I know that the animation is not that great but why do people hate on black clover all the time .Some people dont even watch it but say its bad for no reason like today people saying black clover is bad because its genric whlie saying mha is not genric. The anime fails us on every single episode... I haven't seen the last 10 or so episodes, but I'm content. I hate how they manage to butcher every iconic scene because they need more money to spend on Boruto filler

Studio Pierrot is trash and it's all Yoshihara's fault for wasting sakuga and animators on his shitty anime-only filler instead of failthfully adapt the important manga scenes.
The best example of this fuckery by Yoshihara is Yuno vs Rill while butchering Asta vs Langris.

MHA and Black Clover is pretty generic. Probably listening to newcomers because part of forming a "respected" opinion is finding an anime to hate. Was in SAO in the past, I guess it's Black Clover now.

i'm gonna ignore the MHA flamewar bait and just say that when i first watched black clover on and off for a while it took me a LONG time to actually start liking it. i didn't actually get into it until the fight with vetto really changed my idea of what this series was going to be and why things had been the way they were from episode 10-40.

i think it's reasonably likely a lot of people don't give BC a serious chance because i almost gave up on it until by random chance i went back and gave it another shot

Unique World-Building that ties into their generally unique narratives along with stronger characters. Essentially pushing closer to the complexity of a saga rather than just a show. More importantly, the concepts presented can't be found anywhere else really.

There are far more examples given how big the shounen genre is, but fundamentally is there anything BHA/KnY/Black Clover does that we haven't seen before?

the animation quality, storyboarding, etc. had NOTHING to do with my personal experience. it had everything to do with the story itself and the characters and their progression. it doesn't have the best animation but it's certainly not inexcusable.

i'm not trying to be a dick here but in all honesty "Unique World-Building that ties into their generally unique narratives along with stronger characters" is just you stating your opinion. anyone could make that claim about BC and MHA and i don't believe you'd be able to prove them wrong decisively. i personally like all of the shows mentioned (except i'm drawing a blank on what KnY is for some reason), and now that i've seen enough of each of them i believe they all have qualities that make them uniquely enjoyable in their own way.

The series has a very generic start, and doesn't really has anything that stands out with it, but I do admit that it is a consistently good series. The anime adaptation also has mediocre animation compared to other battle shounen nowadays such as Fire Force, HxH 2011 and My Hero Academia, and the annoying voice of Asta also adds fuel to the fire.

Personally, I enjoy the series, but I don't watch the anime. It doesn't blow my mind or anything, but it's a good series. If it was released 19 years ago, this would have been one of the most popular battle shounen today.

Yoshihara is the only reason the anime even has decent moments. Asta vs Langris wasn't even a fight you faggot. The same could be said about Asta vs Ladros, Asta oneshots Ladros in the manga but the anime extended it. Fuck off.

The animation quality of the last BC episode really made me think should've been Pierrot instead of KyoAni.
