its cool

Yea Forums has shit taste and would rather talk about their seasonal garbage shows that they only watch for whatever big titty waifu of theirs.

what if fujiko is my big titty waifu?

Americans weren't exposed to it when it was huge and don't understand it/are intimidated by the huge backlog.

Their loss, since the IP is experiencing a new golden age. I think Part 5 and the Koike movies are the best entries since Cagliostro.

didn't like the goemon movie that much but the other two are great

The Goemon one is my favorite, so cool and stylish. Hawk is one of the scariest Lupin antagonists.

Attached: 26341251261.png (1280x720, 1.07M)

yeah, just felt like goemon couldn't carry a movie by himself. Feel like he needs Lupin and Jigen to play off of

Fuck this shitty special.
It was worse than TWCFM.

Attached: goodbye partner.jpg (400x400, 30K)

Goemon rides a horse in it so your complaint is invalid

It was literally televised in parts of the US

Sorry, maybe I should be more specific on why I don't like it.
>The main villain's scheme is pants-on-head-retarded
>TMS trying to shove their politics into lupin
>the 2nd half of the movie is boring asf

Yeah it was kinda weird but I'm just a sucker for the way their group dynamics work. I thought it was kinda funny to watch japan try to grasp american politics

That ending with the AI was pretty stupid as well, like that would work in real life all the top countries would take back all their resources by force.

it's for Italians only.

piss off, fujiko is worst girl of all time

Ami master race

>French character
>for italians only

really makes you think

lupin is legitimately the best anime series of all time, the characters have proven to be truly timeless given how the series has had every tone and kind of story you can have and they all generally work

it's just not my favorite, is all.

Yeah but it had Desert and that's a great piece of OST

Never watched it where should I start? What should I avoid?

Watch the entire TV series starting with Part 1.

you don't know how popular Lupin is here in Italy. Why do you think there has been an Italian series before a French one?
The biggest anime here are:
Holly&Benji (because fuck Captain Tsubasa)
Lupin
Dragon Ball
Saint Seya

Do you like Golden Wind?

start with Castle of Cagliostro, then part IV and V

>Why do you think there has been an Italian series before a French one?

prove it

It sucks that the frenchies got the better series.
But half of 5 is all over the world anyway.

No.

ironically we dont even have the manga licensed in France

for me it's:
4>2>7>5>3=1>6 (I haven't read 8 yet)
Mostly because of Giorno. I hate how secondary he is and the retarded power he has.

Would smash Fujiko.

No matter how much yuros seethe, Yea Forums is an American imageboard. America has a very weird view of anime because it didn't have much exposure before the 2000s. Essentially, America is an anime newfag and this board is full of them.

being a Saturday Morning/Disney afternoon faggot must have been suffering.

there's nothing ironic about it zoomer

it's because of copyright concerning the name Lupin, which has since expired

I watched that stuff too and I'm italian.

these are better than anime

but it was name Edgar in France, they could have keep the same for the manga

I tried but I couldn't bring myself, I legit got mad with Duck Tales for ditchin Donald and for how they were portraing Scrooge (I'm a huge disney Italia faggot too), I found Darkwing Duck boring and lame compared to Paperinik well as the other cartoons. Aladdin is the only I legit like of that bunch . But maybe I'm just weird.

I liked pretty much everything, but PKNA was the shit.

What are they going to do w/o monkey punch if they make a p6?

Oh, I never said the music was shit. I still love Yuji Ohno's music, but what pisses me off is that this movie has one of my favorite remixes of Lupin's theme.

>nu-Yea Forums even knowing of Lupin's existence
You're delusional.

Author was kill couple of months ago, did Yea Forums even notice??

I'll never understand the hate for the Fujiko Mine spinoff.
There was a sticky for Monkey Punch

Only for a day

Weren't you here? He had a sticky.

>I'll never understand the hate for the Fujiko Mine spinoff.
Poor animation. Janky storyboards. Overly busy art direction. Shit trap OC. The worst Zenigata. Mediocre episodic stories. Shit overarching plot. Nothing ending.

Saturday mornings were where all the anime was. Until it good moved to Friday nights.
I say this as a leaf who didn't have Cartoon Network/Toonami by default.

This is what happens when a series is over-discussed. It's better that Yea Forums just agree Lupin is good and have occasional threads than letting it devolve into that.

The yurishit pandering really did a number on that manga.

No room for pr/a/ise. Only h/a/te.
If you make a thread for things you like only two things happen.
An open invite for haters and shitposters
And for people to instantly dismiss it as a rec thread.

What are the highlight episodes of Part II? I don't really feel like watching the entirety of a 150 episode episodic show.

