Honestly, the current party dynamics as well as their base characterization just work really well, to the point that putting a romance in the middle just wouldn't work within both their dynamics and their characterization(Laius is too autistic, Chilchack have his wife, Senshi was basically a hermit until he meet the party, cat is too self centered, and Marcille too ground in common sense to try start a romance in the middle of a dingy dungeon).

yeah that's pretty much what Kui is contributing, she obviously pairing the two intentionally, but at the same time she's telling you that this what it is all about. Sure they have all the chemistry and coincidences all aligned but it's not turning into a soap opera. For now, we got the gist of their relationship so it wouldn't be surprise if they do end up together, it's all pre-conception so that the reader won't jump into conclusion and yell FORCED ROMANCE out of no where when it happen. I'm not saying that they will, but it's an insurance to safeguard the possibility of canon or not canon. Whatever it is, romance is not the center of the story and people shouldn't overreact.
