How it's interpreted in English is completely up to the translator. Anime staff have little to no legitimacy in terms of how it should be interpreted and that's the only place we've seen it.

I don't know why they are shitting out so many when the last few have been terrible. Characters are whatever, would have been nice to have a mix of male characters in there rather than scraping the barrel for female characters though. Yeah, to be honest I'm already cose to quitting it by this point. I'd much rather have one new unit every two weeks, that has unique animations and art. From memory, in the 7 weeks this game has been up we've had Kanzaki, Mikoto, MISAKA Imouto, Saiai, Mugino, Frenda, Itsuwa and Kuroko as battle characters, and Index, Last Order, Takitsubo, Saten and Uiharu as assist chracters, all within this summer campaign. That's 13 characters, 14 including Kakine, all limited. Granted at least three of those were easy to obtain, and the assist are just a piece of art and a live 2d model, but it's still way too fast given how shit each one feels. I don't think anyone would complain if we had half as many battle characters and they all had unique special moves if nothing else.

Honestly Dengeki is the worst of the LN Labels at asset management. SAO was literally a fluke and I guess so was Index because Index III is the standard quality of their anime. And IF is incredibly high quality compared to a majority of their games bar SAO for mobile.

All the other labels are way better at this.

I'd say Dengeki Fighting Climax SAO Fatal Bullet, Virtual On and Index MMO aren't really low quality games among the ones I acutally played, now shit like SAO IF, Dengeki crossing void and puzzledex makes you wonder what the fuck happened

SAO only got a pretty good adaptation because Aniplex was behind it. As you said Dengeki is fucking awful at management. It isn't though, for a game with a small dev team the amount of variety between the characters and the amount of content in it is pretty impressive.

FEH's gacha is all sorts of messed up before the guaranteed 5*. Dragalia is probably the best one since every 10 roll increases the SSR rate maxing out at 14% and after 60 rolls you're guaranteed a 5*.

Anyways, original ips have to be generous because there's no brand to fall back on. Worst case scenario for something like IF would be like it ends support after the Othinus arc and it'll be a success because they made a quick buck and got people into the series/made its name known. FGO is the outlier because it was supposed to be """Nasu's final chaptertm""" to the series, and ultimately a massive fluke since they were weeks away from cancelling the game like the Apocrypha MMO

If it was just the next banner, that'd be one thing. But we've had multiple banners since then, and we've gone further and further from it with each progression. The banner after the Kanzaki/Mikoto one was the Kakine/Misaka Imouto one, which had one character that was temporarily limited, and another limited. There was no stage progression thing. The next one featured two limited battle characters, which was Saiai and Mugino. The next one took it even further, and gave us one battle character and the very first limited assist character (that wasn't essentially a freebie). And now we're at the next gacha which seems to have two more limited battle characters. It's not just the very next one, we've actually had 4 banners since the first one. If you include the previous rateups which didn't have the stage thing and that's 7 out of 8 rateups not having the stage thing. Is that not enough to suggest they've already done away with it?

Given how hard they've focused on Accel and Railgun even prior to its release compared to Index III and the amount of care they've given to promotion, it's clear Index III was a "we need to get it over with". Miki also talked about this and hinted at the situation when he said that they wanted to skip GRS Arc and go straight to NT. He also hinted at issues when he said it was difficult getting the production committee together prior to all of this and having his own company compared to Dengeki made it easier to contat them.
