Good. She was a mistake.
Remember when this manga was good? Ishitgami ruined it. Axed when?
>Red eyed lino
Is this canon?
>Ishigami looking at the other direction instead of her
Ouch
Are Mikofags dumb enough not to understand the implication here?
He's clearly glaring at whoever stuck that note to Iino's back.
The were orange-brown on her cover. I think Aka said he colors based on his emotion as he draws, hence silver/pink Fujiwara.
>Leave ruining this series to us.
>Tsubamecucks trying this hard
You retards are the same faggots that think hayasaka was going to win the prezbowl or that fujiwara was a relevant character.
Stay mad cucks, Iino is taking ishigami with her.
Most recent chapter is easily one lf the best, fite me faggit
Are you seriously this pathetic toubunfag?
Oh great ANOTHER version of the Sharingan.
>I think Aka said he colors based on his emotion as he draws
So red is for love like Kaguya? Even Ishigami gives a Kaichou vibe in that cover.
Is Iino as small as Megumin?
is ishigami a lolicon
When did Ishigami get this faggy haircut?
I suppose we were bound to get a bait OP with this cover. Very cool user, glad you saw an opportunity to preemptively ruin the next thread.
Both of the looks cute in this
Neat. Oh, don't these books usually have weird quotes on the inside? I wonder what this one's will be.
>I got the feeling that Aka has a contrarian streak and likes to start from standard romcom premises just to resolve them somewhat differently
How does that apply to Prez and Kaguya?
>That being said there is plenty of room to do that without Miko/Ishi collapsing either.
I'm pretty sure what we already have isn't quite typical either, and the idea that they secretly like one another has been treated like a stupid joke already, and starting things with the flower has been avoided. I think we need Miko's awareness levels raised
I think Miko might be slightly shorter.
>I think we need Miko's awareness levels raised
before we can tell what direction this bullshit is going to go.
Where are you looking, Ishigami?
Aka likes red eyes. We must accept it at this point
Smug Erika, best Erika
Oh i always like it when those 2 guys are in the 4koma lol
Also cute Karen
That's a lot of foaming at the mouth just to try and justify your case against what he said. He isn't interested in Miko romantically yet, what he said makes perfect sense.
Which VA could be fit her?
Aya Hirano
I want to punch Iino in the face and then kiss her
Nao Toyama.
made for procreation
Ishigami is an awful character. Why anons like him?
That's a 100% valid point, but it's odd. Hasn't Tsubame gotten more focus in that volume than Miko? Why is IshiMiko the relationship that the cover emphasizes?
no no no onoderachads it was our time
Onodera always loses
so, when is volume 16 out?
Miyuki Sawashiro.
Because they're the main characters, and they are going to stick together for a while due to circumstances.
Tsubame is getting way more focus, and she'll show up more, but she won't be glued like Miko having Ishigami helping her out
The day chapter 162 is out.
Like it. lino does seem like the nazi type.
I'm glad we finally agree that Papagane is the best character in the series
Kanahana
I wouldn't say Tsubame got anything more than Miko or Ishigami did during that part of the arc desu.
>How does that apply to Prez and Kaguya?
The whole premise that the story starts with protagonists mostly aware that their are attracted to the other and scheming for a relationship - only in far far later stages delving into insecurities and internal issues - seems like a complete inversion of a by the numbers romcom plot imo.
>I think we need Miko's awareness levels raised
I think the main thing that needs to be developed is a reason for Ishigami to be into Miko, because just standing up for him in some situations while being a pain in the ass in most others doesn't look like a strong basis for attraction.
The dynamic with Tsubame is interesting, because she is the opposite of Miko in many ways. Where Miko with all her nagging was never able to motivate Ishi to improve himself and is yet to have any positive effect on him, Tsubame did it with no effort at all save for being generally supportive as a club senior.
garbage
Looks amber to me.
Of course. Because it's obvious that he...
Ok, jesus
Practically spelling it out for you
So Miko wins by being Ishigami's second choice? How are waifufags ok with this?
Do we know the quote yet?
Aren't those supposed to be on physical volume
I always thought it was weird that Ishigami got into this romantic lock with Tsubame
It always seemed to me he had more potential chemistry with Miko, and that he would be the one to first start falling for her since they are so similar
Though i guess he would look for someone who's very much different from him
I don't mind Tsubame at all, really, but the two of them togheter feels weird to me, like they don't belong.
Hell, he and F would have made a better couple too.
I don't know why i can't like the idea of Tsubame being endgame
Without going full Mikofagging, anyone else feel the same or can explain why?
>he and F
Not an waifufag. But it's pretty obvious Ishigami feels nothing for her like that yet. If they end up together, it's gonna develop in a way that makes him fall for her instead, but so far that's unlikely, since he's aiming for Tsubame entirely.
>he and F would have made a better couple too
I'm still thinking this was the plan around the time he first appeared. Then Aka decided to fatten up the story and the cast.
I wouldn't say he feels "nothing" for her, but probably nothing straight-forewardly romantic
The most we got was him getting way too annoyed at the guy from the cheer team hitting on her and admitting he found her perfume to be good on her
Admittedly there are reasons to believe he'd eventually fall for her, but we just don't know where this is supposed to go
Imagine being Ishigami in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Miko Iino, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your tight body and horrific androgynous monster face. I would totally have sex with you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is to fap to another waifu in his bedroom. Like seriously imagine having to be Ishigami and not only lie there while Miko Iino flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her stretchmarks and leathery skin, and just sit there, take after take, hour after hour, while she perfected that fall. Not only having to tolerate her monstrous fucking visage but her haughty attitude as everyone on set tells her she's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, MIKO IINO LOOKS LIKE *THAT*?? because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch her mannish fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fapping to nothing but a healthy diet of 2d and classmates and later alleged stalking victims for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in middle school. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her dimpled stomach as she sucks it in to writhe it suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to sit there and revel in her "statuesque (for that is what she calls herself)" beauty, the beauty she worked so hard for with personal trainers in the previous months. And then the director calls for another take, and you know you could kill every single person in this room before the studio security could put you down, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Ishigami. You're not going to lose your future treasurer career over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.
He cares way too much about Miko to feel nothing toward her.
nice pasta
>seems like a complete inversion of a by the numbers romcom plot imo.
So, you're saying that it didn't start from a standard romcom premise at all?
>I think the main thing that needs to be developed is a reason for Ishigami to be into Miko, because just standing up for him in some situations while being a pain in the ass in most others doesn't look like a strong basis for attraction.
That's what I said. How Miko acts from here on out is deeply important.
>with no effort at all save for being generally supportive
That's rather reflective of the root of Ishigami and Miko's main issue. They refuse to be generally supportive, because supporting someone in the open is somehow wrong. We can see just how positively Miko reacts when Ishigami actually shows support instead of giving her unsolicited criticism.
Of course, the "fate" and premise that Aka set up for them is that they're going to be on bad terms like this forever right up until they graduate, as Ishigami said. Osaragi has emphasized how they don't actually have a bond, and the idea that they secretly like one another was used as a joke to get them to play nice.
It's pretty obvious that the change is going to have to come from Miko. Ishigami's resigned to things being as they are, while Miko wants to change things.
More specifically he clearly cares for her but nothing romantic currently.
You can care about a person without liking her romantically.
Ishigami also said he would punch the guy if he is not good enough for Kaguya.
IshiMiko are the obvious overdone'd pairing.
You watched too much generic romcom and your brain just assume they will end up together.
Luckily Kaguya isn't like that.
Like a sister
Then what's Ishi's endgame? F?
You're probably thinking of the "comedy" part of the romcom, and how Tsubame would offer pretty much nothing gagwise after graduating (and essentially being written out of the story), other than "Ishigami brags about his college girlfriend, Miko gets butthurt". But then again, Aka might just be able to make it work.
I get what you mean, at this stage both options look incomplete.
