And now it's gone, hold me bros

There's still mangadex

I’m genuinely heartbroken over this.
Yes, I know, it seems a bit off bemoaning the impending closure of what was essentially a huge pirating website for manga, but what can I say? This website and its app were pretty much the reason I got back into anime after nearly a decade after giving up on it.

I more or less saw this coming and at the very least, we can all be thankful that we were given prior warning to the site shutting down so we might have time to archive and record the contents of our libraries.

I’ll tell you who I feel really bad for right now; the manga artist who blew the whistle on MangaRock for posting their webcomic without permission. While she’s technically in the right, It won’t change the fact that there’s going to be a lot of angry MangaRock users who blame them for the site getting shut down.

Remember Metallica?

Why people keep reading manga on that shitty site?

>shit online reader shuts down
Oh it's not like there are other 20 fucking other readers

bump.
I would have never got into manga and read masterpieces like 20th century boys, a drifting life, kaiji etc without this app. Instead I would have only watched shitty seasonal anime. I'm very sorry too see manga rock go . We've had a wonderful four years. Thank you for your services.

there's still that one good manga website up check this out

bookdepository.com/

I caren't really about the "piracy"; these are scanlations with no official English release.

Maybe the scanlators could work out a deal with the original publication and actually publish them cheaply or something which would probably benefit all parties involved but ere that time come I have no moral qualms with pirating something that has no official commercial release.

This one had one of the nicest interfaces for me on mobile, on a tablet with its perpetual scroll interface automatically adjusting the size of the image to fill the tablet width.

what's the fuss here? Why do you say it's gone, it's up and running you know

mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-100267786

?? Still work.

they could have a manga reader with official western releases banned but people aren't coming to pirate sites to read literally who manga that nobody bothered to license

MangaFags where mods are retarded and comments are autistic

Now what Tachiyomi extention to use?

Damn shame, mr was the only online reader that had Kaiji complete in order.

just iOS app i think so only NA fags are sad about this

I buy physical copies
Fuck off, manga is pretty much the last physical copy focused form of media, let it stay physical copy focused
Let me guess, you pay for "steam games"

Manga rock is dying? What happened?

could you fucks verify what the fuck you talk about?
The website is still on you cunts

Its shutting down, got some time yet.

when?

I'm really enjoying their app on my phone. Is even that going to die sometime in the future? Or is it just their site.

>paying for scans

glad they died

Dunno, no specific time mentioned, just "soon"

Some groups don't post there, and they don't have licensed stuff either. If two or more groups post in the same language, the list will have a ton of duplicates on Tachiyomi too.

just make an account and disable all languages other than english

wait does that mean their stuff wont work on tachiyomi any more? like 80% of my saved stuff is from them fuck

What extensions do you use?

>reading comments

Get a better taste

>pirated the premium version because mangadex is shit on tachiyomi
Guess I'll just go back to the epic 403 forbidden please understand service

You can disable other languages, but can't disable other groups that most the same language. Look at 5Toubun, for example. Both Dropout and Yea Forumsnons are uploading to MangaDex.

Thinking about MangaDex, Manganelo, Mangasee, Mangaeden... I will probably need at least two

>Not only is it a phonefag but an iToddler one at that

This I would also like to know.

Canadian here the website is still up.

>mobile scum
and nothing of value was lost

if so, why people still upload there, if it's dying?
and more importantly, how can i scrape my favs from it?

iToddlers BTFO

It was a sudden announcement, and I keep my MAL updated so its just a case of spending an hour migrating to another source in tachiyomi.

>MangaFags where mods are retarded and comments are autistic

Welcome to Yea Forums, oh you were talking about MD.

Why do you need an "app" when reading on the site itself works just fine? Mangadex for example

Same. Hopefully they just shut it down in specific territories like JPN and US.

This, only retards care about this shit site going under when there's still many options left and one with no ads at all.

iPad is the only premium way to read stolen manga since 2010.

If MangaRock goes down I hope uploaders will start putting shit on Goddess more often. Updates seem to lag and most of the new shit sits in unsorted updates for weeks

Euro here, app is still working, is this just American thing?

Nips on twitter banded together to shut down Manga rock once they realized it wasn't a licensed platform but a pirate manga aggregator.
I saw this shit unfold on twitter the past 2 weeks

Seems like it. Probably to avoid prosecution from American localization firms. If that is the case so be it, because they didn't have access to the (stolen) localized official rips anyways which is like the main selling point of MangaRock.

Who the fuck doesn't use an adblocker

A fucking load of retards, hence why all sites still runs ads, especially when they browse the site using phones.

Why not? The only reason it's not my go to is because I like having all my shit in one place and faggot scanlators want to keep all their ad shekels on their own sites

Just happened to download the app last week, still have my premo membership. Hopefully a VPN will be all I need if this turns out to only affect Nip Land and Freedom Town.

Because it has full scans of *official/licensed* english tankobon releases and up to date official weekly licensed releases. Most aggregators just deal with unofficial scanlations and remove shit that's licensed.

Nah I opened the app and it still works for me.

You can try and go back to college to learn Japanese. That way you can just buy the manga that hasn't been translated.
