>Ryōko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon manga about beastly gourmet was adapted into a 30-second anime ad to promote the release of its eighth volume. The animated commercial began streaming on Thursday, approximately a week before the volume's release on September 14.
>The ad shows the kind of intimidating creatures heroes must hunt to create their delicious dishes: slimes, mandrakes, krakens, and even dragons. Readers can also get the first look at at anime versions of Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi.
>Promare and Kill la Kill animation Studio Trigger produced the ad
What's the problem? Dungeon Mesho is hardly something that needs a lot of animation. All they have to do is get the artstlye right.
Aiden Harris
That's not too surprising any studio would do something like that. It's a relatively low budget project, no voice work needing done, and only 30 seconds. They likely wouldn't do an anime, which is good. Trigger is the last studio I want touching this. All they make is fucking garbage.
Parker Smith
Threads are already shit. Any sort of anime adaptation or even an announcement ruins threads. It just shows once again that 99% of Yea Forums are anime only fags.
Aiden Rivera
>"waahhhh it's animated by trigger so it's bad" >watch the ad >it looks good Based retards.
Easton Scott
TRIGGER制作とか私得すぎる...アニメ化するならぜひここに作ってもらいたい...!
Zachary Perry
The animation was pretty nice, too bad it wouldn't have that level of quality throughout the whole show.
I really doubt it they only make anime originals and they seem to be focused on that new furshit. It would be cool seeing a fantasy show from them though.
Michael Barnes
It really feels like something out of their element. Their high-octane style doesn't seem like it fits the fantasy RPG cooking setting. Maybe they wanted a studio that knows how to animate a dragon and thought "hey that studio trigger animated a dragon in that lwa movie once let's get them to do the CM". In any case, shouldn't they be busy with bna? Between this, the Shantae OP, the Indivisible OP, the Kill la Kill game, everyone sure is asking them to do a fuck ton of jobs, aren't they?
Are we still pretending Trigger is bad? Their worst works are a 7/10 at worst.
Dominic Long
The quality of a 30 second animation is in no way related to the quality of a full length anime adaptation. This for some reason surprises people all the time.
This and Shantae are really short animations. Don't know about the others but I can't imagine either of those two things causing them to be busy in any way. They probably just pick a few people and set them aside for however long to do them. 30 seconds at 12 fps (which is probably higher than they were, or at least constantly) is less than 400 frames. Plus no voice acting in this DM thing. If they do have the whole studio doing it it would probably take less than a week.
Gavin Sullivan
Did you not notice the flagrantly fake overreaction in the OP's image and text?
John Hughes
Will the anime end with aylliens attack?
Daniel Watson
It's ogre.
Evan Young
I don't trust Trigger outside of big robots and kids doing cool poses.
Jace Sullivan
>Delicious in Dungeon Just call it Dungeon Meshi It sounds better and is easier to say
John Stewart
>Delicious in Dungeon >D in D >DnD >Dungeons and Dragons
Logan Jenkins
>all these people who got triggered Stay mad.
Mason Nguyen
>Trigger does everything right but Marcille's ears
Yes because we all know that doesnt bring secondaries to our comfy threads that is not bad per say but since its >Trigger it means we have studio wars shitposting besides being Trigger, AKA low quality animation.
Grayson James
Lose some weight ears.
Jayden Wright
What, would you prefer Deen? Or perhaps, current Madhouse?
Gabriel Wilson
RIP Dungeon Meshi discussion on Yea Forums.
Anthony Morris
It's just a promo for the manga it's right there in the OP
Animating a commercial is not the same thing as doing a full series. It's something studios do between more significant projects, to keep the animators busy. Trigger simply aren't interested in doing adaptions, so I don't see this ever happening. There is the precedent of Inou Battle, but that was when the studio was still young and needed something low effort to do after KLK while wating for bigger projects to take off, which would take no less than 3 years. Now all their directors are busy with an original project every year or more, so there simply isn't a reason to.
Ryder Cooper
Apparently people hate Trigger so much that they lose their shit at a 30 commercial.
Grayson Thompson
Trigger is pretty free right now, though? I doubt their whole staff is focused on BNA, which doesn't come out until like Fall 2020.
John Williams
BNA is scheduled for spring.
Nathan Nguyen
It depends on Wit's Great Pretender. Both BNA and Great Pretender are airing in +Ultra in 2020, Great Pretender is 2 cour.
Ayden Cook
Great Pretender is after BNA. Fall: Beastars Winter: Drifting Dragons (nobody remembers this exists) Spring: BNA
Asher Martin
I didn't realize how bad Yea Forums's hate boner for Trigger was. Guess they trigger you fucks LOL
Adam Bailey
Are you sure? Because I'm almost sure Great Pretender is Spring and BNA is Fall.
Jeremiah Ward
if it doesn't have horrible moe uguu lolis then Yea Forums will hate it.
Oliver Howard
I thought I was sure but now that I notice Great Pretender doesn't have a date yet. So anything's possible.
But the point was, nowadays Trigger have no problem putting out originals consistently, so a "filler" adaption wouldn't be needed. And who would even direct it? Certainly not Imaishi nor Amemiya, ironically the only one I could see working on something like this is Yoshinari.
Aaron Price
>It really feels like something out of their element. They already did InouBattle lad
Jayden Murphy
It's not getting an anime yet. It's just an ad for the manga
Kevin Thomas
A Trigger-friend director like Hiroshi Kobayashi.
Jonathan Lee
I don't hate Trigger but the console war tier shitposting it brings as well as unironic tumblroids
Carson Jackson
Half stuff done by trigger is terrible but other half is great so it could be great if they animated entire show.
