Did anything happen? I checked, and its still up and running here.

j-cast.com/2019/09/02366514.html

What?

Is this the beginning of the end?

For-profit piracy should definitely die.

I believe they cleaned up their apps available through app stores so you can't access licensed manga. The website is still working fine for me.

>streaming manga

I can't access the site. What happened?

>For-profit piracy should definitely die.
Would raising funds to pay costs (hosting/staff) be fine?

Is that why I couldn't access their site the other day?

Makes sense, they are charging for what is basically piracy. Fuck that, especially since they are profiting off translators who probably don't get a dime from them.

Well that isn't for profit then you dumbass. Profit means you are actually making money. And usually the things you mention are already more than covered by ads.

The app is running just fine with the manga rock source, what's up?

Apparently the problems start when you use the app store apps in a region that has manga licensed. People are talking about using a VPN to set their location as India to get around this.

who in the actual fuck uses mangarock, you can't even save the pages

I use the app on an ipad. reading is comfy that way. and there's always screenshots

Shit, does this mean Tachiyomi is fucked for Manga Rock?

>not using tachiyomi
I bet you don't have sex

I doubt it. The region blocks must be limited to their neutered apps.

No but I do dilate.

It has good quality for a lot of old manga.

You fucking faggots know this trash and other shitty manga sites are made by filthy seanigger right?

>Oh no, whatever shall I do, that's the only place to read manga
Moron

So is my computer. It really isn't worth judging a product based on the creator.

Soon, you sub human

>Paying for pirated manga
LMAO what the fuck?

fugg it's a nice app if you know how to exploit skipping ads. It's still working fine as of now though.

And nothing of value was lost

Literally nothing happened.

People will pay for convenience. Just look at netflix and crunchyroll's success despite their shows being available for free torrents.

netflix literally going out of business

"So no matter how much a foreigner might love a series, they may never experience the joy of holding and reading a printed copy of their favorite work." it's not like 30+ year old mangas will get a release in my obsucre shithole even if I donate my house to the authors. Staying with the Vietnamese farmers it is.
The guy also associates with FAKKU so screw him.

>It really isn't worth judging a product based on the creator.
He's probably from Yea Forums because thus us how they operates

Source?

Yes, but the reason for that is because netflix used to be convenience since you could see all shows on there. And now you have to subscribe to 20 different streaming services to see everything. Since everyone is opening its own one, so people are just going back to piracy.

True, but Netflix lost most of its audience-appealing content thanks to the immense fragmentation going on in the streaming sector. Korean tv, turkish tv, chinese movies or WOKE californian shit nobody watches is most of what Netflix offers.
paying for fakku or paying for CR was stupid and rewarding faggots who stole shit and then got rich off donations. same people who pay for that shit were the ones who paid Tazmo for stolen Naruto scans: fucking underage gaiatards.

If there were more options like Mangaplus then maybe I wouldn't use this, do they know that? Also not everyone is going to import Japanese tissue papers just for their Chinese cartoons.

this nigger isn't even a Japanese.

I've been reading rips for 20 years now. Short of putting a guy in my home to literally hold a gun to my head to use official garbage licencor outlets I'm not changing.
The vietnamese and other third world for profit sites are all that's left over after they drove the regular scanlators out. This is a problem of their own making. Fuck em.

It's the head of a garbage US based doujin localizing/publishing company basically telling Manga Rock, Kissmanga etc that "Piracy bad m'kay?".
It's entirely irrelevant, guy's probably just mad people are getting a slice without going through the extra trouble he has to go through to localize and publish oriental pieces of paper.
Thread shouldn't even be here on Yea Forums.

What about Pinterest that is basically profiting from what are usually all-rights-reserved images?

For whatever reason there is strict enforcement against copyright violation in music and video but simple still images which are just as much copyrighted routinely get shared everywhere and no one bats an eye.

There are a lot of websites that allow the users not to share any links to piracy but you can hotlink copyighted images or link to them galore even if the original artist specifically prohibits it and they never bother to check.

