Berserk only needs detailed stills, occasional animation, a nice soundtrack, and good direction. Berserk 2016 could've been a 2D slideshow like 1997 was and it probably would've cost less to make.

Its unadaptable by current standards, maybe if technology makes 2D animation cheaper and some new director pops up youll get a decent adaptation. As is nobody has the will or skill to do it right.

Adi Shankar (producer of Dredd & Castlevania) has said a faithful 2D adaptation of Berserk that honors Miura's art is his dream project. Castlevania has been pretty successful for Netflix, and he's already been slated for a Devil May Cry series. After that, yeah we might get a Black Swordsman season to test the waters.

as long as the characters aren't too small, making puck in scale wouldn't be difficult. Guts Dragonslayer form could look really cool though. I'm not sure, but I think the new Dark Crystal will use some cgi to improve the effects. So they could do that.

I don't know much about the franchise but I thought the reason WH40K never got an adaptation was that its lore is a fucking mess, with a million important events that you need to know to understand everything else, a trillion factions with their own important characters and a shitton of worldbuilding details that are important too.
Plus, it's filled with massive and crazy shit that would be hard to properly portray in an audiovisual medium.

I was mainly thinking about a perfect berserk anime. The 2016 one was mind boggling to me but the only other anime i can remember with that quality was KF and that did amazingly.