Tsubame has nothing else going for her other than being nice to Ishi and kind of believing that he is not garbage, and, as exemplified by his affinity to both Shirogane and now Kaguya, he is really desperate for that sort of thing. Nothing noteworthy when you think about it.
Miko on the other hand, with a few exceptions, has been nothing but shitty to Ishigami, whereas he has shown concern and kindness to her at every opportunity without any hints of romantic interest.
So Tsubame route is shallow and Miko route is undeveloped.
I think this page is a representation of that cover
while he is trying to "protect" Miko, he is distracted with Tsubame
if you read this volume, you will understand this
but since Yea Forums loves stupid waifuwar too much, I think it is understandable
>Tsubame has nothing else going for her
This statement stop being true long time ago
Imagine if nisekoi was this good.
holy based
>Miko on the other hand, with a few exceptions, has been nothing but shitty to Ishigami, whereas he has shown concern and kindness to her at every opportunity without any hints of romantic interest.
Those were not exceptions but her genuinely trying to get along as time went on. But Ishigami words his concerns in a rather condescending way, yet refuses to do something about his own flaws.
Miko is trying to change, with her getting out of her confort zone by making new friends, going to social outings and trying to make peace with Ishigami. It's him the one who has issues with improving himself, despite him being the one who's supposedly in love. So far he had to be dragged by Kaguya every step of the way.
Waifufags are blind to the fact she is given way more work with story wise, and in terms of future development.
>first reply
Based
Was this a simultaneous confession?
>every step of the way
Except the last one.
And for chirstmas she was the one who called and just gave him advice for a present.
> It's him the one who has issues with improving himself, despite him being the one who's supposedly in love
Yeah, like the two actual main characters of the manga.
Both balloons come from Kaguya according to some JP anons. The manner of speech is her's, and he's the one who responds next page.
Mizusawa Kei
IF I SAID IT ONCE, I'VE SAID IT A THOUSAND TIMES
LINO
RUINED
THE
SERIES
Nope, just Kaguya, she wanted to confess and she did, for once.
I actually felt the Shoujo chapters were pretty telling in this regard, despite their being a key mistranslation. He almost completely dismisses Miko as an option, deeming her unrealistic because he's incurred her enmity, but he leaves it as "not no". His rationale points to her willingness as the issue. Yet he panics when Fujiwara is brought up as a choice, because he can see it happening. Hell, he was even trying to hit on Kaguya.
This marks Miko as the girl Ishigami thinks would be the hardest to get, to the point where it's hardly worth thinking about.
Disappointing. We still don't have a single explict declaration of love from shirogane. what a fucking pussy!
Big O
Aside from chapter 152 you mean?
no shit sherlock
Sure, but by that point he didn't have his sights set on someone else, so circumstances changed. The only way he'll consider otherwise is if things don't work out for Tsubame, or Miko goes full retard and ends up letting him know how she feels about him (after she figures that out herself), and makes him feel conflicted, since he would imagine she'd feel hurt.
We'll just have to wait and see. Osaragi saw the situation and she knows it's gonna be messy if Miko goes for it at this time. It's just asking for trouble.
Nigger, stop speedreading.
You faggots need to remember this is a freaking flashback. He literally said I love you to her already.
i don't really read much romcoms, but i can't see how Miko is more overdone than Tsubame
Probably this
Though more than just comedy, it's the interactions that i can't see changing much
i don't know
name a better lovestory
>but i can't see how Miko is more overdone than Tsubame
When was the last time you saw a "nice older girl" win over the tsundere cunt who realizes her feelings, really?
It's not like she has to offer much. The main cast is the main source of comedy, his love life on the other hand doesn't need to fall on the comedy routine.
It really shouldn't be just "Please go out with me", it's explicitly different from what she tried to go with at the festival
It should be
>please be my boyfriend
But the kr translations are always sloppy as fuck.
Why
>or Miko goes full retard and ends up letting him know how she feels about him
Well, obviously. My point was that even if a plot like "Ishigami had feelings for Miko all along" was in effect, Ishigami would never act on them because he's already told us what he thinks of the romantic potential there. It's unrealistic because Miko hates him.
Which means that Miko's only chance is in going full retard and making it clear that she doesn't, because Ishigami isn't going to spontaneously make a move on her.
When you put it like that, i understand what you mean
but a tsundere realizing her own feelings is more used because it's part of character developement
Really, all this debate is because of meta knowledge.
It's like the author is doing his best to make us believe that Miko is endgame while at the same time making it seem borderline impossible.
It's probably why it feels wrong, it's like cognitive dissonance.
Memes.
What a fucking chad
Holy shit how you managed to grasp the EXACT opposite of what is happening is beyond me.
>Miko is trying to change
Ishigami is the one who went out of his comfort zone by joining the cheering club.
Miko didn't ZERO thing except having Onodera approach and babysit her.
>It's him the one who has issues with improving himself
Ishigami actively tried to improve himself,
and we saw how much stronger he has became seeing how he managed to recover from what happened with Tsubame on Christmas eve.
Meanwhile Miko barely improve or realize the problem with her altitude and act like a total cunt towards him 90% of the time minus the one instance you mentioned.
She just wanted Ishigami to treat her like a princess and hated it when he is being straightforward.
Getting a reality check by getting rejected is literally the best possible development for her.
Miko did ZERO thing*
>is more used because it's part of character developement
Yeah, for the main heroine, because japs have a hardon for shit tsunderes while shafting every other archetype, most commonly the nice girls and the onee-sans.
The only things that were ruined are the threads, and it's because of faggots like you. Fuck off.
Well tsunderes are literally the most easiest and effortless archetype to write.
You just need to make them act as bitchy as possible,
then suddenly do a 180 deredere and readers will eat this shit up.
It is much harder to make the other archetype create entertaining situation.
And we have to thank Takahashi and Akamatsu for them.
I think that other user is downplaying how much Ishigami is doing to change but you're kinda doing the same thing in the other direction. Regardless of whether her efforts are successful or not(they haven't) fact is she is starting the process of trying.
Miko is not a bad charachter though
Unlike the usual archetype, she is quite understandable
Oh user..why would you phrase it like that...
>she is quite understandable
Because she's a sheltered, naive retard whose hobby is to annoy the shit out of people because she has zero self awareness?
Will we ever have an implied sex scene of Kaguya and Prez? I mean something like Kare Kano.
>implied
Reminder that Kaguya-sama is a seinen manga.
The reason tsunderes are used is because they leave a ton of room for development or lack of development. There are similar forms, like Kaguya who literally went to the fucking doctor because she wasn't willing to admit the obvious. Being that sort of character allowed her to go through several different development phases stretched over a long period of time.
Being a shitty tsundere is itself an obstacle. She needs to go through phases of realizing her feelings and correcting her behavior, and even that isn't likely to be enough.
>It's like the author is doing his best to make us believe that Miko is endgame while at the same time making it seem borderline impossible.
It's almost like an impossible challenge.
The difference with Kaguya is that she's suffered a ton by being such a retarded tsundere.
Aka actively punishes them to the point he created a fucking Kaguya: bad end version. With him it's either be honest or go home.
They're isn't much to develop when a character already starts out as nice and when that's all there is to them
The same goes for Miko. Her arm wouldn't even be broken if she weren't a retarded tsundere.
Like the user above said, all the other tsunderes are shit on and punished for their stupidity. Miko suffered in middle school for her behavior, but it wasn't enough to change her at all, and even after all the shit she went though, it mostly doesn't correlate back to the fact that she's tsundere, aside from a few cases, so it doesn't feel as satisfying.
She shouldn't get as much of a free pass even though she's as abrasive as the other girls at their worst.
