Jojo

I loved part 1/2 and part 3 is lacking in everything good. I got through the first season of part 3 and Jotaro and friends just hit Egypt.

Part 3 Dio is the most absent, boring, 2D bad guy I've ever seen. There is no character development. Every episode is just a wash, rinse, repeat of "here's a stand user; they think of something clever" sometimes expanded to 2-3 episodes. There's no real explanation for stands aside from somethingsomething Dio's head on a Joestar body. There's no learning with the stand users. Every user is as good in Egypt as they are in the first episode.

I really liked everything about the Pillar Men and Joseph, and want to experience that weirdness again, but not if I have to dredge through another season of part 3. Does it get better?

Pleb filtered.

3 is the worst part, and the anime drawing it out doesn't help. Read the manga for part 3, and then keep reading or watching part 4 based on what you prefer. Jojo gets better, but 3 is shit.

>Does it get better?
No. Part 3 is garbage, but skipping it means the secret police will come to your house and shoot you in the back of the head.

Part 3 has a very monster-of-the-week format that works better for manga than anime. The Egypt arc doesn't escape that, but it has some of the most memorable encounters in the series.

Part 4 is kind of between 2 and 3 in terms of tone. Then Part 5 goes back to the Part 3 style a bit, but with a blander protagonist.

>Does it get better?
Let me put it this way: 90% of Part 3 JoJo references are references to scenes from the Egypt arc.

this is the worst argument you could ever make for a show

That's how most of the villains in JoJo work though. In his book "Manga In Theory And Practice", Araki specifically talks about how in order to avoid the problem of having to introduce increasingly stronger villains, which would cause powerlevel bloat that Yea Forums so loves to complain about, he introduced a multitude of villains around the same level of power that use their abilities in creative ways.

Buddy we already knew that Part 3 is shit. Is like saying that Green Island arc is mediocre. Nothing new to disscuss
