I would wait to be with for her forever so long as I could see her beautiful smile and hold her hand as she tells me about all the things that bring her joy. Just that alone. That's all I want.

I took a moment to fap to her if that counts.

Heathen, begone.

I played some Age of Empires if that counts

10/10 would awkwardly say hi to her.

>Lewding the saint and disrespecting her vow of chastity instead of living out my days full of pure love for her and the Lord.

No thanks, bro.

Imagine awkwardly saying hi to her once after church on a sunday morning, only for her mother to start talking to your mother while the two of you awkardly steal glances and then go your separate ways. Then the next week after church your mother tells you that she's a nice girl from a good family and that you should go say hi to her again and invite her over for dinner.

Jeanne wanted to return to her village, get married and become a mother. Just imagine being the lucky guy to marry her in a better world.

You're probably a Bong.

>Go home Gilles and/or Sieg

What if Jeanne saw the High Jump?

>French soldiers and nobles share a camp with her
>All of them thought she was beautiful, but believed desiring her sexually was sinful and therefore refrained from it

>Bongloids capture her
>Almost instantly try to rape her

Really makes you go "what an immoral and disgusting people", doesn't it?

There is a reason they are considered the 13th tribe

>Encourages dumb dragon to run off with grail and steal humanity's only chance at true salvation

Yeah no. Post Semiramis.

Amakusa is my absolute boy but lets not kid ourselves here, Semi is trash.

>Jeanne wanted to return to her village, get married and become a mother.

I-Is this true? Source please?

It is. She only fought because her country needed her

She was ask during her trial what she wanted to do after the war. That was her answer.

>steal humanity's only chance at true salvation
Doing what Amakusa was doing would have led to the timeline being pruned.

What a good girl. She deserved the world, man. Fuck the people that executed her, and fuck the people who just let it happen.

Reminder that Jeanne's life was literally an anime plot.

To be fair, he didn't know that. He just did what he thought was the best course of action narrow-minded as he might've been. I was actually on Jeanne's side myself but I could at least understand his feelings. Makes me wonder if he knew if he would have changed his plans or stayed true to them as he felt it would be better to let people live like that until that time came than continue on as they have.

No, not even that. If Jeanne were a fictional character, she'd be accused of being a Mary Sue. The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction at least has to make sense.

>Semiramis
>Trash

You take that back.

o look a jannu

Nope. Just another burger.

Nah. She's trash.

So a rogue bong?

She would probably commend Shirou's efforts.

I always wondered, how little would change if Jeanne was summoned by Shirou instead of Artoria. The plot wouldn't change. I swear, there'd be different dialog, though no practical differences.

Would Jeanne become Shirou and Rin's fucktoy?

Anal Saint.

Saloperie de japonais
vous avez ruiné jeanne d'arc

She dies to Cu

No, the original Fate/Stay Night would be the same as the censored versions. Jeanne would never consent to sex in a church, nor engage with homosexual intercourse with Rin. It'd be severe case of transfer dragon.

Shes so awful that to make her interesting they had to make her go crazy in the most recent event.

What happened ? I don't follow fgo anymore.

Yeah the luck stat, though if Nesu had a say he'd probably bring up something with magic resistance.
Not in this Catholic VN user! Now go pray at the altar for god's grace.

Au moins ils ont participé à la rendre plus populaire.

this is true BUT she earned loyal waifu status staying loyal to Shirou and actually protecting him while the rest of the Red Faction pretty much ditched him to settle their own scores.

Semi is a bad girl turned good girl and will devote everything to protecting you if you're nice enough to her. Also has a smile worth protecting. She also lets you sleep on her lap and pats your head while you sleep.

Attached: bestgril.jpg (1280x720, 86K)

Timeline pruning shit is dumb as fuck and I refuse to ever acknowledge it as canon.

>Interviewer asked Nasu & Higashide about why Jeanne hijack Leticia’s body rather than ritual summon. Nasu stated it was something broke the rule of HGW and corrupted the system.
>Nasu & Higashide admit it was silly idea in the first place. But they wanted Jeanne to have some disadvantages/weakness for herself due she was powerful servant and would be kinda “boring” if she summoned as spirit form and wanted to avoid fans calling her a mary sue.

kek.

Mais à quel prix?

>she was powerful servant
Is she actually that strong though? Even setting aside her stat sheet, which is admittedly considerable and worthy of a Saber just on raw power alone, she can't use her biggest NP reliably because she'll die if she does. She's continually trapped with one hand behind her back.

Agreed. Even without the pruning, Amakusa's wish would've fucked humanity in the long-run if we're being honest. The pruning thing just feels like an excuse to have him in the definite wrong rather than keeping things more morally grey.

>recent
>newfag wasnt here for TMitter
Bitch has always been crazy

>The relics of Jeanne, the peasant girl, were destroyed
>The relics of Saint Louis, the king, were left intact
Kinda fucked up when you think about it. Though the policy of the French Revolution was "if it's related to the kings, destroy it unless it has sufficient artistic value". I guess Saint Louis' relics were deemed to be of sufficient artistic value. Including his vest made of hairs he wore during repentance for some fucking reason. I guess the fact that she was only made into a national symbol by Napoleon in 1803 and only declared a saint in the 20th century also means a lot of people just forgot about her?

I mean, I'm glad that they were preserved, Saint Louis is probably my favorite saint, but it still boggles the mind that the Saint King's relics were unharmed while the Peasant Saint's relics were not. I ain't even sad tho, the acts of a saint and our memories of it are worth far more than petty material affairs.

She still has Luminosite Eternalle. It's a "lolno" defense against anything short of an Ea-type attack. And if she was using La Pucelle as a suicide attack in a HGW, it's also an EX-ranked attack that kills literally everything, you'd need an Avalon to block it.

Yes, she can only use it once, but she's still an extremely powerful Servant. Not the highest tier, but close.

Anime taught me that a pure Catholic girl like Jannu would engage exclusively in pure yuri relationships.

Attached: 55369210_p0.png (590x874, 497K)

Think about it like this. Luminosite no-sells pretty much any anti-fortress NP and she can tank multiple A-rank NPs with minimal damage to herself. She's resistant to curses and stuff that causes instant death with the blessings on her alone on top of EX-rank magic resistance. Has damn good stats. Knows the in and outs of every Servant in the war. Has something close to future sight. God himself is backing her up. Has command seals to weaken, or make other Servants commit suicide. No glaring weaknesses. And while La Pucelle can kill her, it still is a NP so powerful it can beat a black hole and still has enough power to destroy 80% of the Great Holy Grail(a CS boosted Excalibur barely destroyed a grail which was corrupted and considerably weaker than), as well as crippled Amakusa's right half of his body and left him with brain damage.

