I actually liked it, and this is someone who didn't really like Naruto and only understood it via cultural osmosis. The one part that was annoying was the very, very long flashback in the middle of the film with plenty of recycled footage. I mean, they didn't have to spell that stuff out.

One word: TRASH

lame love story

Kakashi is still cool

Attached: five thumbsup.jpg (460x259, 28K)

I overall liked it but I really dislike how Naruto looks with short hair

I think they call it art.

Attached: 1540583650651.jpg (4299x2322, 2.23M)

It was good. The romance plotline was servicable and felt very true to both characters. Sakura as a wingwoman was at her most likable in the entire franchise. Some nice fanservice with Kakashi being shown doing Hokage stuff for once and Hanabi teasing. The final fight was a slight letdown, then again Toneri stuff wasn't really the main dish. Boruto stuff tacked on later shouldn't be counted against the movie anyway...
Best of all, almost no Sasuke.

Attached: eat your hearts out, narusaku shitters.jpg (1920x1080, 362K)

Hinata was thicc and best girl winning is always great, retards getting assblasted was a bonus.

Hinata peaked in it and that's the objective truth.
I liked it but I find the thing about Naruto not differentiating between romantic love and love for food kinda stupid and lame.

Best Naruto movie for sure

It's a shame Toneri is now a certified jobber in Boruto.

It's the bandana, he looks better without it

Kino ending

If this page was canon, what would be your reaction?

Child bearing hips, only Sarada can match.

I was marathonning part one Naruto fillers,Hinata wankery by peiriot is fucking kino. If you didn't know these were filler you would unironically think she is stronger than Neji. She had like 4 sakuga scenes and even did shit that Hyuga normally can't do along with her own "absolute defence" technique and killed a Magnet power guy that Naruto failed to. All the villains praising her as "what a powerful girl,we must attack with full force". Overall nostalgic and pretty fucking good mate.

Attached: kjknj.png (1366x788, 825K)

That movie spawned great doujin

Forgettable, but Hinatafags keep insisting it's not only the best Naruto movie, but the greatest love story ever told.

best Nardo movie.

Toilets are art. Eveything is art. BTW digital animation was a mistake.

But it is the best Naruto movie solely based on that the best girl won.

Would like it more if Kishi didnt bend the entire plot just to canonize the MC couple. We all know romance is one of the weakest part of the series and holy shit The Last is living proof of it. I feel so fucking cringy knowing by somehow Naruto met Hinata even before going to academy, that Hinata is ACTUALLY his first love and his crush for Sakura is ACTUALLY because of jealousy of Sasuke. Im not Narusakufag but I feel so bad for them. Kishi literally called the ship a fucking BAIT. Like damn, dude, no need to shit on a ship that hard
The whole plot is Korean drama with the whole love triangle, which makes it double cringy. I dont even know why Kishi likes Toneri that much in the first place when that character has nothing interesting about.

Hinata always has been and always will be the SP favorite girl.

Attached: 1562802782819.jpg (1280x720, 57K)

good movie,
Hinata is at peak form here.

Kishi loves bashing Sakura,he did it almost all the time and yes the ship was mostly bait, even the "muh parallels" which is a comedy scene with Minato gets debunked, once you know Naruhina becomes just like Minakushi (since kushina never punched Minato, only her kid when misbehaved). Naruto actually came to dislike Sakura in the kage summit, I agree on that the romance in the movie was bad they could have added more good scenes from the manga which are vastly underrated.

Personally, since Naruto was my "gateway anime" and Naruhina was the first pairing I liked, it felt really nostalgic to see this movie, even though I didn't finish Shippuden. The credits' sequence was very good imo, and the last shot of them kissing was a good conclusion for Naruto's story arc imo.

It made 774 draw pure vanilla goodness. Miraculous.

Naruhina and maybe the Last healed 774's twisted soul.

It was certainly weird, even putting aside the strangeness of the series suddenly focusing on a romance. Most glaringly, the Tenseigan really screws with how dojutsu seemed to work in the original series.

The fact that it was released before the anime ended also created a problem where post-series Naruto was using outdated transformations in a really dire situation for some reason, then using his newer/stronger ones against some random kid in Naruto Gaiden.

Sincerely, a Sharingan user is always a treat, even if is just a kid.

>Hinata
>Best girl
What now?

>Kishi loves bashing Sakura
>Naruto actually came to dislike Sakura in the kage summit
Why do people make up shit to make their waifu and their ship look like hot ice?

>Naruto: The Last
More like Naruto: The Worst

Made me cry happily

Unrelated.

