Why were so many plot points left unresolved? Was the manga canned?
For example the guy who saved Josuke when he was a kid looked like a hint to some sort of time travel shit happening in the future. Or Echoes act 3 only having one very specific power, when all his other forms had more generic ones. I figured alienguy's plot was left like this on purpose but otherwise it really feels like it just wasn't finished properly
Mikitaka was time travel Josuke. When Josuke went back in time he went and dropped Koichi on his head as a baby, ensuring that Act 3 would be stunted power-wise.

>time travel shit Was never intended and was just meant to be a coincidence with no special significance. The fact that it was a random thug who got in a street fight who decided to help a trapped woman and child is supposed to play into the golden spirit of Morioh. >Echoes Act 3 It having a specific but strong power is meant to represent Koichi's growth. His first two stands have more flashy, general powers that can do many things, but it eventually narrows down into a practical, useful ability without a lot of flare that can get the job done. Like Koichi, it isn't especially interesting, but it's trustworthy. He likes to play things safe. >alien guy Yeah, that one was left purposely ambiguous because Morioh is supposed to be a town full of oddities beyond just the many stand users there. He may have been an actual alien or he might've just been a weird stand user. That's just the way the town is.
This meme is shit and you're shit. There are very few actual "Araki forgot" moments and these are not among them. He may change his mind occasionally like with some villains' powers between their first and later appearances, but it's for the purpose of making a more compelling story.
Luis Cook
On another note, what would a fight between pic related and D4C be like?
Oh for fuck's sakes, stop it with HURR TIME TRTAVEL JOSUKE BRRRR RDRRRR DURRRRR meme bullshit, fucking stop. Fuck off already. Just kill yourself if you're actually retarded enough to think that it was actually supposed to be some time travel bullshit. Kill yourself for not getting the point of Part 4. Kill yourself for not even being able to read the name of the last chapter which spells it out for your infant baby retard brain.
Fucking kill yourself.
Sebastian Taylor
What I'm more curious about is who would win: Man In The Mirror or The Hanged Man?
John King
>no dude it was just a normal kid who lived in the town, there never was any time travel planned!
And? The opening of Part 4 features a bunch of punks with dumb hairstyles harassing Josuke. He was probably interchangeable with any other JD of the time period.
Wyatt Rogers
When Jolyne attacked Vinnesauce’ stand with a pen. Only stands can damage others stands
Grayson Wright
>his mom didn't find this random literal who delinquent >HE TOTALLY CAME FROM THE FUTURE BROS EVEN THOUGH BITES THE DUST DOESN'T EVEN GO BACK THAT FAR!!1!! Fuck off Pedro
Easton Powell
>Jolyne attacked Vinnesauce’ stand with a pen. Only stands can damage others stands >Jolyne attacked Vinnesauce’ stand with a pen >Jolyne attacked Vinnesauce’ stand case closed retard
Kevin Gutierrez
These are not speculative plot points. Jojo is not a subtle story. The author forgot, It’s okay to admit it
Eli Carter
>Vinesauce vinny?
Hunter Hernandez
based retard speculating about speculative plot points
Camden Ross
>Jojo is not a subtle story. This. It boggles my mind how people can say that Araki was "implying" or "hinting" at their theories when he loves to beat you over the head with all the actual plot points.
Joseph Smith
>Only stands can damage others stands Only stand users can damage stands and vice-versa.
Kayden Brooks
>nobody knew who he was Yeah I'm sure it was just some teenager living in the town all by himself with no family and he had a school uniform but never went to school
> Kill yourself for not even being able to read the name of the last chapter which spells it out for your infant baby retard brain.
"Goodbye, Morioh Town - The Golden Heart" (さよなら杜王町 - 黄金の心 Sayonara Moriōchō - Ōgon no Kokoro)?
How does that relate at all to or answer anything about the alleged time travel point?
Adam Thomas
>Kill yourself for not getting the point of Part 4.
Please explain for the class.
Christian Moore
I feel sorry for people who can't read
Nathaniel Nguyen
Can't read what?
Lincoln Baker
What do you expect from VAfags? Maybe they would get it if you cut out the final fight vs Kira and replaced it with a flashback arc where Okuyasu was attacked by a stand that looked like a golden heart.
Zachary Miller
Why didnt josuke unfuse okuyasu's dad from the dio plant?
Hunter Garcia
His fanfiction.
Ryder Morgan
It'd be more helpful to the discussion if you'd just state your point instead of REEEEEing over and over.
Luke Cooper
the dad wasn't 'broken' his power isn't returning things to their original state, his power is repairing things that are broken. their dad was whole and was a functioning life form. Josuke himself explains this.
