Chrollo has his own ways of getting an ability but he can ultimately just have a couple of his own people tie a guy up and torture the info out of him and just put the mark's hand on the book at the end of it all. That's far easier to pull off than Benjamin's Baton.

Apparently it can be read as Benjamin Baton or Benjamin Button so there is a reference there, not uncommon this arc specifically as most abilities introduced are a reference to songs or books and in this case a movie. The second title of his ability is apparently a reference to Inherit the Stars by James P. Hogan.

A baton also works because the baton pass is analogous to what his ability does, pass on stuff to him. I don't know if benjamin button will matter here as there's no aging component at play so it's probably just Togashi continuing to channel his inner Araki where not every stand's name really has a deeper meaning to it's ability or design.

Copying someone else's ability means you might not be able to use it as well as they can. Not only could you not have the same affinity (enhancer, transmuter, etc) but you could just have less potential overall for nen. Plus since nen is a psychic ability how you feel about the ability is going to differ. Imagine someone terrible at math and not as proficient at combat trying to copy Knuckle's Chapter 7 Bankruptcy? How about someone without the same training as Killua turning their aura into electricity? Alternatively you might be more suited towards an ability than even the original creator, Ging seems to be good enough to just copy certain types of abilities and use them arguably better than the creator. Granted Leorio never had a reason to send more than one punch as opposed to Ging who was showing off a bit and sent a dozen or so.

Even in the case of something simple as an enhancers Ko punch you see how each person approaches it differently; Uvo goes all out and sometimes screams the name of his attack, Phinks winds up his arms, Gon does his pre-move chant. People just naturally have different ideas on how to do things and the few people we've seen recently that use the same ability are all from the same social caste and disposition.

Uvo was an enhancer, the only ability he named was "big bang attack" and I think his restriction was just charging the power with aura. Remember enchancers are simple minded so they don't come up with comboluted restrictions. ABILITY (Corpse Hunter):
User transfers consciousness, resurrecting into a deceased body.

FUNCTION:
1. Binding:
The user binds a corpse by commencing an undetermined ritual before delivering a fatal blow to target within x amount of time. Nen will then heal the fatal blow and revert the corpse into the
state it was before the fatal blow was delivered, and at the same time binding the body.
2. Determening:
The user determines a corpse by commencing an undetermined ritual before dying, transferring conscioussness into the determined bound corpse.
3. Resurrecting/Reanimation/Corpsewalker effect:
Upon transfering, nen will ressurect and maintain the corpse's bodily functions and keep the user alive by any means (beyond an undetermined threshold of damage) for x amount of time before fading away.
The user now has control over the target body until the death of the user.

The problem stems from the language.
Even if(and that's a big if) you have brilliant translators and actors, some sentences will still have a different length.
It means that even the best translator will be forced to cripple the script to make it fit.
One must re-cut and sometimes re-draw a decent chunk of an anime to avoid it. It's doable(look no further than DBZ Abridged) but it means you have a separate video for each audio track, which complicates things(like BD distribution) even more.
It probably can be done for the live-action as too, but one must probably implement some sophisticated algorithm to pull it off within a reasonable timescale and budget.
No sane publisher will do it, so dub is somewhat passable at best.