You mean the arm she broke by saving her not-crush? That's completely different.
w-wait what did i do wrong
i wouldn't really put it like that
She basicall never sees her parents, so she's emotionally stunted
She still loves and idolizes them, and since they're prosecutors (If i remember correctly) she has a fixation on justice
these two things fuse badly, making her think justice = laws
Because of that she tries to make people behave according to the rules, even when it's unnecessary, and so she was mostly alone, bar Osaragi
Because of that she is also obsessed with love, and because she is childish and stubbornly idealistic, in her mind a perfect man is the only possible person that can be with her
She was a bitch to Ishigami because he basically didn't care for rules at all, but being close to him made her realize he's more than just that. She starts developing feelings, and is confused by the fact that she's in love with the opposite of what she wanted in a man.
It's all really simple, but it's done well
He made her look too tall.
That's true for everyone desu, Miko's inability to get over her shitty tsundere qualities and be honest made her cause a situation that ended up breaking her own arm. Dishonesty is borderline a deathflag in this manga.
Probably nothing explicit but I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually get to a moment where we KNOW they had sex.
>Kaguya: bad end version
Maki?
But this is the first time she's been in love
She wasn't a Tsundere in middle-school, just an overzealous justicefag/lawfag
>It's all really simple, but it's done well
I don't really agree, mostly because it's so fucking generic and we go back to how overdone it is in romcoms.
If she wasn't a retarded tsundere, she wouldn't need to save him. Which, if you notice, she denies having saved him because she could have stopped it earlier.
Ai Kayano
This.
Why do you choose to go back and forth on this time and time again? It's not like we haven't had this talk before, it's not gonna change anything.
Define free pass, until recently most of her behavior was basically hardless, But getting bullied and isolated by most of her peers doesn't feel like she gets away with how she acts.
Blame the readers for having short term memory and can't appreciate a character as a whole.
With a nice girl character the only direction you can go is to show her flaw and making them more human,
with tsudere just simply making them stop acting like a bitch and people will start calling them best girls.
It mess with their perception of the characters and make it seems like the nice girl is getting worse and latter is getting better.
Blame the OP for baiting, I'd rather talk about the chapter but that's not gonna happen in this thread.
Miko accepting to go to the party with the 3rd years was her own way of stepping out of her comfort zone. She hasn't been actively trying before this because changing herself meant abandoning her resolve and her morals which she still believes to be just. She's never had someone in her life to try to change herself for before
How will Fujiwara actually react to finding out Kaguya and Prez are a couple?
Wait for the scans of Kaguya's sweetest and most heartwarming chapter then? Until that time, pointless back and forth.
Good thing I'm just watching an IB stream.
> eh? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?!
Mindbreak. She already said how she hates being left out when it comes to love talk. And this two of her best friends keeping their relationship secret from her.
Aah, I knew that already.
Have you fucked or something?
And all she did during the party is being a mood killer, annoyed Tsubame and bitching about Ishigami not paying attention to her.
Idk if I'd say she'd be mad but I think maybe she might be resentful that her two closest friends never talked to her about something this special.
user again, no one is saying she was successful, just that there was an attempt.
What do you guys think the next volume cover will be?
Feels like it's gonna be a Hayasaka Fujiwara one since neither have had one in a while and the past few have been covers with all the main cast paired up(15 aside).
>Aka likes red
It's in his name.
I-is he undressing h-her? The audacity!
A boy falls in love with a girl
Remember when this series was about prez and kaguya having an intellectual dick-measuring contest and ishi being a sperg? Good Times
Good shit, especially considering most of the volume is made up of their combined chapters during the party.
They wanted to fuck too much and dropped the act.
Realistic enough.
I will believe Tsubame is the winner when she and ishigami are both featured on the same cover
>remember when there was no progress
>good times
spine problems
How was she being a mood killer ? Nobody minded her attitude and she didn't criticize the party at all. I don't think she ruined anyone's party by getting drunk either. She embarassed herself but that's it.
>remember when there was no progress
But there was fun.
> progress
no progress is better than the shit we're getting now, have your standards fallen that low?
People just want any excuse to hate Miko
Literally everybody else should be going "IT'S ABOUT TIME" while she's left like this again.
Go read Takagi-san instead if you want samey stuff for all eternity.
Otters are so adorable.
>anime marathon in NND
>cover with Miko and Ishigami
>some event after Live Action release
>a potential second season will be filled with Miko and Ishigami
I believe!
Chi is living proof that no matter what happens, Nishikata marries Takagi.
> I WANT AKA TO SHIT IN MY MOUTH I LOVE HIS SHIT WRITING
go jump off a cliff
But a potential s2 would have a ton of prez, Kaguya and prez interacting with Iino before her character got boring as shit after the elections.
Hocchan
No, everything in that chapter had already been throughout the manga. The only good thing about it was papagane.
Such incredily bad taste. It would have become boring as fuck and everybody would have dropped it by now.
If anything, complaining about having progress is an exact opposite of otter.
>I'M SAYING IT IS SO IT MUST BE TRUE! I'M THE LITERAL GOD OF THE UNIVERSE! MY WORD IS LAW!
Go commit jump off a bridge.
>no progress is better than any progress, so i can shitpost freely.
Yea Forums is a disgusting shithole
Yeah but the distinct two character arcs are Miko and Ishigami focused, and if the anime is 12 episodes long it will adapt stuff until the sports festival.
Really? I thought being an otter meant simply reading a manga despite claiming to hate it.
That's literally what it is. The otterfags just claimed a meme and started using it in a stupid manner to be annoying.
I see.
> I'm the literal god of the universe
are you implying I'm not?
Why is he holding her uniform ?
That was subject F
He's trying to hold back her monstrous appetite.
This is always the cost of having active threads unfortunately.
Nah people hate Fujiwara because of her popularity in the anime. Those aren't memes.
But she's not wearing it here and she doesn't even have her arm broken in the cover.
The uniform has pieces that come undone. I think he was fixing it and putting it back, to show that he's helping her out.
Does the true Best Girl deserve love?
It was goddamn obvious that the cover was about both of them.
Iino is lowering one of her eyebrows because Ishigami is distracted by somwbody else (Tsubame).
Also, what's the phrase in this volume?
Is she stacked or flat?
We'll only know that when the volume actually comes out on the 19th.
new 1-st volume cover really is much better for Kaguya
He just likes touching her. Didn't one of the IshiMiko Nips draw him helping her change? Aka might be referencing that, implying it actually happens
This chapter just talked about how Tsubame is fighting against fate (the obvious Miko set-ups)
Goddammit not this shit again
Isn't she supposed to the impossible swallow Ishigami fails to get though?
The phrases are from the inside cover, so we don't know yet.
That's not what the chapter said at all. If anything it said that there is no such thing as fate in love.
if anything, it's the opposite, since Miko right now has almost no chance of winning at all
What are the chances Ishi is looking over at the volume 17 cover, which features him and Tsubame as a parallel?
I try to stay neutral between the miko and tsubamefags when you guys say shit like this sometimes.
But wasn't it Maki's fate to always lose to Kashiwagi considering Tsubasa preferred the latter before Karen and Prez?
sounds kino enough to be Aka
He literally said fated love doesn't exist at the end. The whole poin is that you gotta put in the effort to make it work, instead of waiting for it to come to you.
Way to miss the mark.
Wow I mangled this *it's hard to try and stay neutral
Think it's too soon for Tsubame to have another cover.
One moment you said Tsubame has no chance,.the next moment you said Miko is impossible to win.
You faggots need to stop changing your stance in favor of the argument
You have to put in the effort and keep thinking, specifically. So you shouldn't just let it happen either, I'd say.
If we're going with parallels to that story, then yes. Miko and Ishigami's parallels would also have absolutely nothing to do with one another. I'm not sure how they qualify as a fated couple, aside from meta reasons.
I know this may be shocking but you may be arguing with more than one person here.
your tears will be so delicious, it's going to be Chihiro level.
Under that logic, Shirogane was never supposed to win Kaguya either. He's one of the people who fails in the story.
It's loosely based, and the characters break away from what happens in it.