Evan Sanders
>Josuke himself explains this. When?
Jace Brown
Not him, but how I interpret it is it's saying Morioh's residents are good people with hearts of gold. Almost all of their enemies became good and even Kira was just a mentally ill dude who had to kill or else he would go through awful withdrawal symptoms. It's not too outlandish to say a random delinquent who came out of a fist fight would save a mom and her son stranded in snow. Why? Because Morioh's residents have hearts of gold and good will always prevail and lead them down the righteous path. It would actually be really shitty writing if Josuke was the one who inspired himself in a loop.
Then why can all stand can’t use a gun/sword a kill the enemy faster? you turned an “araki forgot” moment into shit writting
Tyler Thomas
>hearts of gold >Almost all of their enemies became good >became then it isn’t hearts of gold
Dominic Miller
they weren't really bad, most were just young people going on a joyride with their powers like most would. The people Josuke judged the hardest were the legitimately irredeemable guys, which were like Angelo and that guy with the paper powers if I'm remembering correctly. Most importantly, justice and righteousness will always prevail
Kevin Nelson
What the anime does has no relevance to what was happening during that part. They also used some magic sparkle effect and I think made the guy look more beat up than he was in the manga. The anime is probably one of the reasons this stupid claim is still circulating. The guy in the flashback doesn't even have Josuke's clothes. His uniform is missing all of the accessories that Josuke has. The whole scene is also Koichi's interpretation of the vague shit that Josuke told him when he was only half listening.
Alexander Turner
>The guy in the flashback doesn't even have Josuke's clothes. His uniform is missing all of the accessories that Josuke has. >The whole scene is also Koichi's interpretation of the vague shit that Josuke told him when he was only half listening. You just refuted your own argument. The guy in the flashback doesn't have the accessories because it was Koichi's interpretation. Obviously he isn't going to imagine a student with Josuke's exact accessories.
Justin Martin
yeah lets track down some random ass kid with a funky hairstyle and a school uniform. sounds good
The alien is a gun gag. Act 3 was just an unrealized gimmick that Araki poorly thought out. >basing a Stand on English rhymes when you dont kno English >and the only rhyme you can think of wasn't actually a rhyme The mystery guy is just that, a mysterious stranger who despite appearances was willing to thanklessly help others even despite his own well being. Which influenced Josuke to the point it's his fucking Stand. It's not a dropped point, it's the point.
Samuel Scott
Enigma was just a creep though, he didn't deserve to get booked.
Nolan Murphy
bitch you may be onto something, the only one who josuke killed were two adults that already knew they were doing bad things. Maybe Josuke isn’t aa retarded as he looks
Xavier Williams
>Josuke told to Koichi the origins of why he is like that but he didn’t to Okyuyazu Lol imagine being cucked. But that and the part in the Hanzama fight in which Koichi and Josuke do a handshake kinda looks like Koichi was going to be the OG brojo but araki changed his mind because Okyuyazu and Josuke made a better couple
Jeremiah Walker
He's just a mama's boy
Evan Phillips
No, even if you're a Stand user, you still typically can't hurt a Stand by punching or kicking it yourself. It's mentioned time and time again. Hell, if you want a specific example, look at the Man in the Mirror fight where the entire point was that without a Stand, anyone dragged into the mirror world was absolutely helpless.
Dominic Nelson
remember how he turned the cooked restaurant food back into separate vegetables?
Adrian Wright
I could see Illuso dragging Valentine into the mirror world and offing him, only to leave and see there's another one just standing out there since D4C would just drag in another Valentine in the outside world. I wouldnt be surprised if Valentine somehow fooled Illuso into taking in an alternate version of himself or something.
David Butler
>The fact that it was a random thug who got in a street fight who decided to help a trapped woman and child is supposed to play into the golden spirit of Morioh. The random thug showed up during the worst blizzard Morioh experienced in 18 years, to help a woman stuck in snow on a country road 2 kilometers away from the closest house user, just fucking admit he had a time travel idea that he dropped
>even the Japanese thought there would be time travel I don't know how anybody can deny it at this point.
Lincoln Wood
>Taking Jojo that seriously
You're doing it wrong
Jordan Allen
>an author talking about his ongoing work doesn't want to spoil anything related to it Color me shocked Post something that was interviewed after part 4 finished serialization and then we'll talk
Gavin James
He doesn't even deny that it was Josuke, he just says it isn't related to the plot
Adam Long
Why doesn't "Josuke" from the memory have the same clothes that he wears everyday?
>Josuke styles his hair to match the man that saved him What's so fucking hard to understand here?
