how.
i thought the DR1 anime was pretty decent for only twelve episodes. the pacing was kind of fucked and there was no room to breathe between murders and a lot of good dialogue was cut but it did an alright job at showing the main catch of the game. DR3 is fucking irredeemable though.
What's even worse is that they chose to simply skip SDR2-- the game everyone ACTUALLY *WANTED* an anime of-- to make DR3, because they were so excited to have total creative control this time... and then we got one of the worst animes of the last decade.
DR3 unironically made me appreciate the Danganronpa anime far more
The sole upside is that it has one of my favorite OPs ever
youtube.com
like if despair arc were just.... slightly less fucking awful in its writing and pacing... we could have had a genuinely good new chunk of the story. the DR2 cast are just so good. they beg to be explored. but with writing this bad, it just hurts their characters and makes them seem LESS deep because the creators had an "outcome" (The Worst Most Blah Blah Event etc) but never really cared what actually drove the catalyst to happen. "a student killed other students!" that's it. in fact they imply in DR1 that the whole incident that started the Despair uprising just took place in izuru's classroom. but in DR3 suddenly it wasn't just izuru going fucking bonkers and massacring a class, it was just the "prototype" killing class and they all chased each other all over killing each other for no reason. which is a lot less interesting
Stop.
to make you feel despair
why did kodaka let the gakkou gurashi writer just take a fat steaming shit all over his series. i just don't get it. he was definitely planning on ending the series since DRV3 was being worked on at the same time, why was the shit anime necessary.
from what i remember it was literally because they were so excited to have actual creative control, after DR1 anime had to be heavily abbreviated to fit a small 1cour show. they just clearly started making things up as they went which totally defeated the purpose of making the show at all. answers we know they made up on the spot are pointless
total waste of one of the most interesting casts in the series
You know why.
Why didn't he just tell the guy he was fucking gay?
>hmm my options are a slight amount of awkwardness with a close personal friend I also find attractive, or, dooming the entire world and allowing a clearly dangerous terrorist run rampant on this campus, which my sole job is to keep safe
??????????????????????
Juzo didn't know that he's going to fuck the whole world, give him a break.
WORLD IS A FUCK
They already knew the person they were chasing was extremely dangerous. The second he found out it was Junko he should have told the guy about it. The paper thin excuse "well she saw him jerking off to a picture of his bro" just logically does not make sense, it's not proportionate in risk to letting her go free after she even revealed her true self to him.
christ and then they half-assedly try to 'redeem' him in DR3, by having him survive fatal injuries just long enough to turn off the breakers and end the game. as if that makes up for literally the entire danganronpa series and all of its associated deaths and suffrage being because of him not reporting Junko to Kyosuke.
and then as if all of this isn't retarded enough, they try to imply he's actually really smart in Killer Killer. like what the fuck, it's so inconsistent
also i guess since i'm just airing my grievances at this point, i hate that the Remnants of Despair weren't converted in a more interesting way. they just give junko a secret underground torture funhouse under the school where literally everything relating to her happens.
it doesn't help that brainwashing became like the nanomachines of the story in danganronpa, that they use to explain literally everything
Cope, despairfag.
>He doesn't have full faith in Juzo's every action
What the fuck are you doing with your life?
V3 anime when? I have no doubt it'd be shit I just want to fuck around with d/a/nanronpa again
>is the only person ever to meet the Real Junko and live
>doesn't tell anybody
>Is the only person to ever to meet the Real Junko and live
>Who are Naegi, Asahina, Kirigiri, togami and weed man?
>Who is Hinata?
Wtf is wrong with it's belly button ?
I was super impressed by the DR1 anime. Obviously it's rushed, but that's really the only thing that's wrong with it. Most VN adaptations are way worse.
People get sloppy when they have room for mistakes. The Soviet Union never exceeded the United States in precision targeting of missiles, so instead they used their huge material advantage over the Americans to create the strongest kind of nuke so it wouldn't matter how well-targeted American stuff was, as the Soviets would just blow everything up with the sheer size of it.
How about them doujins them?
I unironically enjoyed every Danganronpa related material.
Yes, including D3 and Another Episode
Frankly I'd like to thank DR3 for effectively killing Mai Nakahara's career. It was one disaster too many.
Not white-knighting for a faggot.
Anime Monokuma was shit. Not intimidating at all.
>>have total control over DR3 anime
?
