Episode 9
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files
>While giving the gravely wounded Lord El-Melloi II an arduous treatment, Gray and the others harbor doubts about the existence of a Servant whose Master is nowhere to be seen.
>Shishigou and Luvia continue their investigation in London, where they visit Jean-Mario Supinerra and inquire about a serial murder that took place seven years ago.
>The respite is momentary, as the course of the Rail Zeppelin has been altered, and the train plunges into a Dead Apostle Forest – the Child of Einnashe.
>Gray, worried about the weakened Lord El-Melloi, decides to assist Karabo's group that is acting to correct the train's progress. >Furthermore, Melvin, who has boarded Rail Zeppelin after hearing of rumors, joins the entourage.
>Olga Marie, barricading her lonely self after refusing to help Gray, finds a 'certain something' in her own room.
So vampire forests this week.
>Supinerra
Aniplex translations at work again.
I've always wondered, but is it possible to make this kind of expression without some kind of stroke or facial paralysis?
>Dead Apostle Forest – the Child of Einnashe
Finally
yes it’s called raising your eyebrow
30 minutes.
Imagine how much faster it would be solving everything with Sherlock on the case.
Alex’s servants shouldn’t be fighting one another
Did this cunt learn nothing from the Wars of the Diadochi
She hates the Diadochi actually.
5 minutes to Waver and Olga's anime. And that one Saberface.
Sherlock would wait until the very last moment to solve the thing. He is the worst in that sense.
And yet she repeats their mistakes, Macedonia could have been an empire, instead it was gobbled up by Rome
Starting.
Who is Rule63Iskander's voice? It sounds familiar.
So that's how you pronounce Einnashe. Always pronounced it something like In-Ae-She in my head instead of Ain-Ash.
Oh shit, they just got turned into fertilizer.
>that fucking gunslinger in the middle of a cooking show
What the fuck is going on?
Ohoho and Liongo time.
Horriblesubs soon
>Yo...
>spits blood
Man, that priest has got a tiny head.
Lewd.
>Olga Marie, barricading her lonely self after refusing to help Gray, finds a 'certain something' in her own room.
Is she gonna die AGAIN?!
Oh, from the thumbnail I thought that was Olga getting you-know-what
Oh, she can set things on fire with that eye?
Murdered in coldblood?
Also, this is some really awkward looking black key throwing, like he's just lobbing them.
the cutest!
Don't click here
You don't know about Jean Mario Spinella Zombie Cooking Show?
Olga suffering!
Huh, it can turn into a hammer?
That the clown from Maou-sama?
The doctor is up to her old tricks I see
It can turn into a lot of stuff actualy.
gawd I am getting a young Kate O'Mara vibe with that raven haired girl
ED
That's because the romanization is broken "Ainnash" is clearer
I like that way of showing how a Imaginary Number pocket dimension looks.
Hammer, shield, boomerang and scythe.
END
The Animusphere having hebrew magecraft makes a lot of sense actually.
haven't watched it yet, but this series is basically for the quality faps, right?
>Sealing Mystic Code Release C
>The Sealing Mystic Code, Add in Gray's possession is not limited only to sealing the Holy Lance; depending on the situation, by performing a special release, it can transform into various forms.
Why though? The Animusphere are specialized in cosmology, and the hebrews aren't known for their extensive astrological knowledge. Babylonians, or even greco-romans, would be much better fits.
Chaldea has definitely an Akkadian name, but I meant because of the whole Solomon connection.
The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order Finis Chaldea
So Olga's Magic Crest it's in her forehead.
Oh that. Yeah they should also have some knowledge regarding goetian magic too (even though the ars goetia was still mostly greek and not hebrew.)
>shoot here
Does she put her head in the jar?
i started watching this show for cute reines and gray but got bored after 3 episodes. has it gotten interesting or still slow?
So that's why she needs an airstrip sized forehead
Not sure whether she's inherited the crest already since Marisbury's alive but remember episode 2?
So they ended up taking him off the train after all. That's an interesting choice.
Why does she look so much better than the other saber clones?
Because she is well-written and actually has a real character. Also she's super cute. I really hope they adapt the rest of the novels. The part where they go back to her village is great.
>The part where they go back to her village is great.
When is this anyway? I feel like they have to add her backstory here it would be weird animating this without telling anime onlys who she even actually is.
It's books 6 and 7. Her backstory has a lot of twists to it that are relevant to the overall plot so if they adapt those it would have to be in a season 2 or something.
The arc after this one. The events on the Rail zepplin forces waver to go back to Gray's village and her full back story will be revealed then. Even the novel is written this way. Vol 6 and 7 is gray 's story and the anime is only adapting vol 4 and 5.
Him being in the train it was always kind of flimsy.
He really didn't do much, so it makes sense since they are actually showing the side plot line and not offscreening it.
Because she is grayt
Le Chien please
Well, new episode is out
Crests are inherited in a very slow process. She probably has a part of it now.
Made before the episode, but based Shiseki Hirame.
>seiyuu makes sure to pronounce it correctly as Spinella
>Aniplex still makes up a stupid surname
Why are Aniplex subs such a mistake?
Is she always that bitchy?
Being a member of Policies and having to deal with Scotland Yard, the MI5 and the Holy Church at the same time has to be some fun shit.
I hope it will turn out to be split cours.
Kek
So the antagonist summoned a portion of Einnashe's forest so that Olga would find the severed head and whatever was with it. Did I get that right? I haven't read the books.
>the massive space between apostrophes and the next letter
How did they do that?
It was more like leading the train to the portion of Einnashe that was already there.
Loli Olga is cute and did nothing wrong!
How did he survive the crash?
This idiotic shit is even worse.
The Dead Apostle Forest is not the same as the Forest of Dead Apostles. It's not a forest for vampires, it's a vampire forest.
He is a decent mage, surviving a crash should not be that hard. The problem was the forest itself.
Waiting.
>misunderstanding the の particle
This is amateur hour t/l quality.
The 'how' isn't important, what really matters here is the 'why'
No it should be hard. Kayneth can't survive the fall from exploding skyscraper without VH.
