Misato is head honcho after Gendo disappeared, Fuyutsuki retired, and Ritsuko is missing too, so Maya is the lead scientist.
Kaji's still alive and he's scheming shit like he's Gendo.
Kaworu's back, no telling what he's up to but I'm sure it's gay.
At some point Asuka fuses with her Eva with full control over it so she's pretty much a giantess, splits apart again, and becomes a loli I think.

Anima is presented by the mecha designer for the series, written and half illustrated by an incest doujinka working around the old ideas for toys that the mecha designer feels like drawing.

Every official Evangelion manga has already been licensed and released in English. Some are getting reprinted in omnibus form now due to the Netflix release of the anime.
The light novel spin-off has been licensed by Seven Seas. They'll be releasing one volume every quarter, the series is complete in Japan. Seven Seas should have it completed in English next year.