Didn't Kodaka give them a huge script and that's it?
>but in DR3 suddenly it wasn't just izuru going fucking bonkers and massacring a class, it was just the "prototype" killing class and they all chased each other all over killing each other for no reason. which is a lot less interesting
user, DR0 came out before DR2 and it had same shit
>and then as if all of this isn't retarded enough, they try to imply he's actually really smart in Killer Killer. like what the fuck, it's so inconsistent
he appeared in killer killer before dr3 started airing
>Another Episode
UDG is good though, easily the best protagonist and mastermind in the series
I never watched a DR anime of any kind I feel sort of happy about it.
>Best mastermind.
Are you kidding? Monaka is so cartoonishly evil that it just takes away any chance at taking her seriously, especially after how pathetic all the warriors of hope turned out to be. For fucks sake, she faked being disabled the whole game!
And then DR3, as the abortion of an anime that it is, just negated any possible payoff we could have gotten for Despair Girls for the sake of some dumb joke.
>"Hahah! She became a shut in and went to space! Oh well! lol loli brap"
No juzoboys this time?
>we got one of the worst animes of the last decade.
It wasn't even the worst that season, man.
juzoboys have been long gone
I wish there was an anime about the daily lives of Hope's Peak students.
I love Ibuki
>literally causes the entire franchise to happen
How can a character be so based?
I unironically really enjoyed the DR anime opening.
>Monaka is so cartoonishly evil
As opposed to brilliantly written Junko?
Monaka is everything Junko wished she was, she's actually evil, she's actually a threat, she actually brainwashes people, etc.
>Monaka is everything Junko wished she was
Its the other way around dude. Junko is everything Monaka wished she could be. It's literally the whole point of her character in UDG.
>she's actually evil
So is Junko. Your point?
>she's actually a threat.
Yes a little girl who pretends to be disabled and was abused by her older brother is definiately more of a threat than a high school girl who has the talent to analyse other talents and use them as her own.
> she actually brainwashes people
So did Junko. DR3's hack writing aside, she brainwashed Matsuda and all the Hope kids to help her.
why they used such weird OP song instead of just reusing original game OP? It's not like i'm complaing, rather i find that's weird
Because the guys who sung this opening were fans of DR and were in Japan at the time the anime was in production (They're American).
iirc they did use the game op for the first episode
Just finished DR3.
>DR2 ends
>77th class was reset to despair mode
>DR3 they show up as if they actually did remember the New World Program
...did I miss something?
They werent reset to despair mode. They were just stuck in coma until Hajime used his superior hacking skills to resurrect them as their new world program selves.
I meant pre tragedy dingus
who is mitarai
So what? That doesn't negate it being inconsistent
she is the best fucking girl
perfection
she have the best story the best charm
and she is the only one who really love makoto
>Monaka is everything Junko wished she was, she's actually evil, she's actually a threat
The whole fucking point of Monaka is that she's a lesser Junko. She doesn't even get to have a real Hope vs Despair confrontation and she's furious about it in UDG. In DR3 they even kind of imply Junko was immature (maybe a chuuni) since Monaka immediately starts losing interest in the Despair wars when she grows up, and can't even muster the enthusiasm to kill Touko and Komaru because she's in her moody teenage phase now.
i should've just said "met her true self and lived while not also working for her".
>she have the best story
>I'm Junko's dumb bitch
>and she is the only one who really love makoto
>Gives no fucks when Junko tries to murder Naegi, throws him in a killing game and fucks with his friends, families and entire future.
Y-Yeah...
>Monaka is everything Junko wished she was, she's actually evil, she's actually a threat, she actually brainwashes people, etc.
Read DR0.
Best part. Juzo didn't fucking have to come out of the closet. Junko's pics were suspect, but they weren't full homo material. Kyosuke would probably just raise an eyebrow, not accuse him of being a faggot.
cuck
last 52 season was a fake hollywood show
dnaganronpa if is the real story
If is what happens when Narita has to make do with existing source material and isn't made privy to follow-ups.
Fate Strange/Fake is what happens when he IS made privy to them: he has to redo all his planned notes.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy IF for what it is, but it's an alternate canon at best.
Everything in the hope's peak saga is an anime/video game in V3. They never existed as real people.
Also, Mukurofags are the biggest cucks out there. DR3 sank that ship. Bitch doesn't even appear in Makoto's flashback while Sayaka and Kyoko had voice lines.
