You know, it's fucked up that we've dozens of shit boards yet anime and manga have to share the same board
You know, it's fucked up that we've dozens of shit boards yet anime and manga have to share the same board
Brooos where's my /manga/, /retroanime/, /shounen/, /2000s/, /ovas/, /moe/ anime boards??
oh yeah it sure worked wonders for Yea Forums huh
METATHREAD!
If you split them up Yea Forumsnime would just become Yea Forums 2.0 and /ma/nga would become quality but die within a week.
Yes. I wish that.
>This idea again
No, this would not make either board any better.
Just rangeban all South American posters. Voila, you have 90% of the shonenbabbies and shitposters gone.
>/ma/nga
>quality
Have you never seen the abject levels of trash isekai threads reach? or dumpster fires like tokyo ghoul:re and domekano?
or the general shittyness of OPT and other disguised reccomendation threads?
this board was infinitely better before jay pee was split from it. even with the touhou spamming.
Do you want to stick the last nail in that coffin?
And still objectively better than any anime thread
OPT are one of the few good threads left now that mods are purging all board culture from the site
And 90% of the board population.
OPT?
>OPT are one of the few good threads left
LMAO, can't make this shit up. Literal template generals without any valuable debate whatsoever. OPT should have been permabanned for years now, but the mods are too pussy to pull the plug for good.
OPTs are nothing but the same trash shounen, isekai, ecchi, and haremshit reposted every thread.
maou retry and c____ craft threads are pretty decent
Just start livestreaming people killing crossboarders, that'll legit solve some issues.
Lets start with all the KusoAnus drones, aka Yea Forumsedditors.
>Literal template generals without any valuable debate whatsoever. [insert thread name here] should have been permabanned for years now
So just like most (totally not) general threads.
But I agree with the initial point, making another board wouldn't change anything.
That wouldn't improve anything, that's as dumb as making Yea Forums only comics and making a /ca/rtoons.
The amount of boards we have now is fine.
/vr/ didn't help Yea Forums get any better.
Same suggestions, with the same arguments every time. All boils down to retards refusing change
>Yea Forums and /ma/ will be slowed down due to divided fanbases
Wow that sounds horrible, it'll be like Yea Forums in the old days where discussions and fans are limited to few select interested people who really wants to engage in a series in seclusion
>there would be less people to discuss with in my circle of hobby
You worry of shortages of discussions? Will seasonal anime stops airing for people to make threads about? Will manga stops being translated? You know how stupid this assumption is
>Yea Forums will become just like Yea Forums 2.0
If Yea Forums (in your eyes) hasn't become Yea Forums 2.0 by now with the combined number of two potential board users hailing every cancerous shounen, yuri and animeonly crowd, why would they become Yea Forums 2.0 then? Are you suddenly not going to enforce the rules?
>i wouldn't be able to discuss anime in a manga board or manga in an anime board
I'm sure the mods will allow some leverages. The two medium are interconnected with each other and only retards with no basic understanding of how the anime/manga industry works would't understand
>The two medium are interconnected with each other
Which is exactly why it's impractical to have separate boards for each. Case closed.
>The two medium are interconnected with each other
Gee, I wonder why they share the same board then.
This. The constant infinite subdividing doesn't fix a god damned thing.
Filthy separatists doesn't realize that their board would be overrun by foreign board cultures such is Yea Forums or /jp/.
>would be
Yea Forums's been making themselves at home here for a while now.
Invasions are a moderation problem. Adding more boards wouldn't fix that.
Yeah, they are making themselves at home many years. The point is that it is still not their home. Even /u/ posters are more troublesome than some integrated Yea Forumstard.
Nigga we were debating the right side to eat cornets from and suffering through a massive case of deja vu with Yuki before Reddit was a thing.
Do not feed. It's one guy who posts bait like that every chance he gets.
every manga thread I've been in BEFORE anime adaptation were comfy, then anime comes and manga threads will eventually die when scanlation stopped.
There are plenty of manga that don't get anime adaptations, or their adaptations are incomplete. Or manga that are well ahead of their adaptations and animeonlies cry in all their threads about mangafags spoiling things just by talking about what's currently happening in the story. People already try and separate manga and anime threads about the same series.
If we allow /ma/ , then we have to allow /mau/,/mac/,/mad/,/may/ etc.. complete chaos.
>Will manga stops being translated?
unfortunately, yes.
>I'm sure the mods will allow some leverages
It's not 2009 anymore, mods know nothing about anime. In fact, they'd be happy to get more reasons to ban innocents.
So we split the board because of animeonlies and couple of mangafags that can't use spoilers?
>People already try and separate manga and anime threads about the same series.
I don't see why this is a problem.
>People already try and separate manga and anime threads about the same series.
See? The problem has already solved itself.
Board selection is less about topic taxonomy, and more about separating posters who don't get along. The readers of some super niche manga and the viewers of its anime adaptation tend to have more in common to talk about than fans of battle shounen #246 and fans of moe comedy #413.