If it weren't for Amakusa's shenanigans and various circumstances, Jeanne would be a fucking monster.

>Jeanne D'arc
>Lesbian

Get go and stay go.

>God himself is backing her up
Which one?

no u

Attached: 1565844628221.png (589x1301, 1.07M)

The capital G one.

......Yes.

No but on the real she refers to it as the will of god but as a Servant it's the Counter-Force using her as an agent. ...Though the counter-force itself could be interpreted as what humans call 'god', so... I mean... shits iffy. especially if you get the various gods from other servant's mythos involved.

Knight's Gauntlets: Breedability +10
Knight's Leggings: Breedability +10
Knight's Milkers: Breedability +10

Same guy who empowered Solomon, David, Jesus, Moses, may or may not decide who King Hassan kills via Azrael the Angel of Death, and who let an angel teach Martha how to punch out Tarrasques.

It's less of matter of her being powerful and her just being able to tank multiple magic nukes and earth breaking strikes without a scratch. As long as it strikes her banner.
To put it in perspective, Berserker couldn't scratch her even if she were a saber. Casters most power spells would fizzle against her. The only bypass as mentioned that could be argued is Gae Bolg. With Revelation though a, personal skill, she wouldn't dare allow Lancer to get off his NP. Revelation would any attempt at subterfuge would be absolutely pointless. The dark grail would be only thing capable of doing anything against Jeanne.

People think Jeanne in Drifters might get a lesbian yandere after her in the form of Anastasia.

Chaque chose a son prix. Mais j'avoue m'être intéressé à Jeanne d'Arc grâce à Fate.

I loved playing that campaign.

I don't think so. God exists in the Nasuverse and multiple Servants refer to him, like Martha, Solomon or King Hassan. So Jeanne saying the voices she heard are God isn't unbelieveable.

smug

i honestly hope fgo gives them some more interactions now that sieg's personality's been refined and is actually pretty likeable now. because as much as i've grown from loathing both of them and this relationship i still feel it needs something...more. like, it has stuff to work with and on paper it should work but higa barely did anything to execute it properly so it feels tacked on rather than natural.

Literally best girl. We as a species did not deserve her.

I was not prepared for another Jeanne thread so soon

Attached: Good morning!.jpg (1200x848, 185K)

It's insane how perfect she was. I couldn't come up with someone better than her if I tried.

Attached: Best saint.jpg (850x1203, 287K)

>Low enthralling voice
An underrated trait for women

She was perfect in appearance, personality, voice, everything

Attached: Cool Jeanne.png (215x279, 100K)

So a second generation bong?

Why do they always make her fair if she was tanned with black hair?

Blonde hair and pale skin are more closely associated with purity

Attached: The most beautiful.jpg (538x742, 86K)

most blonde girls I know are whores though

Most unfortunately she died a virgin, no descendents of this wonderful lady were made.
They're all children of whores.

Associated, not are. Shame that purity is seen as a negative trait nowadays.

It's also a very Western trait in a lot of anime. Though it gets pretty retarded when an anime has a blonde gaijin character and all the Japanese characters comment on her blonde hair and how exotic it is... including the blonde Japanese character.

Attached: 1425062877282.jpg (1280x720, 101K)

What's the most you've done for Jeanne?
Right now I'm trying to write a story with a character partially based on her.

Attached: Cookie.jpg (729x1032, 882K)

No I am being literal, most Blondes I know have trade sex for money or favors regularly.

I went to Orleans. Seen the rebuilt house of where she lived and visit the cathedral.

Nice

Attached: Coats.jpg (676x1024, 57K)

It'd be nice if there a counterrevolution against this culture of debauchery in the west.
I know, those whores will procreate. Create more like themselves and you'll see less of the pious in the future as the glorifies these 'sexually liberated' women. I'm sure in the more socially liberal areas they won't prosecute the concubines or hookers.

Attached: Popsicle.jpg (850x1203, 220K)

When i was there, the main road leading to the cathedral had hanging the coat of arms of all the knights that followed her exept our boi Gilles.

RIP Gilles, but it's understandable. I assume they also hung up her coat of arms?

Yes inside the cathedral it was pretty cool.

Nice. Her CoA is very pretty.

I think it's still a debate between historian.

But irl miyamoto iori wasn't musashi's biological son right?

Strong unlike Jeanne? She was a peasant, she likely did as much labor as any warrior did user.

>jeanne
>strong
she's fucking dogshit

Doesn't even matter, Milfsashi liked to fuck shotas and bishis. She liked to ride them and look at their cute faces as they came.

>could travel almost a whole week in her armor
>got hit in the face with a rock while climbing a ladder without slowing down
>crushed the testicles of someone who tried to rape her with a kick
>was very good with her sword and lance
>was a farm girl who helped her father out a lot
>was said to have a very nice and defined musculature
Jeanne was /fit/

They had a court assess the evidence against him under a modern standard, and it was found that there wasn't anywhere near enough to convict him.

Why do they always make them fat?

IRL Jeanne had large breasts

Attached: Large chest.jpg (850x1110, 152K)

Don't forget crushing a Britbong noble's dick with a closing door.

So zerobotcher was unironically correct about him being framed for political reasons?

We're unlikely to know the truth, just that the evidence against him was not enough for a modern court to convict.

It was either that or a kick, I thought. Either way, she knows how to defend herself.
She also jumped out of a high tower in an attempt to escape. She broke her leg, but they still had to prevent her from shambling away.

Attached: Gym clothes.png (864x1405, 620K)

I mean as a servant you fags

She still is a top defensive servant and also a ruler with command seals. Plus suicide nuke

>I always wondered, how little would change if Jeanne was summoned by Shirou instead of Artoria. The plot wouldn't change. I swear, there'd be different dialog, though no practical differences.

Most of this post is quite wrong. For one thing, Jeanne would have no problems dealing with Angra Mainyu because she's like Gilgamesh and can't be blackened by it. Gilles' attempt to make a blackened Jeanne in FGO with the Holy Grail of Orleans just created a literal fanfiction character instead.

Furthermore, Jeanne is probably better equipped than Artoria to give Shirou advice about the merits of heroism and sacrifice. Artoria has a hard time talking about the matter because she failed completely to accomplish what she was trying to do despite devoting herself wholeheartedly to it; what's more, she was abandoned by her spouse and best friend right before that and half of the country chose to follow her traitorous bastard son in rebellion. All of these things have made her doubt the value of her life and legend, at least in the beginning. Jeanne is different. While she also was not personally rewarded in her own lifetime for all that she did, Jeanne ultimately succeeded at saving France. She has absolutely no doubts about whether the cause she championed or the actions she took were ultimately correct, and she would be able to inspire Shirou in a way that Artoria could not.

