It's not partucuarally good, but some of the characters work together and no one is objectively favored.
The catch being each character represents a different animal of the chinese zodiac signs.

I'm honestly surprised there isn't more of this considering now popular fate is, yet they deep multiple isekai per season.
Only one I can think of is shaman king. If you want it done well though then read the manga, since the anime dropped the ball afterwards

was absolute garbage. "here's this character's backstory.... aaaaand they're dead." AND we never got the rabbit's backstory, and maybe skipped a couple of other characters. i forget, because i've tried to forget that garbage show. it looked like it had potential, and then it felt rushed and completely fucking empty and soulless.