Has anyone even asked the script writers or Kodaka why Mukuro didn't appear in that flashback?
Not him...but wouldn't it make sense without asking? Junko and Mukuro are the only ones absent. They betrayed all of them and wrecked the world. Should it be surprising that Makoto doesn't care about them?
man if was fantastic mukuro was literrally the best girl
>tfw no introvers mercenary killer gf that become good thanks the love for you
say to me a better girl
i like DR3 eccept the shit ending the problem with danganronpa is that didnt left the past
why they didnt make a danganronpa 3000 years after the first game event so no old shit came back
mukuro is the best fucking girl she isnt like the anime!!!!
she didnt help makoto because if he help him his sister will discover her love and he will be dead
Junko is a given, but Naegi has always pitied her victims even if they were her "comrades". Look at what he did for Hajime's class.
Would he not extend that pity to the sister she arranged to have killed, too?
nope junko say that her and mukuro where the sister of desperation
in the origin junko was only a normal memeber of the organization
but they change it an make her the boss
and ruin the story for make happy the fandom
If Junko's a given that means Makoto's capable of recognizing someone is irredeemable evil. The method Junko used to brainwash class 77 was suspect and he can't explain himself when asked. Mukuro wasn't like them, and has been with Junko as a child. I'd also be skeptical about calling her a victim in the same capacity. Mukuro has agency away from Junko, that's why she left to join Fenrir.
cute and canon
read if
Whenever I see this .gif I remember that Monokuma is being piloted by Junko and I imagine her doing that sexy dance.
I remember Monokuma making jokes about being naked and always wondered if Junko was naked when she was controlling Monokuma.
How could you say that about the anime with the best girl Mikan in it
I've read IF. I've also read DR0 and watched DR3. Guess which are more important?
>Imagine a fanfic from an outsource author being your last line of defense
user...
Well, she was cramped up in a small control room living that NEET life during the killing game.
>They never existed as real people.
Explain the reasoning behind the crime files in Shuichi's lab starting with photos and being in-depth (first handful of of games) and then devolving into drawings and text with no pictures at all
Based
>Has anyone even asked the script writers or Kodaka why Mukuro didn't appear in that flashback?
Did he ever even know what she really looked like?
>Did he ever even know what she really looked like?
Yes. Check the photos.
This, Juzo is the saving grace of DR3 and the source of 80% of the memes
He would've had the time and materials to recover his memories after the FF rescued his surviving class.
Buta! Inu!
Have you ever reminisced about someone in full profile having only seen a photo of them one time? If they'd had Mukuro-dressed-as-Junko in the flashback that'd be confusing
>Explain
Fucking why? The game told us that the Danganronpa game shows began were offshoots of the fictional Hope's Peak Academy saga.
>i believe the stuff i want to believe coming from a game whose entire fucking theme is truth and lies and what exists between
Wut? Makoto and the others got their school life memories back thanks to the FF. It was said in DR2.
Did it ruin Danganronpa for you?
You absolute fucking moron. This is not the same dumb shit as "they existed in the same/different universe". This is detailing how the seasons of DR came to be. In that script showing how many DR games had happened, it separates DR 1/2/3 as not part of the set and fictional.
>Explain the reasoning behind the crime files in Shuichi's lab starting with photos and being in-depth (first handful of of games) and then devolving into drawings and text with no pictures at all
They were made up and fabrications. Why would this be hard?
Why are the early ones filed with photos and details while everything later in the file is not, dingus? If it were all fucking made up this detail would be utterly pointless
Who literally cares? Why would there be statements made saying the original DR games were animes? It'd be just as pointless when they could say those were all actors just like all the rest. It would do nothing to paint the picture they want to Shuichi and the others to accept.
>Why would there be statements made saying the original DR games were animes?
BECAUSE IT IS A GAME ABOUT LIES AND TRUTHS AND THE AREAS IN BETWEEN THE TWO
THE FUCKING THEME OF THE GAME is second guessing the information given to you by the game's narrative to draw your own conclusions
nothing about what is real or fake is irrefutably factual in V3. from the very beginning scenes to the very last line of dialogue from tsmoogi, there is room made for doubts about what was true and what was false.
Not entirely. DR3 was a massive disappointment and I expected a lot better but the threads were fuckin awesome at least.
I honetly wouldn't even be mad if the masses were brainwashed as long as only the cast of SDR2 wasn't, I mean, they all have clear weak points and Junko is supposed to be a manipulative genius or something, isn't she?
