So here's more Tenchi Muyo! material which no one that hasn't read all 17 novels understands (compressed for filesize constraints).

Note the carrot themed hair buns for Sasami.
Also was Mihoshi always this stacked?

Also OVA5 still sometime in the near future.
I get the feeling Kajishima was that kid who always wanted a treehouse growing up but his dad was too busy to help build him one which is why Tenchi's dad is an architect that built him his own lakehouse + all of the wood-based ships/buildings in-universe.
>Also was Mihoshi always this stacked?
Bruh
Minaho (I think), aka Yosho's non-shit daughter.
I've always enjoyed the details of how the Jurian characters all keep their miles-long hair in check, notably Aeka.
She's always been one of the bustier/taller members of Tenchi's harem but I think she may have grown a cup-size or so in the past several years. (Skipping a few pages literally detailing detailing handkerchiefs, furniture objects, and other Kajishima-autism levels of world building)
I've only seen the first TEnshi Muyo OVA series.
Mikami, proving the Kuramitsu/Hakubi genes are the real ultimate force in the universe. Light Hawk Wings be damned.
I don't know what to say. As much as I love the series, the wall to get into it at this point for non-Western is so steep and getting taller by the day. It's a giant time sink now even for those that grew up with it.
The rare appearance of male Masaki villagers.
Savor it, since you'll probably never seen them in the next OVA.
Hey it's Tenchi's Great Aunt that ran the onsen.
More or less it for now that's worth posting.
Do we know what it will cover? I wanna see Kenshi's training.
It can be presumed to cover parts of the -IF- doujin drafts and basically all of Omatsuri Zenjitsu no Yoru Tenchi Ban 13.12. Even though I'm sure the action involved in Kenshi's training will make for a more marketable release I really am praying they spend a but more time on Tenchi & his harem's family development/;baby-raising SoL shenanigans a la OVA EP08.
They spent damn near 5 entire episodes across 2 separate OVAs working up to Nobuyuki's marriage to Rea, SO FUCK EVERYTHING if they skip showing us the final combined wedding of Tenchi and the girls we've been waiting nearly 30 years for.
I also want to find out what happens after Seikishi, presumably Tenchi's group goes to Geminar to fetch Kenshi after completing his mission or warping him back.
Yeah I could be down with the IF stuff
According to rumors, AIC was vehemently against animating the -IF- doujins despite Kajishima's pleadings prior to the modest success of OVA4.
Why? That's stupid
They better do it before all the VAs die of old age. Hearing grandma Sasami was painful.
Tenchi's step brother is okay but I dislike the other males main characters in the Tenchi series especially Seina.
Personally, I feel Seina was a huge mistake and should have never existed.
It would have done wonders for Tenchi's character development if he had been the one to go to galaxy police academy like originally intended, seeing that Tenchi was a highschool dropout and never got a real chance to think of a career or try out further schooling.
Maybe the pirate blood in Tenchi's DNA would activate once he went to Galaxy Police Academy since his ancestors used to be space pirates before they become rulers after all.
It's too late now but I remember when GXP anime was aired in America, everyone was wondering why a new main character was chosen instead of more Tenchi as a character.
I suppose fear of commercial failure by the studio considering how old and somewhat insular the franchise is (OVA3 was over 10 years old at that point before they began production on OVA4 and it had a super rushed and much criticized ending as can be seen in the un-animated flashback storyboard material that was released later on). This even though the GXP novels sell fairly briskly in Japan, but "pure" OVAs are expensive to produce and much rarer to be seen nowadays unlike in the 80s or 90s golden era.
Still, I'm pretty optimistic this time. Just look at the happiness and contentment in Ryoko's eyes in this page and then tell me you don't want to see it in motion with sound. It's literally what she's been waiting all of Tenchi's natural life for.
RIP Mizutani Yuuko (Mihoshi's OG VA), she wasn't even old.
The only other original cast member that won't be returning is Yumi Takeda (Aeka's OG VA) who retired which is a shame because there really isn't another person that had that kind of gentle yet stuck-up Ojou-sama voice:

Oh, I was thinking more a reservation based on subject matter rather than budget issues. I can see the reasoning behind funding the OVAs in general.
