Asumi chapters are generally dull. At least there will no Asumi for a few weeks after this.
Asumi herself feels like filler. She exists to pad the harem to five because Sensei + three incapables would be odd and Sensei would stand out even more than she already does. The rotation structure and giving each heroine a chapter barely works anymore because Tsutsui messed up the balance too much and Sensei became too popular. The five should have equal relevance for it to work but Asumi is clearly a side character pushed into heroine position.

I thought about that last night after I finished catching up to the last chapter then the thread died. Maybe I need to reread it to verify it or the shine has worn off for me, but once they all got dead set on Fuuts it seems like they all lost a lot of focus towards their own other pursuits. Here we've got Rizu with the family shop; Fumino with her dad issues, astrology, and mediating Nari's feelings for the others; Uraka with her unstoppably growing focus on swimming; Asumi with her doctor exam for keeping the clinic up; and even the teacher getting issues resolved with how she felt about figure skating. All this with a pretty constant backdrop of them getting flustered around him and visa versa, but not to the point that that's the only plot focus. They're still constantly shown studying too and all. Meanwhile, Ichika and Itsuki with the acting and teaching respectively got some focus, maybe Miku with that cooking bit too, and that's it. Otherwise it's a bunch of "I wanna see and spend time with Fu-kun" recently. I'm okay with that since the dance and waifu war is fun to watch, but I think this is a lot more appealing with only Uraka and recently Rizu all but overtly showing and accepting the feelings they have while the rest are still close enough to have a shot. I actually had a few chapters extract some tears too when there are vulnerable moments for them at major character development points. Still like both, but I'm happy to have some different perspective now.