Although "brainwashing by ANIME" would have NEVER been acceptable.
I was genuinely looking forward to the threads more than the episodes
Another Episode is fucking great so of course you'd enjoy it
>BECAUSE IT IS A GAME ABOUT LIES AND TRUTHS
You brainlet. This doesn't mean we can't select instances that are verifiably true or false. What kind of fucking logic do you operate on to plant an umbrella theme under a really specific circumstances irrelevant to it? THERE IS NOTHING TO GAIN from painting the original games as fictional, and there is zero argument against it, nor does there need to be. The argument is that
>HPA saga is purely fictional
or
>HPA is real in a different universe and fictional in the V3 universe.
Can you keep up? There is never a point in the V3 context where the HPA arc is NOT fictional. The only difference here is that instead of a fabricated gameshow like the rest, it was straight up an anime from the start. There are no derogations from that and your point against wasnt' even fucking one.
>Director: Seiji Kishi
That's how. Reminder that this is the guy who projected his ex issues onto a fictional character and made her act completely out of character out of spite.
I live on as if it wasn't canon so not really.
Ugly and fanfiction.
>nothing about what is real or fake is irrefutably factual in V3. from the very beginning scenes to the very last line of dialogue from tsmoogi, there is room made for doubts about what was true and what was false.
Based retard. You literally had that Makoto brat, completely disconnected from the killing game or flashback lights talking about how much he loved danganronpa.
could you elaborate, kind user?
Cute as fuck. Even better in based Nagito's dreams. Naegiri is also good. The manlet is pretty shippable.
>tfw really want to read IF but afraid to like Mukuro and then have a bunch of anons bullying me about canonicity every thread
Being a Mukurofag must be suffering
This, it should be more common for fandoms to recognize when a 'canon' piece of media does more harm to the canon than good, and mentally retcon it themselves.
Based. Only the content from the actual games is canon in my mind, it's the only way I can maintain my sanity
For me the demo is canon and Sayaka didn't die.
i think some of us need to go rewatch trial 6
He also directed Carnival Phantasm, which was an adaptation of the manga Take Moon. In it, there's a chapter where the character Sakura gets abused by her brother Shinji and her servant Rider helps her deal with him.
The anime changes this to make Sakura act like a narcissist who praises herself and punches Rider for trying to help her, randomly bringing up her ranking in old popularity polls and saying she wants to be abused to make her look better.
An interview has Seiji Kishi openly stating that he dislikes Sakura because she makes him think of his ex.
dr3 and v3 were an anime and show made by the survivors of dr1 to send a message about killing games
We're still here.
I still love him.
>The anime changes this to make Sakura act like a narcissist who praises herself and punches Rider for trying to help her, randomly bringing up her ranking in old popularity polls and saying she wants to be abused to make her look better.
Pretty sure this is ripped off HA where Sakura is smug as fuck and somewhat narcissistic, contrasting her overt personality in FSN.
Memes made the ride worth it
Tell me where Sakura punches Rider (or anyone) in F/HA. The anime-original parts are incredibly out of place, entirely focused on making Sakura look bad, and the director's interview makes it very clear why he added them.
what fucking message does DR3 anime give
what is the moral of the show
that meganes should be shot on sight
That's not very nice, user.
I like how I figured out tsmugi was the murderer at the start and the game didn't let me act on it
I went to law school for a reason
You got it backwards. In Shuichi's lab, the oldest case files were illustrations while the newer ones were photos. This demonstrates how the in-universe Danganronpa series originated from visual novels and anime before becoming a live action production.
>went to law school for a reason
Why do you lie on the internet. You know lawyers arent detectives, right?
A lucky guess or hunch is not the same as figuring something out.
No one claimed as such, it's called being smart. I'm sure you're familiar with that, right user?
I'm of two minds about it.
Obviously you can't let the player ACCIDENTALLY guess Tsumugi because then the entire plot couldn't happen. But, if you are a particularly perceptive sort of person, Tsumugi's alibi clearly doesn't fly and should be called out, but you get punished for trying to accuse her. This is especially jarring because the game repeatedly encourages you after the first trial to find backroutes that let the group get to conclusions faster.
If anything, they should have had a non-standard ending for NG+ where you can accuse her in Trial 1 and lay it all out right then and there.