Hope anime only people know what a Dead Apsotle is, have they even been mentioned in Zero or UBW?
In the Fate/Zero novel Tokiomi says that jumping from Vimana to the ground hundred of meters it's an easy job for a mage. And he is supposed to be very average. So blame Urobuchi for being inconsistent.
Putting aside all magic, it's easier to survive an aircraft crash than it is jumping out of a building in real life.
Duh.
They were explained in the Zero anime yeah.
>building
I should clarify I mean a skyscraper here of course.
There's a small difference between controlled gliding and OH FUCK THERE'S A VAMPIRE FOREST AND MY HELICOPTER JUST EXPLODED.
Grey for (Me).
I think Marisbury definitively thinks he's got it in the bag with his plans, and hasn't passed down the crest at all.
Or maybe he gave her parts he doesn't care about. That would be totally like him.
Is that a mandala shape?
Could kotomine kill the old nigro
It's just a dramatized showing. Forest tentacles fucked up his helicopter but he was relatively close to ground anyway plus snow would cushion a fall plus he's pretty good at magic so it's really not much of a stretch. It's not like he got sniped way up in the air or something.
>even in another timeline Olga's constantly being bullied
kek
I'd bang her tho
yeah not like most people will remember the details of that part. Grantee most anime only watchers arent gonna connect " zombies" to vampire/ dead apostles and whatever.
Probably, the old guy has to throw his black keys in this weird ass way where he uses his whole arm, meanwhile Kotomine just flicks and they fly at you at mach speed.
Kotomine in his prime probably could but not Kotomine in F/SN (which is about the same time period Case Files takes place). Black man has past sight so he would know that about Kotomine's "not actually having a heart" gimmick.
on Yea Forums, often those who complain first and loudest about t/l quality know the least Japanese
Olga is a top cutie. Does she end up lusting after the Waver D as well?
Why is she being so seductive for a brat?
Tell me about the forest. What's its backstory?
I think it's like Aoko's magic circles and it's supposed to represent a very stylized astronomical chart.
It doesn't matter though. Kotomine not having a heart only means that he can't survive without Angry Manjew's mana, is dependent on it (which is why Sakura demolishes his heart easily from a distance) and why he was able to outsmart True Assassin.
IIRC it's a forest that had a dead apostle died in it, and the forest somehow absorbed it's blood and became a vampire forest or something.
Maybe he wouldn't considering how his mystic eyes are inconsistent. And besides what good knowing that would even do to him? Kirei is still freakishly strong for a human, even in F/SN
Arcueid created the main body by accident. Silly Arc.
In a straight up fight? They're both past their prime years so pretty even. But Kotomine rarely ever fights fairly unless its against Shirou during the climax of VN.
Why is animesphere such a bitch?
That beard doen‘t look too good on Ladd Russo.
Karabo is very old but he is still quite strong.
Well I wasn't the first nor do I think I was the loudest so I'm not sure what you're implying?
Who thought Christmas tree is a good idea?
Isn't it a tweaked summoning circle?
You faggots better keep in mind Kotomine was able to keep up with a servant in Heaven's Feel.
And he's a human.
And he knows bajiquan that he can augment with magic, and it's not like priests learn that shit.
Evil forest. That's pretty straightforward.
Where's this from? Please don't say FGO
Karabo is fucking strong though. I think his mystic eyes give him more of an advantage in combat because he would understand more about Kotomine's style as well as his secrets. For instance knowing about the heart thing ensures that he wouldn't fall for trick like True Assassin did (aiming for the heart is natural in any combat situation). It's true that his eyes are inconsistent, but they to tend to alert him of danger so it should be useful.
>get to see that vampire forest that Shiki and Arc go to in that prelude short story
This show is so fucking neat
No, Aoko's sigils are supposed to represent the planet's orbits and stuff like that. She is an astromancer too.
No
Please no
Don't
If you hit his heart Kotomine will still die like any other person.
Is Arc still around in the Fate Timeline?
No one can stop this train now!
>Where's this from? Please don't say FGO
That's from Talk and Kagetsu Tohya. That predates even FSN.
TAs are still extinct so yes.
We can only hope so.
Someone give me a rundown on Aoko. She's basically the strongest human in the Nasuverse right?
Did Gray make use of time when Waver was unconscious?
I didn't expect this
Probably. We know that Roa never met her though.
These types of powerlevel discussion shouldn't really apply. It's like saying a soldier with body-armor and a bazooka is stronger than a regular person with a handgun. Sure, but that regular person could still kill the soldier if the situation is right. This is more so true with magi.
That's pretty good sprite art.
Redshift Aoko is super strong but maybe Ciel would be the strongest human? I dunno.
Arc was wary enough of Aoko because if Miss Blue uses her True Magic, she would be able to win even against her.
Make use of her time doing what?
The adaptation is ok so far, however, if UFOTABLE had adapted each novel as a movie it would have been much better.
Guess what!
Not necessarily? Dantes' CD drama might be in a different from FGO timeline.
How do these two go together?
>UFOTABLE
I don't trust their adaptions anymore although Fate/Cooking was surprisingly good.
Yeah but Nasu talked about it in his blog later and the way he was talking about made it seem as if in Fate, that's what happened to Roa Tarantella.
I meant Arc still killed them.
I meant these two.
its from melty blood off steam..
Frying pan?
That's a good point. Do we know that they're extinct and not just hiding like regular fairies would be?
Thanks, user. I always wanted that little bit. I don't know if it's good animation, but for me all those subtle expression before the smile are really powerful.
Roa met Arc 700 years ago. For some reason that "fateful meeting" never happened.
If you banged Gray, would you be lying if you kept saying that you fucked King Arthur
>According to Sanda the location of Olga's Magic Crest was a lore tidbit straight from TYPE-MOON.
So he can give girls musical orgasms without fucking them?
It was said they are persecuted by the Church and can't live in the normal world anymore, but I don't think it was said they are extinct.
I hope they choose to continue adapting the books until the end. I hope all it needs is to sell well.
Aoko would wreck a lot of mages but there are some mages, especially the very speciaized in their craft who would definitly massacre her.
depends, right now gray is not a 100% clone. you have to wait till after the 5th grail war where she is 100% genetically identical to Saber.
