Koga talks down...
ignoring what comes next, he's not wrong
He's right you know
... and then he ded
woah mama...
cool designs
also, trench coat man is connected to mushi/worm probably
FUCK, ANOTHER ONE ADDED TO THE KOGA GETS SHIT ON COUNTER
Koga is to Gaoh what Krillin is to Goku
well, that how its was like in the previous mamga
the problem is that taking Fang title mean you seear to loyal to the old man
Vince! I'll be a son of a bitch!
Holy shit Koga is out for the count from that, this dude is the real deal.
Getting out of the Kengan matches is easy, leaving Metsudos service aswell....HOWEVER.
Oh right, it´s not just a fighter seat, but a legendary tittle.
It's not fair bros when will Koga stop being the local punching bag
He wasn't even being rude this time :(
Do NOT! Make the goat sad.
i love the aggressiveness of these two pages
Could GOAT be one of the strongest fighters in his own company?
The GOAT was just about to annihilate that Gorilla for it.
How can you not love this boy
Hype!
but also are we missing a word somewhere? I'm lost. Hope it's just me.
>those fucking feet
Cute Ryuuki about to kill a bitch because he hurt his friend, cute.
Determination!
This is the second time he's done this minimum, the bromance is entirely real
I love Jose even more now.
There isn't a word missing, though you'd be forgiven for thinking so. Nicolas is saying he'd rather be with the KAssociation because they get to actually fight to the death.
I was just joking about Joji. Is Sandrovitch lurking amongst us?
Someone pointed it out in the raw thread, but Yumigahama really does look like someone took a face and attached it to someone's head but slightly offset. Plus his eyes being sunken in like this and the side burns he doesn't look human.
>you can see the veins through the mask
Jose can act tsundere, but we all know he really likes Koga at this point.
I forgot that the author can´t draw feet.
Is koga gonna master kicking the solar plexus
So I guess its gonna be a liver shot?
GODDAMNIT KOGA
The sand is too big. Lemme fix that.
Yeah, add to that that he quite suddenly made his betrayal and we know there are imitators. Guy could been replaced while still in Kengan and made a switch back then, the reason it went unnoticed by the GOAT is because he wouldnt really have seen him fight before then.
If it's that, I'm hoping it's a least a somewhat broken version of it, something like a Yoshinari/Adam hybrid, being able to land a liver blow from every position or something. It doesn't sound that exciting regardless
Murder Hobo mode activated
And then he broke the key in it.
French dude is going to use Savate right? It's always like that.
Told you guys, Joji is a Jackfag.
Being Koga is suffering
Hopefully next week we skip directly to the Gaoh and Koga's matches!
>Ryuki willing to kill because someone fucked up his bro
Or he's going to use some emulation of fencing using his hands and arms? Might be more original at least
Yeah I think after seeing that toe kick from karate guy and now the liver shot, hes gonna do a combination of that. Its gonna be some sort of kick /punch at an organ for sure
Ryuki is really full yandere for Koga now. Love it.
Great chapter as always.
>I'll have to go all out...Just this once.
Ryuki just likes killing he really doesn't need much pushing
I don't think he likes killing per se, it's just that he's used to it in the Inside. Everything's much more extreme there.
Look at the absolute size difference, there's just no way for Koga to be at this level anytime soon.
I think that angle is a red herring for Gorilla man, but I can't discount it either. The impersonators definitely seem to be able to create a perfect imitation barring the eyes not being the same, something this obvious wouldn't fit their M.O.
But his sudden transfer to Purgatory is still worth exploring because it can't be as simple as chasing the sheckles.
No homo
It would be funny if he used a completely random martial art like Kalaripayattu
Ryuki will actually get his ass kicked if he goes after him right now
Yeah, the guy can´t be that stupid as to think that Metsudo being a keikaku master would let him get away with it.
>size difference
Doesnt mean shit after the Adam vs. Imai. Though I am sure Koga wont be downing the 6th Fang.
>the author lived in america for a while, knows english
>ryuki is an anagram of kiryu when written in english
>he's going to obsess with the MC just like the last time, probably going to set them one against the other further along the line
poetry
Here Toyoda looks shorter, but then he's looking downwards towards Hikaru, and Hikaru is looking way up to his right?
I don't know how to take this interaction, is it because Koga is probably used to these kind of provocations and knows to step in or does he just think he's hot shit
Goat confirmed for bro
How good would Koga's special move be if it's a liver shot?
I don't know how effective trying to down seasoned fighters through pain will be instead of outright crippling them
Size difference literally made a difference in almost every match that had an actual physical mismatch. Imai nearly got knocked out in 3 hits by Adam, Akoya walked all over him by size alone not to mention just generally being a better fighter, Sen got shit on because he got one-inch punched repeatedly by a guy with 48 kilos on him, and Wakatsuki got shit on by Julius for most of the fight because the latter had a much bigger frame.
maybe homo
>blackbeltwiki.com
>Shin Kicking is an English martial arts or combat sport where the contestants kick each other in the shins until one withdraws from the contest
Imagine a Shin Kicking master named Lord Puddington in Kengan fight... Brutal....
>Akoya vs Haruo
A match we're familiar with, except this time Akoya is moderately injured, while Haruo only has a few. I'm not gonna include Hiyama's shenanigans, since I see it as cheating. I mean, we only saw Akoya fighting without Hiyama's help, so there's not THAT much to go off on, but seeing how most of the damage he did to Haruo was with her help, I think Haruo has a good chance at winning this time. Haruo with moderate injuries.
>Setsuna vs. Muteba
Good matchup, two skilled killers. Setsuna obviously has a very broken technique, so it's probably better for Muteba that he's not as injured as Setsuna. Muteba utilizes his other senses much more than a person would expect, which he will use to his advantage. I think that after one or two hits from Setsuna, he'll go in for the kill. Muteba with heavy injuries.
>Toku² vs. Fang
Now this is interesting. We know from Omega that they've fought before (I believe after the events of Asura?) and that Toku² gave Fang an extremely difficult fight, even though he lost and had to spend 6 months in the hospital. Sucks that he now has light injuries and Agito has none. I'm gonne say there were almost equal, giving the edge to Agito. Fang wins with moderate to heavy (my pick) injuries.
>Wakatsuki vs Ohma
Seeing how Ohma is heavily injured.. yeah not a chance buddy. He might land a few punches, but it won't do that much to Wakatsuki. Takeshi wins with light injuries.
Oh, the intend isnt just purely pain with a liver shot. Even the Beard knows how effective it can be.
Finally more fighters. How many are Purgatory at now, 5? I can't wait for both teams to be finished.
Yeah but they all won their fight besides Sen vs Fang. And Sen dodged literally every single thing vs the stretchy arm guy who was the 2nd biggest in the whole tournament.
I think it's just for the sake of framing, not sure. Might be an inconsistency.
Goat is just the friendly tournament uncle and I'm absolutely certain he's got no ulterior motives
I think they are up to 8, actually. But only 5 potential fighters have been revealed.
>spear aimed at his face
Did the beard mean to kill him?
Given he predicted right away that Agito avoids it and gave him a headbutt, no, this was a distraction.
youtube.com
Oh, how could I have doubted a Fang...
Waiting for the tournament, vultures have started following Koga...
>yfw Rihito was treated better.
There is no feasible way he’ll be in shape for the tournament. And I could see Ryuki losing too, to be honest (that is, if they ever qualify at all). And you know what? I find it amusing. Ohma was already quirky enough, but this is the first time the mc is abused so much, unapologetically.
>GOAT is super chill and a cool bro
>many chapters down the like Kazzy is talking with him and realizes the eyes on GOAT aren't quite right, like someone is wearing contact lenses or something
I've had this bad feeling for a while now that someone is going to body snatch Toyoda, doesn't mean he'll also be dead given I think he's too based to die but an attempt will be made.
Has anyone here ever been punched in the liver? How does it feel like?
The question is, which organ? The liver? The stomach? The dick?
Gensai was trying to gouge him earlier in the match too, so kind of, but as said, it was probably just to make an attack that Kanoh had to focus on so he could get the headbutt.
