I wonder why people prefer the Dolls? If NR weren't so shit, maybe more people would give them one. Episode 4 gave me more sympathy for Vanessa than the others because she seemed like she might be willing to cooperate at one point, but Fudo messed that up. Doggo didn't do much, but had no qualms with any of the stuff they were doing. Vamp needs no explanation. I don't hate them, but they don't make me care like Ver, St.G, Carol's party or Fine.

By all other accounts she was a rabid dog who actively was burning away her soul as time went on. Hibiki wanted to save her sure but that's Biki. The show didn't really expect the audience to magically overlook her actions because that was what Elf9 was for.

The gears are always more intersting when they are the superior force. I don't how Kaneko managed not to make them being underdog heroes engaging but without Fine seemingly killing everyone feels real bad when Carol just let the gears get away or when the Top Brass couldn't do any lasting damage when they had all the cards, so I actually enjoyed NR more then the dolls there.

Not remotely. Carol was always very clear she was acting out of anger and was wrong. NR however completely ignore even the very conceit that their actions are bad. Neither side was right but Carol, even when getting sympathy moments was still presented as in the wrong. NR however had more early screen time than some of the gears and they wasted it on sad doggo faces but not a single moment of conscience.

Why bother? For the first half of the series, they're incapable of dealing any damage. For the second half, they're mostly incapable of dealing damage.
Hell, the JSSDF strategy in season 1 was literally put as many soldiers in between civvies and noise to minimize civvie casualties.