Church is absolutely based.
Church point of view VN please, nasu.
The Church is pretty underrepresented in the Nasuverse. It's a crime because they're cool. I want to see heretics burn.
>melty blood
How much Tsukihime do I need to know for this? Is the anime sufficient?
オルガマリーの反応してる髪や、魔術刻印の位置はタイプムーンさんから今回のために設定をいただいたのですが、僕も「魔術刻印そこだったの!」と驚いた次第。
Yeah, he said this on twitter. And now that I see it, the priestess has something too on the forehead.
What anime?
Well, he got killed by Edmond Dantes in Fate anyway so who cares?
>the anime
Because the way he was in that Drama CD was a direct result of him never meeting Arc. It's adressed in the Drama CD itself and Nasu also mentioned it in his blog.
>The adaptation is ok so far, however, if UFOTABLE had adapted each novel as a movie it would have been much better.
TROYCA is doing a fine job, and Ei Aoki is supervising the whole thing so he knows how to deal with the TYPE MOON stuff
>Church are the good guys and God 100% exists in the setting
You don't see that often in Japanese media
Something related with the Hassans would be cool.
I would say well-intentioned extremists more than "good guys" but yeah.
The point being made was about TAs in general. Roa tricked Arc and stole some of her power which made her go berserk and kill TAs(this is also why Fate Roa is weaker). This doesn't happen if they never meet. I think people are overthinking this though. Somebody else could have killed Einnashe.
She's 11.
Her different eye colors are sexy.
She's hot.
>God 100% exists in the setting
He should take better care of his grail then. Thing is constantly corrupted.
Grey and Olga were very cute this episode.
As was Adashiri
that's fine
Hephastion gave me a boner.
Underrated girl.
Why does Adashino know where the head was stored?
Yes and?
This. Her design is too good.
I don't know but that snake bitch has been pissing me off for a long time, I'm tired of that naruto-tier shit in my nasuverse and her stupid ass smug smile. I hope she fucking dies, and I'd give her two origin bullets instead of one.
So the priest was dead all along?
Who's going to protect Olga when everybody is down or busy?
Studio BB should make a Holy Church based action game for hunting heretics.
How can the fake old priest use the black keys?
>look, I'm better than those "anime only people", but I don't even remember Dead Apostles actually appeared in Fate/Zero
Both in anime and the light novel itself, so you have nothing, wannabe primary.
It wasn't that she actually knew for sure, but she knew it was a possibility because Trisha has imaginary numbers as an affinity.
Dumb bitch should protect herself like she said she was going to do.
Her good friend Lev ofc.
That's prime.
>Church are the good guys
Ever heard about the Eighth Sacrament?
>God 100% exists in the setting
That is a more complicated matter than just "100% exists".
Someone cum in in her Tyrants Eye or did the stars align?
But why kill herself off? Here eyes would be more useful alive. Unless this is the only way for it to work.
No he was the investigator in the old serial murder case they've been talking about.
>spoiler
I don't understand what you mean.
Blackmore is dead
Roa's soul got incinerated and 100% dead
Zelrecht doing magician things
Zepia is shilling in Atlas
Rita is hiding from Touko
Primate Murder is a cute dog
what else?
Oh my bad. Thanks good user. Me no read well.
Snake lady is eating Japanese snacks.
The attention to detail is amazing.
don't lewd gray ever again
Einnashe is still chilling and having kids.
>cool battle priests
>freaks of nature spec ops unit
>bunch of magical wmd hidden in Vatican
>collecting false Grails is part of normal workday
>hot anime nuns
>friendly neighborood DAA watching soap operas with you
>killing filthy heretic magus before breakfast
Church anime when
That's actually a plot point for the next episode.
Basically her future sight saw her own death and there was no way at all to escape it. So instead she decapitated her head and sealed it into the imaginary numbers space in hopes that Olga would find it so she could pass on a dying message to her.
Oh. That is sad.
Thanks user.
Don't forget murder meganes with short blue hair that have a fucking holy sacrament with them that looks like a pneumatic gun
Curry sempai is unique! Not everyone gets their own ciel.
So Waver mentioned Invocation magecraft. Wouldn't overriding somebody with a HS be a better way to have a Servant? Especially when we have multiple cases of homunculi being able to fuse with HS and even divine spirits
Too bad we'll be more likely to get to get another shitty extra anime.
Altrogue is probably dead if she has no PM guard dog and Roa didn't steal away most of Arc's power, but there's been no mentions of her.
Because an edgey shitstain who excused his violent life with dreams of a kiddie fantasy world was so much better.
Never
youtu.be
I just used a random image from my Fate folder, I don't really care about Kiritsugu that much, he's a retard and gets what he deserves in the end. At least he was able to chill out before he died.
>Blackmore is dead
fug
The image user posted is pretty clearly mocking Kerry anyway.
The other guy brought up TAs though. It's not clear if Arc did to them in Fate what she did to them in Tsukihime and more likely is like the other guy said and they were hunted down throughout the ages(like Yu Meiren/Hinako).
That's what he gets for not having a birb face instead of a saber face.
You're right, too old.
Ciel would be a fun MC.
>godly magic potential
>knowledge obtained from Roa
>deep issues with using magecraft
>immortal but suicidal
>very deep psychological scars
>best ass in Nasuverse
his decedent is the village elder for gray's clan. He is a major character in the next arc.
Well, we don't know if Arcueid exists in Fate as well as Crimson Moon, so if no Crimson Moon, no Arcueid or Altrouge.
Remember that magecraft can also make you into Dead Apostle, True Ancestors are not specifically needed.
>no Crimson Moon
Hell, that would be weird, considering he's the brand's namesake.
At the very least, there's definitely no Crimson Moon in any FateExtra related timelines and why BB is the namesake for their spinoff studio.
Cant wait for gray to call on the Boy band of the Round table to put this bitch in her place.
They should just rename themselves Seibaface Inc.
Marisbilly refers to Hinako as a "one of the few remaining flowers of the moon still on the surface, an elemental of Gaia divided from this planet". Her profile then evens state that she's slightly different from what the Mage's Association means by True Ancestor. All of this sort of implies that everything with TAs and Crimson Moon is 100% the same.
