People don't dislike Deku because he's sensitive, they dislike him because he's an overpowered as fuck whiner with a boring, unlikable personality.

What's wrong is that kids are looking up to those kind of characters. They'll grow up thinking it's cool or okay to be sensitive only to get crushed when they run into assertive types.

I just hate how the whole all-might thing is to always smile, confident, strong willing, etc. Deku admires him for that same reason but he always is in his super serious and scared face when fighting on top of just being boring overall, not playing at all to his actual character traits.

nothing is wrong with a sensitive protagonist, what's wrong is that the character has absolutely zero agency of any kind and does not actually deal with any internal dilemma other than "I suck and I wanna be the best hero". Instead of having the capacity to make his own decisions and impact the story in a meaningful way, Deku instead chooses to react to whatever is happening around him without making any meaningful decisions.

Crying every 10 seconds isn't inherently bad. The reason why Deku is made fun of for doing exactly that is because of his lack of agency, and his most common response to anything is crying. In Deku's case at least a Macguffin would help readers stay somewhat invested in his character arc, because in this way Deku would actually have some semblance of a concrete motivation and might actually start impacting the story in his goal to obtain whatever shitty Macguffin the author shits out.
