Heck, the observation that declasses them the most is that half of the value these shows have is found in them being referenced by Madoka. This makes them vital to the understanding of some of its facets - and in turn uplifting them retroactively as in the widest sense they contributed to the meta archetypes that ended up giving rise to the greatest anime of all time: Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
