A thaumaturge might be the one who designed the style of broom most people ride, or an artificer the one who built it, but the Witch is the one you take it too to fix it when you crash and crack the handle.

Our main character is a boy who, through middle school, has dressed as a girl in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a beloved and respected witch like his (deceased) mother and her mother before her. Eventually, its revealed the woman at the top of the evil organization that's after him is his former lover who is a hot yandere witch he was engaged to. She turned out to be an evil bitch, which made him want to cut things with her. She sperg'd out and tried to manipulate his mind to make him forget about her evils and love her again. However, she fucked up and wiped all his memories, and now basically wants him back so she can finish the job and brainwash him.

Just place Guts from Berserk in a normal isekai world with him being aware that he's on a different world and it was doing of Femto, make him know that the Maou exist, and the true story ensues. You know, as well as the isekai world being a world where is part of a different world. You know I'm having my brain hurt just thinking about all the crazy characters in an alternative Berserk Universe that aren't exactly like you'd expect. I'm still figuring out how to make this sort of story work, and it's a lot of work, since you've got to make the two worlds, even one which is totally separate and is completely distinct from the other world in which Guts goes. I've been thinking about that story for a while, and what I have to say about it was kind of the "answer" that finally convinced me that the idea is a good one. I mean, the idea itself isn't that crazy, I just think the way of explaining it was wrong. So I am going to try to be more constructive in explaining it in more detail in the coming days, but the gist is that there shall be not more HIATUSES!

I think the Isekai world should be another Berserk, but adding several things that does make it different from the canon world: like magic being more common, and big changes like Guts getting to see his mother, but ultimately being unable to save her (she dies from giving birth).
Then the story starts "again" with Alt! Guts, and I'm curious if that Canon!Guts would be a character who can work as a parental figure, so there could be a pre Golden Age Arc where we see him training his other self.
As for the current story being written, it could only have four arcs, in which we'll surely see the Band of the Hawk again.

My personal take is that it's about Guts, but it doesn't have to be a very simple story with only "Guts loses his mother," like the manga has shown. However, it's difficult to make it coherent when there are several different things like him meeting his other self and other mother, so the story's not easy to tell. I've thought that since Guts' mother is part of the story from the very start, then I can write some chapters with them getting to know each other.

Therefore, when confronting the situation if he should take his other self with him to his original world to increase his chances to kill Femto, they take refuge in a forest for Guts to train Alt Guts with more focus.
