Hey Yea Forums how do you get your news on manga updates? i tried using rss on mangadex but it was half working...
seyana
arenaaaaaaa
>Pick up manga
>Translations just stops one day
>It got licensed by corporate boomers so detached from modern society that it genuinely feels like a completely different series without the soul and enthusiasm the fan translations had
>Still have to wait a few years just for the new translations to catch up with the new content
>I wouldn't have known any of this if it weren't for the kind anons that brought me back into the loop with the news
Thanks guys
Also,
>how the fuck does one not forgot the context of the manga when the damn artist updates the shit every couple on months?!
Rereading every 4-6 months
I'm going back into anime and manga, and i haven't really visited Yea Forums that much before but thanks anons!
>Rereading every 4-6 months
fugg i don't have the time for this, i don't even have time for 12 episodes of anime.
>Go to manga site
>Check the manga I'm currently reading for updates
>>Go to manga site
now this is what i'm talking about, i forget even basic shit like this, that's why i made an rss notification for this.
I got everything in Tachiyomi, categorized and all. Sometimes a manga stops updating and months later I learn about some scanlator drama that got the manga pulled off from Mangadex.
>Tachiyomi
oh yea this exists, i remember using it in the past, thx!
yAttaze
I've run into situations where the translation dies of a manga only for some else to pick it up months later or years later. It honestly doesn't feel even worth it for a series that isn't berserk. Just happened to me with Aiki I can't even remember the characters that were fighting...
Also baka manga updates can keep up with your series and normally has when new chapters come out.
Have a memory. and check each manga yearly.
>Just memorize bro, it aint hard bro just don't forget.
I swear if i can select a superpower of my choice it would be remembering everything vividly.
>context
I stopped speedreading and stopped picking up series unless they were deep in and had consistent translations.
I remember picking up prison lab and getting pissed off to only wait for a NTR chapter, manga was shit too but wanted to see what would happen.
just speedread to refresh yourself
Unless the series is once piece or ippo long you can do it in like 2 hours
anyone know wtf is going on with mangarock? also thoughts on mangarock i guess but if they go down what's the alternative
I just check my follows tab every now and then.
Bookmark site -> make sure the bookmark is in some kind of "check yearly" folder -> Check yearly
Yeah. Reading Viz-like translations is completely missing the point of reading the manga. Fucking burgers.
If you're living in burgerland, you can't really complaing about manga official releases. Okay maybe except Viz and Vertical.
Now imaging something 10x worse than vertical and viz with redrawn all SFX which looks like it was done in MS Paint and default windows fonts and full culture washout.
Faggots are starting to provide paid service for official translations which is completely making them useless. And were frustrating me for a long time already. All manga titles were shown translated and there were no way to show original titles. Fuck the shit.
I wish manga dex would release android app which would be similar to manga rock in terms of reading options.
Mangadex for scanlations, Yea Forums, madokami, and your chinese agreegator of choice for official scans. In the case of Shonen Jump, just use the app since you get new chapters for free. The back catalog isn't free though.
Tachiyomi.
mangaupdates
Well, the app. This is the problem. Manga rock had phenomenal phone app. I didn't really care about their server and aggregated Manga. But thier app was awesome.
If you've got android then use tachiyomi.
It's nowhere close. Really.
It isn't forcing English titles at least
>Hey Yea Forums how do you get your news on manga updates?
Most of the shit I read gets threads on Yea Forums or /u/.
>how the fuck does one not forgot the context of the manga when the damn artist updates the shit every couple on months?
I pay attention.
