unpopular opinion here, I like botan but i don't like how she win. It's just like the author to decided put Aoi's Character in the trash to pander to his readers and give them what they want when his manga is getting axed(maybe to have a good publicity). MC realizes he likes her at last 3-5 chapter when there's no development of relationship between the two. how they get to know each other? Did they even hang out?maybe at the mall or karaoke? This is even worse than Raku realizes he likes Chitoge. At least their relation developed to the point that they've got each other's back. I've never thought Best Girl Winning tastes so stale.Even now the author is drawing Botan ripoffs.Looks like Kaguya, Jitsu wa and (to a lesser extent) Juliet are the good romcoms this decade.

I agree that the manga needed to be longer, Botan winning was a good thing because she fell in love with the real Itsuki, while Aoi was in love with a person wrought in guilt everytime they hanged out. 4 or so chapters of nothing but SoL would be great where we could see Botan and Itsuki just hanging out and talking about comic books and novels without him having to worry about anything being revealed. Aoi should've also been there occasionally just to see male Itsuki and Botan bonding and her getting over her fear of men like the book fair chapters, this would all make it even better. But, even then I think Botan winning was the right choice, not just because it broke conventions, but because it feels like the relationship would work out well properly between the two compared to Itsuki and Aoi. He fell in love with her over a misunderstanding, and she barely ever even saw him without cross dressing and him not being nervous about his cross-dressing.
