It very much feels like Majikoi in writing, with gangs instead of martial arts. However the biggest problem is that the MC is a pacifist loser.
In Rena's route you get a decent, cool MC that is forced to join the gang of the girl he likes and helps her take over the city.
In Ai's route you get a whiny faggot MC that cries about everything cool Ai does and wants to turn her into a prissy princess like him, Ai unfortunately does so and it's full of soap opera drama.
Maki's route is like Ai's, except she's a mad dog that destroys everyone anyway while her fag boyfriend the MC cries in the background.

I never recommend skipping anything, but here I'd actually recommend skipping Ai's route, especially if you like her. Or at least read her's first. Otherwise the other routes are fun.

Fuck no, probably one of the worst VN adaptations I've ever seen. They should have just picked a route and stuck to it, the original story is pants-on-head retarded, even for Majikoi. I've blocked most of it out but I distinctly remember it ending with everyone thinking Yamato is dead because he flat-lines but it's actually because all of the blood in his body rushes to his cock, and that right there sums up the entire show.

Tsujidou is pretty good, the comedy is on point but the drama is pretty poorly-written. Overall the quality is a lot lower than Majikoi. I'd even rank Majikoi S above Tsujidou. The MC completely ruins Ai's route. In the others he's fine but only because he's basically a completely different character.

I didn't. But the entire route hinges on the fact that he agrees, even though he doesn't want to, and then he goes to someone else in the exact same situation. Essentially, the reason (or one of the reasons) I hate him is because the other two routes entirely hinge on him breaking up with Ai for reasons that should apply to both the other girls. On top of that, something else I hate about him is that he doesn't act the way he did with Ai in his own route towards the other two girls either. He never tries to stop anyone else from becoming a delinquent. And I'm not saying that I LIKED that part of Ai's route, because I hated it, but the fact that he ONLY acts that way with Ai makes me hate him even more. His character is wishy-washy as fuck.

The fact that he breaks up with Ai so easily in the other routes but doesn't try to force the other girls to change the way he did with Ai shows me that he never truly loved Ai at all. He disgusts me. And while I know I shouldn't compare it to Majikoi, given the constant references to Majikoi and the similarities, I keep comparing him unfavorably to Yamato and that makes me dislike him even more.

Whether he truly loved her or not depends on whether or not you choose her route. That's kind of the way it works in VNs with branching paths, the mental state of the protagonist changes to fit in with the choices you make, as you make them.

Also I think you're placing too much on him and downplaying the roles of the girls themselves. The reason he tries to change Ai is because Ai wants to change for him. She puts in the effort to do well in school and lets herself show her feminine side because she wants to make him happy. With Maki, it's the opposite: She's stubborn and doesn't want to change, so he has to make compromises to try and change her little by little, and in doing so he learns to loosen up and not always be such a boy scout. Maki even admits at several points to having grown bored with delinquent life after living with him, and views the constant challengers and rough living as annoyances. So I don't know where you're getting the idea that Ai is the only one he tries to dissuade from the delinquent life.

Whether someone wants to change or not, it's up to them. Where the fuck does this fucker get off trying to force people to change to suit his tastes?