If you say that

I think that's noted in Apocrypha, the girl she possessed had a small chest than her actual size.
Don't matter, she could still wipe Musashi out with a suicide attack if the battle's that desperate.

genderbend modern fate waifu wank bs. no fucking thanks.

she could literallty do nothing to stop him

>your final sight will never be her tearful face obscured by her divine breasts

>Don't matter, she could still wipe Musashi out with a suicide attack if the battle's that desperate.
yeah if musashi gave her 10 minutes to activate her NP maybe

Attached: Lotion.jpg (1000x1403, 859K)

are you going to tell us who it is?

>British cocksleeve
>perfect

He would have been better if it had actually just been Shirou raised by Kotomine

No servant except astolfo is dumb or reckless enough to rush in during an opponent's np even during the chant due to what a mixed bag they can be and not knowing how long a chant can last if it's necessary at all and not a fakeout though. That's why servants tend to prefer to risk countering it with their own nps instead of trying to run in during their activation because most cant be as lucky as Iskander running headfirst into excalibur thinking he could outpace it.

You know, given that Takeuchi based Jannu on a french chick he knew in college, some Frog weaboo has probably jerked it to his mom without knowing

don't drag the best fate character into this mess

Jeanne d'Arc, the Maiden of Orleans, the Maid of Lorraine, the Commander of the French Military, the Angel of France, Joan of Arc, Jehanne!

Attached: Age of Empires.jpg (1920x1080, 403K)

As said, even if she couldn't, magic resistance is still arguable Gae Bolg may still be partially countered as Saber resisted its effects with just an A ranked luck perimeter. An EX skill maybe enough to counter a B or B+ Noble Phantasm.

Gay bulge is also a cursed/demonic np and weapon, which she can pretty much negate like she did to Jack's NP.

I doubt that musashi would just sit still and let jeanne complete the incantation.
She would at least use her NP and even if she doesn't
>Battle continuation EX
she'll be fine

Name a girl more capable of making an entire empire seethe with her mere existence

Attached: Onwards to victory!.jpg (846x582, 239K)

Most people would barely have been able to crawl, and she jumps out a tower, survives instead of dying or breaking her neck, and is still trying to escape.

I know who she is, dumbass, the picture is unrelated to the topic though

I tried but I cannot, I literally cannot.

The British had more reason than any to declare her not a virgin, as it would be a crippling blow to French morale. Even they were forced to admit that she was unsullied.

That and she pulverised the balls of anybody who tried.

I might know that user's reference. In Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star. After defeating Ruler in Lancer's side story, in the text it reference's Gae Bolg piercing Jeanne's heart. Although that source is questionable at most. As mentioned, it's a side story and not canon to the games true ending.

Elizabeth Tudor. She made the Spanish Empire seethe at her existence.

This. All the meme excuses have been tried and they've failed, from her being a whore to her being insane to her being a heretic. Everything was tried, all of it fell flat on its ass. There's a reason why she was sentence to death for crossdressing: that's the only thing that could be proven (and even then they had to ignore the already established precedent that the church deemed women crossdressing in times of war A-OK, as confirmed in her post-mortem retrial).

Simply reading the thread is enough to tell we are talking about the French Saint of War, user! Assuming we do not care for the original because we post pictures of not the best Japanese versions of her is unneeded!

I read that her executioner was extremely worried for the consequences on his immortal soul, even he knew she was innocent

I absolutely love my wife Jeanne

Attached: Sip.jpg (1715x2048, 347K)

And then the Pope declared the whole trial null and void half a century later and excommunicated everybody involved for being such a horrendous embarrassment.

The way I heard of it, while the initial charges of him being like a satanist and all the Prelati stuff were trumped up, they found out afterwards that he'd done a lot of actual crimes.

Kinda wish to see a manga depicting her life in a more serious fashion.

I think that's just something the movie "The Passion of St. Joan" made up, where the executioner states
>We have executed a saint
Of course the movie was banned in Britain

Fucking Britbongs.

>banned
The eternal Anglo

>BBC also released a documentary insisting she was a schizophrenic figurehead

Attached: True best girl.png (2228x1588, 2.65M)

Haven't watched that one yet. Been meaning to.

Does Yea Forums have a patron saint yet?

>Entire nation still seething over one 19 year old girl this many years later

Why was Jeanne so based?

Jeanne is the patron saint of Yea Forums.
She'd hate it.

Attached: Best girl.jpg (1920x1080, 3.26M)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_of_Alexandria
>In France, some unwed women who have attained the age of 25 wear richly decorated bonnets on the day of [Saint Catherine's] feast. This custom gave rise to the French idiom coiffer Sainte-Catherine ('don St. Catherine's bonnet'), to describe an unmarried woman between the ages of 25 and 30.[30]

Attached: 1407209585382.jpg (1366x768, 252K)

For once, Yea Forums was actually based.

I'll add that to the Yea Forums factbook.

I saw it. The historical revisionism was repulsive and rage-inducing.

Brit's slowly becoming more indoctrinated by their state.

>servant
Those are just inferior versions,so real jeanne is better

>English: “S-she’s just a glorified cheerleader!”
>mock them for losing to a cheerleader

>mock them for losing to an actually crazy person or point out that she showed no signs associated with schizophrenia outside of the Voices
>English: S-she's just a figurehead!
>Point out all the evidence to the contrary, including official English documents

>mockingly congratulate them for being so humiliated in court by an illiterate peasant girl that you burn her at the stake for crossdressing

>tfw an entire nation was made a laughing stock by a single 19 year old girl and no matter how they spin it you can just mock them even more

You've never worked as a historian if you think that. Ever since the postmodern turn, revisionism is the name of the game. There is no sacred cow that has not been challenged to some extent.

Excuse me, sir, but you seem to have attached the wrong image to your post.

That's what historians believe, too

Can confirm. t.historian.

My line of thinking was more like restoring the truth but I suppose you are right. Jewish influence must be removed

Attached: Jeanne a best.png (640x1065, 1.08M)

Problem is that the idea of there being a truth is no longer accepted. There is merely interpretations of what might have happened. Nobody here truly knows all the details of Jeanne's life, all we have are the scraps written down by people at the time, scraps that are colored by the biases of the people doing the writing. It's like making a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing and the other half in a variety of different shades and colors. With all that there's plenty of room for interpretation. Look at how Shakespeare wrote Jeanne in Henry VI, compared to similar French texts of the time. Same events, different interpretations.