Unless TAs can be connected to the moon without Crimson Moon of course.
bedi seems quite nonplussed with this
Ruler Adam when?
He doesn't look too confused though.
Huh? Wasn't it said in her later profile that Consort Yu is different from the TA from Tsukihime since she's a vampiric elemental 100% from Earth? She only get labeled as a TA because the Association can't tell the difference.
And have another cardboard MC like Sieg? No thanks i prefer interesting characters.
I'm not saying she's a TA like Arc. I'm saying his description of her with the addition of the clarification in her profile imply that True Ancestor(真祖) usually means in Fate what it means in Tsukihime. Which implies Crimson Moon. There's also the reference to countering the moon fall that Zel did against CM in FSN proper(When Rin is trying to get Shirou to make the gem sword). It just seems reasonable to assume things are the same unless specified than to assume things are different unless specified is what I'm saying.
they are answering the call from the lance or their king why would they be bothered.
am i the only one who cant wait for magical
murder mystery adventures that gray and her mother is going to have with Waver next arc?
Well, like said, Crimson Moon doesn't exist in Fate/Extra, he could have existed in some timelines but it's only pure speculation at this point, remember that Human History is the main focus in Fate.
Arc killed a vampire under a tree that eats/absorbs animal blood.
The tree became a vampire monster and fused with the forest.
Bam, Demon Forest
My point is that it's not pure speculation. Both FSN and FGO imply that in their own way that CM is common knowledge among magi(or whatever is the spectrum of highlevel-ness between Rin and Marisbilly). One with the gem sword and the other with Marisbilly's description of Hinako as well as how Da Vinci reacts to her and Hinako's profile. Extra explicitly can't have had CM so it makes sense that he either died real quick off-screen or was never a thing there. Although I'm not sure that Arc is a thing in Fate and I'm pretty sure that somebody else could have killed Einnashe in Fate to create the forest. It's not some major detail.
Man that was a great episode.
Melvin was hilarious as always. Seeing a child of Ainnash was great.
Faker is kinda shit though, I was hoping the one Servant they shove into this series wouldn't be the worst part of it but looks like that may be the case (Kay doesn't count).
This but only if it's in a Tsukihime world where you fight magi, Dead Apostles and maybe even a couple of DAAs.
No need to get Servant shit involved in a Church game.
>Faker is kinda shit though
She gets more characterization soon and should become more likeable. Or at least she did for me anyway.
doesn't that already happen all the time in f/go?
I agree, she's a mediocre heroine but would be a pretty fucking sick protagonist with all her inner issues and bitchy side.
And if they made a game with her as lead instead, she has a huge variety of fighting styles and could learn magic too.
Hope so. Maybe her fight with Gray next episode will have actual animation too.
Only really happened with Mashu, pseudo-Servants are a different concept where the HS posesses the human.
I fucking hate the whole concept though and how much FGOshit abuses it.
Mana transfer.
Rin should have explained that to you.
>actual animation
If we are going to get that, it would be during the final battle. Troyca's art quality is fine, but clearly it's not really a high budget adaptation.
>Troyca's art quality is fin
They use way too much CG. Sure, they slap decent textures onto it, but still looks sterile most of the time.
We need more fashionable Gray!
She looks better with the hood on.
I would ask her to wear it in bed too.
so i started watching garden of sinners, its kinda boring. when does it get better?
If you don't like the second movie, which is undeniably excellent, there's no hope for you.
>second movie, which is undeniably excellent
First one is the best out of them all.
For me the best part of Faker is the relationship she has with Heartless in the last arc.
Now that's an edgy opinion.
It doesn't, drop it. And don't come back here.
I want her to completely drain my testicles of semen
i mean it's cool it's visualizing a lot of real old stuff, but fuck me the mystery/murder aspect is one of the worst i've seen in a long while. it makes umineko look amazing
>mystery/murder aspect
That's just setting/flavor. It's not really a much of a mystery in terms of the genre.
This episode was rather hard to enjoy, even though I liked the idea of the things happening. I'll leave aside that Jean-Mario and Yvette's voiceacting pisses me off as that just kind of tends to be the thing with japanese attempts at engrish/flamboyancy, and instead focus on a couple things.
1) The forest was neat, but it came out of nowhere and I find the presentation for it was very lacking. It needed to be more ominous imo, and maybe a slightly more detailed explanation as to how it manifested here and what it's deal, they didn't manage to sell me the idea of it. If you're about to say that it would be too much exposition, then I'd like to redirect you to:
2) Olga Marie fucking talking to herself nonstop for an entire scene. I suppose this was all part of the narration in the LN? I just wish they had found a way to convey the information with a fraction of the talking (her stopping her own fall with a Mercury sign which aligns with her hands/upper torso was neat, for example)
Tell me LNfags, was the forest butchered here? Because it really feels like it was. After the three rando mages got shanked it just lacked any sense of menace, and it honestly felt more like filler than the actual filler episodes.
Also I'm surprised I actually enjoyed Yvette in action. The fire eye dropping alchemical symbols was sweet, and so were the transitons between different eyes.
Don't trip too much on nasuverse lore. FGO has shown that they'll just retcon or add/kill off things on a whim for the sake of FGO.
Kerry's dad was literally doing DA research.
>FGO
It will never be canon in my heart.
>kairi is a manlet
Sasuga's mo san's master
>he trusts Troyca
I miss 2014.
It's almost as if there're multiple timelines or something.
>Tell me LNfags, was the forest butchered here? Because it really feels like it was. After the three rando mages got shanked it just lacked any sense of menace, and it honestly felt more like filler than the actual filler episodes.
It's hard for me to really judge because I can't remember what was actually said in the show and what I just remember from the books. I didn't think it appeared out of nowhere though. I'm pretty sure they've mentioned it before a couple of previous episodes. The mages dying was a little silly and a lame way to show it was dangerous though. I agree with that. They could have thought that one through better.
>Olga Marie fucking talking to herself nonstop for an entire scene
I honestly am not sure what you mean by this. The scene with Gray and Caules? I mean she does must of the talking there, but it's not only just her.