I just punched myself to check and nearly puked over my keyboard and my eyelid is doing that twitch thing so maybe not good
It's paralizing, air's being pushed out of your lungs and you can't really expand your ribcage until a few seconds after. It's horrible.
>Imitators/Worm kidnap GOAT and replace him.
>Keep him alive for a while so the Fake GOAT can learn his habits better.
>In the middle of the tournament a bloody and bruised GOAT having fought his way free comes walking into the stadium, uppercuts the fake GOAT and tells Kazzy to come with him clean up the trash.
>cue two Dragons stomping worms.
Getting punched in general isn't really to be recommended.
But hell, I'm not a doctor. What do I know?
I really hate his face. I wonder if it's supposed to look punchable on purpose.
What a funny joke, user. Must have come up with it yourself.
Has to be either Liver or Solar Plexus, maybe kidney?
It's literally one of the most grueling things you can imagine. There's a reason even the toughest UFC dudes or boxers just fucking crumble from a good liverblow.
youtube.com
Really really painfull, I couldn't breath or think straight when I got punched. My friend said I also pissed myself but I don't remeber that, but well I blacked out.
What if Toyoda is actually a really nice guy, and we are taken in the facade much like Kazzy is seen by the KA?
>feint into left-handed dragonshot
I got kicked in the liver once. We were doing light drills during kickboxing class when this guy gave me a left kick to the body. I blocked his shin with my arm but then his foot sort of whipped around my arm and hit me right on the floating ribs.
Easily the worst pain I've ever felt outside of actual injuries. At first you only feel a really sharp pain focused on a single point in your liver but that pain starts spreading really quickly and before you know it your entire body hurts so much you're on the ground, curled up in fetal position grasping for air.
I was completely fine after 30 seconds or so but boy do I not wanna feel that pain ever again.
Tommy won, yes baby! I hope he meets Jerry one of these chapters.
When are we getting the reveal Toyoda is the best fighter of Rengoku himself?
So we pretty much know that the finishing move will be a liver shot, but just what kind of move will it be? A straight? Roundhouse kick? Spear hand?
I personally think it'll be an amalgamation of Kokuro's "Stinger" aimed at the liver. Koga's gonna be one of those fighters who "copies" other fighters' moves while putting his own spin to it.
>Tommy won
Nice
It’s horrible. Some guy got me and I folded. Couldn’t even breathe. Was fun though.
Front kicking someone's liver is pretty much impossible unless they're a southpaw, so I doubt it.
savate?
Well obviously Tony won, a character like Myers has one precisely one time in this series, and that was Raian.
Damn. I guess a kick to the liver sounds like a good finishing move.
Even better.
So, how would Kaolan hold up against Yumigahama?
Anyone keep tabs on Koga's owned count?
Absolutely terrible. (referring to pic related, not the question)
>Subtle power listing (subject to changes)
yeah.
While the former fang is stronger than Kanzaki it also shows that the difference isn't enormous.
Smaller than that between Gaolang and Agito.
>chinese name
>centipede
He's gonna be with mushi/worm too, isn't he?
Would biting be viable?
Fun fact: one of the practitioners of savate was Eugene François Vidocq.
Vidocq was a French criminal who got caught for robbery. While in prison, he learned savate. He had a shitload of adventures - forging the warden's signature to let one of his mates out, trying to escape, getting out for a while only for his ex-wife Francine to suddenly be found with a bunch of stab wounds (which she later claimed were self-inflicted). The next bit is quoted directly from Wikipedia:
>Finally, on 21 November, he was sent to Brest. On 28 February 1798, he escaped dressed as a sailor. Only a few days later, he was apprehended due to a lack of papers, but the police did not recognize him as an escaped convict. He claimed to be Auguste Duval, and while officials checked this claim, he was put into a prison hospital. There he stole a nun's habit and escaped in disguise. In Cholet, he found a job as a cattle drover and, in this capacity, passed through Paris, Arras, Brussels, Ancer and finally Rotterdam, where he was shanghaied by the Dutch. After a short career as a privateer, he was arrested again and taken to Douai, where he was identified as Vidocq. He was transferred to the Bagne in Toulon, arriving on 29 August 1799. After a failed escape attempt, he escaped again on 6 March 1800 with the help of a prostitute.
>escape prison dressed as a sailor, get held up by police for something else, get put into hospital
>escape hospital dressed as a nun, leave France entirely; get made a pirate
>get arrested as a pirate, finally get taken back to France, escape again thanks to a helpful prostitute
He escaped like five more times through his career, including once jumping out a window into a river. On his 34th birthday he said "fuck it", became an informant for the police, and then later became the world's first private detective and the founder of France's police force. Even after "converting" he still disguised himself and at one point faked his death.
Koga's new supermove will be all nice and dandy until he faces the opponent who had a surgery before his fight to re-arrange all his organs
A few years ago a guy near my street got in a fight and died from a liver kick of a retard who hit him from the sides.
I guess the French dude is the strongest but he's only specialized in killing so he had to hold back
frenchie is gonna be a savate guy for sure
so what are the odds that this gu is really strong but his style is full of deadly techniques so he can't fight at his ful potential in purgatory?
Around 90%
Yumihamaga looks like and evil version of Andre the giant. I hope he is not only a "muh retard strenght" brute type
>Jose can act tsundere, but we all know he really likes Koga at this point.
turns out omega is actually a harem series
What does the whole tournament bracket look like so far?
I'm hoping he uses monkey kung fu to match his look.
>3 fists
is the 3rd fist his penis?
It would be the "3 kicks" then
Koga is actually a sociable guy and he already has a better friendship with the cast than ohma who was an antisocial autist
Karate spec with grappling amped by some basic Niko/Gaoh toolbox skills and kengan analysis eyes
i think its to show him not making eye contact, like rolling his eyes up and to the side a bit, annoyed that he got interrupted
So who wants to bet this guy will switch to Kengan instead?
>constantly get arrested
>eventually transcend prison and start putting people away instead of getting yourself put away
>have low-key a disguise fetish
>also fake your own death at least once
This guy had an interesting life.
Toriko?
There is IIRC a kyokushin kick from orthodox stance that targets the liver. Of course I can't find any video of it right now, dammit.
Or an 'entirely' new kickboxing style.
High chance Koga's finishing move will be a mikazuki geri (crescent moon kick) into the liver, since that was a signature technique of Kyokushin fighter Ryu Narushima.
youtu.be
Looking up and to the right is a natural thing to do when trying to remember or come up with something, I don't remember which one. The other holds true for looking down and to the left IIRC.
thx
I collapsed on the spot. its a sharp pain and my core froze up. sucks that I was totally aware of everything that was happening but my body didnt want to listen
I want Karla to rape me!
>Narushima
You know, i feel like in hindsight with that name its a easy guess.
I hope we get someone who is an ex soldier and simply uses military techniques
I mean, that's a pretty good find and at all, but it's real fucking lackluster as a "finishing move".
It's all in the presentation. Here's a basic liver blow, but presented in a way that makes it seem anything but "lackluster".
youtube.com
I’m glad mustache guy won
If the fighters now go through Kazzy, does this mean someone else could’ve hired the Fang of Metsudo?
But you can't kill in kengan anymore either. Ryuki has bloodlust only because he is new to the system.
>Ryuki casually chopping rocks in half
Reminds me of when COhma woke up and snapped that sword in half. Maybe we'll finally see a Gaoh move that isn't the earth dragon thing.
When will Kaneki join in?
>next up: the wind dragon
>first panel of Ryuki is him behind Koga
>as soon as Koga is mentioned in the confrontation, Ryuki is in front of him in the next panel
based overprotective friend
so he tongue punches my anus?
Non japanese fighters seems common in purgatory. I found it bullshit that there were that much more japanese fighters on the level of the top Kengan ones, but that makes much more sense.
You're thinking of the triangle kick (not sure what the japanese name is), which this user is referring to mobile.twitter.com
Why is Jose taking a ready stance? He's on Purgatory's side lol
Already saw how this went in the series, but now they both have injuries tacked on with Akoya's being greater. I think he'll still pull it off with heavy injuries after he goes full murdercop mode though.