Does anyone know a manga/anime similar to Naruto but it's seinen? I to be honest liked Naruto's lore

Hinata's scarce character stopped mattering 100% after this movie. She served her purpose - she got with Naruto. Kishimoto basically washed his hands of her and everyone who weren't hardcore Hinatafags followed suit.

An objectively bad movie but I like it anyway because I'm a huge Hinatafag
even though it's bad I've watched it 5 fucking times

I expected it to be a last hurrah for the franchise and one last epic ninja adventure but instead it felt like one of those generc filler movies except with a really sappy romantic story holding it together. I'm sure shipfags loved it, though.

Kishi didn't really write the movie nor did he come up with the idea. Some NHfags from Studio Perriot did

This movie is the one thing that "killed" Sasuke as a leading role main fan fav and in fan importance. I hate it. Now he rides on Sakura and Naruto's coat tails as the niche in shipping or fight fanservice. He's lost all his universal mass audience and independant brand.

Theres a reason he's falling behind naruto and sakura as a prominent porn parody, the series has abandoned his focus and potential to whore out the main male and female audience with boruto and sarada.

BTFO NaruSaku and Sakura fanbase got butthurt Hinata was the female lead..
10/10 in my books.

Fanart has made me warm up to it, but overall prefer his teenage hair a lot more.

I actually liked the one where Naruto went to prison the best. Back when sage mode and Gamabunta were relevant.

fuck off narutards

>his first love and his crush for Sakura is ACTUALLY because of jealousy of Sasuke
That is not just a movie thing that has always been the case. Sasuke was always Naruto's #1 priority while Sakura was just... there and it was always shallow. The fact they only bonded over mutual love of Sasuke was a dead giveaway.
Pretty sure if Ino was on Team 7 things would have played out exactly the same.

Though agreed that retconning Hinata more into Naruto's past was cheap when Kishi could have easily built it up more. There is no excuse for neglecting it after Hinata's confession like he did.

Attached: 0470-004.jpg (842x558, 59K)

Kishi actually liked Sakura, more than Sasuke even. He just didnn't know how to write a compelling self dignified female heroine.

worst love story ever told

Naruto and Sasuke was a priority to Naruto Not the main priority which was being hokage, his interest with Sasuke dialed way down when he brought him back to the village and basically became Hokage, Naruto fans say that Sasuke was the series but it was about Naruto getting his way which had Sasuke as the main key to establishing Naruto's power over everyone.

>Hinata was the female lead..
Sakura actually had a bigger role here than in most movies where she was the "female lead"

How did this movie have the power to do that?

>Naruto forgets how to use all his powers to make the plot happen
>still fodderizes the antagonist in the end
I can understand that you don't won't to kill people outright all the time, but your gf has just been stolen, AND YOU LITERALLY CAN FUCKING FLY, why don't you give chace to her and Toneri? I mean fucking Christ, Naruto, you have 6psm and gudodamas. You're about to be NTR'd. GF's pussy is on the line, and the fucker still refuses to actually solve the problem.

Attached: king crimson mad.jpg (1024x576, 83K)

Poor attempt to fix Kishimoto's lack of female writing to justify NaruHina
Even if I myself supported NaruHina

Maybe not close to the greatest I'd read a novel or watch a real movie if I wanted a genuine love story but by anime standards it's done well.

most people who hated it were self insert sakura fag who identified with the person once was or the low self esteem loser sakura still is and always will be. Sakura never got over her childish crush on Sasuke but Naruto got over the one he had on her long ago.

Attached: hinata1.png (1107x590, 453K)

Here's my tier list of naruto characters

Attached: 1567618409471.png (1064x581, 388K)

Sakura was unironically at her best during the movie. She usually pretty fucking annoying but when there is someone the right distance from her socially where it's not too far not to be friends but not close enough for her to be treating them like her team-mates, she actually turns out to be pretty good.
I'll give her credit where it's due, she was entirely nice and polite to Hinata while still maintaining enough familiarity to bully the fuck out of her for liking Naruto.
10/10 Sakura character development, too bad it was too late.

You Hinatafags can't make a single post without mentioning Sakura.

>Sasuke
>Sakura
>god tier

Attached: 1485057785528.png (1802x1300, 442K)

Imagine thinking hinata isn't the best girl in the series.

Attached: tumblr_inline_p7o0i4KdHb1rw72d5_540.gif (500x270, 542K)

very much based. Hinata is the "best girl" pleb filter

I'm a huge Hinatafag and even I had a problem with the movie's retarded explanation for Nardo's crush with Sakura.

was Kishi too dumb to realize that even though you can get a crush on a girl you don't necessarily end up with her at the end.

