Dark Matter chapter was really good. Kakine is a complete CHAD, there was even a panel of him charming the waitress at the counter just at random. I didn't think he'd be much of an MC but if he's like this he'll be great, and Ringo complements him well. I think she's going to have a power very similar to Accelerator, vector control on a smaller scale maybe, and I think that will probably tie in to her demise.

Given how Railgun is floundering a bit, Astral Buddy starting to pick up and this coming out is really neat. Art is really nice too. Very impressive, #2.

Powers can simply be listed too low in the bank, and she's lost to a level 0 plenty before. Not to mention as well, by the time she was there all mikoto had seen was a few cars moving around and dodging her lightning, thats level 2 territory.

The Kakine manga will be better than the Accel manga because the Accel manga has no reason to exist. He's already a main character in the LN, it's totally pointless.

Not to mention it covers a period of his character development that the LN version of Accel practically has no relation to anymore. It's so stupid to explore his villain phase when we have Accel in the LN becoming the fucking board chairman, he's a billion miles past caring about any of that anymore.

Between him claiming to be in the darkness and comparing himself to Accel, his defining character moments in Battle Royale showed him as someone who ultimately doesn’t hold himself to the same standards as the people he derides. When even the world-building feels off, you have to wonder both if the spinoff came about organically, and if there was proper editing. The second Accel arc is feeling as off as Nagaispace right now.

I'm sure she can punch a hole through a building sure, I don't think she can completely annihilate multiple skyscrapers in one strike like this. She'd have to barrage it for awhile.

And hell, Mami can get the wind up near Mach 6, Mikoto can only accelerate objects to Mach 3.

The point is that this is WAY better than what we've seen from any other Level 4. The only thing that comes close is Kongou saying she can launch a radio tower into the stratosphere with enough ejection points, and that seems more like something she can do by combining her power over time than anything else. Everything else we've seen from Level 4s makes it seem like they'd have a hard time maybe knocking down one small building. So having Mami just suddenly annihilate multiple city blocks like this is way out of proportion to everything else.

It would be better if they let Accel take a back seat like what Railgun was doing with Misaka and let other characters take the spot light, even though this would again raise the question of why even putting them in the title in the first place. As it stands Accel manga barely has any memorable characters, especially the second arc where it's just villains we don't care about doing weird shit and pre-development Accel blowing them away, it's baffling how other spin offs touch on Dark May but not in the one about the guy who's central to this entire project.

He still seems to have someone who cares enough to be concerned about why he isn't attending school like he used to, yet there's noticeable emphasis on the idea of having lost someone or something. My guess is something like Kakine has/had a friend who got hurt because of esper shenanigans, and they don't blame Kakine for it, but he himself does.

Do we know if Accel himself was central to the Dark May Project or just like Misaka and the clones used them but were not really any part of it?

But we can safely speculate Accel should have spent much more time in a lab than Misaka did, considering somewhere in OT it was mentioned he has a place in Nagatenjouki school but barely (if ever) shows up there, on the other hand Misaka was a proper student. At the very least he should know they didn't take his DNA or thought patterns to use for a good cause.

Accel also knew Amata way back when he looked like a pushover nerd, so he should be in pretty deep right from the start.

I think that speed limit has more to do with the material she normally uses than the actual upper scale of her powers, since an arcade coin would literally evaporate at speeds higher than what . She should be able to fire significantly faster projectiles using materials with higher resistance to heat and/or better conductors. Evidently though, nothing she can produce on her own should be comparable to her and Misaki's liquid proof Railgun, which by its description alone seems to travel at relativistic speeds.

And he deflects the thunder blast at the start of the battle without a problem.
This removes auto guard based on element types.
He got blind sighted, meaning he hast to be cautious of danger in order for it to work.
Finally he is still getting his shit shoved even when he is fighting face to face with it, meaning his resistance has damage limits.
But these are all guesses; we have to see him using his abilities more.
His ability to see “smoke” only adds questions.