Muteba's seen the rakshasa palm in action, so he knows how vital it is to not be hit and will put his full focus on dodging like against Wakatsuki. Additionally, he probably has an advantage here in that given his eyes probably didn't get gouged out in the first round, Setsuna won't realize he's blind and could easily get caught off guard when he tries to use Blink on him, which could mean death given it's Muteba. He also has a handicap of Setsuna's injuries, so I think he takes this one with either moderate or heavy injuries depending on if he has to take a palm to win or not, not sure yet.
Already know how Agito vs Toku goes and there are injuries involved, Agito with moderate wounds.
Ohma with heavy injuries is basically what Wakatsuki fought in Asura, and unlike then Wakatsuki has none of his own. Wakatsuki light injuries, don't see Ohma managing to do much more than that.
Yeah, it's all about how you plate the dish. Kokori is just doing a straight kick but the added flair makes it all the more special
All this talk about Mushi, made me think about Edward Wu. Is he an actual member of Mushi? It was heavily implied, but he could easily be a double agent or a mercenary. Mushi seems to heavily focus on the tiger vesel and the advance. And the advance is intended to counter the removal. Why would a Wu be part of Mushi?
While money is a simple reason, it could be true. It would be somewhat ironic that Metsudo loses a fighter because of paying a too small salary. He did have this "great speech" that the Kengan matches are about the companies and the fighters are just pawns. Any actual loyalty would be onesided. Hikaru is dishonorable, and used Metsudo as a stepping stone but he really isn't any worse than a lot of Kengan CEOs.
Still, I also believe that there's more to the story than just money.
That's basically just what Muteba is.
Unarmed military training really is not very impressive because it's treated as a completely tertiary thing that's rarely useful on a modern battlefield. Most of the meme military martial arts like Krav Maga and Systema are just really practical and crippling moves compressed into something vaguely resembling a martial art.
This dude already has 3 (maybe more) gunning for him. If this keeps up, there may as well be a free-for-all just for the rights to kick his ass
Guys
I want to be Ryuuki's husbando how do?
>Why would a Wu be part of Mushi
Probably some personal vendetta against the Kure and Mushi giving him the means to pursue that.
Muteba
Well there's:
>Bullied by Ohma
>Stingered by Kokuro
>Bitch smacked by Himuro
>Verbal destruction by Nitoku
>One shotted by Joji
>"Bumped" by Yumigahama
So we should be at 6 now unless I'm forgetting something
muteba just used finger stabs and chinese acupunture points.
His style wasn't really connected to any techniques that a military would use
Boxing fag here. Got punched in the liver by a guy that weighed 40 pounds less then me, I knew it was a liver punch the moment of impact and I mentally readied myself to tough it out but the pain and feeling of everything stopping escalated real quick and the floor jumped up to hit my face. Turns out I fell down. I was running hot in that spar but that down just turned everything off on me.
43 seconds in, liver shot
Euge François Vidocq is also the historical figure Sherlock Holmes is based on.
Plus, in the USA, there is a kind of elite secret society of investigators and former FBI agents which has been named after him : en.wikipedia.org
I kinda feel like with how blatantly monkey man is being set up to be a hate sink like this that there's going to be some sort of twist. Not sure if it'll be another replacement situation, but I could see him being a double agent for Metsudo or something with his betrayal being planned.
Kaneda is too busy having a swordfight with poseidon
>Groin grabs
>neck snapping
>eye pokes
I just described half of Krav Maga, and like 45% of Muteba's moves
Ryuki initially owned him, Jose humiliated him by tanking him easily, Adam knocked him on his ass...
>pissing off ryuki and agito
the only twist we'll get is monkeyman's neck
>Groin grab
Don't remind me. I still cringe at that page.
>getting in at least one fight to the death with A-list gladiators a few weeks before an "unnatural" kengan match
Going to be a rough few weeks for Ryuki
And the other half is small joint manipulation, which is basically akido.
t. Koga
Whose Kanzaki?
Jose, Kanzaki is his surname
>There are still many mysteries surrounding Agito's life before he met Metsudo, but I'm sure these mysteries will be revealed in time.
It doesn't get speculated on nearly enough.
>Monkey
>Trenchcoat
>Frenchie
>Eddie Wu
>Falcon(probably)
>Jose(probably)
So if both of the last two get entered, then 6 so far.
Falcon is guaranteed. Jose we don't know about yet.
Agito arc please
there was a lot of mystery set up for the sequel. I don't know how the author is going to resolve all of those hooks, but ryuki's storyline seems to be headed in that direction
Krav Maga is basically Aikido left to the devices of Americans, which is basically ameri-do-te.
youtu.be
THREE LIONS ON A SHIRT
>beaten by Jose
>outsquatted by Jun
>my country still hasn't been featured in either kengans yet
I hate sandrovich and nips so so so fucking much
Tigerman being the one who taught Agito some Niko moves(soon before he got put in the gu ritual from the looks of it) basically confirms his involvement with Mushi somehow.
What all do we still have to find out?
>Agito backstory with Tigerman
>Ryuki's pretty much everything
>Setsuna whereabouts
>What Niko asked Gensai for help with 20 years before Asura
I think the author also said that we needed to see why Setsuna's master and Niko fought.
>Better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6
Putting that one away for future use.
France in the Revolutionary/Napoleonic era is full of interesting characters. Vidocq, Surcouf, Talleyrand, Louis de Lasalle and his wacky adventures... People (sadly) usually only care about Napoleon and his Marshals.
You can still kill in kengan, ryuki asked about it at the start of chapter 22. You just can't brutalize an opponent after the match is called. Any sort of lethal technique would be allowed in kengan but unusable in purgatory.
There's also
>What happened to Mukaku and the rest of the Nikos
>What is the Tiger's Vessel
>What're the Gu rituals for
>Why did Gu have a vested interest in the CEO that had Bando as his fighter (Long Min in ch. 163 if this part doesn't ring any bells)
>challonge.com
>jun beat rei
>ohma beat julius in round 1
Nah
Still a shame Koga's finishing move is simply a liver blow.
Then again I am an autist who wrote about a character developing a punch that goes from 0 to Mach 2 in under a second and a Ninja Death Punch with pierce attributes
He practically has a billboard announcing it.
>Tigerman, Gaoh, and what happened the night all the other Nikos died
>Ryuki
>Who are Mushi and what do they want/who was that shadowy last Niko style successor
>what is the "tiger's vessel" and how does it relate to the advance and is Gu related?
>Nicolas le banner
Name is reference to Jerome le banner obviously but the appearence doesn't match at all
>Louis de Lasalle
>Shortly after his arrival in Spain, Lasalle found himself involved in a duel by sabre. He had been attempting to seduce the wife of the Captain of Engineering when the captain caught them in flagrante delicto. Lasalle was generous (or cautious) enough not to attack and contented himself with parrying, but he did so with such vigor that it broke the engineer's wrist. As the engineer was doubled over with fatigue and pain, Lasalle let down a hard blow with the flat edge of his sabre on the man's back. When it was obvious the engineer could take it no more, Lasalle opted to end the battle by saying, "If you had known me better you would have attached less importance to the fact you have been injured, and if I had known better, I would have refrained from continuing to fight after you had been injured. Let us finish this fight for it is far too unequal, but because of your actions I now know you are a man of honor."
What a chad.
i like how the 6th fang acts, there's not really a lot of "asshole" characters. they range from prideful, self-assured, brutal and plain insane but there's not really a person who's a pure dickhead like this.
I'm betting the Tiger's Vessel is someone that can use the advance without dying or something like that. Because when Ohma died last Niko guy said that means he wasn't the vessel after all.
He's leaving the scandinavians out to try as well
Yumigahama is based.
Perfect villain.
Rei, read slower.
Wild theories about upcoming events.
After his defeat at the hands of the Fang, Gaolang realizes his weakness once more, improves, and when he returns he (surprise!) showcases newly-acquired grappling skills. His Majesty's sword shall not fail (again).
You're a funny little man.
>you are making me look bad in front of Kazzy
Definitely Gaolang has to deal with grapples, Boxing and Muy Thai both have clinches but he'll need to further expand on his ground and proximity options.