I swear if copyright were consistently enforced for images tomorrow it'd be the end of the internet... come to think of it why am I fucking using Pinterest as an example when I'm posting on an imageboard where copyrighted images are repeatedly posted?

Get a job, learn Japanese and import your manga. It's not as expensive as you probably think it is (it's actually cheaper than buying official english translations in my country, at least. It will also provide you a better experience in almost every way. At the very least stop using shitty websites that don't even do their own translation and make money off of other people's. Just download your manga from the actual scanlators or from nyaa/ab/bbt/dex/whatever.

Actually, even for images copyright is being enforced. Its just a bigger pain in the ass, because for images its usually smaller parties who own the right, and you have to go sue whoever is infringing yourself. Also generally copyright has to start getting enforced when people are making profit out of those images.

Also pinterest is a shit site that should shut down for all the BS they pull. Oh and if you wanna step into a catastrophy of copyright law, look at shirts, large companies are constantly stealing small businesses shirt designs.

The difference is Netflix and Crunchyroll is legal, whilst Mangarock is not.

Crunchyroll hasn't always been legal.

fuck, and now?

More like normalfags don't know or scared to torrent so they just subscribe instead.

Still works on my machine.

That's true. Torrenters are more likely to be punished by ISPs because they upload, rather than just downloading like streamers.

forbes.com/sites/stephenmcbride1/2019/05/21/netflix-has-175-days-left-to-pull-off-a-miracle-or-its-all-over/#2b6c3bcc75c4

This but also that they lost a load of their business capital when they tried to make origingal series that no one was interested in.

More like they were forced to start making original series so they have content left to put on their platform.

>Forbes.com

doesn't it depends on the country you are?

They got removed from the PlayStore years ago though. From then on I had to install it from their site until I moved to Tachi.

Trusted by newsguard.

Press F to pay respect? I'm more like Pres F to say FUCK YOU.
These guys was getting SUBSCRIPTION MONEY!!

>tachiyomi
>mangarock
Disgusting

Yet Yea Forums is still online despite it basically being a central hub for image copyright violation and it gets away with it.

Neither the user nor the law enforcer seems to consider going after image copyright violation a high priority.

Name 1 (one) bad thing about Tachiyomi.

It may be getting blocked by some ISPs maybe?

Huh, so they must have cleaned up their apps a long time ago. Maybe they really are getting blocked by ISPs.

How many years will i get for copy right violations in my meme folder?

Millenials nowadays is not much different from boomers when it is about how to use a PC.

Yea Forums isnt making money off those you dummy. If Yea Forums started charging for access, then they could take it down as well. Also how much copyright violation is really going on on Yea Forums? How many non edited images or images that were not posted specifically to be shared are on here? Nearly none.

The little copyrighted shit that gets posted here can get away trough so many loopholes.

Maybe their website is just shit. It works for some and doesn't for others.

This is literally an opinion piece.
Not only that, it's obviously paid for by Disney and works off a ton of retarded hypotheticals like "Dude what if Disney released capeshit movies on their streaming platform and at the box office at the same time?"

So Nips aren't talking an issue with non licensed manga being scanlated?

>paid piracy
>phone nigger shit
I'm glad it's dead or going to die. Fuck off retards.

Yea Forums gets away with it because it's a platform and not a publisher. Mangarock definitely falls more on the publisher side as users can't upload stuff.

They are but it's pretty difficult to make the case they're losing sales when they aren't selling in the first place.

Kill yourself, of course.

Yea Forums hosts user generated content. Services like MangaRock are designed around administrators uploading and distributing copyright infringing material. There is a huge difference. Yea Forums is protected by safe harbor laws.

>not using comic glass + goddess for itoddler devices

Generally it's an issue for a lot of them. I don't know why you're so fucking retarded.

Youtube certainly can't get away with it though it's the users uploading. one also gets one's arse hauled of Soundcloud for uploading music outside of the rights.

There isn't even something about copyright in Yea Forums's rules and no one bothers.

Can't zoom out past the page limits.
Sometimes when you slide up it goes to the next page rather than slide the current page.

Simple things that could be fixed but are my biggest irritations with it.
