Listen faggot, I read the VNs up to the part where Beatrice was killed and brought back to life.
The only good part was the first VN. Each chapter was a literal chore just so you can find out the actual ending.
Umineko readers have Stockholm syndrome where 90% of everything is utter shit and then when you finally get to the cream of the crop you start praising it like it's actual good writing. There is not fate worse than being an Umineko reader.

They take place in different kakera with some characters coming across. Bernkastel is super blatant as is Okonogi.

I assume they're going to take place in the same universe, just in different Fragments. After all, if was a story unrelated to Umineko or Higurashi and didn't take place in the When They Cry universe, he wouldn't have called it WTC and would have just released it as its own, stand-alone story like he did with Higanbana and Rose Guns Days.

Did you miss those moments in the story where Battler or others would state that if they could survive long enough for the umineko to cry (in the morning after the storm passed) they would survive? Anyway, in this case, Ciconia are a type of migratory stork that are known for mating for life (if one of the pair dies the survivor almost never finds another mate).

Ryukishi07 can't write, he got lucky with Higurashi and even that started to suck near the very end.
His stuff would be better off shorter and more horror focused but he always layers on the cliches and cheese which ruins whatever tone is set. Rokkenjima was so cool until it turned into hyper-fantasy bullshit.

Essentially it takes place a hundred years after WW3 and it's a about a bunch of super solider kids and teens from different nations who are all friends with each other. Shit will eventually go down when WW4 starts and they will have to start killing each other. Aside from that not much else is known.