I have to admit though it was super funny watching Joseph Anderson play V3 and get legitimately angry that Tsumugi is acting suspicious but can't be called out on it, and then being even angrier when Kaede's guilt relied on omitting information to the player (he wasn't satisfied with "I dropped everything I was holding"), and then being outright FURIOUS when he realized he was absolutely right and wasn't allowed to call it out from the start.
I think V3 angers people because it's such a cool premise and the cast is great but nearly every twist relies on omitting information or not letting the player call out the shaky details that the plot needs you not to focus on, to keep going.
It's been a while since I played it but I remember at one point the actual evidence just stopped being plausible and the entire situations relied on conjecture and constant scooby doo type admissions of guilt
What evidence could be used to call Tsumugi out in the first trial? They had nothing on her.
Her alibi sucks and is very obviously suspicious, she was the only person without a solid alibi for the time of Rantaro's murder, and Kaede's death trap is stupid for a number of reasons.
Her alibi was a blatant lie and it just got swept over
Keebo, Ryoma and Kokichi had no alibis.
Her alibi was that she went to the bathroom, which was true. You aren't remembering the trial correctly.
I'd have to play again but I'm pretty sure they had witnesses to place their locations when the crime took place.
>tfw akane probably has the stinkiest base farts in the games(by "base" i mean her farts normally without any alterations, use of equipment be it medicinal or by being ill:see peko)
Seriously her obsession with being strong and lack of intelligence mean that she probably eats a shitload of protein daily which is gonna GUARANTEE horrid protein farts. That's not even mentioning that she probably doesn't shave and all that sweat from exercising would accumulate over time. Throughout all three games the only girls that could rival akane's farts would be toko, mukuro, chiaki, and tenko. Tenko is a smelly dyke and works out but she's not as animalistic and over the top as akane. Chiaki is a gamer and eats lots of junk food but that would contribute more to smelly burps than farts because of the carbonated drinks. Mukuro is canonically known to be smelly but it's a lot more likely that it has to do with the fact that she's musky and sweaty rather than having gross smelling farts, she also shaves for mobility. Now toko is 100% a worthy opponent to akane seeing how she also doesn't shave, is known for being smelly, and spends a good deal of her time sat on her ass writing. HOWEVER she doesn't work out like akane does and probably doesn't have any diet issues like chiaki. Akane is like a perfect storm(like a tornado ha) of fart fuels designed to produce the most noxious gas possible.
Bros how do i deal with this? I love my waif but i dont want to be naked and snuggling under a cover with her than have her randomly shoot off mustard gas causing me to vomit
>which was true.
How the fuck would she be able to prove that? Here's the piss I didn't flush?
She doesn't need to prove it? You said her alibi was a blatant lie, but it wasn't.
What exactly are you trying to even say? It's stupid that Tsumugi's alibi is weak and nobody calls it out. The player can very easily perceive that the game doesn't want you to press Tsumugi about her alibi and chastises you for correctly trying to accuse her. Plenty of people somehow figured out that she was the mastermind in Trial 1 because the writers gloss over her entirely and hope you don't notice it until later.
>bros how do i deal with this headcanon i just made up that makes my waifu unattractive to me
Tell me where Gilgamesh acts like a masochist for Saber Alter? Dude, Carnival Phantasm is a meme anime exaggerating the traits of the characters (Lancer's jobbing trait is the literally this). You're taking it too seriously. Then again, if I recall, that Sakura episode was the worst one anyway?
>has the stinkiest braps
>this is a downside
Are you gay?
>What exactly are you trying to even say?
I'm responding to your claim.
>Her alibi was a blatant lie and it just got swept over
Her alibi literally was not a lie. She did go to the bathroom which is how she got to the secret passage in the first place. If what you said was true, and she did lie about going to the bathroom, she wouldn't have been able to commit the crime that she did.
In addition, Tsumugi's alibi was irrelevant to the outcome of the case. Even if you called her out for having a weak alibi, it wouldn't lead to her being found guilty. It just puts her on the same level of suspicion as the other characters who had no alibis. The key to solving the case was explaining how Rantaro was killed without the culprit being caught on the surveillance cameras.
If the characters called Tsumugi out on her alibi, what would they say? "You lied about going to the bathroom, you actually went to the basement and killed Rantaro". You wouldn't be able to explain how she could get past the cameras.
