Fairy Tail went downhill pretty quickly after the first "if we don't stop these people the world is DOOMED!!!!!" and the time skip only made things much worse.
Watching them going on quests and mess around was a million times more fun to watch imho.

The series was carried by the ass & titties and the celtic infused soundtrack, otherwise it was shit.

Erza and Lucy are pretty cute.
I got upto episode 23 a while back but it's hard to watch when I give so little shits about the dumb guild fight.

Early FT was good because character were dealing with their pasts. Then they ran out of pasts and everything became "muh guild" and no-stakes asspulls.
I stopped watching because the animation was awful but I kept reading for Wendy. No one could have predicted how underwhelming the ending would be.

Even if they did the sequel it would be trash animation and art style like season 3.

I remember Mashima saying originally they were going to keep swapping party members. That would have kept things fresh and been an easy way to introduce new stories. The things I liked the most at the beginning was that it made it seem like the guild was full of Natsu level people, and the bad guys were real threads that didn't go down in one punch while ALSO having an emotional hold over characters. Of course it had to go in a completely different direction.

Man, I wish this section gave equal focus on all the aspects. We see her tits, her thighs, and her face given focus, but when they make it to her ass, they tease a moment and cut away to something else.

Pre-timeskip was mostly fun schlock and not too terrible. Tartarus was decent aswell - everything else is pretty damn awful. The final arc was by far one of the worst in shounen.
Ending was surprisingly not terrible considering shit like bleach and reborn.

i miss the vibrant colours of season 1.

If you want a story that has a clear set up, engaging characters, world building, and overwhelming boobage to boot. Read Edens Zero.