>Shirogane gives up on getting the Jewel turns into Shirogane wins and gives her the jewel
>Kaguya is cold turns into Kaguya grows from it and learns to decide for herself what she wants
>Fujiwara cheats turns into ???
>Miko is obsessive turns into ???
>Ishigami falls and dies failing to get the swallow, turns into Ishigami persists to get the swallow after his first fall
And so on.
It's not a different stance. It's in-universe vs meta. In-universe, Miko is very far from Ishigami's fated partner. Their 'fate' is to remain on bad terms until they graduate, with things never changing. The same stupid arguments repeated until they never see each other again. In that same frame, Miko has no fucking chance at all with Ishigami. He likes another girl. The only 'fate' token is a heart keychain that wasn't even actually given to her, and that's set against a giant heart cookie.
Meta-wise, Miko's probably going to win.
Lino should be treated like she deserves.
>Falling for her abuser
She really is a shoujo heroine
Fate doesn't exist.
That's part of the meta in favor of Miko.
OH NOOOO B-BROS.....
Why do women like being treated like shit? I've seen this many times, how they end up with someone who bullies and teases them all the time, and not in playful ways.
>people taking Papa Shirogane's 'advice' at face value
This is the same guy that's still pinning for his wife who's cucking him
>everyone who disagrees with me is one person
Are you for real? That seems downright delusional since the entire point is that striving for love and making sure it can work is the way to win here. Miko has no made a step forward already.
if you mean that she'll learn to not be complacent then yeah, but I don't see what the fuck this has to do with her when the entire focus is on Tsubame, with one single panel showing that Ishigami took notice of Kaguya and Shirogane running, and some anons adding the text flavor in that page to what is going on (which apparently the Koreans got wrong in the first place based on the raws).
Okay this is based
Of cause we are talking about meta-wise here.
In universe Ishigami is fated to die alone.
Meta-wise Miko literally has the author (fate) helping her and created a situation where she and Ishigami are glued together,
and Ishigami is destined to fail to retrieve the shallow.
Ishigami Iino
I don't think this was posted yet so, here:
mega.nz
it's the digital raws for the chapter. Someone posted the 4-koma already above.
is BASED kaguya BTFO
For a straight woman who's been raised under traditional values, if your options are either being with a dick or being with a pussy, 9 times out of 10 they'll choose the former. A woman will forgive you for being aggressive at times because that fits with the traditional male gender role. They'll never forgive you for being a wimp
She's around Kashiwagi's level. No titty monster like Fuji, but bigger than 60% of the girls in the manga.
Will he ever get a solo cover
When did domestic violence become a traditional values?
Since the beginning of human civilization.
Think Aka said something about not being able to do solo male covers and that it was a fight to get the Shirogane/Ishigami one to begin with.
So the LA is premiering tomorrow
S2 announcement after?
I thought it was on the 6th.
Is it safe to say this is going the way of Soma?
>TFW want to show the cool boys on the cover
>Editor and magazine probably tell him he has to pick cute girls instead
What a fresh hell.
Aka once said he had to fight to get Prez on the V5 cover and even then he still couldn't get him alone
Yes, it's the 5th were i am
>Aka turned Tsubame from a character that was just there into an actually interesting character in just a few chapters
>Miko has been around for a long time and the only time I actually liked her and thought she was interesting was election arc
God damn it Aka, reminds me of Mahouka and the author refusing to give Miyuki some development.
She's average but her body size makes it seem bigger
Are you from the future?
>Miko has no made a step forward already.
The bitch hasn't even realized she likes Ishigami yet, so it's too early to judge. And I never said the passage had anything to do with Miko, but that it's not inherently positive for Tsubame. Miko doesn't have 'fate' on her side.
If you consider 'fate' through a meta lens you end up in a recursive loop where one is fated to be together because one isn't fated to be together because they're fated to be together. That just gets retarded.
Kaguya and Prez were always going to get together from the meta perspective, and people assumed they were dating from the start, but in-universe they both had to change themselves and work super hard to make it happen. They didn't just gravitate together and neither of them just went with the flow. No one lucked into anything.
actual progression "ruined" the manga, you status quo fag
Too cliche
Dropped
>missed the chapter translation thread
fuck
I know it's probably for nothing, but can you at least tell what exactly was ruined? Fag.
And the hardworking poorfag getting the rich girl in a giant mansion isn't? Where did this meme that Aka is some subvert expectations Rian Johnson kind of nigga come from? The plot of this manga has always been cliche and there's nothing wrong with it since its well executed.
APOLOGIZE TO TSUBAME. NOW
Is there a compilation of hints for Miko and ishigami?
He said it was fight to get Shirogane on the Volume 5 cover, and even then he still had to share it with Kaguya
Don't know about the ShiroIshi cover, perhaps by that point he was big enough to do whatever he wanted with the covers
I wouldn't call his writing subversive, but rather unpredictable. Aka does his own thing, and it shows. There are countless instances of this manga taking interesting turns that strongly divert from the way typical romcoms play out. It's also the reason it's become so successful.
This "Subverting expectation" meme has to stop
I'll quote an user's post in a past thread that made me laugh
>"Oonodera being revealed to be Shirogane's dad in disguise would also subvert my expectation, doesn't mean it'd be good"
> There are countless instances of this manga taking interesting turns that strongly divert from the way typical romcoms play out.
Name 1
Where's the updated Power Rankings?
pretty sure its been success due to its early success with it's comedy and people are just sticking with it just to see the end.
*Shirogane's mom
fuck, i butchered it
Ah yeah that was it, though I'd assume that would also apply to the other one as well. Hopefully we get more boys soon.
>160 chapters
>expectations still haven't been subverted
Bravo, Aka. Bravo.
Why would I? Bitch is a high maintenance woman with a compulsive shopping disorder and a fear of commitment.
The expectation he subverted was your expectation of something being subverted. Truly kino.
Define "hints".
>a high maintenance woman
just like all woman.
Why do I even need to? Look back at threads since the day the manga switched magazines. People who called this manga predictable have literally never made an accurate prediction about absolutely fucking anything in this manga other than Kaguya and Prez getting together at some point.
No predicted that this would even have "arcs" before the Fireworks happened, to name you one instance out of the hundreds.
Onodera is the only non-high maintenance girl in this manga.
best cover
Im waiting.
Kaguya french kissing Prez.
Aka's fault. He is incompetent and has proven he doesn't know how to handle "development" and an interesting/fun story at the same time.
The last 30 chapters could have been an amazing ride if it was handled by another author
Saw it cooming a 10 mile of dick away. Next.
Based based nngh so fucking based
>Aya Hirano
Cheeky cunt.
bros 4 lyfe
>Name 1
>done
>Name another one
No, you fucker.
I won this debate.
this feels like a scam. if I kill myself I won't get to use the money.
The only thing in the way is her trust issues, otherwise she's not more high maintenance than any of the other girls in the story.
Miko husbands her allowance
>Saw it coming from a mile away
>Dude trust me
Considering the sales keep increasing with every new volume, you're factually wrong. Kaguya didn't sell that much when it was pure comedy.
Speak for yourself. The manga has been consistently good so far.
I don't get how you people ignore everyone who praises the development to this day and just focus on the same two or three shitposters and claim the manga has jumped the shark.
>The last 30 chapters could have been an amazing ride if it was handled by another author
If it had been any other author, this would have gotten the axe 100 chapters ago because they would have run out of ideas after not having the balls to change the formula.
>factually wrong.
see naruto.
They aren't really hints. They're pretty obvious. The flower is linked to chapters in Ishigami's arc, even when it's not in them or he's not in them. She pushed for him to be allowed to graduate. Miko looks gloomy when she learns he asked out Tsubame. She's too embarrassed to compliment his cooking because she thinks he'll smug at her. She wanted to cheer him on at the sports festival. She's put too much focus on a heart chain she knows means nothing, and generally been acting like she has a crush and is jealous of Tsubame.