>Chadzure Lane

>From 1434 to 1440, Jeannes’s brothers passed an imposter off as their sister, claiming she’d escaped execution.
>One of several women who posed as Jeanne in the years following her death, Claude des Armoises resembled the well-known heretic and had supposedly participated in military campaigns while dressed in men’s clothing. She and two of Jeanne’s brothers, Jean and Pierre, crafted a scheme in which Claude presented herself to the people of Orléans, pretending to have fled her captors and married a knight while living in obscurity. The trio received lavish gifts and traveled from one festive reception to the next until Claude finally admitted their subterfuge to Charles VII, whose ascension Jeanne had engineered in 1429. Despite their involvement in the deception, Jean and Pierre played key roles in successfully petitioning Pope Callixtus III for Jeanne’s retrial, having presumably given up the charade of her survival by the 1450s.

Ah, so this is why that one user was saying Jeanne escaped and hid away from the war.

Most likely is the reason why there's a pretty widespread theory that Jeanne survived the trials.

Doubtful, FGO doesn't seem to like doing anything with welfare servants unless they either get a version you can roll for or there is a sequel to their event. On the other hand at least Chloe has an interlude, so perhaps it's possible.

That was before nasu decided to retroactively fuck everything about his other works with that retarded pruning shit.

Attached: Beautiful commander.jpg (850x1397, 290K)

It seems unlikely that Sieg and Jeanne's relationship will get expanded on beyond what we've already gotten, because they really want to cash in on the "Waifu is for (you)" crowd

Does it need to be said?

>Counter Guardians now pointless, Alaya can just delete any bad ends
Good job Nasu.

There are still a few heathens out there

>sorry! Camelot is TIME-LOCKED, completely invalidating Saber even being in F/SN.

Doesn't it also invalidate Mordred's wish too?
Nasu just can't fucking leave well enough alone.

Funnily enough I think Arthur may be the first and perhaps only example of where they literally changed lines to make them for the player. Off the top of my head pretty much every female servant who died while on good terms with their husband is still loyal to them.

Attached: Jeanne bikini poster.jpg (675x1200, 125K)

Counter guardians get called to clean up, oh wait it's pruned because the damage was already dealt. types were called to earth because earth was dying, oh wait it's pruned because the damage was already dealt. Arc awakens to fight something requiring her match+1 power, oh wait it's pruned because the damage was already dealt. Excalibur is required to kill some ayylmao, oh wait it's pruned.
>there is no working system in place to intercept threats before it gets to pruning point
>every system the world creates is made to clean up after the threat already arrives and is already destroying everything
The only real threats that are even threats are shit like Goetia and mathtist where they abuse the system to where it won't just prune it. oh and wouldn't you know it, those same villains aren't detected by any of the anti-threat systems.

the fucking
worst decision ever.

Attached: 1563370841615.jpg (288x499, 22K)

It's fucking infuriating that something that basically ruins the series was slapped onto a shitty Musou and a Mobile game and we have to deal with it as canon.

>Excalibur is required to kill some ayylmao
Except that literally happened in the same game where pruning timelines was introduced

You don't need to look to outside materials like Extella and questionably concepts like pruning to understand why Amakusa is definitely wrong. All of what you need to know is already told to you in Apocrypha. Amakusa's plan boils down to using the Greater Grail to lobotomize all of mankind. He wants to do this because, despite what he says about forgiving all of his enemies, he has not gotten over the outcome of the Shimabara rebellion even slightly. He refuses to blame God for its failure; instead, he wholeheartedly believes that the fundamental nature of man is evil and that humanity is beyond redemption unless the fundamental nature of humanity is first changed. This is why his position is not defensible in the end--for all of his talk about wanting to save humanity, what lays at the core of his motivations is that he cannot live with his cause having been defeated and is unable to accept that some people use their personal agency to act shitty. Only edgy teenagers or the seriously retarded would believe that someone who wants to use coercion to remake the character of mankind to fit his ideals and who actively despises the notion that people will choose good over evil with their free will is somehow "in the right."

Attached: Beloved saint.jpg (599x682, 72K)

If you count God as an anti-threat system than Goetia was detected.

Yeah too bad in my FGO timeline the master of Chaldea got bored somewhere in Camelot and killed themselves.

Of all the depictions in fate the annoy me. Its blonde Joan of Arc. Literally one of the most recorded person in the world with consistent depictions of dark brown hair. Nope she's gotta be blonde

Nips think all frogs are blond and beautiful, yadda yadda Paris syndrome.
It's less of a Joan d'Arc thing and more of a Japanese cultural thing. Nips fucking love France.

Japan thinks all foreigners are blonde

Attached: Angry French commander.jpg (752x1063, 88K)

If it was just left to extraverse it wouldn't have been too terrible. the shit is completely retarded to begin with, but now it's in FGO which is the only thing that apparently matters anymore so it's canon.

Which didn't get pruned for ??? reasons despite qualifying for being pruned because the damage was very high and would've set humanity back too far compared to other lines.

What Amakusa wants isn't really all that different from what Goetia wants. If Goetia is evil, then so too is Amakusa. In a sense, perhaps Kiritsugu also wanted the same thing.

It's almost like the pruning is the absolute final step and there's still room for the other methods

Remember how the counter force influenced Shiki into dealing with Araya? Just because Archer exists doesn't mean that suddenly isn't still a thing

yeah wtf is even the point of Counter Guardians and Grand Servants if there's a multiverse and Alaya can just delete shit?

FUCKING THIS.

Adding on to this, he also wanted to force immortality onto people. As someone realizes they have no value---that their life is stopped, then their meaning of existence disappears too.
Immortality is also another word for death.
With the kind of immortality that the Heaven's Feel gives, every man would be an island unto himself, essentially. You wouldn't need to interact with people for anything, not for food or water, not for WiFi, you wouldn't need a home, you wouldn't need sex, you might not even be able to interact with anybody.

It'd be like being in a videogame you can't ever close or leave, after you've finished all non-repeating quests, finished the main story, completed the DLCs, collected every unique, finished every NPC storyline and then murdered them all, and now there's nothing left to do but work on trying to find glitches that make you fall out of the world.

I think the worst thing about Amakusa's wish is that it's also complete unknown- it could be the greatest thing to ever happen to humanity, but it could also be the thing that turns us all into living zombies that just can't die, no matter how much we want to, and nobody has a choice in the matter. Amakusa didn't bother with a poll, an opt-in or a Y/N option, he just went "Yep there's no way this could go wrong", and dropped it on us all. When Jeanne calls him out on it, he just says 'so be it! if that'll save mankind'. He has such tunnel vision on his goal he refused to accept that he could ever be in the wrong. You don't need the pruning bullshit to oppose Amakusa's goal, but at least there was still some room for debate and brought up questions you could consider until the pruning shit came up and said 'lol nope he's just wrong' which robbed Apo of so much narrative weight.

Timeline prunning is supposed to be a last resort against threats that fucked up the human order and were too much for anything else to work.

have french ancestry and i burned my hand once.