Kengan
>Gaolang
>Okubo
>Wakatsuki
>Kanoh
>New Fang
>Potentially Cosmo, Haruo or Jun
Purgatory
>Falcon
>Yumigamhama (ex Fang)
>Nicolas Le Banner
>Lu Tian
>Edward Wu
>Potentially Jose
I think these are the teams at the moment. What does Yea Forums think of them so far? Any dream matches you're hoping for with the current roster? I'd like to see Gaolang vs Lu.
>okubo
Is this wise?
He was strong, but there was clearly a gap between him and the REALLY strong guys like Kanoh and Wakatsuki.
Koga needs to work on his endurance. His training with Kureishi and Adam has helped him increase his offense, and his training with Ryuki helped with his movement, but he still goes down too quickly.
He looks like he's having Vietnam flashbacks.
This guy was the quintessential hussar.
Nothing some squats and oats cannot fix
"Back of the knee maybe"
Mach 2 liver punch
Would you prefer to be included if you're just a jobber meant to jerk off the japanese audience? Some examples that come to mind
>that russian who gets jobbered by rihito (jobber supreme)
>that bong thats actually the descendant of some japanese fighter (because not having enough japanese martial arts is a crime!)
>jerry and adam dudley
>chinese elite assassination crew that all get jobbered
>nepali fatty that becomes seki's student
Am I missing anybody? The only gaijin that have the chance to shine are Muteba Gaolang and that german dude that nearly ficked up Wakatsuki
As far as I know we haven't even seen any koreans yet
>did he just put a fucking hand on my boyfriend
>ryuki
>agito
>worm
I can't stop thinking of kamen rider
No, it’s not that killing is banned. See this chapter:
mangadex.org
If a fighter kills another before the ref calls the match, it’s treated as an accident. It’s only penalized if they willfully go for a death blow even after the match is declared finished. So guys like Bando whose techniques are explicitly lethal are still allowed.
This is seriously unorthodox, but because of an injury I have trouble extending my elbow fast as it causes pain. What are some fighting styles which don't involve many straights and jabs?
It's pretty fucking obvious at this point what with Agito riding his motorcycle around.
its not that kanoh was "stronger", but kanohs evolution ability rendered his technique useless due to its set nature. he was clearly one of the better fighters in the tournament and if he faced against almost anyone else, he would have fared far better. even someone like gaolang would have a hard time despite shitting on kanoh most of the time because his grappling skills are nowhere near as good as okubos.
The whole Salvation cult has been kind of lurking on the edges of the story without ever really being involved or us knowing what their deal is
Fair enough. There's just something about Okubo's all-aroundness that makes him seem a bit bland.
It would be cool to get all the fighters to prepare by sparring and learning from each other. I bet okubo could quickly incorporate a bunch of neat techniques and styles into his own because of his all round nature
Probably not Jose. Toyota said he'd get Jose his Yumigahama rematch as soon as possible and there's a few months before the actual tournament so this rematch could happen before the tourney and we'd get to see just how strong the ex-6th Fang is/what style he uses.
daromeon's drawing cosmo way too handsome/cute in omega, it hurts me a bit
>specializes in the brazilian kick, as the 'executioner's guillotine'.
youtube.com
Sen too knows about the Niko style.
Might as well throw in what happened to Rei and if Mokichi got back into top shape.
Too bad he got eliminated, Jerry's style was one of the craziest yet most entertaining.
To be fair, brining in judoka from Japan is exactly how Bartitsu started.
Which hand is it and is it your dominant hand? If extending your elbow hurts you can always work on your hooks
The manga never disappoints with reactions.
I want to see Haruo in his slim mode.
Beat me to it, I'd forgotten about that scene with Long Min and that dude though.
Regarding the stuff with Gaoh and the Nikos on that island, just kinda had a thought, what if Gaoh is tied to Mushi and set up the massacre on the island on purpose as a makeshift Gu to narrow his pupils down to the strongest one in hopes they could be the "tiger vessel"? It's implied that the possessing spirit might be tied to the Niko style itself, and everything we know about Gaoh is second hand.
>TRIGGERED
Right and I'm a southpaw. And true but going for, say, kickboxing and being the guy everyone knows struggle with throwing right jabs and straights will seriously put me at a disadvantage especially as a guy 5'9" who started training at 23. Maybe if I took up muay Thai and focused on hooks, uppercuts and elbow strikes and was a fighter who fought extremely close up and rushed in
>nice healthy teeth
Absolutely C U T E friendship
I think it's a bit of both but your interpretation might be right.
How I read it was if a Fighter dies during battle, they investigate because it says "It's hard to determine if it was intentional or accidental" when talking about fighters killing in the ring, which kind of implies that intentionally doing it is forbidden.
Did the Manager cause the death by sending an unprepared fighter against an opponent like Wakatsuki who outclassed them significantly. If so the manager has caused the death and is reprimanded.
Did the Fighter die due to battle before the Ref could call a clear victory and no one is ultimately at blame, it's a Ring-Death and it is left at that.
Did the Fighter intentionally kill his opponent during the fight the fighter is the cause of the death and is reprimanded.
So I imagine;
If Nogi sends Ivan the Reaper with a broken leg against Wakatsuki and he dies during the fight. It's Nogi's fault.
If Gandai sends a fit and healthy Sekibayashi against Wakatsuki and he dies during the fight through regular blows and brawling, it's a ring death.
If Gandai sends a fit and healthy Sekibayashi against Wakatsuki and he dies after Waka' knocks him down to his knees and then strikes him in the head with a blastcore, it's Wakatsuki's fault.
But at the same time, there is also some suggestion in the last example that it might be declared as a Ring Death because the Ref should hypothetically have called the fight after Seki got knocked down and was clearly about to get merced by the Blastcore although that sounds like an unrealistic expectation, but might be the theoretical expectation the rule is based on. "We can't tell if Waka was trying to kill you with that."
But of course, it gets even more questionable when you include Muteba because there is no real questioning against if he was trying to murder his opponent when he snapped his neck and jabbed his brain, there is no argument for "I was just trying to knock him out."
Sensui's from YYH.
Nah, Kanoh just outclassed Okubo in every aspect. He didn't even really need to evolve like he needed with Gaolang. Kanoh tanked and countered all of Okubo's landing hits until he switched into higher gear, then he shut down the champion hard. But I do agree it was most likely a bad matchup for Okubo.
>what does getting punched in the liver feel like
>Sensui's from YYH.
kek but you're kinda right to bad user can't shoot spirit waves
oof, fellow southpaw here. Honestly your best option especially in the long run for your health is it get it looked at and if necessary operated on. Poor man's choice would be to go to a physical therapy center and see if they can do anything.
Dr. Yaoi strikes again
Going to the doctor.
So, how strong are these guys in your opinion ? Who's the strongest of the three ? What could their respective fighting style be ?
Is monkey Fang wrong though? Sure, hitting Koga was a dick move, but he's not a traitor at all. If Metsudo found a stronger fighter, he'd get dropped in a second. He owes no loyalty to Metsudo, especially if he's fighting for his fucking life he should get the highest payout.
Damn, he gave him the full Rutten experience!
>enter Souther
>timeskip
What the fuck? In last week's thread, people were saying that B-list fight wasn't the main event. And that they'd showcase some A-list bouts. But it looks like that was it.
You realize that situs inversus is a real medical condition, right?
This
Gaolang looks way to swole in that page
Monkeyface is totally right. What the fuck would he be "loyal" to Metsudo ? He's not a knight who has sworn an oath to his king or something, he's an underground fighter making money from illegal ultraviolent fights.
Agito's reaction to this "treason" (which is not a treason in any way) is totally autistic and stupid. I hope Monkeyface is revealed not to be a hype tool and actually a freaking monster who's gonna kick Agito's ass.
From left to right
>Nicolas: Savate, either the strongest of the 3 or the weakest
>Yumigahama: Monkey Kung Fu, either the strongest of the weakest
>Lu Tian: Probably some form of Wushu, really don't got much to go on here admittedly. He's definitely the middle of the pack.
Exactly. José will be a hype tool for Yumigahama just to show us how strong he is.