>getting the girls wet by just playing violin
It's not fair bros
AKA an excuse to write whatever bullshit you want and not have to commit to any sort of internal consistency or logic. Thanks Nasu.
Time to buy a violin.
So cool!
Non shit violins are really expensive.
Drying pan!
Altrouge is doing cute dead apostle things somewhere
You can keep yelling retcon on every corner. Shame you have no reading comprehension.
>Can make all female magus within earshot of him climax by playing five seconds of violin music
>Doesn't even care because he's waversexual
Based.
>defending FGO writing
You're not really this guy are you?
Oh no no no, please tell me Olga won't met the same fate as in the not canon game.
I don't know why the nips love their stage dramas so much but 3D will always be PD.
I'm a couple episodes behind but did anoyne else notice adashino's lips look perfect for sucking dick?
Someone can think your statement is wrong and also dislike FGO.
This strand of hair in the middle really doesn't work for 3d.
Gray's lips look great in some scenes too, but yeah Adashino probably has the best DSL
Not cute enough!
>>he trusts Troyca
Bloom into You was damn good. I guess the otome peeps also like Idolish 7, but that was due to the previous fanbase
Will next episode show her caressing her head?
they can make pretty backgrounds.
the rest is up to the writers and directors.
>I honestly am not sure what you mean by this. The scene with Gray and Caules? I mean she does must of the talking there, but it's not only just her.
Pretty sure user is talking about near the end of the episode just before Adashino comes in.
same shit with cape comics. type-moon is the DC of anime
Isn't Faker a pretty mediocre-weak Servant all around because of her class? And only a threat because there's no other Servants in the story?
>no contacts
might work if it were a tiny bit fluffier, less gelled
Fuck capeshit and fuck FGO
Oh yeah that. Okay that was a little excessive yeah.
Blame Hepburn that dumb cunt.
I just pronounce it as I would the german words "Ein" and "Asche"
Why does Pink hair have to exist?
For me to fap to
But Gray Rhinoes are almost extinct!
Because some people wouldn't figure out Waver attracts weirdos without her.
Watch the fifth movie, then make a post on Yea Forums "What the fuck did I just watch?"
As much as I'm enjoying the magical and investigative aspects of the series, I found the forest part of the episode uninspiring. The idea of a vampiric forest is cool in principle, but I thought it was pretty poorly done from visually. Maybe it would be better if it was more foreboding and had a larger variety of environments and attacks.
>autistic country bumpkin that uses archaic language
>sadistic loli with a terminator maid
>some creepy fag with ungodly amounts of money
>a god tier magical genius that doesn't give a fuck about magic
>another god tier magical genius that was actually unstable and on the verge of going full bestial
>a pink haired weirdo with one fake eye that can be swapped out
Waver's classroom is fun.
What is the purpose of this character?
Fapservice.
It's not really a fair comparison from a powerlevel standpoint since she has true magic. Ignoring her reality hax with that, she's mediocre at everything except destroying things. Any of the other magicians would probably be capable of handling her in a fight, although how human any of them even are anymore is up for debate. Zelretch is certainly stronger from a physical standpoint, but he's a dead apostle now. Whoever the 3rd was is dead, and Justeaze is currently acting as a very large cup, but in her prime she was still considered frail, so Aoko could probably take her.
My dick
She's still mad about her onii-chan stealing Iskandar, you have a pretty good chance.
For the love of Nasu, let us be able to save her. A design as good as Olga's doesn't deserve to be wasted.
Unironically to add a bit of levity to the series since every other character in the train is always super serious
>immortal but suicidal
Is she still immortal after Roa got Shiki-ed?
Pretty sure she's supposed to lose it after Roa dies since there's no contradiction for the world to fix.
Too bad her personality is trash and ruins the design.
Where is my man Nrvnqsr Chaos
It’s a shame too because it’s one of the most terrifying things in the setting. It’s a massive moving murderforest that rolls in and eats towns of people. Mages are screwed in it because it has control over the mana in its domain so you can only use your old. It also has a ridiculous amount of energy stockpiles and every inch of it is trying to kill you while the atmosphere itself is bloodthirsty and oppressive.
She ends up keeping it, although it’s nerfed. It’s a mystery and sort of a sequel plot point hook. That said she’s bullied because even with her Roa magic, immortality and super weapon she’s considered the weakest fighter among the Burial Agents. Isn’t it sad Ciel?
A vampire forest sounds and looks dumb.
To be fair, we're dealing with mages where one is crazier than the next. It's a bit difficult to tell what passes as normal among them.
Shiki killed it.
How can one girl be King Arthur and Little Red Riding Hood at the same time?
>It's a bit difficult to tell what passes as normal among them.
Rin is by far the most normal one
Killing things is what he does. That and suppressing Roa in the ass.
I think is possible, just need to train your face muscles
The base is probably the German word "Einäschern", which means incinerate.
And because she knows AoG magecraft.
Does Roa reincarnate as Ciel in Fate timelines and she works for burial agency because of that too?
You will see later.
She is the accomplice.
If Roa really does get killed by Dantes in all Fate timelines, there's no way that should be happening, so Roa should be gone long before her time.
Maybe her town gets wiped by some unrelated DA attack and a Church member just picks her up.
good she deserves to be bullied. shitty fucking currybutt
I wanna believe he's spending his time chilling around, making trips to Africa and the like to expand his animal photo album.
Oh, maybe he died in the crusades in Fate timelines. I feel like I remember someone mentioning fighting someone or something similar to him in that time period.
A question, now that it got mentioned.
So alright, DAAs aren't a thing in Fate timelines, sure, but then that shouldn't have an effect on the Burial Agency, right? Wouldn't they be just as strong as before but with less broken super vampires around to even things out? The balance of power seems knda off here.
Well, two members of the Burial are directly related to the DAA.
Still the Clock Tower still has the Barthomeloi in Fate and Lorelei hunted DAA in Tsukihime.
All DA's were stirring shit up during the crusades. nrvnsqr was in the first one so maybe. More likely than not they just haven't mentioned him yet and he's probably fucking off somewhere
Gray/White hair >>>>> Blonde hair
Also a far superiour artstyle to Takeuchis.