Attached: IMG_7850.png (1920x1080, 1.97M)

She isn't. Like, what's so special about her outside of being the demure doormat NEETS think are easily accessible?

- himecut
- big boobs
- Nana Mizuki voice
- Yamato Nadeshiko
- Moon princess heritage

what's not to like?

So pretty much like I described. Literally no character, just shallow waifubait.

Needs more Madara

Whats so special about Sakura outside of being the main girl?

>Sakura wasn't even mentioned.
>Bring her up anyway.
Literally RENT. FREE.

stop being gay.

Hinata's been mai waifu since the original Ninja Storm games on PS2

This was the one where this 1 pretty boy wants to make Hinata his bride?
I think the Wakfu special did it better.

Put Hinata in irrelevant just cause she is cute and all the others in trash, and then you done it properly.

They are the only characters that matter in this series.

you have to go back

>>>

dilate

cringe.

Idk abut what people in general think, but to me she always seemed like the bravest girl in the series, and probably the one with the most willpower. She has to work her way up from a basis of substandard talent for her family, and doesn't quite her fight with Neji until she's beaten unconsious and half to death. Then later during the Pain arc she is the only one to stand up to Pain after he has just taken down sage mode Naruto.
Hinata is hot and sweet, yes, but she is also very brave and willfull when it matters. She also has the one chapter that felt particularly shippy in the original manga dedicated to her and Naruto (somehere soon before Sasuke vs. Gaara in the chuunin exams iirc).

I didn't like the movie very much tho.

massive meh!

i liked it originally but now i think it should of been a series, probobly the last season of Naruto to have more Hinata/Naruto moments. its just cheesy that he liked her after a genjutsu, and him liking Sakura turning out to be jealosy of Sasuke was forced.

still, the ending made me cry.

It was serviceable on its own, but the action was kind of boring and though the romance didn't offend or completely bored me, it still came out as unnecessary since nothing in it couldn't have been resolved in the manga's main story with a couple of similar scenes. It is to date, the best looking Naruto movie in terms of art, art direction and cinematography, though. Background art in particular is very notable despite the use of CGI.

My making Hinata the leading secondary figure, and Sasuke a guest apparanced. That damaged Sasuke being a immortalized fan favorite that left a final positive impression from the last cannon movie about Naruto series.

Sakura is, Sasuke is basically a black sheep one hit wonder that aged bad with the series and failed to become a franchise classic icon

It's pretty obvious you are a pinkshitfag if you don't like Hinata,do you really think anyone wouldn't have noticed you samefagging all over the thread?

I actually kinda liked it, in a vacuum. I actually think it and the Boruto movie are the only Naruto movies worth shit since the first one but I hear this is an unpopular opinion so I'll leave ya'll to it

>Sakura is
She isn't, in fact Naruto himself wasn't too good either.

I actually think it's kind of amazing in a way as I don't believe I've heard of a battle shounen getting a movie just solely dedicated on character romance which is unique since usually they don't tend to care about that aspect admittedly, this is due to how little development of it there was in the manga itself

Based Hinatabro.

Naruto and Hinata get together
The Last happens
774 becomes purified
Makes a bunch of NaruHina vanilla
Decides to go legit
Makes Nagatoro serialized
Get cute, successful romance story

Attached: 48372064_p03.jpg (718x1014, 222K)

What's up with naruhina piurifying people? How wholesome could a ship be?

Movie or not and ending up with Hinata or not, it was always clear that Naruto never actually loved Sakura. He had a childhood crush on her and that was it. Whether you object to it fie whatever reason, his crush on Sakura was never treated with the same seriousness as the girl's. The movie didn't actually came up with that.

She was an underdog story in her own way like Naruto between her power level, her family and her crush. So much like Part 1 of Naruto, I can see why people would be into that. Now this wasn't really followed up much on in the series itself but my point is it hooked enough people for a long time.

It's literal scientific proof that Hinata is best girl. I have never seen any other anime woman have such an effect on people

I really don't understand why Kishi didn't develop Naruto's side of the love,Hinata liked him because how he try his hardest and inspiration he gave to her to find her own inner strength. Admiration turning into love it makes sense but he never did it with Naruto, maybe because he grew a up a kid who didn't know what love is? It seemed like he only started linking Hinata because of her sexual appeal,I mean he had 2 kids with her unlike any other family. Also Sasusaku could have been a good ship but kishi forced Sasuke to be a bad guy constantly making him hated in the fandom,Sakura's love for Sasuke has no meaning to it either, just a childhoood crush solely based on that he is "cool". It feels really weird that he develop ships either half or none.

