Im a guy who keeps his hair super short, so no, I don't need to spend much time to really get my hair clean besides a quick shampoo. Also, you don't need to do a super deep clean on hair every day. There's a small asian group in I think china that are known for being genetically able to grow hair much longer than normal which effectively means their hair stays attached longer.

There are 2 things that can cause that, either rare genetic ability or the hair becomes matted together making it look longer than it really is.