On Ishigami's side, there's a lot less. He once said he wasn't opposed to the idea of dating her but didn't consider her a realistic option because she hates him. He's supported her in secret for some time. He gets irritated when other dudes flirt with her and thought her perfume smelled nice.
Anything I missed?
Oh, damn, you're right
My bad
Oh yeah. And there was this.
I mean yeah tsubame is over but isn't the implication now that those two will fall in love and then fall out of love?
>This would have been fine it was for X
>No I shall not provide a reason
>This whole development is shit, I want comedy and stalemate back
>No I won't tell you why it's shit
What the fuck are you doing?
How big are Aka’s ballz?
Why do they call this a romcom when it has neither romance nor comedy?
Wanna mention, the two week time jump really shocked me
But it was actually really nice to have confirmation that everything went well between Prez and Kaguya first after the Ice arc
I think the implication is that it's fine if they do or don't do either of those, but there's no necessity to it.
I believe the way she phrases is similar to how Hayasaka told her to do, but it's not the same. It's more "proper" or at least worded different by her.
>I love you. Please become lovers with me
Or something like that based on the raws.
exactly
Miko eats a lot. Miko farts a lot.
maybe kaguya was shit from the beginning
>No comedy
Very subjective. Granted, it's been a while since the last chapter purely focused on comedy.
>No romance
Ask me how I know you haven't even bothered to read the manga.
>Tsubame is over
>Given focus on her worries and doubts
>Made up with Ishigami already, and his intent made clear with a positive reaction from her
>Big focus for most the of the current volume
How the fuck is she over? Even Kashiwagi who was more like a recurring gag became more and more prominent as the story went along.
And that's a good thing!
You just can't make it right for everybody. Imagine if this was the timeline where Kaguya remained a formulaic gag manga. People here coming from 5Toubun would complain about how boring it is, how it lacks progression etc.. Hell, I'd be surprised if it even managed to make it this far. It wouldn't have, but let's just arrogantly claim that Aka has done everything wrong.
You would need to actually read the manga to know, shitposter-kun.
For a recent example everyone and their grandma predicted that Miko was gonna get picked up by some hentai chads at the party and Ishigami was gonna have to save her then we got this
No, if t remained the formula, it wouldn’t even have thread like this. Boring manga attracts no discussion.
What is she up to?
Remember when this manga was good?
Tsubame has ranked up from plot device to plausible love interest, but still her chances with Ishigami are really bad.
You can just look at Takagi-san threads to see the high ammounts of people complaining about how literally nothing changes and it's repetitive to see how it would be if he stuck to purely comedy formula.
Even Komi-san threads are in this state currently.
Lino is getting redpilled!
I literally wasn't talking about who is going to win. I was talking about her character growing through the course of the story. Also of course it looks bad if we go by tropes, but Aka has pulled the rug under us a few times, so who knows.
Miko could "lose", and win later, or she'll win and stay that way, there's many things that could happen.
Aka is a fucking hack, Look at last chapter he can't write his characters actually talking to one and other he needs to kneecap his confession scene by having a random side character narrate over it with inane bullshit that doesn't make any sense I can't believe this manga took such a nosedive in quality.
Remember when Kaguya threads weren't a cancerous general with cyclical memes like this? No, of course you don't cause you're a post anime bandwagon shitposter
Fujiwara's chapter was three chapters ago and was purely comedic. And the chapters after that were mostly comedic but with some development. And since the Iceguya arc, only 155 and 156 were serious and they still had some jokes. People who say the comedy has disappeared are either not reading or are completely retarded
There's no need to even imagine it. That cowboy manga Evans had exactly the same structure as early Kaguya, and the last time I saw a thread about it it barely reached 50 replies. People get tired fast of repetitive plots, and Kaguya would have been no exception.
Hell I'm getting tired ot 5toubun already, seeing it's been 100 chapters and they're no closer to reach an endgame. Waifus can only keep the interest for so long.
Throw Senryuu Shoujo into this pile too(I wish it was good so bad bros), if they weren't complaining about one thing it would be something else. That is simply the nature of 4channel
The way I see it, Ishigami has survived the fall and hasn't given up on attaining the Swallow's Cowry yet. On that front, he's doing just fine even if he lucked into a lot like a doofus. However, I feel he's not fully considered the other side to things.
This conversation suggests that if Tsubame just lets things happen and goes with the flow, and dates Ishigami without putting in the proper consideration or effort of her own, it's probably going to turn out poorly. She's going to have to work out her own thoughts, and that could go either way.
Back when people used Subverts Expectations© unironically what they were really trying to articulate was that they expected it to go to shit like the vast majority of romcoms, which have terrible character writing and little to no development
>which have terrible character writing and little to no development
So Kaguya sama?
Deep discussions there.
The official doujin?
>Throw Senryuu Shoujo into this pile too(I wish it was good so bad bros)
Oh no, did it become outright bad or just stale?
>Worst girl
>This ship nobody cares
Unfortunately for us this author pushing it
like never
>I want my characters to stay static and not develop at all
This might be the wrong series for you, bro. Maybe try Nisekoi or We Never Learn.
But that's clearly Miko and not Tsubame in the cover?
Doesn't We Never Learn at least have some big arcs for the girls? I heard the Sensei and/or Fumino arcs were actually good
I've been wondering for a while, how rich has this manga made Aka? The manga must have sold around 8 million volumes by now, not to mention what the franchise as a whole must be raking in.
You can tell that Kaguya is still good just from the fact that there is still proper discussion about what is gonna happen despite all the shitposting, go to another romcom thread and it is endless waifuposting without any talk about what actually happens in the chapters. You guys need to start ignoring shitposters.
Mikoshitposters should've been banned a long time ago though
I just don't like the direction the series has taken post-confession and I think the development could've been better.
kinda but their not that big of a deal
It really says something about the quality when shitposters have been practically begging for people to hate the series ever since the anime
Wrong
What would you have preferred?
>I just don't like the direction the series has taken post-confession
I think that the problem is smaller than people say it is, it is just some of the drama, there wasn't any proper break with Ishigami's shit, Ice arc is weird too, the idea is good but the timing was fucking terrible, if that arc had happened before the confession it would be way better, the reason people got so butthurt was because it was right after.
Stale, I'm a little harsher with Senryuu Shoujo than Komi even if they are basically the same manga because the latter isn't really a romcom but they both just feel crippled by how little actual progression there is. Kaguya even at the worst of it's stalling(thinking of the locked in the shed chapter) wasn't constantly faking the reader out. When there's buildup for something, things actually happen, not just returning to status quo.
I don't know I'm not a writer
Eh, Fumino ended in nothing and sensei arc was more focused on Yuiga discovering his calling. As many faults Bokuben may have, it's doing a somewhat decent job in developing the MC.
>if that arc had happened before the confession it would be way better
The main reason Kaguya went as crazy as she did was cause she got cold feet at essentially the finish line, I think if you want to change that it's not just an issue of "moving" the arc anymore
>shed chapter
I wouldn't call that one stalling because it led to some development (Miko wanting to quit the student council, Kaguya getting awkward around Shirogane, her meeting the doctor and getting her routine)
I know this is a shitpost but for anyone who might believe it, the development in Kaguya is miles above other series, where the main girl's feelings for the mc would've been left at "he's nice" and that's that. Aka spent over 100 chapters affirming how and why she feel she way does
Not that user but the problem was that we went from one big arc to the next without any cooldown time. From the school festival to the Iceguya arc and then, without giving any time to rest, Aka hits hard with the Tsubame affair. We were used to have a whole volume of Aka doing the mangaka equivalent of shitposting before going further.
I like the development, but Aka wanting to pack everything on Christmas Eve kinda tired me out.
I'll be the devil's advocate and say I completely understand calling at least the first few chapters of the Ice arc bad. I think when it comes to drama Aka has a great idea of where he wants to go with it(the park, Shirogane's room, the hospital chapters) that he slacks on the setup.