>Remember how the counter force influenced Shiki into dealing with Araya? Just because Archer exists doesn't mean that suddenly isn't still a thing
>Remember the implications of the Counter Force is what actually guided Jannu to be successful in war despite her having no war experience whatsoever and why she projects so hard on Sieg because the Counter Force/Will of the Lord is guiding and using him as a tool the same way she was and while she was okay with her fate she didn't want that for another person?
>Remember the implications that the Counter Force set events in motion for Shiki to obtain the MEODP in the first place and deal with Roa and Nero who would have became threats to the weakening human order?
>Remember the implications of the counter force pretty much being what caused Shirou to develop his abilities that counter Gilgamesh and led him to be the lynchpin in the grail war to prevent another tragedy like what occured in Zero on a larger scale?

There are a limited number of timelines.

You aren't making your case any better.

So what, free will doesn't exist?

Think of it this way: there's no functional difference between humanity fucking itself up and dying out and the universe erasing that timeline. Either way, they're gone. If the timeline weren't pruned, all it'd mean is that there's just one more dead world.

Sadly, this is the limit of knowledge most people have of Jeanne

Attached: Sleepy.jpg (2112x1449, 1.91M)

Why does humanity now have absolute priority in the Universe?

They don't. Strictly speaking, the timeline of one world doesn't affect the timeline of another world. It's some weird quantum mechanics thing. Gaia only has authority over its own timelines.

Because the counter force is a defensive mechanism born of the collective unconscious will of mankind

That's
Fucking
STUPID.

Why the fuck would you expect the Counter Force of HUMANITY to affect other planets?

Attached: Lying in bed.jpg (1840x1183, 1.13M)

IT'S TIME
WHY DOES EVERY PLANET HAVE TIMELINES THAT MAKES NO SENSE

Counter Guardians don't even show up unless humanity is absolutely getting genocided. Does the counter force push people to do certain things to stop that from happening or do they just send their janitors to clean that mess up before everyone dies?

it just works

Attached: 196428-mw_creature_vivec.jpg (960x960, 84K)

so wait, what happens to an Earth timeline thats pruned but another planet with a Counter Force is doing fine? does Earth just disappear or is it replaced with an unfucked timeline?

Something something quantum mechanics. According to Nasu, the reason humans can't see alien life is because we're not yet capable of observing them. The rules between different worlds are too different, so where we see a barren wasteland of a planet, it may actually be teeming with life.

Because each planet is actually a giant reality marble that influences physics and the laws of nature on that planet.

I'm not sure where that places the sun, admittedly.

Attached: Hey there.jpg (752x1062, 933K)

Most alien lifeforms literally can't observe humanity. If a tree falls in a forest yadda yadda yadda.

>Alaya, the will of humanity
>"Humanity is doing very well in this timeline, it's a utopia!"
>deletes
Woah

Well, yes...but actually no.

Human Order only cares about advancement. If humanity stagnates for eternity, it's not worth feeding energy to that world line to keep it going.

So you mean to say the system makes no sense and Nasu should give up writing forever?

i thought they delete it because since its a utopia, there will be no more progress, ergo, its dead

So we should basically have endless war?

Attached: Prettiest saint.png (800x766, 558K)

he added shit that contradicts stuff he wrote before and now either there's no free will or the Counter Force is retarded

idfk man, ask Nasu, guess war is good if theres progress

>lewding the Patron Saint of Europe
ABSOLUTELY
HERETICAL

Attached: 1559556472417.jpg (720x480, 95K)

It technically exists, but since the world can't literally fuel an infinite number of timelines, choices of minimal consequences are ignored. Honestly, most of the purged timelines are the result of bad decisions made by things other than humanity anyway. A large chunk of the Lostbelts are just the gods being retarded and fucking over humanity forever.

What does Yea Forums think of St. Olga?

Attached: St. Olga.jpg (366x1000, 74K)

so what are Gods supposed to be in the Nasuverse? Are they beings Gaia made or Humanity made?

>not making a move on jeanne's mom (who clearly has great genetics) and making more jeannu's to grace the world

Attached: 1f49bcc3b3b7c73697c466990d052ac0.jpg (696x637, 56K)

That's fucking stupid.
I'm never acknowledging this garbage as canon.

It's not so much that humanity is doing well that causes the deletion.
It's that when it becomes a utopia for everyone nothing can, nor has any reason to, advance anymore. Stagnation set in and things are locked in an eternal status quo. Thus it's reached it's end and there's no point in letting it go on anymore.

i couldn't ask for a better waifu to avenge me

The best way I have seen another work of fiction express the same argument was in Lord of the Rings. When Saruman reveals to Gandalf that he has gone over to the side of Sauron and calls himself Saruman of Many Colors, Gandalf's reply is "I liked white better." Saruman's response is to give a speech about how white is just a beginning of/absence of color and that adding other colors to white makes it greater than what it once was. Gandalf's rebuttal is just "In which case it is no longer white."

In the same vein, mortality and agency are two of the defining characteristics of what it means to be human. By taking them away from humanity like what Amakusa wants to do, you have eliminated humans as a species and made something else that has the same shape. The worst part of it all is what you mentioned--after forcing an irrevocable change that would wipe out humanity without any consideration for the individual consent of the involved, there is no guarantee that the resulting outcome would work in the way that Amakusa had envisioned or that it would even be a positive one in real terms.

Nice

What about the big G?
Doesn't he get special treatment in the nasuverse?

every single big G in all mythologies get special treatment in the nasuverse

As much of an optimist who believes in the innate goodness of humans as I am, I'm not blind to the reality that humans can be hypocritical pieces of shit. As far as I'm concerned Amakusa is just as much of a saint as Joan was.

Top tier wife

All deities get special treatment, though big G seems to be above absolutely everything in universe.

When you set out to rid yourself of an enemy, do so totally. Even Jeanne would massacre those who did not surrender at her command.

Attached: A beautiful saint.jpg (984x1403, 681K)

Big G is probably connected to the Root in some way.

why does it feel like Abrahamic religions are absent in the Nasuverse? Feels like they should be more important since they are the most popular religions

Nah he's above it probably or unrelated to it like the gods.

What are you talking about? St. Georgios, St. Martha, St. Jeanne d'Arc, King David, King Solomon.

>All deities get special treatment
*Jobs to Sefar*

Nasu's approach seems to be of mirroring the post christianity god of feeling in some ways, but not showing or openly interfering in most ways

I'm talking about Yahweh and Jesus, feels like Nasu goes out of his way to not go more indepth on them, though you are right on Solomon though

further cements post christianity god's policy of non interference

inb4 the FGO protagonist is actually some physical manifestation of the root

YHWH is connected to Solomon and Jeanne. YHWH was the one who told Solomon to fling his ring into the future. Jesus is probably a Savior-class like Buddha and therefore can only be summoned by his own will.