I'm betting on Fang vs Monkey ending in a draw if they follow Purgatory rules. I could see a double ringout happening.
>is totally autistic and stupid
Metsudo saved and raised Akito after he got Wu'd, his reaction to Monkeyman heel turn is completely in character
The fang of Metsudo is chosen from Metsudo's personal bodyguards, of course loyalty to Metduso is a quality they all should share and Monkeyface showed blatant disregard for his former benefactor as well as what standards his former title as Fang carries. To say there cannot be honor among criminals is stupid.
Unhinged Nicolas > Yumighama > Lu > Purgatory Nicolas
Apparently Nicolas has already lost to Jose, so I don't think he's gonna be that strong unless killing is allowed.
Keep coping, monkeyman, Chadgito is coming for that ass.
No matter what, Sandwich will put together a great fight.
probably both. The traitor fang is indeed a piece of shit and basically anyone can take a moral high ground against him.
My theory on the Tigers Vessel.
Niko style is referred to as the Tiger, or Two Tigers a hell of a lot, so that's clearly the core of it.
The name of the advance move "The Possession of God" or something along that, seems to strike out as intentional too, especially with the ideal of Tigers Vessel that they thought Omha could be. Then we have Setsuna, who has a SECOND Forbidden Niko style Technique, the Fallen Demon which is very similar but different to the advance.
Thirdly, you have Gaoh who is the originator of Niko style who created it and started training his disciples because he realised he was getting far too old and wasn't going to tame the Inside before he died.
Fourthly, you have Shrouded-Niko user from the end of Asura who is clearly plotting something and invested in the Tigers Vessel potential of Omha.
And Fifthly, you have Gaoh Ryuki, who is up to something but also seemingly friends with the cast, who is related to Goah Mukaku and possibly Omha, which also implies that Omha is related to Mukaku too.
So here is my theory.
The foribbiden technique "Possession of God" is a move that overclocks your heart and organs to incredible levels, causing both great amounts of physical speed and power but also great amounts of physical stress.
The forbidden technique "Fallen Demon" is a move that overclocks your brain and senses to incredible levels, causing both great amounts of mental speed and power but also great amounts of mental stress.
The "Tigers Vessel" is somone who can fully utilise both Possession of God and Fallen Demon in tandem which I think takes a literal take on both the names and intents of the creator of these moves and allow the Tigers Vessel to become a literal Vessel for the original Tiger, Gaoh Mukaku, to cheat death and literally possess their body so that he can continue his task in years to come.
The Shrouded-Niko user at the End of Asura is the Tigers Vessel possessed by Mukaku and the character we know in Omega as Goah Ryuki, but we see him mostly without possession active, but occasionally when Mukaku is hijacking him to set up his end-game. The Tigers Vessel might require to be blood related to Mukaku, thus their interest in if Ohma was viable or not since he is seemingly related to Ryuki.
Btw, I was checking the wiki and found this
Seiyū: Chō (Japanese—anime & drama CD)
Wait, drama cds? Do we know anything about them?
extrafabulouscomics.com
Fang > mr. "three demon fists? Imagine 100 kicks"/"It's just business to me" > beatiful grim reaper.
Prognosys: Hikari surprisingly puts up a fight but Kanoh evolves to 'plastic surgeon', Lu Tian puts up a fight with Niko-style but loses, Nicolas get punched so soundly he too will need a plastic surgeon.
Gaolang's swoleness is kinda inconsistent. Sometimes he's built like a brick shithouse and others he's lanky.
nah, he's definitely strong though since he could out do Rocky in frozen meat punching.
Yeah nah yeah ghosts is a bit too far. Tone it down, Kojumbo.
I doubt they'll face off at all.
Could Final Form Ohma take Fang Macaco?
So Ryuki is simultaniously both up to no good and genuine friend of the cast, Setsuna is going to be incredibly important even though there is no Ohma.
But at the same time, this theory is also kind of reaching at a few things, mostly that "The Tigers Vessel/Possession of God" names are literal, but they do match up with Mukaku's intentions.
>The forbidden technique "Fallen Demon" is a move that overclocks your brain and senses to incredible levels, causing both great amounts of mental speed and power but also great amounts of mental stress.
This seems likely.
Honestly it's a good choice for him.
efficiency by using series of simple but effective techniques are a good choice for a fighter just coming out.
It depends if Himuro's statement is 100% true and Ex-Fang really could rival Agito.
If so, and we're talking a rest Ohma then probably, given he more than likely surpassed Fang with his 'Master of Two Niko Styles'
If Himuro's statement is hyperbole then Monkey Man gets treated like an Orangutan in Nestle owned plantations
I've had physios take a look at it. They say when I fell it most likely fucked with the joint fluids so it hurts to put pressure or intense force into the joint. I don't have a style yet anyways because I had to move abroad to take care of a relative but I figured while I'm here and don't return home I could at least be looking into different styles and maybe practicing shrimping and shadow boxing and stuff.
There's a reason why his employer thought he had a chance against the Fang in the first place.
Nah, Haruo keeps on getting bigger at every chapter. I want to see him just literally crush someone to death.
yumigama>Lu
nicolas could either the strongest or the weakest
Ryuki was a bad guy until Koga seduced him
Yeah, he had never seen fang fight.
WHERE IS KARLA
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't had similar thoughts about Mukaku and the vessel, but it seems pretty out there for the level of "realism" that's been established so far, Dumbell ghost shenanigans aside.
In the trash, where worst girls belong.
No amount of endurance training is going to help you withstand a liver blow from someone twice your weight, as neither league has weight classes. Realistically, the only option for him is PEDs, maybe even steroids. Many fighters probably aren't natty, even if you don't count Julius.
Should be a picture of Ryuki seeing a Nintendo game with a low review rating.
Centipede man=>Monkey>Nicolas, with the possible variable of Nicolas being some killing technique master who can't show off properly under Purgatory rules.
Saw is a naturalized but he came from Myanmar and he was sick
The most important thing for a kick based fighter is the length and size of his legs right? So basically a TKD practicioner couldn't just be a short stocky quick snapper?
Eating her daily gallon of depression ice cream
Of course it is in character. Agito IS a fucking autist.
As the only actual MMA fighter in the casr, he's a rare breed.
Yeah, I know the idea of Mukaku-Ghost rolling around is a little off for Kengan but I tihnk the theory fits.
(Even if Ghosts are kind of canonical in Kengan Universe, as in Danberu we've seen Meguro Ghost make an appearance and Toyoda's ancestor from the painting showed up a few times as a side character.)
Healthy Ohma probably could, obviously speculation but I doubt monkey man is a match for Gensai or complete Agito, Himuro hyping him up aside.
Who is Karla? That's Karura.
Does that mean you are strong or weak?
I can't wait for that goat fucker to lose his cool. He's always smiling like he's one step ahead.
Stupid, mostly.
Will Karura be in the Annihilation Tournament?
Tae kwon do. They use kicks.
LMAO THIS IS LITERALLY THE "YOU'RE IN THE CLUB AND THIS GUY SLAPS YOUR BOYFRIEND REALLY HARD" MEME.
So, since Tigerman and Worm have already infiltrated Purgatory, and apparently not quite in incognito... I wonder if Tigerman and Idemitsu will be a dark take on Ohma and Kazuo.
Niko-style, ‘two tigers’... two spirits inhabiting the same body, as a way to resurrect into the body of a vessel martial artist. Ghosts would be the most unrealistic thing to happen yet, but those were some realistic hallucinations.
Also the Advance was designed based on the Kure’s Removal, and now we have a Wu who seemingly works together with Worm, and possibly Tigerman. It all fits, and yet it’s still so mysterious...
Not him, but I think you might be right, there was something weird about the advance shadow speaking to Ohma during his fight with Raian and all. Sure Ohma manifested headghost Niko and all too, but head!Niko made it explicitly clear that he was just based on Ohma's memories and thus behaved based on that.
But the advance ghost told Ohma about the advance being created to counter Removal, and how would Ohma have possibly learned that on his own in order for the head ghost to explain that? The mystery ghost also had some other odd moments like this.