>I really don't understand why Kishi didn't develop Naruto's side of the love
Battle shounen mangaka don't do romance. Like ever. They don't care about it that much.

I thought the artistic direction, music, and choreography were all bretty damn gud, but the random TWO YEARS LATER crap really worked against the faint traces of character and relationship building from the main series by forcing Naruto to be 2000% autismo.

It was good at least that the romance arc wasn't tied up with a forced damsel-in-distress ending in the main series, but doing it as a separate epilogue movie probably isn't any better. I would have preferred it if chapter 699 just ended with Naruto just running off to find Hinata, then they hold hands or some shit, which would have indicated their main character arcs were complete.

Now THIS is being delusional to the point of absurdity. Kishi's favoritism and obsession with Sauce was such that even within the story the rest of the characters barely ever call out the batshit insane things he does and gets away with literal slaps on the wrist over things other characters payed with their lives. That's not something he would do for any other character except maybe Naruto, and certainly not for Sakura.

I have no idea man,but she is definitely the reason why I powered through shippuden.

>Decides to go legit
>Makes Nagatoro serialized
>Get cute, successful romance story

I'm still waited for art club pres to rape paisen while Naga mindbreaks as she watches him stop fighting then eagerly giving in.

>likes sakura
made her cuck twice and a lot more shit

>It seemed like he only started linking Hinata because of her sexual appeal
Naruto literally said in part 1 why he likes her. I don't understand what's so complicated about that.

The main trio are all absolute dogshit, except for Hokage Dadruto (but only as Dadruto), but specially part II Sasuke and Sakura. The rest of the list is also total trash and completely wrong except for Gaara being in tier 2.

But Sasuke was the third most important character in the most successful Naruto movie

Attached: Boruto.jpg (1280x960, 391K)

steaming hot garbage. The only reason why narutards defend it as canon is because they like to wank Naruto having moon level durability.

Attached: 1530580942210.png (466x285, 95K)

Naruto was actually weaker in this movie than in the final arc

The two years gap was Kishimoto's autism acting up and no one else's fault. There's an interview where one of the people working on the movie said Kishi specifically requested for it since the implication of his characters getting into romantic relationships while being underaged bothered him a lot.

>since the implication of his characters getting into romantic relationships while being underaged bothered him a lot.
Very based and vanillapilled Kishimoto-san

Old enough to take life endangering missions and kill for your country yet still not old enough to fuck? That's really stupid

Was he? In terms of durability and damage output the movie had Naruto's best feats by far. He just didn't look visually as flashy as his So6P mode design.

The Last was the most memorable and loved by fanart feedback.

Sasuke was barely in the third movie until the last second.

>Hasn't seen Sasuke results on rule 34 compared to Sakura and Naruro.

>Kishi's favoritism and obsession
This is a false rumor disproved by the Last Movie and basically the direction he written Sasuke as. Hell Hinata ended up more favored by Kishi than Sasuke ever had in the series.

>hat even within the story the rest of the characters barely ever call out the batshit insane things he does and gets away with literal slaps on the wrist over things other characters payed with their lives.'

He has been threated, nearly killed and in the end exiled and ended up working for the same village that ordered his clan extinct, it's not a overt punishment but you can see Sasuke was build as a character to fall from grace and have a bitter sweet end to his story, while Naruto and Sakura achieve ultimate happiness with their goals with Sasuke while having the ultimate leader roles in the village, Naruto as the hokage and sakura as the head doctor. Sasuke ended up screwed over and now Kishimoto basically was responsible because he never cared about Sasuke as a hero figure or a character he latched on to like he did for Naruto.

Sasuke gets to be a wandering hobo beloved and respected by everyone that does whatever the fuck he wants without any annoying childhood friends begging him to come back home, no more creepy snake guys trying to molest him and without having to pay child support

It crushed the sakurafags, and there was much lamenting. If only for this reason it was goat. Overall it was pretty above average, especially given the general shittyness of the show.

>Tenseigan really screws with how dojutsu seemed to work in the original series.
Kishimoto needed to bait the powerlevelfags that make up 90% of the fanbase somehow.

>This movie is the one thing that "killed" Sasuke as a leading role main fan fav and in fan importance.
Imo this happened the moment where Sasuke gave up and admitted defeat to naruto after their final fight. He decided to live for others, without having any real ambitions of his own.

Attached: 1541990974372.jpg (1024x576, 53K)

I dropped the original series after Pain, can I still watch this?

>big boobs
do you even read the manga? Boruto sucked those udders dry.

It was boring and I felt the love plot was actually terrible, even though I've liked Hinata since she was first shown in the manga.