Even if the organization isn't a thing, Elder Dead Apostles are still a thing, and so are Dead Apostles of all sorts.
Beyond Dead Apostles the Agency would likely be busy dealing with other weird things. Whether it be vampires that aren't dead apostles that are considered a threat, mysteries that are considered a threat like some of the phantasmal species that linger like Oni and Giants. Or making sure that demons never come into existence, or exorcising them in the case of Mister Dawn. But he's also the only person who's been able to deal with True Demons in the entire history of the world. I imagine they have more vacation time in Fate timelines however.
While the Church has a lot of other arms like the Executors and Exorcists... their greatest power is honestly in the Agency (the super elite) and the Knight Orders (the normal elites). Kotomine is a top tier Executor but he'll be a bit inadequate in comparison to people like Roastbeef.
Grey as a gravekeeper and Add is very focused against spirits. But honestly a Knight Templar Captain would probably fuck up ghosts harder and faster than her.
Despite all of this and anti-magus doctrines the Church isn't something that can overpower the Western Mage Association and the balance of power is probably slanted more towards mages in Fate worlds? Both sides are actually incredibly strong and you only scratch the surface of it in Fate stuff.
In the end the balance is loosely kept in check by the three factions of Mages, Dead Apostles and Church.
She honestly looks way older than 11 in this anime.
Why were they stirring shit up during the crusades?
It's still the biggest mystery how the 3rd magician lost his fucking True Magic so that the Einzberns had to rediscover it
Arcueid doesn't go to the forest. Only Shiki does.
It's not a mystery. The Einzbern Magician never used his Magic and never passed it on. He took it with him to the grave.
GAY FOR YOU
GAY FOR ME
Is Waver donating his sperm in order to pay his debt?
It's not a donation, it's extortion.
No, he would also sell his hair if that was the case. He stockpiles it in bottles of mountain dew for personal use.
Get them young before Cosmic Anomaly gets them.
That's all I say.
>and people say fgo is not canon
>Needs an A++ Anti-Fortress NP to beat one faker
Loser.
Gray can summon KotR knights as well?
It's a visual representation of Add unsealing the Restraints of the Round Table.
"Lost" might not be the word for it, since 3rd magic is spiritual magic fuckery. The Magus might actually be "alive", but as Spiritrons or some shit (he's not an undead), Fuck he might be the reason [Heaven's Feel] is even acheivable at all and Justeze is the only one in his family he could actually TRUST with it's power once she reached him/The Root.
>extortion
Who would want a third-rate magus seed, unless its free? Maybe normal people if you tell them its from a college professor..
So all of his students?
I want to put babies into the one eyed pink haired cutie.
Gray a cute.
I thought her eye was only used to read emotions, but instead it has a whole selection of spells stored in it?
Wasn't Kotomine using Command Seals to buff his overall strength, though?
She can change the gem in the eye to get different effects.
He was using them as both a mana source and ablative armour against origin bullets
Meant for
Different timelines have been a thing ever since Fate/stay night. Fate, UBW and HF are all of different timelines, what is your problem with it?
Nigga different timelines have been around since Plus-Disc.
Yeah and why do you have a problem with different timelines then?
>Kay, Agravain, and Bedivere
Patrician taste
This is going to take a while to improve.
Who's Chardin?
Waver's substitute teacher when he is not around.
Sweet. You gonna ask the anime newcomers from this show? The ones from episodes 2 to 5.
It kinda feels like a waste that this anime with all its original content didn't bother to show him.
There's a massive difference between having different routes in a VN and the retarded pruning shit.
>Roa accidentaly into a war zone
>starts wrecking shit left and right with impunity
>this is fun as fuck
>another DA decides to do the same
>he is stopped by Richard Lionhearth and Saladin after they sign a truce
>DAs stop going into war zones

Phenomenal
Also, I still laugh every time I see the faculty of Archaeology.
Yeah, but I'm not so sure with Fernando Lee. He is presented as an Spiritual Evocationist but also acts as if he is a member of Astromancy and talks about the Animusphere as the main family.
Since there are no translations of this arc in the novel, I assume Waver's one scene in this episode talking about possession is clearly meant to make a point about Gray's whole existence and the purpose of her birth, right? Not a bad approach to give another angle to heroic spirits (I know about demiservants but fuck that shit), it's just a shame that it has to be presented next to the classic and tired Grail servant system.
He's solidly a necromancer, so put him in Evocation. He was simply a friend of the other guy and talked about the main family because they had the final word of that case since they own the Branch. It's similar to how Orlock was a butterfly magic dude but was friends with a crest tuner.
Actually, wouldn't Orlock fit into Zoology while we're at it?
Also, just asking for your own safety, but you're limiting yourself to the primary colors, right?
Yeah but I would wait for the Case Files Material to see if there it's said if Orlock is from Zoology. Also I think Nasu said in the Q&A of HF2 that Zouken was Curses?
And I'm also adding th composite colors, thank god I'm an user right?
How about a category for independents for completion's sake? Basically a section dedicated to magi who aren't part of the Association in any capacity. Also categories for Wandering Sea and Atlas.
This is a fucking terrible murder mystery. Everything is solved with random magical rules that are impossible to know beforehand, even if you know the "lore".
>that doesn't give a fuck about magic
wait who is this?
Yeah, I was thinking about adding a section for freelancers like Kairi or Kerry too.
kiritsugu would have a field day with her, short one too if shes going to make his life easier
Remember that Rin becomes an independent after the UBW anime.
Why?
Flat. His personality is the polar opposite of a proper magus but his raw talent is insane.
If I repeat people and differentiate stuff by routes this would grow so big and complex it would not make any sense.
There's enough information to guess who the culprit is right now although not enough detail to know how exactly he went about it.
I don't think it would make that much of a difference. Tsukihime and Fate are the only multi-route VNs, unless you count Melty Blood. Tsukihime isn't relevant to this and in Fate, Shirou's basically independent in all three routes. He goes there to study for a few years, but he always leaves, except in Heaven's Feel where he doesn't enter at all. Sakura remains independent in all three routes as well. Rin's the only one affected by the differences in routes.
