The fact that all of that ACTUALLY happened and people don't think Miku is a doormat is really strange.

I feel like Negi tried to make her too stereotyped of a character from the start (where she was arguably way more of a cliche than the others) and therefore has an hard time using her in some settings without it feeling "unnatural" and becoming too much of a flag of some kind (not that I think that she'll win, but still, it'd be pretty hard to use her in some context without immediatly revealing whether she'll win or lose in the end). You usually dgaf in an usual romcom because you'll guess very quickly whether the character will win or lose, but in 5toubun's case, since he tries to avoid things that would make the endgame too obvious, her character is probably hard to work with.

Probably the reason there's a lot of wasted potential with her too. She lacks a lot of the reasons Negi can use to drag out things with the other quints (Miku's self-esteem, Ichika and Yotsuba's guilt although for different reasons, Itsuki... not even knowing about it, you name it). IMO she's quite dangerous for Negi from a storytelling PoV if he wants to avoid changing things too much about her characters, so she always end up on the sideline.

Yots flashbacks were good, but only the confession mattered, the rest was 14.9k and 12.3k.

I'm a Mikufag who didn't like the arc but I certainly do not agree with how you see it. Miku is perfectly able to confess by herself, there was absolutely no reason why she'd need help with the date either. SW is the worst arc. Negi ruined Ichika's character, and reminded 3fags that Miku is nothing more than a doormat that isn't even respected among her sisters.