Ishigami's shit is just whatever to me, didn't really like any of the chapters besides 153 and 158 and I think 156 is pretty bad but it also wasn't that offensive to read outside of how bad the threads were. So yeah I'll agree that certain people make some of these problems bigger than they are even if I agree with some of their complaints.
That page was so fucking ib, and it got even more significant after the Ice arc, I love it so much
Ater this volume, I hope we get plenty of silly student council hijinks for a while before the next big arc. I enjoyed the recent development a lot but I agree that the manga needs a break. It doesn't mean there shouldn't be any development in that period, especially for Miko because she has a lot of growth to do, but I don't think anybody would complain if nothing important happens in the next volume.
Chapter 152. Also the implicit confession with the balloons and the various bold statements he made before that. However, since Shirogane did consider postponing his official confession after Kaguya agreed to go to America with him, he’s definitely still the more cowardly of the two. Kaguya’s biggest obstacle was admitting her feelings to herself, since she’s the more fucking crazy of the two.
I can't believe Aka just ruined the legacy of this manga with the last chapter, Look at the previous volumes with just one chapter he ruined the readability of all other chapters I'm so fucking angry.
Did you read the wrong manga ? Last chapter was great.
I just mean stalling as in it was setting up them kissing which was a fakeout, Kaguya doesn't have very many examples of overt stalling like that one Nisekoi panel people always shitpost about, but my point was I don't mind a romance being a slow burn as long it's not constantly pretending they'll get together before they actually do. It should never get to the point where you start thinking "The only reason these characters arent together is because the writer doesn't know how to write them as a couple" which is a big reason why Senryuu Shoujo is getting really stale for me.
>I completely understand calling at least the first few chapters of the Ice arc bad.
Oh don't get me wrong I like the Ice arc, but I feel this way too, I should've worded that better but what I mean is that I think those chapters only pissed people off that much because they were right after the confession.
I do think that Aka lacked awareness as a writer, I mean come on, right after that amazing moment from Shirogane you write an arc where Kaguya starts shitting on him? I have no idea what went through his head to think that it was a good time for that arc.
Can't wait to see the council room shenanigans now that they're dating
The worse thing about Senryuu Shoujo is that the author doesn't need to change a single thing to write them as a couple. Nobody would mind if they properly dated but the rest was more of the same, which is why it's getting frustrating.
Was going to mention 5Toubun instead, but then I'd just be wrong. Say what you want about it, but the characters do grow somewhat.
As for WNL, I agree, the character arcs were good, but I would still say that it's hard to see their growth in those arcs actually show up in the following chapters. Like for example, Asumi had some growth in her arc, but is back to being just the "teasing senpai".
That manga revels in the status quo, though I think Rizu is actually having some noticeable change as of late. It's still better than Nisekoi where the biggest growth in character came from a freaking side character.
What I don't understand is why the fuck they're hiding it? Half of the school, probably more thanks to Karen shipping them loudly, already think they're dating.
In the worst case scenario that Fujiwara notices, assuming she hasn't already figured it out, what's the worst that could happen?
You know, looking back, Iceguya is probably probably the most well foreshadowed arc of the entire series
There's a big difference between rumors and actual confirmation, and if Aka wants to go for more drama then Ganan finding out is a big deal.
In retrospect, Aka's entire plan was to build up the kiss to be the best thing ever and then more or less shit on it in the next arc to properly deliver his message. The very purpose of the arc is almost designed to be infuriating.
But yeah, I'd still agree that he overshot it in the first Ice chapter, I actually still like the perfume one
>what's the worst that could happen?
Kaguya's family would learn about it. And everyone knows that we are gonna need Shirogane under the moon when that happens.
I'm really hoping for Prez to tell her family to fuck off, you know he would do it if he can see the moon
>actually dating now
>kaguya still can't call him Miyuki, or even Shirogane
Was it autism?
>not being O mÃnimo que você precisa saber para não ser um idiota
I brought it up in one of the previous threads but I think when Aka wants to show a character being unlikable, they go so far off the rails that they end up killing any goodwill people had for them. Happened with Kaguya, who took a while to recover from it, and now Miko, who people are already looking for any reason to hate. He just legitimately goes too far sometimes.
Timing also had a lot to do with it yeah, people wanted fluff right after the culture festival not what we got, once again I'm more neutral about the christmas stuff since only two chapters of that were actually drama related(even if one of them was bad).
5toubun is kinda weird in that all the focus, development included, goes to the girls, but the MC of 5toubun is even more of a cardboard cutout that even the guy from bokuben. To this day we barely know anything about him that isn't related to the quints. Compared to Shirogane and Yuiga, from whom we know likes, dislikes, objectives, plus how their characters have been molded by people unrelated to the love interests, Fuutarou is painfully underdeveloped.
Speaking of foreshadowing, the LN, that was released when the culture festival hadn't even started yet and is canon, spelled out all the issues that were dealed in the Iceguya arc, with a climax that is pretty much reverse culture festival, Kaguya being the one that manipulated the entire school. If people had read that before the Iceguya arc maybe they wouldn't have been as triggered.
>Aka this
>Hacka that
>Aka Aka Aka Aka Aka
Can you all please talk about other stuff that isn’t Aka? This is getting so annoying and it’s making me angry. Aka is so fucking shit and I seriously can’t understand how you don’t get tired of talking about him without ever stopping. What about Negi? What about Tsutsui? WHY ARE YOU IGNORING THE OTHER MANGAKA, ITS NOT FAIR. Akafags are the worst, I hate them and I hate Aka. Aka a shit. A SHIT.
based pastaposter
Exactly, it basically wouldn't change a thing about their dynamic but its gotten to the point where it's clear that nothing is gonna happen until it gets axed or the author decides he wants to end it.
I'm not sure they're actively hiding it as much as they would just prefer to keep it private for the time being. And yeah if it makes it's way back to Kaguya's dad they're in real trouble. The most they'll inevitably do is let the rest of the council know since they kinda have to talk about their future plans.
Trash cover
How come Karen doesn't have a boyfriend yet?
Seething
They'll get there one day. Though according to Kaguya calling him president is more like an affectation nickname than anything.
To be honest comparing Shirogane to other romcom mcs is kinda unfair, he is the best character in Kaguya, even the girls have a hard time competing with him in development, Kaguya is the only one that even comes close.
Kito Akari
COPE harder Kaguyatard, Sure if you like pussy MC's who are so insecure they couldn't protect there lady from a fucking baby than yea Shirogane is a better MC but if you want a chad who takes names and fucks bitches Fuu is the better MC of the two!
*Affectionate. Don't know how that happened
In the case of Miko, it's less Aka writing her as mean spirited and more some anons hating her from day one and bitching hard about anything she says or does.
Sure, what she said to Ishigami on Christmas Eve was out of order, but that's how their relationship is. She thought he could take it like usual, and unsuccessfully tried to backpedal when she realized she had gone too far.
I'm surprised it took this long for this pasta to be made
Shirogane's face in that bottom right panel gets me every time.
DISAPOINTED
I expected daddy in the house
>no way fag
>anons hating her from day one
Stop lying, people didn't mind her during the election arc, and then we had 50+ chapters with her around, she gets a lot of hate due to shitposters using her but a good chunk of it is deserved too.
But in 5toubun's case it's bad. Like Nisekoi levels of bad. Everything Futarou does or has done revolves around a quint. Anything noteworthy in his past, development and character has to be expressed with a quint nearby. Other than that, he's like Kyon. Take away the snark and you realize there's nothing beneath.
See? You can't even say anything about him without mentioning his bitches.
>people didn't mind her during the election arc
People were already calling her a bitch back then. They latched really hard at the PSP thing. You stop lying.
Based
>Kaguyafags suddenly hate 5-Toubun
What happened?
