Kengan Ashura,Baki and I want to read more.
Gotta go with the classics so Joe.
Nice recommendation thread
Shamo
Serious question: is the latter half really that bad? Or is it just plain old boring and full of asspulls? I can handle it if it goes into 'so bad it's good' territory but if it's boring then I'm better off not even picking it up.
It's boring.
Shamo, Baki, kenjin
I tried so hard to like this, and the fighting was really great, but I could not get over how much of a fucking whiny pussy the MC is, dear god, how can anyone stand him?
The Breaker but not New Wave
>Almost reslistic down to earth fighting
Shamo(at first), Holy land, Teppu and Meguru
>Exaggerated far beyond human limmits, but still follow basic real fighting principles
Baki, Kengan Ashura, Tough
Noritaka
Abyss Rage
it was good but i couldnt finish it (no time)
I really should pick this up again.
the last arc was too funny with these weird cameo
The protag unironicaly gets beat up by a tranny
Teppu.
Is martial arts manga a dead genre now?
holyland was based. its the only fighting/martial arts manga i've read though.
might be difficult to make it pay.
Nani?!
Change 123
Holyland is probably the most realistic, gritty, down to Earth martial arts manga of them all.
this manly manga
Needs to get more constant with scanlations
Read Kengan, reading Meguru and checking out the rest in this thread. Thanks for the recommendation thread!

Actually no, it's on the uptick. Right now you have:
-whatever Baki series is going on
-Kengan Asura and its spinoff
-All-Rounder Meguru
-Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru (recently finished)
-Cestus
-probably a few I don't remember right now
And for girls martial arts you have
-Die Wergelder
-Joshi Judobu Monogatari
-Hagure Idol - Jigokuhen
-Dolkara
-Batuque
-Mou Ippon (Ippon Again)
-Golusseum
-Reiri (though that's more historical like Azumi)
-Asahinagu (which is like Bushido Sixteen)
-Kenki Saku
-Mayabe even more!
These are all off the top of my head that are ongoing.
You forgot Toukon Yuuma
You also need to read the one made by the author of Cynthia the Mission and Hagure Idol, Takato Rui.
Don't forget Shootfighter Tekken!
Yeah, the Street Fighter Zero raws recently became available.
There are parts of Makyo no Shanana that are kinda martial arts action as well.
Hanakaku is alright, but way too short and has a non-ending.
Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru has decent fights, but everything else is either lackluster or downright shit, like the attempts at humor.
Both of these are "realistic" in that they're MMA-centric (though KSKM takes a bit to get there from Karate) and nobody has superpowers, but there's of course some artistic liberty taken in the name of entertainment.
On the one hand, I enjoy realistic martial arts and MMA because the "power system" is balanced and well thought out by default by being based on reality. On the other hand, grappling is gay and confusing.
Oh, oh, oh, oh fuck
The author of Hanakaku is maybe trying to bring that stuff back from the dead!
Read this:
My favorites are Holyland, Kohinata Minoru, Tenjou Tenge, and Shigurui
I misspoke, KSKM is very much a striking manga, I must have confused it with something else. The main character does move away from plain karate but more towards boxing/kickboxing/muy thai rather than true MMA with grappling etc.
Sounds good, but has there been any news about it after June?
>I misspoke, KSKM is very much a striking manga, I must have confused it with something else.
All-Rounder Meguru, probably
All Rounder Meguru ended, it was just in scanlation hell for years
Yeah that must be it, I think Meguru and his easily forgettable friend/rival both started with karate.
The panelling was great
The art was good
The story just decent. Maybe could have improved if it was longer.
But the last chapter was unnecesary and crap, and this is coming from someone who usually doesnt complain at ends
I saw that, he threw up the chapters on his pixiv as well. Good for him honestly, I saw that he and a couple other small time mangaka were running a Crowdfunding program for something, google TL wasn't helpful in figuring out what exactly.
Based RokuBluesBro.
>Golosseum
Everyone should read this even if they aren't fans of fighting manga, it's amazing.
reading Osu Karete bu, currently at ch28 what am I in for? craziness or epicness?

Seen this on Mangaplus for a while, whats it about?
Bakudan has Hornet training what does your series have?
>holyland
Why doesn't it have an anime? Didn't sell that well or something?
>teppu
Based taste
Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super
All rounder Meguru, Teppu and Holyland are my favorites
Dolkara is a guilty pleasure
