It terms of stated body count, yes, in terms of horrifying imagery, they're basically on par. Symphogear has always had fairly random shock horror from time to time, it just seems to be good at making people forget that.

Honestly, I don't care if what happened to her was sexual abuse or just regular abuse (using her for gun/weapon smuggling or having her scavenge food for the militia), it's the fact that nothing at all was brought up.

My big problem is that she was not once reminded of ANY abuse, physical or mental or otherwise, despite having been a prisoner. S1 Chris was so traumatized she literally wouldn't accept food for fear of it being poisoned - that kind of baggage doesn't just disappear.

It bothers me in particular because all the geahs have had their issues touched and expanded upon at least once, even if they weren't fully resolved. Chris's on the other hand were kind of swept under the rug, and the time she got in AXZ was spent on the Stephan dilemma. That wasn't necessarily a bad arc, but it was a present-time problem that didn't answer or expand on the trauma of Chris's past.

While Gungnir is integrating with her body, it wasn't widespread initially and Hibiki never comments on being massively stronger now than she was the day before, where she was a completely normal girl who had never trained at anything. Miku would make sense because Miku is stated to be athletic and good at track and field, but Hibiki is crap at that. And Chris is somehow worse than that despite what should be years of physical activity every day. You don't work on a farm your whole life and end up a fatass that gets winded from a little running.
