>he thinks that subs are inherently better than dubs or vice versa
>he can't compare the two and enjoy whichever one fits the anime best
He thinks that subs are inherently better than dubs or vice versa
Dubbing is always a poor man's choice. Dubs are directed for kids or retards.
There's no point in comparing anything, original is always objectively and logically superior regardless of the country origin.
All dubs except these for little kids should be permabanned. If you need your language, just watch something produced in your country.
based retard. there are plenty of dubs objectively better than the anime's respective sub
Same can be said for dubs. The true weeb/animefan shitlord always go for no-subs, no-dubs and study Nihongo everyday to master it.
If they aren't Japanese, like the cast of Baccano or any fantasy anime, I use dubs. If they are Japanese than subs. Such an easy to follow and logical rule.
I'm not a burger so I don't give a fuck. I enjoy the dubs I grew up with and I use subs to anything I didn't watch as a kid/teenager. Nowadays dubs are for sharing the anime I like with my family.
I watched dubs as a kid and stopped when I grew up
Getting some native speakers to awkwardly hamfist your language of choice into a piece of entertainment is not the preferred method. You can never capture the original so you make do with subtitles.
Nah. Original cast is what any media is intended to consume with. Original cast is directed and cherry picked by original staff. There's simply no argument for any dub defense. You're even more funny when you say 'dub fits better the characters'. This is just the lowest tier bullshit. How the dub (f something fake, remade and adopted) could be ever better than original. It does not compute unless you're stereotypical burger.
Not really, with original voices you can always hear the original, even if the subs are shitty (and TLs for dubs are always WAY more retarded then even crap like commie). Of course there's something like verbal expression and emotions that are universal for people all over the world (emotions are free from language barriers).
Not to mention that I didn't even mention about subs in my original post.
Space Dandys bug is objectivly superior to the sub. Same with Cromartie. It always depends on the poduct.

I try to watch dubs, but only if it's legitimately good. If dub is garbage or just doesn't exist, I default to sub
Except subs almost always fit the anime best because nowadays dubs are low effort trash with no emotion. There are a few exceptions, but most of the time you're going to get poor imitations instead of voice actors trying to do well in their own way
Boy, you sure have pleb opinions, which is quite fitting for a shounen baby like yourself who doesn't like to read. It's not like someone who watches basic kiddie anime on Toonami would know a thing or two about the medium giving your opinion any weight.
>reaction image from a show on Toonami
I agree otherwise
that may be true, but it's only true for a very, very small portion of shows. the vast majority of the time, the sub is much better
>Entertaining the notions of dubs existing at all like a subhuman burguer would
>A thread died for this
Based Cringetard Sega with the absolutely tarded 'thought' patterns
So you're saying foreign voiceacting is ALWAYS better than voiceacting you can actually understand? Or that you somehow think that even in Japanese it originally came with subtitles and those aren't added via your country.
bobobo-bo bo-bobo dubs are fucking great.
Similar to Trigun
Anime with good dubs are like 5% of them all or less. So yeah, subs are inherently better and it makes sense since dubbing industry in US is fucking garbage gathering of twenty amateurs while in Japan there's a huge system dedicating to producing the highest possible quality out of thousands of skilled and trained people.
when is Yea Forums getting flags
Nice dubs you got here.
A dub can't be great if the anime itself is shit, like Bo*7
Now listen here you little shit, only because you can't into humour based on absurdity doesn't make it bad.
Hopefully never. It's not certain nations that are causing problems from what it seems, just specific boards like /pol/ and Yea Forumsermin who come in as shounentards

while that may be true, it is incumbent on the viewer to grade both versions of the anime so that it's more enjoyable. Would you really watch '97 Berserk subbed? Absolutely not
Sub > Dub is the rule of the universe.
>So you're saying foreign voiceacting is ALWAYS better than voiceacting you can actually understand
Learn to read dubfag. Not in the case where the original language is a language you understand.
>Or that you somehow think that even in Japanese it originally came with subtitles
If the guy doesn't know Japanese he will need some sort of aid to understand it. On the one hand you have translated lines on the bottom of the screen which can vary in degree of localization and quality. On the other you have replacing the entire voice cast and localizing the script for the lowest common denominator ironic weeb. If you can't tell the difference I recommend seeking help.
>via your country
What the fuck are you even talking about?
dub is fake thats it
I usually watch dubs if it fits the characters (not when it's a currently airing show tho). It just feels weird to watch a show like Baccano subbed.

Dubs can fit better if the characters are European, like Hellsing. There's also when a show is heavily Americanized, like Carole and Tuesday.
Tirgun's dub is earnest, but not particularly good in several areas. Bosch was very inexperienced.
Old latino dubs are p good, american dubs are all shite tho
>muh dub
>muh sub
Both are fucking shit, read the source material you plebeian brainlets.
>he thinks that subs are inherently better than dubs or vice versa
Yep, I've already explained why
Only raw is acceptable.
The best a dub can get is acceptable alternative, and the amount of dubs that achieve that can be counted on both hands.
>You need to watch both
Not really though. 9 times out of 10 the original is miles better, sometimes the dub is just as good, and vey very rarely the dub is better. I shouldn't be expected to try every single dub out there just to hope I find the one that's good, its perfectly fine to stick with the sub until you are advised that this is a rare case.