Martha seems to be a high class servant through merely knowing big J, and faith alone, pretty impressive

At the siege of Jargeau, 700 English soldiers defended the town. Jeanne came out and told them to surrender. When they did not, she simply promised, "You will be massacred."
And then Jeanne kept her promise.

Attached: Legs.jpg (700x990, 125K)

Big E ever returning also means the end of the world, see revelation

wait when you say choices of minimal consequences are ignored are you saying the world can just choose not to create those timelines? why doesn't the world simply not just create only a limited amount of timelines in the first place? also the idea that the world has to fuel timelines seems dumb

Angl*'s aren't human
I'm sure she didn't harm the civilians

Choices of minimal consequence, like choosing raspberry jam over strawberry for your morning toast, aren't significant enough to create their own timelines.

yeah but that kinda begs the question as to how powerful YHWH is if he had the foresight to know that Solomon would need his rings in the future

It's kinda scary to think how broken would the twelve Apostles be if they were summoned as Servants, considering they hanged out with Jesus 24/7 and were the firsts to receive the Holy Spirit.
Probably they'd have a Divinity of A+ or even more.

Oh no, you mean I can't have both after all?

Jeanne was a bit of a tease sometimes. She'd joke about her friends' drinking habit and just joke and laugh a lot in general. During her trial, she got into an argument with the minute keeper. She stated that the inquisitors had already asked her a question at an exact time, which the minute taker denied. When he looked through his notes, he discovered that Jeanne was correct. She then teasingly said that she ought to pinch his ears if he made a similar mistake again.
You remember Jeanne's favorite weapon besides her banner, right?

Dolphins?

I find it funny how all the flavour text in Fate is very interesting yet FGO and the spin offs after it are still shit writing wise.

No, she never used the Dauphin as a political tool outside of crowning him the king of France. She did, however, love using cannons. With her cannons, she would force towns to submit without ever having to get into a battle.

>the spin offs after it
Fuck off Camelot/Zero was good

I believe only one of them didn't die murderous deaths too, interesting to see how martyrdom would be functioned it
It seems the Knights of the Round Table are the single strongest group so far, interesting to see how much service nasu is giving to christians

>Counter Guardians don't even show up unless humanity is absolutely getting genocided. Does the counter force push people to do certain things to stop that from happening
That's pretty much what Ryougi, Tohno, Shirou, Jeanne, Sieg, and Hakuno are and why things seem conveniently set-up for them
to succeed(abilities, allies, or events lining up) in dealing with a certain threat. People tend to forget this and shout Plot Armor when it's literally the mechanics of the universe. But I digress. Anyways, when or in the event should these individuals fail in their purpose though for whatever reason, then in that case that's when the Counter Guardians show up and clean things up.

why is she so perfect

To make you sadder that she died so young

Attached: Relaxing cup.jpg (774x1110, 120K)

No. The choice you make is most likely absolute in those situations.

Also, individual people don't tend to be all that different between timelines. There is most likely no timeline in which, say, Emiya Shirou becomes a con artist, nor a timeline in which Tohsaka Rin becomes a veterinarian. There might be some deviations, like say differences in gender and such, but the choices you make throughout your life in different timelines aren't likely to diverge very drastically. I mean, both the female and male King Arthurs are by and large very similar people with similar tastes and interests.

Wow, male author fucks nippon gingers too?

He fucks a Nippon glasses girl.

She's the living proof that 3D women actually have waifu potential.
Which makes the current timeline even more depressing. I hope we get pruned someday.

-In UBW, she'd be an interesting foil to EMIYA as their heroic quests led them down similar doomed pasts. Redman would get it in her head that her efforts will just doom her Master by "inspiring" him, but Shirou's rejection of his cynicism would also inspire her to keep going.
-Kirei would also talk smack about how for all her holiness, she waged war where the Lord's Word was violated nonetheless
-Gilgamesh would be disgusted over how she's a martyr as it is an insult to his ubermensch/anti-god principles. And that if she was so interested in helping her people, then she should have been ruling them instead of merely dying for them
-In Heaven's Feel, because she cannot be corrupted, like Gilgamesh, she would just be killed by Dark Sakura/Angra Mainyu in HF, but she would try to use La Pucelle to weaken the abomination in her final moments as she tells Shirou not to give up

She dies to Cu
Shirou dies to one of the million times that he should have but didn't due to Avalon

Many say he died of a broken heart due to the stress Jeanne's execution caused him.

And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man was able, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to look on it

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it.

Fate/Zero
-Kiritsugu and her have a rather amicable Master/Servant relationship as her skill set compliments his more subversive tactics and as a soldier from a very dirty war, she understands the need for such cunning
-Lancelot constantly tries to murder her because of her resemblance to Artoria
-Gilles is torn between his loyalty to her and how much he enjoys being a villain. He eventually has a true breakdown when he realizes that Jeanne's God could not save her and Prelati's gods could save neither himself nor Gilles so are they equally viable or worthless? His final battle is meant to test which faith is more valid.
-She forms a close relationship with Iri and Kiritsugu's order to destroy the Grail with La Pucelle causes Jeanne an immense amount of grief. This motivates her to try and protect Illya in the following war, a goal that is likewise doomed to fail
-a brief scene where she and Kirei cross paths and they talk about God, righteousness, morality, etc.
-she is disgusted by Iskander's hedonism at first, but they bond over their mutual fascination with the sea and the fabled Okeanos
-Also, Jeanne is immune to Diarmuid's Love Mark charm magic since she's pure. This causes Diarmuid to become infatuated with Jeanne, not romantically but out of respect. Sola Ui misinterprets this and becomes exceedingly jealous and impulsively uses her Command Seals she took from Kayneth to force Diarmuid to make love to her. Kayneth, after getting the additional Command Seal from Kotomine Risei and killing him, is confronted by Kiritsugu. Kiritsugu had Maiya spy on Sola Ui and discovered the affair between her and Diarmuid. This along with Kayneth being crippled in his dual with Kiritsugu, causes him to go insane and use his one Command Seal to make Diarmuid murder Sola Ui and commit suicide. Kayneth, with no hope of winning the Grail and no reason to live, shoots himself in the head.

Saber was as autistic as Shirou was and her ideal was as retarded as his. Jeanne had no such problem because she did manage to reach her objective of saving France, and unlike Archer, she had no regrets regarding her death.
She'd probably be stuck on the role of Shirou's psychiatrist the whole route.

14 And the four Seraphim said: Amen. And the four and twenty ancients fell down on their faces, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever.

