>REEEEEEEEEE MUH FOOT BALL
imagine watching only commercial
>more popular than church
I read Captain Tsubasa and hated it as a kid. It was horrible.
>Tsubasa kicks the ball at the goalkeeper
>Goes into despair for a whole chapter
>Goalkeeper taunts him
>Whole stadium thinks of it as a duel between Tsubasa and the keeper
It's like the mangaka read the rulebook for the sport and never attended a single game in his life.
my childhood with my friends trying all these techniques (but not the one with the twin)

SEA here. Can confirm Tsubasa is the reason why people love football more than Badminton even though we haven't won anything since the nineties.
EL TIRO DEL TIGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I like their real world counterpart better.
drive shooto
the only one that miss the show were the burguers
and the bongs because they didnt get their license mate
Just like Saint Seiya, everyone outside Murricah likes it, and not everyone outside Murricah is an spic.
>Just like Saint Seiya, everyone outside Murricah likes it
you can add City Hunter, Cobra Space Adventure and Hokuto no Ken
seriously we were blessed as kids in the 80/90s in europe

In a series with a field so big it goes beyond the horizon, ridiculous shots, improbable saves and so on, the simple action of a desperate GK leaving the goal to steal the ball to attempt a comeback is still the most kino thing ever happened in the anime
posting in lowkey /spa/ thread
I've always wondered whose idea was that and who was willing to pay to get the music of the Italian Lupin opening instead of creating there own from scratch.
Modern Yea Forums doesn't care for spokon so the threads were consistently dying with < 10 IPs and from a certain point had only "why isn't anyone watching this" as the OP
*their own
>behind the scene
the italian madmen
Actually a bunch of shit related to anime in the 80s were passed along european countries. In a lot of cases for example the adaptation wasn't made straight from the original japanese source but based on whoever EU country did it first. If you also consider that some series were also butchered when they were first imported and then touched some more you might've ended up with something that changed the plot or key parts completely
I'm hispanic and I hate it
I like the song dragon screamer though
Muricans...
what was is name? Damian?
amerishits BTFO
OLIVER, BENJI, LOS MAGOS DEL BALÓN
Newsflash, it was supposed to be anime, and aimed for kids. It wasn't meant to be super realistic matches.
Benjamin in the french dub
>Tsubasa
You mean Majid
>Majid
You mean Oliver
Cause sportsball
>Oliver
You mean Olivier
>Olivier
You mean Oliveraton
>It's like the mangaka read the rulebook for the sport and never attended a single game in his life.
wrong, he never read the rulebook to begin with...
he knew you play with your feet, the goalkeeper can use his hand and the ball inside the goal is a goal...
who was the best?
who remember this one
>best sports mango got canned
I fucking hate Japan so much sometimes
Don't count me in, I always hated this stupid anime plus I never seen any trace of love for this series in Italy
not ecchi enough
is that Del Piero on the poster?
Oui
But Football Girl completed successfully.
>High-school sports manga finishes before getting to nationals
>successfully
There's a reason it ended so abruptly and with such a bullshit reason.
but now its rare to find a successful football manga

As a zoomer, this is the one I grew up with. Not gonna argue which one is superior since I don't care much, but I enjoyed it a lot as a kid.
World youth at least not having a complete adaptation is criminal
i never finished this manga but i really liked Shingo Aoi story
Its DBZ football edition
...
2018 was perfect years to adapt it. If not then 2020 olympic or 2022's World Cup.
Then it got axed first goddamn Nips and their shitty taste.
