to mark emotional importance to the MC.

Volume 17 really raised Schwein's position in my personal ranking.
The author gave you a tease as to how things may have turned out with Schwein and Rusian if the thing with Ako never happened when the two started playing on their alts and just killing wolves trying to level as novices. Schew was really adorable there and felt like she and Rusian had the perfect chemistry going.
I do hope the author makes a what-if spinoff for that someday.