Attached: 1562752458484.gif (497x276, 911K)

do you really expect someone to believe this

we did notice in France

Fujiko looks like a normal grown woman with large boobs. Yea Forums prefers girls that look like 12 year old but have giant bolt on tits because this board is for disgusting pedos who only watch anime because theyre pedos, not because they have any special preferences for anime
Now go ahead with your salty (you)s you subhuman faggots, you deserve death for ruining this community

Lupin's extremely popular as far as anime goes in the USA, though. It's just never quite popped out of niche status that almost all anime is stuck in.

its only on Toonami who is watched by 10 peoples so how it can popular?

That was the most popular way to watch TV anime in America at the time, but just as many people or more are exposed through Castle of Cagliostro.

Part 5 has such bad ratings they moved it to the 0330 slot and it STILL gets beat by a MHA rerun at 0400

>Lupin's extremely popular as far as anime goes in the USA
Not really. I did see a fair amount of Lupin stuff when I went to Italy, though.

Toonami is being ran by an incompetent fuck who unironically wants shit like Rooster teeth "anime" on Toonami, he already has some sjw show from them on Toonami right now.

>Would
You mean you haven't?
I mean, how bad can it possibly be?

Italy are in love with Lupin III and they should make a new live action with Japan and France

bad like DQ V

Watch them all faggot

>Putting dragonball along with those 3 other series
>Not mentioning Hokuto No Ken
Top kek
any 30+ old pastafag would recognize at least other 15 different animes from the 80s before DB. When it first aired it completely flew under the radar.

I know people dislike it for the change in voice actors, but The Fuma Conspiracy just really blew me away with its animation, that car chase scene was by far the most exciting I’ve seen in any medium. I also recently watched some of the episodes of S2 animated by Telecom and found those really enjoyable.

Is there that much to say about Lupin though? Everyone knows that it’s good and it operates on a pretty straightforward formula.

I want more normal grown women with large boobs

What are some Essential LupinCore Movies?

no one talks about it because it attracts Yea Forums retards that think theyre cool and mature for watching epic retro cartoons

becaues lupin is basically nothing like the anime that us boomers went crazy for in 2001, it's doesn't market kid toys, it's not insanely more epic than capeshit, and it doesn't try to be stylistically innovative

not that lupin isn't a good old time, but it has every right to not make weebs cream themselves

Rude

she cant walk the street without someone raping her tits 2 or 3 times

Cagliostro

I hate Lupin smirk in this version
Fujiko also doesn't look great
I like them way more in the Master File
youtube.com/watch?v=gZXBU3bURWc
Jigen is fantastic even with the new look
Goemon and Zenigata looks fine

Based Pastafag. PKNA was the best shit ever.
Second chapter in and they show half of duckburg blowing up in a nuclear accident. To this day i still wonder how that idea was greenlit in the first place

subs when

Already, look up on nyaa

Nobody ever seems to bring up Alcatraz Connections, but I really like it. The only problem is that it kind of suffers from that early computer colorization that a lot of early 2000's anime has.

What color should Lupin wear next?

>t. ionlywatchedpart5fag...

rainbow

Only acceptable answer

Attached: Lupin 4.png (659x480, 462K)

the Hugo Boss SS color

So far he's worn green, multiple versions of red, pink, blue, black ect.

youtube.com/watch?v=-6nJZfrQtbk
Although he wore it once, I would like to see him wear white/grey. They could throw a shoutout to Kyoji Kuzunoha from Devil Summoner since his design is based off of Lupin III.

purple

its confirmed to be red

>CGIshit
Nobody cares. It's for casuals who never kept up with the series so they went with the most iconic color.

but so far it looks good and Lupin need more recognition

Its big in the states, just not with blacks and Mexicans so you don't see people screaming about it in public.

Dumb name, far dumber MC face and hairstyle, and way too westaboo-looking.
I believe you all when you say it's good but I'm never going to get into it because I don't feel like looking at his monkey face long enough. Same reason isekai #9483 with the spiky haired lanky angsty apathy-lite protag gets a pass too, just opposite end of the spectrum.

But I completely agree with you.

>Its big in the states, just not with blacks and Mexicans
so with native american?

His stupid monkey face is one of the best parts, though.

>way too westaboo-looking
You're the worst kind of Yea Forums poster, and most likely under the age of 20.