Dunno about the Q&A but the Zouken bit sounds solid enough. Command seals can easily be said to be curses put on a servant.
>thank god I'm an user right?
Godspeed deadmeat-kun
Sounds good, and it's not like they'd take too much space since there's a handful of them. Don't forget Flue.
>Command seals can easily be said to be curses put on a servant.
Pretty sure this is literal lore.
Quintinary here, why is Flat so strong?
All Clocktower mages are independant though, no? Everyone who goes there either gets involved in politics or fucks off to do their research, returning on ocassion for business or not at all.
The real distinction should be Magi and spellcasters based on presence or lack of Root autism. Then again, I don't know where that leaves the likes of Seigen.
He's from a very old magus bloodline and won the genetic lottery.
You know how Magus bloodlines work for countless generations increasing their magecraft? After enough time has passed they are able to reach the route to acquire bullshit true magic, or bullshit enough rituals that will let them reach the Root. See, for example, Araya's fun house or the fucking Heaven's Feel itself.
Flatt is one such result, from a bloodline originally aiming for the ultimate magus specimen. It just so happens that at some point the family forgot about it and got spooked when it they unknowingly succeeded.
basically for the nasuverse fanservice, but definitely not the sexual type of it
This.
What a fucking shitshow.

if it will, they havent anounced it yet
Fuyuki grail isn't THE grail then
Is she going to go all Cornelius on that head?
Command Seals are curses, but the Matous can't cast curses themselves.
>"Hold on. By bug user… do you mean like guys who use bugs as a medium for poison? Like, putting in hundreds of poisonous bugs in a pot, and using the last surviving one as a curse…?"
"No, that is wrong. From the start, cursing is outside of the Makiri's area of expertise.
The results of their magic always return to their bodies.
Cursing others would only result in mutual destruction."
"…Then he's using bugs as familiars?"
From the Mapo Tofu scene in the VN.
oh yeah, and bring back kalafina for us to hear that marvelous KnK ost again
It's kind of a mystery of exactly what Flat is other than really weird. But it goes beyond just being a mage. He appears to be the result of some spooky many generations in the making project that's so old that no one remembers it however.
What does loli Olga-Marie's breath smell like?
Isn't she British or something? Probably smells like tea and scones.
My dick
Oh, makes sense. Thank you.
It's just too bad his INT stat is in the negatives.
Sounds like zoology then. I suppose the Makiri's role in the implementation of command seals has more to do with implanting them in master and servant (as a link between mage and familiar) rather than crafting the curse itself. The curse is likely premade from somewhere else
Has there ever been any mention of The Grail in the nasuverse though? cant seem to remember
Yes, Galahad brought it home, and so did Percival.
Just read UQ Holder. It even has Kojiro who gained the MEoDP, TAs and DAs.
It probably is a self-contained curse that’s independent just for that reason. The reason Kirei can use them to get around Origin Bullets is because of Zouken using a loophole to be overpowered and make super curses that chaldea seethes at not having.
It’s definitely using the Absorption attribute in its capabilities for binding however.
>Also I think Nasu said in the Q&A of HF2 that Zouken was Curses?
Curses and Botany
>Bptanhy
Unless the worms were substitutes made of onions beans, fucking what?
Is it just me or the violin sounded off? Like suddenly background music popped up rather than sounds coming from the violin. Pretty sure it also sounded more like an orchestra than a single instrument.
I take it that's part of the spell?
Botany focuses on anti-aging researches.
Also something something black magecraft/witchcraft (whatever the translation is)
>Sherlock is the worst because he gathers information and makes sure it's a solid case instead of jumping to conclusions.
This is why you're not a detective.
Read some of his cases. You'd be surprised at how many red herrings you'd find.
My assumption was the since the Command Spell doesn't rely on the Master's circuits to function, Origin Bullets can't do shit to them. Also, Command Spells are probably a level of mystery higher than Origin Bullets. Origin Bullets probably aren't absolute, and there most likely are ways to defend against it.
>My assumption was the since the Command Spell doesn't rely on the Master's circuits to function, Origin Bullets can't do shit to them
IIRC it says that outright in the LN.
The music was a string quartet and not solo violin. But it's fucking magic like said.
Original
Makes you wonder what the hell he learned, to make him refuse perfect and almost unconditional immortality for everyone he wanted. On a related note, do we have any hints as to the nature of the 1st and 4th magicians or their magic? I seem to recall the 1st referencing creation ex nihilo, and nothing about the 4th.
Based TROYCA
truly amazing. thanks troyca
4th is the biggest mystery since we know nothing about it.
The Einzbern Magician probably realized what the 3rd could actually do to the world and deliberately sealed it away. He had no intention of using and and no intention of passing it on. He was probably correct in his decision; even after the Third was gone, people caused a shitton of problems trying to get it back and use it. If anyone actually succeeded in using it, it's a one-way ticket to Lostbelt territory. Using the 3rd could certainly save the world, but it would also doom it.
Yeah, it would be a shortlived victory before [TIMELINE WAS PRUNED FOR THIS SPELL]
What the fuck is wrong with Ms Adashino
Just weaken the Human Order bro
Worked for the Tsukihime works
Literal snek lady
Also, she wants Waver, but he isn't having none of it, and that annoys her.
It would actually probably be fairly long-lived. Even after getting purged, the Lostbelts in FGO lasted a thousand years or more. The purged timelines just have no real possibility, no branching timelines. They're just cut off and left to fend for themselves.
Reaching the Third again is literally impossible in the Tsukihime world.
T. Waver
Do we know why Zouken suffers from soul decay and Touko doesn't? Aren't they fundamentally using the same trick to survive? Is it something to do with origin and element fuckery, or is it just that Touko hasn't existed long enough to see the effects?
He's like a sorcerer with maxed out Cha, but traded his Int to balance his attributes.
Touko isn't five hundred years old. Zouken was around for two hundred years with minimal adverse affects. Also, soul transference without relying on the Third tends to have adverse effects. Even Roa's soul deteriorated after eighteen reincarnations.
