7/10 nor grat, not terrible.
art is good and unique, story is pretty norm but with current anime plots it shines a bit.
sadly after the movie, story continues on the mobile game, like FGO.

it's a pity New Witstudio doesn't recover to their amazing quality. They ditched the old artstyle in this show and AoT for a cleaner and simple look. Did they change staff or something? It's still great but it's pale in comparison to their old work. Vinland Saga is a dissapointment, looks like something from Mappa.

Not the guy but while SnK has(or used to have) unique and complicated plot, I find the setting and characters repulsive for some reason. Kabaneri has dumb plot but comfy setting and cute characters. Also you type like a retard.

Thanks to Unato Kessen being released, Biba's storyline feels more of an arc than an ending now, so we can still look forward to a better conclusion.

SnK is depressing and feels really heavy to follow now. It's taking itself so seriously that it's story isn't much of an escape or a relaxing read.

Kabaneri while having its own dark moments, is much easier to digest. Story has light-hearted moments to ease the tension of their situation, and a sense of camaraderie that the crew of the Iron Fortress exudes that it makes you feel you'd fit in whoever you may be. It's a lot more hopeful and inspirational to follow.

Reason 1: Ikoma invents a gun capable of killing Zombies. This is supposed to be incredible and is played off as a breakthrough, but cue Biba and his band of faggots with their Gatling guns and motorcycles which completely invalidated any significance his invention had

Reason 2: Ikoma turned himself into a half-zombie thing. This could have been interesting if he was the only one, but as it turns out, not only is Mumei one, but Biba and his band of faggots are capable of making more whenever the fuck they want with magical plot serum and not only that, but creating big fuckoff conglomerates of zombies (Mecha director btw) which is incredibly stupid and not only reduces the significance of kabaneri, but makes the MC feel less significant to the plot, which is never a good thing.

Reason 3: Those fucking stupid zombie conglomerates.

Reason 4: The main villain is batshit insane and is the most retarded self-destructive example of "I'm evil because I'm evil" destroying villages for no good reason other than some esoteric form of revenge, which can be work, but it's unbelievable that he managed to form a group of dozens of people equally as retarded as him all bent on destroying the remaining human settlements for no real reason.

Reason 5: That scene where some faggot cuts a 5 inch diameter steel cable holding up a drawbridge capable of supporting the weight of a fucking train with a knife.

Reason 6: The entire ending and all its retarded kaiju bullshit.

Reason 7: When the train started tipping, they all ran to one side of the train and managed to make a difference, ignoring the fact that the train is several tons and the shifting weight would not have made the slightest difference. Also, they ripped off "Speed"

And that's just what I remember off the top of my head. I'm sure if I watched it again I could come out with plenty more points to prove how shit your taste is. But congratulations, you managed to make me waste my time explaining this.

This show is like a rip off of the bad part of attack on Titan which is pretty funny but the designs and animation were incredible (most of the time). Just made me wonder why the guy who did them doesn’t do modern macross/ get more jobs doing character designs in general because at one point he was even the gundam character designer.

His character designs were top notch that's for sure. Despite a fairly large cast nobody in Kabaneri had same face and was more or less unique and easily recognizable

There's a parallel scene in the second to last episode where MC resolves to throw away his humanity completely to save his hot pepper wife. Full circle kind of moment and re-affirms how hotblooded this hotblooded 80's still MC is (which is one of the cool AF strengths of this show)
