Now you might be thinking, "how does an anime managed to be so easily digestible that even normalfag e-celebs and twitter users could easily consume it?" KnY has all recipe to create a "hype train" of newcomers and synthetic anime consumers. For Yea Forums who've already familiar with the tried and true shounen tropes, thankfully we do not simply fall to the hype and is able to quickly recognize what KnY truly is: A mere perfect storm of mediocrity.

And the animation is nice. Yeah, some of the characters are annoying and almost got me to drop the series, but all in all it is really pretty and well done. Is it a masterpiece of storytelling? No. Is it a slightly unconventional battle series that talks about emotions and has really slick animation? Yes.
