A lot of those broody / serious late nineties / early 00s movies like Metropolis, Jin-Roh, GitS, etc. come to mind, although I'm sure there's other contenders I'm forgetting.

always dropped at ep2

Tsukikage Ran, which sucked even harder cause of how nice the show looked and how well the fights were animated, but every episode was just boring as all fuck to actually watch.

Marvel movies are this way

Night on the Galactic Railroad

school days
girls bravo
escaflowne

You posted it.

it's not a bad anime but it really was boring as fuck and it made 4 episodes feel like 20
was extra disappointing because monogatari is my favourite anime franchise

GiTS was super fun. MetrĂ³polis did suck dick.

Wings of honneamise or boogiepop snorephantom

I came here to shit on your taste.
Gasaraki was a fun watch.

Bunny girl senpai

Tytania

It was wasted potential with garbage pacing and a terrible latter half.

Not only was tits not main girl, but the show was a total snooze fest. Ironic how I remember it despite how forgettable it was.

K-ON and utena

Key the Metal Idol is so painfully boring.

>make one of the slowest paced, boring, confusing and convoluted sci-fi pop idol plots of all time
>follow it up with two movies
>the first movie is literally just an hour and a half exposition dump of panning still shots while the cast argues and explains the true, secret background of the story and make everything more confusing
>second movie is supposed to be the dramatic climax but it still manages to be painfully boring
What the fuck were they thinking?

I really wanted to like Tweeny Witches, but my interest fizzled out quicker than anything I've seen before. Is there an arc you'd recommend trying to reach before giving up on it entirely?

Really? I've just started and I think it's fascinating. Maybe mecha shows are not for you.

Dropped - Acchi Kocchi and Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
Finished - Druaga no Tou, Samurai Flamenco, Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Granblue Fantasy and Buddy Complex

Serial Experiment Lain
I was too young and it entirely flew over my head.

Tedious, uninteresting plot filled with unlikeable characters I couldn't give a damn about, can't even remember which episode I dropped it

noir. great music, shit pacing

But you picked it up later right?

moon phase

Moon Phase and Dance in The Vampire Bund were both super boring to me, also they reminded me that I can't really relate to degenerates on Yea Forums anymore.

I only picked moon phase up because of the op but everything else about it was terrible.
Shaft just can't into plot.

The fuck do you mean, grandpa?

Nice stealth rec thread.

Some episodes of Aria were really like watching paint dry. Took me one and a half years to get just through season one.
