Post shounen MCs with well written and thematically satisfying character arcs.

Kasuga Takao is truly one of the best written protagonist in this demographic. Especially in a story about teenagers perverse nature and adolescence.

Anything by Mizukami.
Fantastic healing stories with protagonists going through major changes throughout the story.

Gash and Kiyomaru

Overall his narrative arc and the themes behind them aren't groundbreaking, but they're a great execution on something tried and true.

Wasn't it published in a shounen magazine?

Shonentard things shonen only consist of fighting seriEs like MHA I.e. retarded

He didnt end up with best girl Nakamura

Agni is pretty great. His entire character is centered around revenge and all of its facets. Usually you only get one thing or the other, they go through with it or they redeem themselves. Agni does everything at once, often without realizing or even remembering it. In it's short 83 chapter run, Agni becomes a truly complex and amazing character, especially in the second half.
I agree with this. Mizukami's character writing is top tier.

Why the fuck would you willingly subject yourelf to that enormous bag of complexes?
He got a way, WAY better deal in the end.

Nakamura is way more exciting than that other girl he got

>more exciting
More insane and retarded you mean.

But thats exciting. Sure, she is toxic as fuck but a relationship with Nakamura would be anything but boring.

Excitiement will disappear in a month of life together and will be replaced by a literal hell on earth.
t. someone who dated a BPD girl who had way less issues than Nakamura

Did you read AnH? Because they seemed pretty chill in their hut.

You invalidate your own opinion as being taken seriously or being critical the moment you imply "shounen" to be some sort of tier in terms of content.

It's either a character is well written and flesh out, or they aren't, the demographic of the magazine their story is publish in is absolutely irrelevant, fucking pleb.

Tokiwas was best girl, she actually understood Kasuga.

You people are all so incredibly cringe it hurts, when you think of "shounenshit" you're strictly referring to tropes and aesthetics almost specifically found in Shounen Jump.

Simply being in a shounen magazine doesn't mean anything besides no explicit sexual content.
It doesn't say anything about the content beyond that.

Although I agree with you, he didn't imply shonen to be anything. He simply wanted to reduce the spectrum of content to choose the reply to his question.
Also, chill.

Is this really worth getting angry about? Take 5 minutes off and walk around a bit.

Yes he did, he uses it as if it's some sort of meaningful categorization, as if the MC of a manga in a shounen magazine is necessarily different from one in a seinen.
He wouldn't reduce the spectrum to shounen had he known what it means since it isn't even remotely useful in categorizing literally anything.

see

I think the only way to remove "shounen is a genre lul" concept from international anime/manga discussion is to scrutinize these people every chance I get.

You're not going to change anyone's mind by acting like an angry manlet. I too have a vendetta against people that misuse the word "sentience" when they mean "sapience", but I don't chimp out at them. I just correct them and move on. So far, one person has thanked me.

>You're not going to change anyone's mind by acting like an angry manlet.
idk, I feel like a lot of it is genuine ignorance so even if I say something to imply i'm mocking them, they might remember in the future.

it just literally causes me physical pain when I read a sentence like "the best shounen ever!" or anything along those lines

If it's genuine ignorance then your approach is especially retarded. Please, never become a parent, a teacher or something to that effect.
Will they remember it? Yeah, they'll remember it as the time some faggot went off about them over the classification of fucking comic books.

Also I kinda liked the idea of him getting with the small skater girl more than the childhood friend girl (even of she was hotter).