That was Ishigami self inserters only, there were like 3 anons at best shitting on her around that time, she only started to get hate from other people around chapter 100, and at that point it was deserved because she was around for a long time and had barely any development whatsoever. And don't even bring F up because everyone knows it's intentional.
The hatewagon started when she joined the council. More specifically it started when she started picking on Ishigami. "Miko a shit" was the usual shitpost
Mental breakdown followed by a transition to the La Pianista arc
>and at that point it was deserved because she was around for a long time and had barely any development whatsoever.
Miko barely shows up most of the time. She's just sort of there. The rare chapters in which she's the focus are usually focused on revealing character traits rather than developing her. I honestly feel like it took Aka longer to get to her development arcs than he originally expected.
If she would stop being a hung-up dumbass, then yeah
I mean if you are gonna count shitposters then sure, but the proper hatewagon only started when people noticed that Aka was gonna push her with Ishigami without developing her.
Yeah I agree, I feel like Aka didn't handle her character well, he should've at least given her a proper development arc like Hayasaka got by now.
I don't hate it but I wished toubunfags would stop spamming their lazy shitposts in these threads.
Think you can both be right in this case. Though at some point hating Miko became a meme for guaranteed replies for a lot of people. Gonna stay my opinion but I never though a character being underdeveloped warranted the extreme vitriol she attracts.
>Yeah I agree, I feel like Aka didn't handle her character well, he should've at least given her a proper development arc like Hayasaka got by now.
This IS Miko's proper development arc.
>Aka was gonna push her with Ishigami without developing her.
The fuck are you talking about ? Aka always intended to develop her and they didn't really get any closer without that as far as I know
>because she was around for a long time and had barely any development whatsoever.
Aka wisely choose to use that time to develop the characters we've already grown to love by then. Prioritizing development for a newly introduced member of the cast at the expense of the core characters would've been a bad idea. Just look at Yea Forums's reaction to those two chapters of Ishi drama
>when people noticed that Aka was gonna push her with Ishigami without developing her.
And yet that still hasn't come to pass
Then do tell. What has she done that was so bad to garner hate? Complaints about Miko were never about her lack of development, if anything they whined harder every time she was on the spotlight.
The answer always was "she was mean to my self insert". Miko haters have always been a mixture of Ishigami self inserters, Fujifags butthurt for god knows what reason and more recently some "Tsubamefags" who don't even care about Tsubame and just want to see Miko cry.
wait a minute... shit you're right...the fuck?
>tfw you'll never stick your dick into miko's cute and tight butthole
>I never though a character being underdeveloped warranted the extreme vitriol she attracts.
The lack of development is just the excuse, what makes people really mad about her is that Aka is pushing her with Ishigami who used to be a great character but he makes her shit on him all the time, every tsundere in Kaguya gets shat on hardcore but Miko didn't get nearly as much shit as the others.
The point is that it took way too long.
I could've worded that better, what I mean is all the hints that they are end game. It's no wonder that people will get annoyed when we don't know how Miko is gonna develop, right now she clearly doesn't deserve him, thats what makes people so mad about this pairing.
For better or for worse it's happening now, she's definitely not getting with Ishigami during this Tsubame situation regardless of whether she agrees to date Ishi so I disagree with the first thing being a problem outside of shipping. I do agree with that other user though, I don't think Aka really knew what he wanted to do with her until after the sports festival where she started getting more chapters focused on her. And starting with the 120s the manga turned into the Prez and Kaguya show until the end of the Ice arc, she just got on the wrong end of who the manga choose to focus on for a long time imo.
I think he knew what he wanted to do with her since the beginning considering the volume quote she had and some of the bonus content. He just didn't know how and when to introduce it and he didn't want her development to overshadow the main couple. Now that they are an official couple, he can do it.
Some user(don't know if it was you) said that she doesn't get shit on for being a tsundere earlier and I still can't see that.
In context of the manga(until 156) her behavior was bad but still was pretty harmless, We're still shown how self destructive she is though with all the shitty situations she gets herself into. Lawfagging got her bullied and isolated(this can be argued as being endearing but idk), and not being honest hurts someone she cares about and ended up breaking her arm because of it.
I guess I'm just more patient about this stuff, you aren't wrong thinking this, and thanks for actually having a conversation so this doesn't devolve into waifu shitflinging, but it's just something I'm fine with waiting and seeing before making any judgements.
Leave Ishigami to me.
>Every tsundere in Kaguya gets shat on hardcore but Miko didn't get nearly as much shit as the others.
Technically, Miko wasn't even interested on Ishigami until very recently, so it would be hard pressed to call her a tsundere. It's not like she was hiding her affection with harsh words, his actions genuinely pissed her off.
And it's not like she hasn't suffered as well. Her early days in the SC traumatized her and she got her kink revealed to the group in the most embarrassing way possible.
Overall, tsunderes in Kaguya don't get punished for being tsunderes but selfdestruct because they are tsunderes. Miko's lack of experience is certainly going to blow in her face, but probably not as badly as Maki.
Rather I'd say he tried treating her introduction the same way he treated Ishigami's, slowing implementing her into the cast and then eventually going into development down the line. I say he didn't know what to do with her because she gets so few chapters after the elections up to the sports festival that I'd say she it's more that she's had very little focus rather than being underdeveloped, though I guess both are true. Might have been a case of weird priorities, either way she definitely faded into the background until the sports festival.
Can't deny this
I expect that's it. He wanted to seed her in for later development and focus, but it took a really long time to get there because other shit was prioritized. Now we're in Miko arc territory, and it's looking to be a melodramatic nightmare. Which is great, if you're into that.
Also, keeping her as the outsider used to be her gag, so she didn't even get to read the shoujo manga and lose her mind over it.
>BDs are out

Yes it was me, and I agree that her tsundere stuff isn't on the level of the others yet (because she was not in love with Ishigami at that point) but I still feel like she doesn't get as much shit when she does something wrong. For example look at how much suffering Maki and Kaguya got for some of the stuff they did, a recent example for Miko is the one where Ishigami fell on the stairs, she really didn't get anything even close to Maki or Kaguya for that one, at least yet. By the way don't take this as me complaining about the manga, I'm just discussing because I find it fun seeing what other anons think about it.
I don't disagree, I think Miko deserves a rejection though, I want to see her grow up from that.
Deserves is a strong word
She's been mean to him, but not to the point that she HAS to suffer
Maki worked because she's a tertiary character that exists mainly for comedy
The thing is that it's not just a few times, it almost every time that they meet, if Ishigami just ignored that I think it would be a bit too idealistic. Kaguya and Prez already have a similar relationship in that sense (didn't like each other at the start) So I want to see Aka go the other route, where her behaviour towards him has more consequences. I not saying that they shouldn't get together, but I want her first attempt at romance to fail to break her idealistic fantasy.
>didn't like each other at the start
speedreader
i mean it's probably going to happen, though rather than Ishigami outright rejecting her i feel like the moment she "realizes" she'll know it's not going to work
I don't think she'd go and confess to him expecting him to accept
The moment she realizes she's in love she's probably going to try and better herself and treat him better
probably
maybe
who knows
Stop being a shitposter, you know what I mean, Prez fell in love with her but that doesn't change the fact that their relationship was rough in the start.
I feel like her idealistic thoughts about love were set up for her to hit her face in the wall, I won't be surprised if she really does try to confess without thinking too much about the way she acted towards him so far.
Miyuki fucking loved her regardless of her bitchy demeanor because he saw that dying flicker of her original warmth under the literal glacier of mental barriers and decided to turn it into most violent firestorm ever
he never was disliking her, he was scared of potential rejection, yeah, afraid of showing his hand too much and having her retract back to shell, but ever since that jump he ALWAYS adored her.
