I don't get it, why didn't Eren let the others know about the Marley Invasion ahead of time? They would need government approval, but there's nothing that would cause the government to reject the plan. Eren knew of the WarHammer titan and the Anti-Paradis rally, so that would convince the Paradis government to go ahead with the invasion. Even if Eren didn't trust the government because of Historia matters, he could just use them for the time being.He wouldn't have to lose the trust of AMJSC and then they could just have a coup to dispose of the higher-ups. Manlet and Hange would probably be their enemies in this case, but I don't see this as being worse than the situation we have now.

That's a good way of putting it. There's no way Isayama was ever going to write a straight up romance in this story. Even when other characters have had feelings for each other, romantic elements have always been subordinate to the greater plot.
Add in how Isayama wanted Eren's motives to be ambiguous and it makes perfect sense for him to save the EH confirmation for flashbacks. It's not bad writing to obscure a character's intentions. It's Mystery Writing 101.

Signs point to it being a hard limit. The holders of the FT have presumably been subject to the curse for centuries. Surely someone before Eren would have tried to extend his own lifespan, if nothing else.
I could see Eren exploiting a loophole in the conditions of the curse, though. Like maybe creating a way to pass on the titan to another holder before the 13 years are up.

I really doubt it. Eren probably views his inevitable death as a suitable punishment for the actions he's taking right now. I don't expect him to try to save himself beyond accomplishing whatever it is he's planning.

I don't think so. We have to remember the author has consistently referenced germanic mythology. I basically picked this thing up just because it was a basic parabole, maybe even an origin myth of the mythology. Titans are Giants/Jötunn (root etunaz, translation: eater) with Ymir as the founder. Shapeshifters is another description for Odin and the other gods (Armin for example fits the description of Loki like an ace).
The whole path thing is huge in germanic mythology as well, called Erberinnerung and Volksgeist (heritage memory and peoples spirit). Essentially, the mythology goes that if you have control of the Volksgeist you can communicate with the entire people (all who existed in the path, the present, and the future) and control them.
So translated to the manga this means that probably the vow by Karl Fritz is just that when he had control of the pathes he changed the mentality of the entire people through his will and thus the curse lives on. But this does not mean that another will not be able to change things again if he has a stronger will (common trope that the protagonist is defined through his will and in the end defeats the will of someone former, compare Gurren Lagann, had pretty much an exact copy of that situation).

To give this child a concrete and real family with a father around him/her even though Historia seems to despise farmer-kun she will in any case be safe around him, but it would also mean this child isn’t born out of love but for the sake of some plan which seems an important thematic OR to have a child with Historia, someone she actually appreciates, truly cares about her, but the baby won’t have his/her father around him/her and Historia will have to take care of this child alone.
If we find the answer to this question we might actually find the definitive answer to the “who is the baby daddy”w