It's annoying, somehow western-looking stuff drawn by mangaka looks way uglier than western-looking art by itself.
Says the guy spamming cliches. His character design over-relies on exaggeration and caricaturization of Western features as contrasted with familiar Asian features, and the result is an annoying mascot appearance. But then, I imagine you find that's what gives a series its "atmosphere", and not good writing or overall composition and art. You probably think Perfect Blue would have been dumbed down and pedestrian if not for the fetal alcohol syndrome eye placement, too.

yeah, well, you're stupid

just stick with capeshit if you can't appreciate japanese art style

Funny, seemed like a lot of stuff in 80's DuckTales was nabbed from the Italians (the blue coat, the domed bin, the butler) despite their comics never being translated into English before the 90's

Lupin doesn't have enough underaged girls in revealing clothing to be popular with today's people.

you'd have to be as gay as Goemon not to

She was always fully clothed, people only watch anime when the girls are basically nearly nude with those dumb slut outfits.

Goemon is too traditional and will only have sex after marriage.

Lupin actually aired on Adult Swim about 15 years ago

with another man

I thought Lupin and Jigen were the ones gay for each other.

Lupin is pretty clearly attracted to women user. And who could hate women the way Goemon does unless they were gay?

Jigen is the woman hater though, Goemon just spills his spaghetti around them.

Goemon had a model as his gf in one movie.

Loopon hasn't been good for like 30 years. Loopon with modern technology is pure cringe.

Excuse you, it's pronounced "Rupan".

i don't want to be a faggot anymore but i have my hands full on work at the moment
which movies should i watch? or i MUST watch the anime? if so would watching just part IV and V be enough?

More sexy Fujiko is needed.

Attached: f30.jpg (668x480, 46K)

There's nothing to talk about with Lupin, simple as that. You can only talk about how you like the series and one-off comments like that so much. You get a little discussion when a series or film is out but it's pretty basic conversation.

I enjoy Lupin but I have little to discus with anyone about Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko, Zenigata and whoever else and their adventures.

It's kind of similar to Conan, plenty of people enjoy it but no one really discusses current cases or whatever. You see more threads but they are equally as lifeless.

I think this is largely true, but unlike conan there's enough variance between parts and designs to talk about something. The new movies are completely different from the old episodes.

Attached: f6.jpg (397x406, 16K)

Still can't believe this happened

Attached: 9d1d0e9a53f9090a194c291601568fd3.gif (540x304, 484K)

None of it’s really connected or overarching (besides parts IV and V), so you can just watch whatever. Part I is good too. Part II had a lot of episodes, so it’s understandable if you don’t watch it all. I personally don’t care for Part III at all. As for the movies, Cagliostro, Fuma Conspiracy, Secret of Mamo, Alcatraz Connection, and Liberty Crisis are my recommendations.

>you deserve death for ruining this community
it was always shit you faggot

I'm looking for a Lupins ost from one of the movies, there is an alternate version with a kickass flute solo playing the main theme. Do you guys have any ideas?

Attached: 1543085796527.png (247x489, 41K)

Judging by his picks, he's like 25

PKNA is pure kino
>called dad a faggot for not liking it

It wasn't samba temperado fyi

I would start with the 2014 live-action movie. I didn't like it but it's a good introduction to the series.

Then I would watch the series "The Woman Called Fujiko Mine". Unlike most other installments of Lupin, it introduces the characters separately, and how they met to become partners. What's good about watching this early is that it helps you understand Fujiko. She's the most unlikable character in any anime I've ever seen, but this series helps explain why she's such an awful succubus.

Then I would watch the movie "Episode 0 - First Contact". Like Fujiko's series, it isn't episodic. It's about how Jigen first met Lupin. So it serves as a good introduction. Also it's the highest rated Lupin movie on imdb, 7.8/10 stars, even higher than Castle of Cagliostro at 7.7/10 stars.

I finished watching the entire series chronologically a few months ago, around 450 episodes and 50 movies. Watching chronologically is the easiest way to make sure that you've knocked out all of the content, and haven't accidentally skipped anything.

It's so widely accepted that Lupin is good that there's nothing to keep threads alive. Take note of the fact that many of the series most popular on Yea Forums are also extremely divisive.

pretty much this

Don't watch the fujiko series

Cringe

we had a stickey when the author died user

>It's really good.
You just answered your own question.

I watch them completely out of order I don't see what's intimidating about the backlog.

I just watched this yesterday, I wish someone had warned me it's really bad.
No it's RUPAN

>PKNA
First time I see it mentioned here, when I was a kid I absolutely loved it. And I do think it still holds up pretty well as long as we don't talk about the shitty reboot.
Characters like Razziatore (is it even licensed in america?) and Xadhoom were the coolest shit ever.
It was what bridged reading a bunch of Mickey and Donald series to reading manga.

You forgot all the characters are huge assholes for some reason.

I have no idea what cliches you're talking about but there are hundreds of "spiky haired lanky angsty apathy-lite protags" and only one hairy french man. You could at least give that sweet man a chance.