This is for real? Nagatoro owes it's existence due to NaruHina and Naruto the Last?

>>The romance plotline was servicable and felt very true to both characters.
>Naruto doesn't gaf about hinata throughout the manga
>Naruto has one fever dream
>"HOLY SHIT I've decided I love hinata now thanks kishimoto!"

Attached: 1560886490021.jpg (323x323, 49K)

Or maybe your just retarded?

It's more of a meme but he did go legit after The Last and did do a bunch of NaruHina vanilla doujinshi both non-H and H so considering how different manga Naga is from doujin Naga, people put two and two together

>calling someone retarded instead of forming an actual opinion
I see your game, shill.

Attached: 1527610230087.jpg (842x792, 114K)

I thought the scarf was a PG friendly proxy to Hinata's hymen/vagina. She was saving it for Naruto, but then some guy came and forcibly tore it up first. She became an empty husk, and didn't care what happened to her body anymore. But then Naruto was like, I don't care what happened to it or eho did what to it, I still want it. It's the only way Japanese men can understand that women can have more than just one partner, to make a metaphore with used up goods.

Your entire argument falls apart when you consider the fact that Naruto's dream job is basically sucking the joy out of him and he'd rather do anything else but the boring paperwork he submits himself into for the good of the village. As for Sakura, she pretty much never gets to be around Sasuke like she wants to, making her years of groveling through the manga a complete waste of time. She never ever stated or implied she wanted to be the village's head doctor either, and it's obvious she'd drop her patients and the entire village in a heartbeat if it meant Sasuke gets to slap her one more time.

It was the red thread of fate.

>pre end of Naruto
>everyone hates Sakura and agrees she is worst girl
>Sasuke Naruto was a bigger and more beloved ship then Sakura Naruto ever was
>Naruto: The Last Happens
>suddenly die hard Sakurafags everywhere crying about it for years
Where did they all come from Yea Forums? Even during the Naruto is a Gateway anime copypasta days it was agreed Sakura was shit and Hinata was top tier.

Attached: 1414038192865.jpg (960x854, 537K)

I agree it makes no fucking sense. They just randomly infested this fucking board for some reason like a bunch of cockroaches

Attached: 05_wJcBTVK[1].jpg (1280x1850, 502K)

Sakura was never popular on Yea Forums. Actually Sakura was never liked by most people except SasuSaku fangirls.
NaruSaku fans seemed like mostly anime-only viewers because the anime still tried to push it for some reason. They were still far outnumbered by SasuNaru and NaruHina fans, but since they had a forum it was easy to catch their unfiltered reaction.

The butthurt over The Last wasn't just NaruSaku fans but also SasuSaku fans who were mad that Hinata got a movie to tell her love story but Sakura still has nothing.

Should I watch or read Naruto?

Half of the movie is repeated flash backs to the same scene. Pretty lazy, and the animation was pretty meh.

A "romance" so badly written that Naruto had to be brainwashed into loving Hinata, that's how little substance and development this pairing had.

A visual "Tour de force". Hanabi and Sakura stand out as supporting members and the scenes of Naruto and Hinata rival the classics in delivering an emotional punch and being cute!

Stay mad pinkshitter.

>Brainwashed into loving Hinata
Are we really going to use this shitty debunked point again?

Anyone who denies this hasn't actually watched the movie.

Hinata doesn't have genjutsu though

I have no issues with the movie itself, but the timing of it. it was announced 5-6 months prior to the manga ending and spoiled the ships/ who survived the war if there were to be any casualties.

>LOOKS LIKE THE SIGHT OF REJECTION, I THINK

Well, she's not Sakura
ergo, BEST GIRL

> tfw you will never experience the shitstorm that happened when this pic got leaked for the first time again.

good times.

Attached: The site of rejection.jpg (925x824, 168K)

Is it even possible to speedwatch a movie this fucking hard? How is a dispelled genjutsu supposed to brainwash someone? Not to mention you have to be a mouthbteather to claim Naruto came out of it immediately loving Hinata. I watched the damn movie only once and even then I remembered the actual sequence of events was the group falls into genjutsu>Naruto sees Hinata's memories>the genjutsu gets dispelled>Naruto is now aware of her feelings>they get separated from the group and spend some time alone>Naruto realizes he likes her back>Toneri takes her away. Holy shit, stop being retarded. That said, I don't care about romance and the movie was a snoozfest. Looked damn pretty though.

what are the chances of Naruhina 2.0 happening in Boruto?

Attached: BoruSumi.full.2321083.png (2560x1440, 1016K)

Really Boring film with deceitful initial marketing.