I hope he wants sweaty sex with young assasins.
Is this hoiw the anime turned out? Holy shit, what did we do to deserve this atrocity.
COMFY KENGAN THREAD
I mean with context, this very much appears to be something along the lines of "Gaoh Mukaku's ghost posession Ohma and going "Nah you're not the vessel I'm looking for."
On our way to comfy posting.
If he's anything like Wakatsuki he probably got his face ground off at some point and reattached. Maybe he's supposed to have muscle paralysis in his face.
There's Hassad, who's true potential is unknown. Just because he jobbed massively early on doesn't completely dismiss his abilities, as he curb stomped a couple of Metsudo's bodyguards in an instant during the coup.
We also don't know Agito's actual origins, so he might not even be Japanese.
Is TKD effective? Can I be good at it even though I'm 5 foot 9?
>Not wanting to add superior superhuman finger genes to the Kure.
Wow, you're missing out. Even his taste in boxer shorts is superior!
Every Kengan Thread is a comfy one.
>Can I be good at it even though I'm 5 foot 9
I got some bad news for you.
A martial art is only as effective as the practicioner does.
>Someone actually saved my edit.
Holy fuck user you are retarded
Kids a genius
Tell me
Yeah but different body types will be better suited for different things. Short people generally do better at grappling and slamming.
How could I not save such a godtier post
You sit here mocking the boy while he's building up an immunity to liver punches, he will be a god one day
Sen knowing about Niko style is pretty interesting to me, I figure he had to learn about it during his time running around the world before he met Metsudo.
Whether or not Ohma seeing him as being similar to GoodNiko is important or if it was just comparing their personalities I don't know, but Sen is part of this whole Niko and Mushi situation in some way it seems.
They fill in his backstory in Zero.
>Why am I the only guy you talk down to?
He raises a good point, why?
That's dedication I can admire and stupidity I can have a good giggle at.
I've started to think we will actually see very little of the actual tournament. It’ll be a largely unseen event meant as a transition towards a new generation and a new chapter in the story.
I mean, with 13 fights it's gonna last less than a half of Ashura. And I doubt the Worm subplot will be resolved then.
Most Grappling isn't really built around superfast arm extensions. So wrestling or BJJ would be decent choices, Judo if you don't want to fight on the ground isn't bad either.
Isn't this what Wakatsuki used on Ohma's liver?
Man I love these threads
I feel like this would be a conversation in Kengan at some point
I think he's just been in these kind of situations before and likes him enough to try and get him out of it safely. It's not really being condescending and Jose seems to be thankful for it so really a net plus in their relationship.
Doing this turns Gaoh into more of a cunt than theres any reason to think he is. Unless you think that Ohma's Niko was the odd one out and the rest of the Nikos were just as bad as Tigerman, then we should think that Gaoh was a decent guy.
I definitely prefer grappling anyways, I just want a basic solid elementary understanding of strikes just so I have a good grasp of different strikes and how to execute then in case I need them or need to go up against a striker.
Well he was already revealed to not really have been in bed with worm nor known much about them until one of their guys showed up to his boat asking for a spot, that already makes him not outright malicious. He's just incredibly greedy which is normal for the cast.
Please respond what is this bad news
Makes me wonder why he's even there instead of the KA.
So what are the chances of a proper Kengan Ashura anime after the abortion that Netflix did is over?
It's thanks to Yea Forumsnons like this that our knowledge moves forward, we should be grateful and ignore all the other anons who were already punched in the liver in less retarded ways.
What promise? It can't be "no murdering" considering that's something he's more than ok with up until now, does he know advance or a variant of it?
I figured this was just tigerman before Ohma could remember what he looked like
Maybe those previous murders were completely unrelated to him, or maybe it's some technique he feels is necessary to defeat his current targets
More like his head, or one of his elbows or knees
Don’t be rude, he can be great.
Learn some groundwork though!
>different body types will be better suited for different things
Indeed, but your arm is hurt. Why choose something that would hurt it more? I assume you'll be picking the martial art just to get fit and not to join some underground death match where you have to be the winner, right?
At this rate Koga is going to wind up in some yaoi abuse doujins
user I...
Or if you feel Tae Kwon Do is not manly enough, you could maybe try Muay Thai. Don't they also have kicks? And you don't have to stretch your arm since they have elbow moves.
>and not to join some sort of underground death match where you have to be the winner right?
H-haha... Yeah... What a silly dream, I'm an old cripple...
Tbh I know at this age I could never compete but id like to be a good fighter at any fucking fucking martial art whatsoever. If I just wanted to be fit I'd just lift and do cardio
Did the anime flop? How bad is it? Can't be worse than Berserk, can it?
not necessarily. short and stocky figures have better stability due to lower gravity. For things like the roundhouse and axe kicks the length is beneficial, but for things like jump kicks or side kicks, the lower center of gravity is definitely useful.
Punched, kicked and knee'd, you don't want it, ever.
Thank you user I'm already 23 and it's a shame I didn't start early. I know I could never be a world champion but I'd be happy to be even mook tier.
No such thing as a martial art which isn't manly or anything of the sort, I just want something effective. I'd practice any art as long as it accommodates my arm not being good at snapping motions and my generally hypermobile joints and short stocky build.
I mean to be honest, how much about Mukaku as a person do we really know? His goal was "unification" of the inside, and on top of that being rather vague, all our info on him from Gensai came secondhand from Gensai's own master, who only knew what Mukaku told him in the first place.
It's a bit of a wild theory, but just throwing it out there that there's room for Sandwich to pull a twist regarding him. Of course, Ryuki kinda throws a wrench into Mukaku being associated with Mushi since he was potentially raised by Gaoh but also seems to despise Mushi.
you can't build immunity to those kind of blows
Season 2 is on its way, but iirc season 1 didn't do well...
It's a Netflix anime. It can't really flop.
Bet you haven't tried, while user is out there testing the human limits and transcending them bit by bit.
I know it's bit of a meme, but Krav Maga might be up your alley. It's MA that doesn't do flicks and flurry of blows.
Fun Fact, Macklin is a promoter now and one of his partners is partners with a massive drugs kingpin
Is Seki stronger than José? If yes then , most of Purgatory is pretty low level compared Kengan Association.
>Koga finally stops talking shit
>Gets punished anyways.
Ryuki exudes a 'Tucker and Dale vs Evil' aura where people just die due to accidents around him. Koga is immune to this because he's too stupid to feel it.
They already exist, don't they?
if it's Koga then its bark is worse than its bite. Not a good choice
It genuinely upset me because I really, really enjoyed KA, now I dread every adaptation announcement because it's more and more likely it'll be CG trash
has any other butchered adaptation that was universally reviled ever get a do-over with a new studio?
It's not fucking fair, he was actively preventing people from talking MORE shit and he still gets beat.
One issue with it is they cut basically all of the early fights except Rihito which leads to a really awkward moment when you have Kazzy yelling in this panel when he literally only just met Ohma, has seen him fight once and has had zero time bonding with him.
The biggest flaw is they cut basically every single casual or comedic interaction out of it and it's just a string of fight after fight with very little context to anyone or anything, things like setting up the tension between all the fighters at the resort before the tournament starts is just ignored for straight rolling into the fights, some of which are cut to literally a couple seconds in duration.
Secondly, I find the whole "Stop and let the Narrator explain things" like when Adam gets Zoned, just doesn't translate into animation very well compared to Manga and it really quite jarring.
Is it actually effective though? Everyone says it's basically a meme like aikido is. Honestly I don't mind going abstract and I'm even fine with chops and downward strikes and headbutts, but I'm down to try anything available to me long as it works
I think he is or at least was. God I fucking love seki but he can't really compete.
is that you Zenkichi?
Hope Metsudo sends Retsudo
Normies liked it, they don't have time to read the source/don't care. It has an overall good score. It's all that matters to netflix.
Krav Maga is literally just military training that you can get anywhere, just with the added superficial mystique of being used by the Israeli military
>the first volume of Kengan Asura in in my hands
being an Italian is good.
i built an immunity to spicy food by burning my tongue with hot chili every meal
i think i can probably make my liver strong too
I think Purgatory IS actually pretty low level, I think people were thrown off when they were talking about how the Purgatory A-list are on par with the strongest Kengan Fighters.