Same with Kaguya, she didn't dislike him before she saw how genuinely warm and caring he was she fell for him, she kept her distance and her mask to prevent anyone getting cut on her crown of thorns called 'Shinomiya's child raising regime'
I know that, my point was that they had a period where they were constantly talking shit to each other like Miko and Ishigami, good job losing your shit after completely missing the point of an example.
>had a period where they were constantly talking shit to each other like Miko and Ishigami
?
had a period where they were constantly talking shit to each other
??
>like Miko and Ishigami
???
are we even reading same manga?
bros I want Lino to step on me
There were multiple metions about it, who is the speedreader now?
Why does Prez suddenly love Kaguya? This came out of nowhere.
can't be
especially since Shirogane would worship the ground Kaguya stepped on if he could get away with that
it's even mentioned early on by Fujiwara, it's in the anime even, how can you forget that?
aren't you mixing the mindgames faggotry of theirs with open war between Ishi and Miko?
the latter chapters stand in contradiction to what you claim, especially Shirogane's side of story
So, Kaguya lost?
Yucks
The last thread went really well and comfy,
until this cover came out and bait Mikofags into thinking she still has a chance,
then they came in and ruined the thread
I'm not sure about the time when it happened, but Fuji mentions that there was a time where they didn't get along at all and kept talking shit to each other so the council was really fucking awkward. I think it was the time when they were still tsun towards each other, probably around the time right before the story starts with a timeskip.
that was kaguya's ice phase
BZZZZT
No one cares Tsubamefag
Did Kaguya lose?
Exactly
still from what both dorks stated in chapters around the Little Ice Age it's clear that their relationship even at it worst wasn't remotely close to Ishi and Miko, who also have made clear why they behave like they behave.
It was an example of something similar user, whats with the autism?
Yes
>that page where Shirogane's shadow covers her
>something similar
what daring claim comes next, user?
that owls are birds?
or that one gram of diamonds weights 15 gram?
That was a nice thread, too bad that the shitposters are back.
because anons are awful people who can easily self insert
>I love you. Please stir my mashed potatoes.
Man
>I show my devotion to you
Woman
>Please be mine
Everytime
Fujiwara has completely lost her Kaguya to President.
Will she be able to accept the state of affairs?
Fall into the pit of despair?
Become a toxic avenger who will seek to make Kaguya hers by force?
Because she's a loser like almost every one of Kanahana's roles?
Will we get a Hayasaka spin-off?
We MUST
Aka WILL do it, there is no "no" permitted!
Do it! DO IT!
Hopefully this will clear up some confusion.
>I love you. Please baste my ham.
how quickly they grow up
It's too soon to say if they're really hiding it or not. Even if they do plan to tell the others I'm sure they don't want everyone to find out by walking in on them snuggling. And they've both been annoyed enough by Kashiwagi and Tsubasa to know that flirting in front of their single friends isn't a good idea.
>already kissed like 3 times already
That's 3 more than most romcoms
Ishigami is distracted and will accidentally use Iino's uniform as a handkerchief.
What extras does they have?
Too good to be true
Preg Haya!
How would Fujiwara react about Iino and Ishigami's current relationship? What about Shirogane and Kaguya?
It's a tale as old as time itself
IMAGINE DOMESTICALLY ABUSING MIKO IINO TO THIS SONG AND THEN HAVING HOT MAKEUP SEX
(Pro Tip: She loves it)
DRINK BEER
RAISE SOME HELL
BEAT LINO
>a recent example for Miko is the one where Ishigami fell on the stairs, she really didn't get anything even close to Maki or Kaguya for that one, at least yet.
She traded the social cost for a physical one. A broken fucking arm.
Ishigami usually acts like he doesn't give a fuck about her being rude to him. I think he'd be more creeped out if Miko suddenly started acting sweet.
Of all the StuCo members why is it that Miko has only had meaningful interactions with Ishigami and Iceguya ONCE. This is not counting her introduction arc which was probably one of the better arcs overall. But seriously, I thought she would have a parallel relationship with Shirogane that Ishi has with Kaguya. I mean, is it too much to ask for 1 chapter of Shirogane and Miko subbing in for Kaguya getting into some student council work?
All she does right now is act like NTR bait and scold Ishigami.
youtu.be
Just IMAGINE the size of a arm that can cast a shadow on all of Lino's face
And that's about to strike
IMAGINE rhythmically slapping Miko Iino to this song because she wanted it...
>Side character's relationship is more interesting than the main characters's relationship now
Imagine all the ryona fanart of Miko that'll come out when S2 hits
>Tsubame and Papagane working together to CHALLENGE FATE
How could you not root for her to win the bowl?
No no no! Bad girls don't get a break from their daily beatings! They dont want it either
user, you are wrong! broken arms don't count as beatings if they are done through leverage instead of a strike!
Brown >>>>>>> Red
Man, the version uploaded to MangaDex is hard to read.
t.JB
>Witch senpai gets lone fanart picture
I guess she needs to make another appearance in the future now. That's the law.
Thanks for the scene idea, I'll definitely do this with my gf
No one said anything about challenging fate, but rather in not relying on it. Miko's the one who would need to challenge fate, because events aren't exactly setting up Ishigami to start lusting after her vag. Miko's the one with no obvious path to victory, while Tsubame could win any time she felt like it so long as she made up her mind to.
RIP Karen.
I mean, Nisekoi was the same, so it's not like it's rare for romantic comedies.
While I do not actually root for her or Miko, I'm really curious about what Aka is planning to do with her. She really has the potential to become a great character. I hope she won't be used just as a stepping stone for IshiMiko.
Who the fuck is that?
Need for speedread
How long until we see pregnant Kashiwagi?
>LA so good, boys. s2 is in production.
Prez lost a long time ago
>pathetic state of kaguyashitter
PREZCHADS ALWAYS WIN BABY
Those two losers can't even beat El Grande Padre
He's the Shinomiya family doctor
Grandfather of the boy that Maki has a crush on
The boy Prez helped get a girlfriend
His family is known for getting girls pregnant in their teens
He diagnosed Kaguya of being in love or some bullshit when she was fainting
Unironically who are you quoting?
>LA so good
I almost forgot that the live action debut is tomorrow
hopefully we may have second season confirmation after that
I think I've read from Twitter there's some event happening later. Crossing my fingers for an S2. Also I hope the LA comes to my country. Curious how it'll adapt stuff considering it has scenes from even chapter 60+.
Thanks user
>Crossing my fingers
haha.
>Toubun shitposter
Go back to your NTRbait chapter discussions
The event are literally setting up in Miko's favor, user.
Not to mention how she got far less time with Ishigami than Miko does and as she said people's heart may change overtime.
Regardless this is not what conversation is about so stop dwelling on it.
>NTRbait
There's no ntr in 5toubun. Just some fillers before Itsuki's wedding. Itsuki is like Kaguya, even her number in the title of manga.
>m-muh progress
all over this thread
how did this leddit opinion even make it here? seriously when has this ever been an actual indicator of the quality of a series?
Yet almost all of Yea Forums still chimp out whenever progress is halted in any manga no matter how beloved the manga was at first. Takagi, Komi, Senryuu has some blatant shitposters going "N-no progress!". Hell even 5Toubun with it's lightning pace is not immune to it with anons asking for Negi's head during the Sisters War arc Face it faggot, despite any winning formula for a series, it gets old over time and most readers want the characters to progress in a meaningful way due to the the reader's investment on the characters (because honestly who reads a RomCom for the story?).
>because honestly who reads a RomCom for the story
I swear, for some reason I've been seeing more of this shit from mangafags in recent years, especially in this fanbase. Too caught up in the "plot" and the "character development" of drama that has the same quality of writing as a Netflix series aimed at zoomer teens. Can't believe Yea Forums of all places is taking shit like "I can't have sex because my love is pure" or "I can't be with you unless I love myself" seriously, enough for these fags to make writeups like they're reviewing The Sopranos or something.
go watch your gubmint then
tons of action, no progress whatsoever
i read rom coms for comfy anime high school life
