I'm not fan of the anime because I got a problem with Toei potrayal of some strawhats (I started with manga), but anime until timeskip is considered good from what I hear.

Some people seem convinced that both/either big mom/kaido will die at the end of this arc and it confuses me.

Even ignoring this is one piece (you know how death is in one piece) I think they believe that there's no way either of those two could possibly continue in the story after this arc is done. But outside a few pretty much all importanat one piece villains are still around in doing stuff in the story.

There's a better chance their alliance fucks off to tottoland in defeat/shame or some shit then them dying.

Well the fact of the matter is that we're gearing up to the end. I don't know if they'll die but I don't think they're needed after this arc. However I think Shanks is dying before it's all over, likely at the hands of Blackbeard

Shanks is Luffy's father, not Dragon. Dragon is a red herring.

Evidence:
Looks. Luffy looks a lot more like Shanks than he looks like Dragon.
Pretending that Dragon is Luffy's father protects Luffy from kidnapping:
Everyone knows that Dragon won't negotiate. Yet Dragon may still retaliate. Whereas if everyone knows Shanks is the father, Shanks hand would be forced, Shanks is not the type of person to let his son die.

Foreshadowing:
1. Luffy being handed the hat would be a typical father trope. A father is much more likely to give an arm to a son than a random pirate.
2. Everytime Dragon is shown Luffy or his accomplishments, he doesn't seem to care. Shanks shows a fatherly pride.
3. Dragon doesn't seem interested in Luffy at all, except providing him protection once in Loguetown (is that canon?)
4. Shanks continues to provide protection for Luffy (Marineford)
5. Everytime Luffy gets a bounty increase, we get a reaction shot of Shanks.
6. Actions vs. words... the only reason to think Dragon is the father is that people keep *saying* he is, but he never *acts* like he's the father.
7. Shanks was acting like a father in the bar by not reacting to the mountain bandit. He was trying to teach Luffy not to overreact. This is the kind of humility a father might show in front of their son.
8. He seems relieved even after losing his arm, because to him, when he says "it's just an arm", it is JUST AN ARM compared to HIS SON. Only a father has this kind of love. Shanks is a pirate, not a saint!
9. Shanks, a Yonko, apparently spent a lot of time on a podunk East Blue island. Why? Because his son was there!
10. Why was Luffy in the bar with Shanks? Because Shanks invited his son into the bar!

Plot reasons:
1. It'll make Shanks inevitable death/sacrifice that much harder on Luffy.
2. There's no chemistry between Luffy and Dragon. Nobody gives a shit about Dragon. Dragon is boring. Dragon is a "revolutionary leader" full of plotting, scheming. Whereas everyone loves Shanks, Shanks is carefree, Shanks loves freedom. Luffy inherited these traits from Shanks. Everyone loves Luffy. Luffy is carefree. Luffy loves freedom.

1. Shanks has occasionally talked about Luffy to others as if Luffy isn't his son. However, this is precisely the charade one would keep up if they wanted to brag about their son without revealing he was their son!

Also, the earliest arcs they worked on like FI and PH aren't that great compared to how they did Dressrosa, Zou and WCI as they were still trying to figure out how to go about cutting filler, syncing music, etc. They're still doing gods work though. TL;DR one pace is decent at trying to make the anime 1:1 but just read the fucking manga.

Sorry, I watched the anime and someone told me that part of loguetown was filler. I guess they were clowning me. Anyway, other than that single event, Dragon doesn't give a shit about Luffy. I never said Dragon isn't protecting Luffy, or didn't protect Luffy. But everything we've seen of Dragon since then would not give even one iota of indication that Dragon is Luffy's father.

It's how Dragon behaves in private when he gets news of Luffy's adventures. It's like he doesn't even care. That's not how a father behaves.

The animation was good at times, some of the still images were cool. I didn't care for how drawn out it was. And the sound effect was more annoying than scary and what I'd imagine it would be.

The Batman Endless Quiver Arrow Rain last episode isn't a good sign in my opinion. Though I'm sure they'll deliver on more important stuff later on. (zoro vs magistrates was a perfect example on extending a manga scene while not feeling like filler garbage)

That panel does say "it's of the strongest devil fruit type," not that it's the strongest devil fruit. But it's also stated in the thoughts of a character who absolutely would have no idea what the strongest devil fruit is, so it would make sense for her to think it's the strongest too.

Robin's claim is more reliable, but it doesn't say it's #1, just one of the strongest. And that would still be leaving aside devil fruits that aren't known to the wider world.

I don't see it going higher than logia fruits. sure it's a busted power, but would anyone would want to become a toy maker all that much? It would matter for people like Doffy, who run a country and want to do shady stuff, so he buys it, and gives it to his nakama. While with a logia, you become really powerful and can accomplish a lot of stuff in your pirating ways.

I don't see it as a huge plus because it's not eternal is it? Your appearance just stays the same, but you still would die from old age eventually. Maybe some royalties would care for that tho, staying handsome/sexy, but i think that they're too superstitious to eat fruits in the first place. And there are not many pirates who care to look good for the sake of it. But Logia is still a better deal than looking 20 all your life, I'd think.