How the fuck would Shirou make it to the Reverse side? There's no convenient deus ex machina like Merlin around.

Supposedly one of the brothers at least felt guilty about eventually named his son after Jeanne. Sadly, his name was something like "The Maid" so his name literally meant virgin. I get he wanted to honor Jeanne, but he should've just named the kid the male version of Jeanne's name. Or you know, name him after the angel Micheal that supposedly spoke to Jeanne.

There's a rumor that the "imposter" had identical handwriting to Jeanne's, which would be very hard to explain if true. But there's so many legends and rumors regarding Jeanne it's hard to separate fact from fiction with her at times.

absolutely Jeannnificent

>he also wants her to live for herself and find happiness rather than live as a Martyr
Jeanne is not Saber. It was obvious that Saber's wish was stupid, self destructive and filled with needless regret. Apocrypha and FGO showed that she was perfectly fine with how things went in the end and she doesn't regret anything. She doesn't have that sort of conflict in her character, hence why she doesn't want or need the Grail in the first place.
In the end I really doubt Jeanne and Shirou would be able to reach an mutual understanding like with Saber. They're way too different.

To be honest I really want to see a conversation between Jeanne and Kirei

Jeanne wasn't the type to sit still long enough for a portrait, so many artists who had never seen her guessed at her appearance. Some did portray her as blonde or even red haired.

In Japan's case, I think they're just depicting her as the stereotype of how they view the French. However, Hirano did do something different by making Jeanne flat-chested which is very historically inaccurate. I guess he just wanted the running gag of Jeanne being mistaken for a man.

God.

Attached: Field of blades.png (1000x1106, 2.1M)

Jean and Michael are pretty cool names

would Kirei actually go against Jeanne? I mean yeah Kirei is Kirei but his faith is very important to him

Why would God give a shit? He gave Solomon a pretty raw fucking deal.

also blonde hair makes her look more holy

and yet Solomon still got his wish

But either way, yeah, Jeanne is definitely a Servant that I'd imagine would have good compatibility with Shirou. Like if Fate featured Masters getting an entire team of Servants instead of just one, Jeanne seems like a pretty good candidate for Team Shirou.

>tfw Jeanne gifts Gille with one more embrace before he descends into hell for his atonement

Attached: Fate.zero.full.1076355.jpg (1200x1120, 1.35M)

yeah they both wanna die for people, they have a lot in common

Amakusa was also supposed to venerate Jeanne given she's his elder and a patron saint of his faith
I remember hearing Kirei say something about defying God in the recent HF II movie however

Jeanne wasn't expecting to die. She wanted to have a family after the war was over. She just accepted her end.
On the other hand, Shirou did want to live and die as Kerry did because of some deep seated trauma of his. There's a difference.

Also makes sense sabers his servant given her only wish is to fucking die

So what's the story of Jeanne's arranged marriage? Supposedly the guy thought she agreed to marry him or her father set it up without consulting her. Then the guy took her to court due to her not going along with it. She won and then since he couldn't be with her he killed himself or something.

Saber and Jeanne would probably get along pretty swimmingly for a Brit and a Frenchie.

Based user

Jeanne doesn't even want to die for people like Shirou does. She just wants to protect people and the future, but she's not suicidal nor driven by survivors guilt or an emptiness, but genuine altruism and a sense of duty. She's not going to go out of her way to get killed, she'd only die for someone if there's literally no other choice unlike Shirou.

nero and saber however....

Attached: 20190320225427_1.jpg (1920x1038, 385K)

I find myself mostly agreeing with this. I think Kirei would be smacked around a good amount by Jeanne in the end. I think Shirou could be the virtuous foil to what Kirei became in the end.
As another user said earlier in this thread I feel like Jeanne would get along well with Iskander after a rocky start. She'd likely be reminded of the soldiers she served alongside in the hundred year war.
I think Emiya's relationship with Joan comes down to his servant-master bond dreams. Seeking a greater mutual understanding with her would probably lead him to becoming as infatuated with Jeanne as he had been with Saber.
Yeah, after much suffering he'd likely find his way to Jeanne. I wouldn't be surprised in this alternate continuity if Emiya became a saint.

Why is Nero so degenerate?

This is why to love the Extra series.

>Seeking a greater mutual understanding with her would probably lead him to becoming as infatuated with Jeanne as he had been with Saber.
She'd outright tell him that his dream is dangerous. And Shirou is known for reacting like an autist when someone forces him to face reality. I don't think Jeanne would be convinced by the "just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right" mental gymnastics.

I really like the androgynous sense of beauty that Wada draws Saber with. She's super cute and pretty, but you can also kinda see why people believed she was a boy.

>Jeanne gets revived
>Sees Charlemagne
>First response is to attack him to protect Hakuno
Nice

>she was a beautiful and simple and lovable character. In the records of the Trials this comes out in clear and shining detail. She was gentle and winning and affectionate, she loved her home and friends and her village life; she was miserable in the presence of pain and suffering; she was full of compassion: on the field of her most splendid victory she forgot her triumphs to hold in her lap the head of a dying enemy and comfort his passing spirit with pitying words; in an age when it was common to slaughter prisoners she stood dauntless between hers and harm, and saved them alive

Gotta love how even Yea Forums calms down whenever it's time of talking about Jeanne. Truly a saint!
Other threads would be filled with shitposting and seething Yea Forums crossboarders by this point.

Wada's art is great, it even gibs the Saberfaces some individual character.
His autism also gets removed 2 out of 3 routes in F/SN. If Sakura can get him to drop everything, I don't see why Jeanne would fail to sway him.

how is Jeanne and a fake version of Jeanne one of the best waifus in Fate?

Indeed. It's always inspiring to read through her actions and words. Her kind, determined nature that nonetheless applied the necessary force to take back her country. A paradox of perfection, she was.
Jeanne threads are great pretty much everywhere, because she offers something amazing to everyone. In general, she is basically a cute anime girl IRL, but with a strong personality. She is a kind girl in a place where many seek such kindness. Her strong conservative values appeal to /pol/, and her world changing actions appeal to those who want to learn more about her. She is fascinating and dear, and it's no wonder that so many people love her.

An hypothetical Jeanne route would honestly be no different than a regular HGW, because there's no understanding but no clash between ideologies either.

Cute design, nice personality and they are based on probably one of the best girls in history.
It's hard to fail.
>Her kind, determined nature that nonetheless applied the necessary force to take back her country.
You said it perfectly, my friend. Even Mark Twain had a soft spot for her.

She hated those prostitutes and sinners

In fiction Jeanne's often depicted as having regret over her sacrifice. The king she crowned abandoned her once he felt he no longer needed her.

So you get characters like Jeanne Alter, Jeanne from Clone High, and Jeanne from Drifters.