You're trying to make it sound like there was some detail "glossed over" in the trial, but even if the characters spent two hours interrogating Tsumugi about what happened it wouldn't get them anywhere because nobody knew about the secret passage.
>Her alibi literally was not a lie.
WE KNOW THAT. THE CHARACTERS DON'T. HOW ARE YOU NOT GRASPING THIS
>WE KNOW THAT.
The guy who made this post did not know that.
Dude you are fucking dense jfc. Her alibi was a lie, if you had the knowledge the characters had, where everyone had a second witness to place them during the murder EXCEPT TSUMUGI. Her alibi is WEAK and FROM THE CHARACTER'S POINT OF VIEW it should come off as a very weak lie that has no supported evidence.
No one is saying her entire scheme must be laid out just by being allowed to ask her for more details (which you are not allowed to do despite other characters being grilled heavily later on over much stronger alibis). Just that there is no reason whatsoever for THE CHARACTERS to believe her.
Did you forget you were playing as Kaede who was under the assumption her plan worked on the wrong person?
Tsumugi's alibi was weak in the sense that nobody but her can verify this supposed illness, therefore it would not be admissible as evidence. We all know Kyoko, Komaeda, Togami and alike would have mauled that kind of defense. I don't remember if Shuichi knew about Tsumugi's fake allergies but if he did and didn't attack it, I'm disappointed.
A weak alibi is not a lie. That's now how the English language works. You might not have a reason to believe her but that doesn't mean that her alibi was a blatant lie that can be used as evidence to prove that she killed Rantaro.
And again, having a weak alibi, or no alibi, is not enough to prove that she did it when other characters also had no alibi. How long has it been since you actually sat down and played through the trial. Months? Years? You obviously aren't qualified to be having this discussion.
>You said her alibi was a blatant lie, but it wasn't.
All she does is lie, it's more likely her ultimate talent is actually the ultimate liar, not cosplayer
Tsumugi's cospox wasn't a factor in deciding who the killer was in the trial. Kyoko, Komaeda, and Togami would have briefly questioned her about cospox, and then they would go back to discussing the actual evidence like the camera intervals.
The cospox is a whole other can of worms that raises all kinds of questions
for example, if tsumugi can't cosplay kaede because she isn't fictional without breaking out in hives, how can kaede's identity be made up by the flashback lights? The Kaede we know should be considered fictional yet Tsumugi still gets hives, implying Kaede is real.
Tsumugi's cospox happens whenever she tries to disguise herself as someone who exists in the real world. Kaede's identity and memories were fabricated by Team Danganronpa, but she was still a real human who existed, so Tsumugi couldn't cosplay her.
In a way cosplaying/acting is a form of lying.
Kaede for all intents and purposes became a real person when her past was overwritten. Her memories may be fake but she herself is still real.
Tsumugi knows Kaede's identity is "fictional", and thus by extension that she is playing a fictional character, therefore her Cospox should not happen when she dresses as "Kaede", because "Kaede" isn't real. She's just some blond girl who wanted to kill people.
>I can't cosplay real people
>you're all actually fictional characters
What did she mean by this?
She was just trying to break their spirit. Calling them "fictional" was just short hand for "we erased your old identities and replaced them with backstories we made up".
They should have had a line where says "I can't even cosplay as people cosplaying something else" or whatever
One is literal and one is metaphorical. The students are "fictional" in the sense that their identities are fake. They obviously aren't literal fictional characters, they exist as flesh and blood. That's why it was called Ultimate REAL Fiction.
She can't cosplay people who exist in the real world. "Kaede" is "fictional" but she does exist in the real world.
it frustrates me to no end that they put what is obviously a red herring in tsumugi's lab with the "wood floor and camera lights" set that you would immediately think back to when they show the pre-brainwashing confessionals, where they stand in front of a camera aimed deliberately straight down at a well lit wood floor.
The floor in Tsumugi's lab comes from a classroom set which doesn't fit the floor we see in the audition tapes.
I think the moral of danganronpa is that you can't trust women
I know that, that's why it's frustrating, because any sane person would connect that set in her lab to the set of the confessional tapes. Why have a flat wooden floor and camera lights and nothing else in her lab if it's not supposed to connect to the confessions
It's not supposed to be a flat wooden floor with nothing on it. The screenshots of her lab that people have been circulating are intentionally misleading, well-timed shots of the classroom set unfolding itself from the wall. The empty wooden floor only appears for a split second, it's not supposed to be a hint or a red herring.
