I watched first season, and did not pick up second season, but it seemed like a popular series based on what I saw on manga shelves at book stores

I like it, but hated how much of a piece of shi the gods are.

First season was a pretty shitty adaptation imo, second did much better but still changed a lot of shit. If you have any genuine interest revisiting it I rec the manga.

I didn't watch the anime but the manga was actually amazing. Wasn't expecting it to be that good.

The core story isn't that good anyway.

Even disregarding the story, the anime mostly fucked fucked over the characters. Yukine’s brat phase was drastically padded in the first season, making him almost unbearable. Timing of events changed, and some of the more light-hearted, comedic, character-driven stuff was relegated to OVAs that a lot of people missed.

The first season of the anime did not make me interested enough to pick up the manga