People thought that implied they were on par with Agito and Gensai when technically Chiba, Inaba, Himoru, Nezu and Kaneda are all still in the top 3% of strongest Kengan Fighters and are generally considered Legendary in the association.
Davvero? Got to get my hands on it as soon as possible if the translation is good
how would an italian kengan fighter fight?
t. weak liver baby
HOLY SHITT LOOK AT RYUKI WITH THAT SETSUNA FACE
When is based beard man coming back?
Hand strikes involving this gesture
Nova Scrimia?
krav maga was a self defense technique developed by jews during the rise of nazism, based on the idea of not being dragged away to be killed by a group of people, so fight brutally in order to run away.
Then it developed, and as
says it's just a military technique. You won't be taught it unless you join the israeli armed forces.
What you can learn in civilian schools is just a watered down self defense technique.
If you want something useful for self defense go for boxing. Kickboxing if you want to add kicks, but boxing is essentially the most practical and that will take you faster to a useful level for self defense.
Just learning how to parry a punch and how to throw a punch correctly will take you far. Wresting or judo will take you far longer to get to something anywhere useful for irl self defense.
Go to a mma school if you want an all round training.
But in any case the most important thing is experience, so full contact sparring.
Panini Manga?
Istrumpa, a kind of Sardinian Wrestling.
It fucking hurts.
based retard
Wasnt that the snake fist guy? Only with fingers facing opponent?
Yeah. He has mastery over a bunch of techniques.
not really sure. I'd say Boxe because Carnera, but we don't have a tradition of fighting oriented unarmed martial arts. There are things like Greco-Roman wrestling but in my opinion is not really suitable.
not that user, but yes, Planet Manga/ Panini Comics
>People thought that implied they were on par with Agito and Gensai when technically Chiba, Inaba, Himoru, Nezu and Kaneda are all still in the top 3% of strongest Kengan Fighters and are generally considered Legendary in the association
This.
Let's not forget that the Kengan Annihilation tournament was the absolute cream of the crop, and hosted a lot of participants that were not active Kengan fighters.
We have to make sure to not ask any leading questions incase curious anons decide to test things on themselves, next time he might hurt himself
Not with that attitude.
>Planet Manga/ Panini Comics
I hope they make good volumes now, I stopped buying their stuff after my Air Gear/Tenjou Tenge volumes began falling apart after a few months.
You can buff your skull by repeatedly smacking it with a hammer, why can't you buff your liver by repeatedly smacking it with a hammer
Supposed veteran fighters were kicked out on SS. Annihilation too
BUT user I CAN'T DO JABS OR STRAIGHTS I CANT FUCKING BOX REEEE
Thanks for the dump
damn guess this will be a cakewalk then haha
I buff my liver by drinking unhealthy amounts of alcohol
Literally Wyald.
Doesn't seem like that at all. Gensai, Agito, Julius, Wakatsuki and maybe Sen are heads above everyone else in KA too, you're overrating everyone else.
>Hurting pure cinnamon roll
Welp he's the final baddy in my eyes!
It seems José trades a little of 'hard resistance' for acrobatic manouvers (can't wait to see him in full action). I think Seki might still edge him out a bit.
Koga has turned into the goodest boy so quickly, remember like 20 chapters ago when he was the most overconfident fuck?
If i repeatedly get a sledgehammer to the face, can i toughen my bones aswell?
Thats the power of the humble pie.
His promise was no raping the 6th fang of Metsudo in his ear pussy until he can't live without your dick.
In hindsight, it was an odd promise to make.
Training arc with Gensai when?
gensai doesn't take students but koga can watch if he wants
When's my comfy boy making a return?
Grandpa was always very eccentric
he'd end up jobbing to Lihito for the best spot to watch Beard
oh I'm sorry I wasn't following.
thai boxe maybe? mostly based on elbows rather than punches.
He was picked up by Kazou so he definately has a part to play on one of the teams.
Thai boxing sounds like excellent advice, thank you. Thai boxing and bjj or judo sounds ideal to me.
Who's talking about Koga? He already has his teacher. This is about Ryuki.
(I just realized Himuro no-sold the technique that dropped José. How much stronger did he get during the timeskip?)
kazzy didn't even consider himuro for a fighter spot so probably not that stronger
Actually he did, it's just that Himuro has match arranged just before the tournament
Himuro's 'always been a monster', it just isn't convincing at all and Sandro probably regrets having him get wrecked so hard by Kaneda because he reminds the readers how strong he is every time the character shows up
or just join a mma gym which will train on all aspects, and you can just focus on every thing else beside punchin
betting he gets injured and can't participate again to keep the meme alive
himuro's problem is that he's more a technical fighter than one based on physical dominance, so kaneda was a terrible match up for him.
I'm guessing the french guy and trenchcoat man are going to be ridiculously stronger then le epic monkey
Himuro saw Ryuki using Earth-Crouching Dragon against Kokuro.
Anyone who saw Ryuki using it was shown so far to know how to counter it. It's a fucking obvious move.
And José wasn't dropped by it, even if it managed to hurt him.
Gensai and Ryuki recreating the Niko style soon
If I explain what I explained to you guys to an instructor and tell him id rather focus on grappling with some basic striking mainly focused on kicks and elbows will they accommodate this or tell me to shut up and do what everyone else is doing?
Rihito's return wen? I wanna see him reappear as one of the strongest fighters after his off screen training arc with Beard. He deserves it after getting shafted so hard in Pt. 1
>The Devil Razor
He will be an insane offensive striker. Like a fucking mantis.
Depends if he's a moron or not.
If you physically can't punch of course you'll have to train other things. Just go and see.
>Not the Devils Claw.
>People think Akoya won't receive any injuries from fighting Haruo
Guys, are you retarded?
I really, REALLY want to see Himuro's Jeet June Do in action again, Mokichi to fight someone in his league and Hatsumi to successfully use his Stardrop
>Hatsumi to successfully use his Stardrop
logs everywhere are trembling with fear
Mokichi as well. I want to see what he can do against someone not at the level of Raian.
But yeah, Rihito, the obvious fit Haruo, unencumbered Rei, Raian 'with Kure techniques'... it doesn't seem Kengan puts that much emphasis on redemption stories though.
Hassad will return for Purgatory however.
He's gonna show up and still suck shit to subvert your expectation
that would be way too mean
>not Occam's Razor, the ultimate technique obtained by removing any wasteful element in his attack
That sounds like some Fate-tier shit where he just removes any useless chapters from the manga
Can't believe they let fucking Kaneda take out Himuro.
That fight was a massive disappointment, and lo and behold, Kaneda was a shitter in the tournament.
here's your 8th fang bro
In a fight with a guy who specializes in grappling it could be horrific and kill people. But for a dude who does a striking primary like karate maybe less so.
I fully expect at least one of the Julius, Kuroki, Hatsumi trio to be on the Purgatory team, possibly Hatsumi?
Have they confirmed that it's just 13 straight fights or is it until one team is entirely eliminated.
To be fair, Himuro would have gotten destroyed by Gaolang too, maybe just not quite as effortlessly.
What's wrong with wanting to be strong, user?
(aside from the fact that the Kengan Grand Tournament is not the time nor place to test yourself. Kaneda got lucky.)
imagine if he got paired against a psycho like raian instead of an honorable guy like gaolang
I like Kaneda, just think the grand tournament was a really bad place for him. Same with that Chiba Takayuki, what an absolute joke.
>Secondly, I find the whole "Stop and let the Narrator explain things" like when Adam gets Zoned, just doesn't translate into animation very well compared to Manga and it really quite jarring.
Baki did a pretty good job at it, both with the older adaptations and the latest one. They just did a shit job with the KA attempts.
>Judo if you don't want to go on the ground
That's weird cause I spent more time doing groundwork in judo than in wrestling. I always though it was cause judo had way longer times for pins.
youtube.com
But remember to go for the jugular, or you'll only piss off the grappler more... and he won't give you the chance to tap next time. You need a bite comparable to Rihito's grip to be viable in more circumstances.
