The show could've been a sci-fi show about a bootleg sentai team of characters dealing with weird experiments that happened to them as kids, or it could've been a story about regular teenagers who suddenly have the ability to feel what the others do and what would happen from that. Both of these are very strong premises.

instead it tries to do both and doesn't really do either justice, much like the classic proverb.

The only good thing was the Luluco cameo and the OP. Otherwise its complete shit.

Also the show never gave Nico a chance to grow as a character, and they never explored her family issues mentioned in the first episode. The writing sucks, sorry Okada.

This. It made me extremely angry but looking back it's my most beloved trigger show somehow.

I liked it, it was a decent show, still better than Franxx. Art was on point, and the plot never really got to shit. Hating it for teenage melodrama is like hating Evangelion for the mechs.

If you like pretty things and a somewhat bearable story, give it a try.

The visuals of this show are obscenely overrated. It has some nice, striking layouts and lively character animation, sure, but the art direction is the definition of uninspired, and the character designs are unpleasantly fujo (the show was even marketed heavily in fujo magazines, obviously nobody fell for it), and lack any form of cohesiveness in their color scheme. Coming from Kill la Kill, it certainly wasn't impressive.
