He's the character who drives the entire manga, I don't think that counts. Sena is simply the character that things are happening too. Also, the manga never really completed whatever it was going for with Hiruma, his fucking dad got revealed through a random panel where a new character described looking him up on the Internet.

didn't he join the NFL in the end? Also he and Mamori went to the same college and is implied together. I think he already forgave his father long before since he still kept the black cellphone but his family was just never the focus of the story.

I don't feel that's what happened, Mamori started getting teased with Hiruma very early on and Suzuna herself was introduced less than a quarter of the way into the series.
it was stated in an interview somewhere that Mamori was supposed to be Sena's love interest but they realized she's too motherly and they're too familial to be one so author created Suzuna for him. Hiruma is just a chad that ends up dragging the pure angel to his wicked ways.
Ah, I didn't know that. She did come across as way too motherly towards Sena at the beginning so I never felt she was going to become his love interest if not for the out-of-universe consideration of her being the only female character back then.