Or Meguro. Or Julius.
Or... anybody really. Enjoy the head trauma. Challenging a world champion boxer and muay thai... baka.
Partially but there's the fact that fang of metsudo is a title with a bit of a history behind it. Same as how gaolang is a sword of the emperor, there's a bit of history and tradition for the title.
I think Lu Tian might be the strongest of the group actually. Sandrovich and Daromeon are huge fighting game fans, and Lu Tian is giving off some massive M. Bison vibes.
Depends on the gym you go to, Judo has groundwork but many gyms don't teach it as it's not really part of sports judo
>Saw sides with Purgatory to get a rematch with Gaolang
>Retsudo enters as 8th Fang and fights Saw instead in order to get him to leave his sister alone
Jose fights like Seki which means that he just tanks everything. He could probably neutralize it if he wanted to.
>The fang of Metsudo is chosen from Metsudo's personal bodyguards, of course loyalty to Metduso is a quality they all should share
Hatsumi was a Fang candidate who was going to skip all that if he was chosen, wasn't he? Monkeyman is probably the same.
Trenchcoat dude is the masked man from Chapter 1
I meant the grappler being the biter not the other way around. Biting the guy who has you in an armbar is how you get your arm snapped.
the masked man?
Bane?
Your body literally just peaces out for like a minute.
You're a big vessel.
Giorgio Petrosyan ripoff.
For Gu
This C-level match was pretty hardcore, and the two fighters could have enough skills to survive the premilanries (barley). If as some people suspected have an S-level, then by the love of god, the Kengan Association is fucked.
lotta loyalty for a hired g̶u̶n̶ fist
Metsudo is not a keikaku master. Is just a gutsy gambler.
So I actually there there are 2 theories involving the promise Ryuki made
1: The obvious 'Don't kill non Worms'
2: 'Do not use THIS style'. As one user joked earlier perhaps there is a different Dragon Style in the same veins as the Katas, Ryuki had been using a blunt Earth style and now he's preparing to use a blade like Wind Style which Grandpa Gaoh forbade because of how deadly it is
>For Gu
Excellent post, user.
Kaneda and Himuro is supposedly like Okubo vs Cosmo. Okubo and Himuro were far stronger than either of their opponents, but fucked around and got 'gotten' because of it.
If he wants Ryuki to go out and kill people why ban him from using a style good for
killing people? Plus Ryuki murdered the fuck out of that guy that broke his glasses. Unless Worm people are disgusting themselves as office workers.
Said office worker worked for a company inside the KA.
what if his promise was that he wouldn't learn other styles, and now he's gonna accept kazzy's offer to let himuro train him?
Ryuki's grandpa was a boomer convinced that his style is the ultimate?
possibly. or maybe he thought ryuki would always live on the inside and wanted to protect him from getting possessed
Sen is really loyal to Nogi though so I'd expect the same if he worked for metsudo. Except he'd be abusing all the villas metsudo has to own like crazy.
Those were the top of C list, Jose said their strength level is that of mid B
Why would the Gaoh style be the ultimate if it was already left behind to become the Niko style? I doubt Gaoh blamed the Niko style for half his students killing each other
Thats still pretty darn impressive. Imagine the top of B and A then
Why does the artist like to draw his characters with stubby feet?
Feet were always daro's weakness. And he doesn't really have time to focus on improving with weekly releases to maintain.
In fact, I don't really want to highlight it, but in the past month+, I noticed a lot of iffy anatomy and it makes me sad.
Gaoh style is probably not his real style
Oh shit, is that the Wu guy?
The anatomy has never been good in Asura or Omega. Its 'stylized' to be polite.
French guy will be weaker, Trenchcoat guy will be very strong.
I'd like to see sumo guy return but it got called out early he wouldn't be.
what if his promise was to not use the niko style
Whoever edited all that together to make that webm did a terrible job. The actual, full clip is just as funny as in the manga.
Monkeyman was a bodyguard before being chosen as fang
I'm honestly excited for Koga to start fighting. I think it'll happen through substitution midway through the tournament though.
I legit like Koga more than Ohma now, I don't even know how this happened.
Hey, if somebody does the same thing to my friend I'd also would want to murder the fucker
He isn't, how could you forget this handsome face user?
>the Kengan association will ultimately win because everyone is gay for Koga and gets a revenge power up after he is badly hurt
honestly it's not that bad
he just need to make them a bit flatter and longer
>Koga brings in the win by being a beaten puppy.
Harsh.
>Ryuuki turns out to be actually, unironically gay for Koga
How would you feel?
It's not like Ohma ever had much of a personality desu
Fine. Sandrovich unironically handled gay characters pretty well in Kengan Asura. The CEO was a gay stereotype but ended up being a pretty cool guy, and he had an effeminate gay fighter who was still pretty kickass (just very badly matched up vs. Julius).
Because he’s the only “realistic” fighter (kenganverse UFC equivalent champ) and not necessarily a blatant superhuman like 90% of the other charavters
I don't think Koga will be on the base roster for the KA. I'm not convinced Kuroki will be either.
Okubo vs Agito was one of the best fights in KA imo
I think Agito is going to lose to the Monkeyman.
This, it’s so cringy in manga like baki and Kengan that fighting for money is seen as some lowly disonhorbaru act
It’s literallt why most people fight irl
I mean he is but he was mindbroken by the Gu ritual to be fair
The only real and major problem was cutting everything that wasn't a fight from the story, I don't know about you guys but what made this series so fucking great for me was the characters, the character development and the characters interaction, the fights came into the 4th place of importance, yet Netflix decided to just focus on the 4th place, and yeah, the 3D was awful.
It would be nice. Sandy was pretty good at having characters be gay and have that not be everything about them. One of the former fighter execs was gay, but that was only mentioned in the author's notes, that other exec that became Kazuo's friend turned out to be a bro, that ballerina was actually pretty cool too, and Setsuna was something.
I think FujoLady was bi too, but I don't remember.
The problem with fighting the Monkeyman is that you gotta watch out for Tweeter while you're at it.
I don't think Agito will get his fight anyways. Something will come up and blueball him.
Kengan is a japan-centered underground scene, they don't even cover other parts of asia.
>Ryuki has just been fucking around using a bad fighting style
Koga would be pissed if he found out the gap between them is even bigger than he thought
I'm not sure if Setsuna was gay or just psychosexual.
what if his promise was to not take another male lover
But there's something called "loyalty", most fighters have extreme amounts of loyalty for their company.
He really improved a lot since Kengan Asura's debut, though. Although his style back then looked alot "rougher" and some people might have preferred that ('member hobo Gensai and hobo+AIDS Wakatsuki?)
And the feet thing, although they look off and I'm no art expert, its probably because 90% of the cast in this manga are absolute units, so they need absolute feets to support their weight or something.
I think the fact he's been trained and hit by absolute monsters will completely warp his understanding of power levels when for he does start fighting, he'll go into the fight thinking this low-tier fighter is Cosmo level.
this fight was so fucking legendary
>I can't believe how slow this guy is! He must be trying to bait me into a counter - I'd better be really careful here.
That would make sense since the creator improved it into the Niko style with the help of Gensai's master, so it's a bit weird that the exact same style would be taught to a student like 50+ years later.
This was a nice thread, well filled. g'night y'all, see you next week!
she only likes strong men
like ohma
probably koga soon
He was both.
because he likes kazzy and ohma more than that monkey
Who is that next to Karla?
Fair point.
He's Toriko incarnate.
>If I punch the same spot multiple times in a row quickly it'll increase the damage
The lightweight can only manage a 3-kugi-punch though.
>I think FujoLady was bi too, but I don't remember.
FujoLady had a bit of a yuri fetish too. Rino was implied to be bi.
>left to the devices of Americans
It's an Isreali martial art, there's a reason it's called jew-jitsu.
Fusui. She's Raian's sister.
Ah yeah, the sniper.
Was toga guy who jobbed to Ryuki greek or was he just larping?
Who was the first male lover
kek
>Yurikawa Taiju
>greek
Nah, when talking about pankration Adam says it came to Japan, so I'd say it's full nip, not even like Mokichi
