They failed to negotiations with the revived Reid, from what I can tell Roy tried eating Reid and what happen is that Reid ate Roy and took over his body because Reid was able to peer into Roy's memories. I guess it's a two way street. Emilia and Ram then fight Reid, EMT EMT she's the best. They are almost successful in beating him as they do actually land hits on him now thanks to Subaru's ability. But Ram succumbs to wounds she received earlier, as Subaru's ability makes it so they don't feel pain or exhaustion so Ram didn't know the extent of her own wounds. Reid makes comments about Subaru hiding behind woman. As Julius prepares to fight Reid, Shaula the big Scorpion appears. Emilia takes on Shaula, Julius fights Reid, and a third guest appears. Envy comes and then Subaru dies abruptly. The chapter ends with Subaru confronting Shaula at the start of this new loop.

If you want to jump to where the anime left off, start with Arc 4. I strongly advise you to start with user's interlude (the part you start with) because his doesn't skip a chapter like Translation Chicken. Translation Chicken's translations are higher quality and more polished than user's but he hasn't finished Arc 4 like user has. Start with user's interlude, then switch to Translation Chicken or just keep with user's like I do. Also user's translation gets way better the farther into the Arc because I guess they were learning as they went.
user's Arc 4 is 1600 pages and 660000 words. Whatever you do not read the LNs past 8. They are shit.