Ethan Ross
So you are admitting your shitty theory doesn't make any sense? If Araki was planning for time travel wouldn't he pay attention to all the small details. Josuke would have the same clothes if that was him, right?
Connor White
Everything else? Read the thread.
Charles Jones
>Josuke would have the same clothes if that was him, right? Nope.
To be fair, Morioh reminds me a lot of my hometown, except not as poor and shit, and the thing about rural little towns like that is that everyone know everyone. It actually IS unrealistic that someone wouldn't know someone in a small for a town society like that, and how closely knit the people are in Morioh was shown in one of the first scenes in Part 4, when some dude is trying to hit on Tomoko, she hits back and dude tries to call cops on her, only to find out the cop is her relative. It's played out for a gag, but it's plenty realistic.
Well, the fact is that Tomoko didn't question whether she should try to find that kid or not, she definitely tried and definitevely couldn't.
Joshua Sanchez
Ok, we get it, the guy that saved isn’t Josuke that traveled to the past. We cool? No, fucking no. Araki dropped the backstory of the MC but he did incompleted. Who was the guys? Why he was during an storm and very injured? How could Josuke’s mom could never found him? And then Araki just forget about it. And don’t tell me this is an ambiguous shit just like the alien, because there is no explanation that she could never find that guy. Wasn’t that hard to Araki to make an arc in which we met the same guy years ago and we could finally see Josuke thanked him and, as a demostration of character development, he finally changes his stupid hair with something less gay? Fuck, it was just wasted potential. But anyways Josuke is a bad jojo and Koichi is the actual MC soooo nothing of value was lost lol
Isaac Price
Because if that's all that's meant to be interpreted then he's left a shitload of extraneous details without explanation that are blatantly mysterious, like his injuries, his sudden appearance, and his immediate understanding of the situation, and drawn it all in a way that's a literal and clear view of the events that won't be interpreted as vague. Compare Giorno's flashback in part 5 which is essentially the same thing but is made completely unambiguous. It's essentially the same as if Flashback Man from Jojolion turns out to not be significant.
Jace Fisher
Who is the flashback guy from Jojolion?
Alexander Peterson
WHY DOES JOSUKE DRESS LIKE THE GUY HE'S EXPLICITLY IMITATING
IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE UNLESS THEY'RE ACTUALLY THE SAME PERSON
Camden Gomez
They can, it's just not as effective. Look at sex pistols. Hell, even the first stand fight had star platinum grabbing iron bars. Then there was polnareff vs. Devo. Stands get hurt by objects all the time, keep reading jojolion and I'm sure we'll see it more with the current fight
Carson Allen
To be fair Act 3 is basically an instant win button if Araki isn't a hack.
Evan Bell
Then why they were saying that only stand can damage others stand during all part 3?
James Watson
>just turn off your brain lol yeah you can fuck off forever
Brandon Murphy
If a stand grabs a knife, then stabs another stand, could you not say that that is a stand hurting a stand
Brandon Gray
>Act 3 Killthisfagotte
Wyatt Diaz
then Star Platinum with a katana would be the strongest stand ever?
Jeremiah Gutierrez
araki forgot.
Jonathan Murphy
>the emperor has a E in precision because araki forgot about when it literally dodged silver chariot's sword block >crazy diamond initially healed things in a fucked up way >gold experience initially put the ones it punched into a state of super awareness where their mind went too fast for their body
Jackson Nelson
the worst jojofag is one that can't accept that araki is a poor writer.
Jason Johnson
I mean, sometimes he is.
Kayden Scott
Nah, the strongest would be speed king with a sword, because fire sword
Gavin Garcia
Emperor has an E in precision because of David Productions, Araki didn't do stand stats unntil part 5. Also, Emperor is a very inaccurate gun, Hol Horse to control the bullets himself Crazy Diamond can fix things in different ways, he can heal things normally or completely change their shape, like when he punched up the ground to turn it into a wall in the Highway Star fight Yeah I'm gonna be honest I think the Gold Experience punch thing was just completely removed because it was too strong.
Ryder Gomez
>"It's just a cold" but..bit it is a Japanese cold!
josukes mom was confirmed to be a hot piece of ass. the delinquent helped her because of this and josuke doesnt want to admit that so he rationalizes it to fit his vision of a hero. the delinquent died after from his wounds.
there now shute the fuck up
Liam Gray
Sleeping Slaves kind of reminded me of the ending of No Country for Old Men. A random story that seemingly has no connection or purpose after the main plot right before it abruptly ends but has a deeper meaning. >youtu.be/VXNfxK5Q2Qg