You guys keep talking about souls, but do typemoon have some sort of afterlife?
Zouken is a mass of worms barely held together in ojiisan form. Between not being on his body and living for centuries his soul started to rot because being outside of a body for too long is pretty bad for souls.
Touko made a puppet so much equal to her that Gaia doesn't know who actually is Touko, so her soul gets transported to her puppet because it's just Touko is Touko is Touko.
Kinda like Ciel and Roa I guess.
Also I'm not sure it was ever confirmed Touko won't suffer soulrot, she isn't alive for enough time to it to become relevant
Generally, after a person dies, their soul returns to the Root and it's subsequently recycled into new lifeforms. Shirazumi Lio, for instance, was carnivorous animals in his past life.
>two hundred years
Three hundred, he became worms that walk after making the Grail, and that was se 200 years ago.
Zouken is 500, 500 - 200 = 300.
There was one in the age of gods.
Now souls just get reciclated for raw soulstuff
Is there anything that can be done to prevent the pruning effect?
>manlet
Well of course he is, he's Japanese after all.
Well, if you don't use it on all of humanity but only a relatively small number, it should be fine. Einzberns, Zouken and Amakusa wanted to use it on everyone.
Archer is Jap and he's 6'2"
Yeah, and he's also Japanese and black.
I hate it when she looks too much like Saber like this
>but durr she's supp-
No, she usually looks a bit different.
Indeed. In fact, the hairstyle isn't even necessary. We're told that she's close but not quite Artoria yet can still use Rhongobongo, so it would have been perfectly fine to leave her hair down.
Alas, japanese artists' terminal case of sameface forces Gray to copy the hairstyle so people can understand.
>I hate it when she looks too much like Saber like this
Well the pic that you just quoted is drawn by the official illustration of the LN
You know how I think they should have handled Gray? Throughout the novel/manga, have her and ONLY her be drawn by Takeuchi and for the anime, have her art to be similar to Takeuchi's art as well. That way you have your visual cue without needing to resort to hair style.
>become the bone of his sword
>turns into a massive nigger
What did Nasu mean by this?
I don't want her to die, please. There are still many children to make.
She is gonna be fine in this timeline.
This is the canon timeline right?
All timelines are canon.
Every timeline is canon, user.
And anyway do we even know what will happen to Olga in FSN timeline besides she won't be the successor because of Kirsch ? She's probably dead in Extra timeline given by what Sialim said about Olga and the Animusphere in MB Nightmare + Marisbilly is implied to be the one that did the ritual
Don't worry, user. From her perspective she's still alive.
As long as it's not FGO, it's canon.
Reminder that Arcueid's appearance in EXTRA isn't canon.
Only KnK, Tsukihime, F/SN, Mayoho and the various works that directly take place in one of those settings (i.e. Case Files takes place in the F/SN world) are canon.
Kaleidoscope.
Keep being retarded in these threads and I'll turn /tmg/ into another /fgog/.
That said eventually in the Age of Will everyone will be actualized souls. But getting to the Age of Will is that one in a million golden ending/play-through for humanity that is the end goal and also nearly impossible. The problem with Heavens Feel isn't that it exists in say Apocrypha/Amakusa's plan. It's that humanity wasn't ready for it yet.
If humanity's gonna reach the Age of Will, it needs to get there on its own. Shortcuts are not allowed and that's why the 3rd is inherently bad. No cheats allowed or instant disqualification, basically.
You sound autistic

Maybe 4th magic is related to infinite magical power? Humanity still hasnt found any infinite resource, so it satisfies the condition about sth science cant do. Imagine a mage with infinite odd inside his body, which gives him the ability to spam any shit he wants till the eternity. Its like a servant boosted by the grail but even the grail has its own limit
2nd already does that.
Well you're a perpetual motion energy thing due to the astral plane with the fourth.
Oh yeah. I thought 2nd is only related to parallel worlds
2nd can effectively grant you a limitless amount of mana by drawing from countless parallel worlds.
I don't think it exist something like true infinite magical power. Even EXTRA Galactus had to eat planets and shit
Not the same as infinite Od already inside your body. Rin can beamspam an unlimited number of times, but the size of each beam is limited.
That's because the Jeweled Sword has such limitations. Kischur was able to use the Second to blow away the moon.
>Kischur was able to use the Second to blow away the moon.
He didn't do that with Od though, he directly used the mana sucked up from the environment through the second magic. There's an important distinction.
He doesn't need od. The point is that the 2nd can grant you a virtually limitless amount of energy. It doesn't matter where that energy comes from so long as you can get it and use it.
I was never contesting that, but it's significantly different than unlimited Od, which is what this discussion is about.
No, the discussion was about "unlimited magical energy". Doesn't matter if it's od or mana. As long as you have access to unlimited energy, it works.
>No, the discussion was about "unlimited magical energy"
Who are you quoting? I ctrl-fed for "unlimited magical energy" and your post was the first one with that phrasing.
talks about "infinite odd[sic] inside his body," so yes the discussion was about Od.
>wake up
>expect at least two more threads to read
>the original still up
What is happening, did everyone suddenly drop Case Files?
Well either way, it doesn't matter. Od, mana, as long as you have it and can use it, it's completely irrelevant.
Gray's heavy breathing was hot.
Opinion: I love the Nasuverse but absolutely despise how utterly immoral and depraved mages can be. Like, almost not a single episode of El-Melloi has gone by without this or that being a smarmy piece of shit towards Waver (chief culprit being that Adashino twat). Like, did Nasu intentionally write the typical mindset of magi this particular way to piss off his readers?
Case Files threads have always been rather slow though.
>namesake
casuals don't understand what's going on, so they rather not talk about it
didn't mean to quote, had that word highlighted
Mages are assholes, that's the literal point.
Did nothing right too.
Magi only care about their goals. You're not a magus if you're not a sociopath.
The best mages in every timeline fuck off to be in their own worlds.
Basically there is no good alignment for mages and neutral is the best you're gonna get.
That's not necessarily true. Waver basically took all the Good-aligned mages for his department.
I prefer them this way. Experienced anons are helpful and kind and secondaries like Waver too.