Once again Jannu threads are most comfy.

Attached: RulerLegs.png (1300x1839, 1.57M)

Nah. She just disapproved of their ways and wished better of them than living their lives in such a manner. Anger is not hatred, in fact, it can be a sort of compassion.

>If Sakura can get him to drop everything
Well, it kinda got replaced for a different autism, which was to protect the ones he love. The closest to that is Shirou in UBW but even then, Rin just managed to tone down his autism, but still wants to be a hero, just in a more healthy way.

Jeanne Alter isn't actually Jeanne, but a fake created via a wish to the Holy Grail who then became the personification of humanity's believe that Jeanne resented those who executed her.

She didn't really hate them. She was also kind to the prostitutes when they suffered losses. Though she supposedly broke a magic sword while beating a prostitute with it.

Je/a/nnu bestowing her infinite patience and tact on us

Attached: Screenshot (1).png (1920x1080, 1.65M)

Well, you got me there. Jeanne truly was without sin

I heard that Hirano might be going the at least the onesided yuri route in Drifters with Jeanne and Anastasia. Basically, Anastasia likes Jeanne but pretends not to care, but even Rasputin teases her about being pissed that Jeanne was "bullied" by the Drifters.

Agree, my brother.
Jeanne Alter is a really unique situation. While she was made from a wish, her esence is based on the one of the real Jeanne. Which is the reason why Gilles in his attempt to create an evil Jeanne, just created a sort of Chuuni dork Jeanne. She is that of a good person.

Fate is ahistorical bullshit, what's new? The references are there to provide background flavor only; if you're not using this series solely as spank material you are 100% doing it wrong.

After this I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands:

Attached: Joan.of.Arc.(Fate.Apocrypha).full.967559.jpg (1200x643, 76K)

And they cried with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and the ancients, and the four living creatures; and they fell down before the throne upon their faces, and adored God,

Attached: Joan.of.Arc.(Fate.Apocrypha).full.1319417.jpg (815x1140, 250K)

You don't understand. That one girl is arguably the only reason why England remained an inbred island until well into the Industrial Revolution. You could say she delayed the birth of the British Empire for at least 200 years. Based Jeanne dabbing on the eternal Anglo.

>all the rules fail in this girl's case. In the world's history she stands alone -- quite alone. Others have been great in their first public exhibitions of generalship, valor, legal talent, diplomacy, fortitude; but always their previous years and associations had been in a larger or smaller degree a preparation for these things.
>but Joan was competent in a law case at sixteen without ever having seen a lawbook or a court-house before; she had no training in soldiership and no associations with it, yet she was a competent general in her first campaign; she was brave in her first battle, yet her courage had had no education -- not even the education which a boy's courage gets from never-ceasing reminders that it is not permissible in a boy to be a coward, but only in a girl; friendless, alone, ignorant, in the blossom of her youth
>she sat week after week, a prisoner in chains, before her assemblage of judges, enemies hunting her to her death, the ablest minds in France, and answered them out of an untaught wisdom which overmatched their learning, baffled their tricks and treacheries with a native sagacity which compelled their wonder, and scored every day a victory against these incredible odds and camped unchallenged on the field
>in the history of the human intellect, untrained, inexperienced, and using only its birthright equipment of untried capacities, there is nothing which approaches this. Joan of Arc stands alone, and must continue to stand alone, by reason of the unfellowed fact that in the things wherein she was great she was so without shade or suggestion of help from preparatory teaching, practice, environment, or experience.
>there is no one to compare her with, none to measure her by; there have been other young generals, but they were not girls; young generals, but they had been soldiers before they were generals: she began as a general; she commanded the first army she ever saw; she led it from victory to victory

one of the most popular characters in the franchise is Jeanne and an evil version of Jeanne, they're so perfect bros

I wish more depictions of Jeanne would bring in La Hire. He was really close to Jeanne. And maybe Dunois too. I think at least two historical fictions had Dunois as having the hots for Jeanne.

14 And I said to him: My Lord, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he, that sitteth on the throne, shall dwell over them.

16 They shall no more hunger nor thirst, neither shall the sun fall on them, nor any heat.

The justification seems to be her efforts to spread Christianity, whereas you could argue the Shimabara Rebellion had little to do with Christianity. Could also simply be that no one in Japan has pushed for canonization to be looked into.

I feel the relationship would be platonic, not really romantic.

>Joan of Arc was not stuck at the cross-roads, either by rejecting all the paths like Tolstoy, or by accepting them all like Nietzsche. She chose a path, and went down it like a thunderbolt. Yet Joan, when I came to think of her, had in her all that was true either in Tolstoy or Nietzsche, all that was even tolerable in either of them. I thought of all that is noble in Tolstoy, the pleasure in plain things, especially in plain pity, the actualities of the earth, the reverence for the poor, the dignity of the bowed back. Joan of Arc had all that and with this great addition, that she endured poverty as well as admiring it; whereas Tolstoy is only a typical aristocrat trying to find out its secret. And then I thought of all that was brave and proud and pathetic in poor Nietzsche, and his mutiny against the emptiness and timidity of our time. I thought of his cry for the ecstatic equilibrium of danger, his hunger for the rush of great horses, his cry to arms. Well, Joan of Arc had all that, and again with this difference, that she did not praise fighting, but fought. We know that she was not afraid of an army, while Nietzsche, for all we know, was afraid of a cow. Tolstoy only praised the peasant; she was the peasant. Nietzsche only praised the warrior; she was the warrior. She beat them both at their own antagonistic ideals; she was more gentle than the one, more violent than the other. Yet she was a perfectly practical person who did something, while they are wild speculators who do nothing. It was impossible that the thought should not cross my mind that she and her faith had perhaps some secret of moral unity and utility that has been lost. And with that thought came a larger one, and the colossal figure of her Master had also crossed the theatre of my thoughts.

Please help me to listen to God and to you, dear Saint, that I may do what I am called to do. Please intercede on my behalf and beg God to take all my faults and turn them into virtues. I thank you for all you have done for me, and all the things you have interceded for on my behalf. Please continue to pray for me and for all the souls who need it.

Is that a new doujin? Where can I find the scan? The art is really great
Funny enough, though Sieg is a shitty self insert, I cant even tolerate Jeanne Gudao doujin except when the art is incredibly good. It just feels so wrong

It's fine. The Jeanne in Chaldea isn't the same Jeanne as from Apocrypha.

>She put strength into both her hands. Right now, Ruler’s flag was their only lifeline. Stifling her anguish and simply looking forward—Ruler simply endured the explosive maelstrom of light.

>It was like someone who opposed all the evil in the world.

>It was like someone who opposed a fallen star. It was like all humans who, despite being so small, opposed the thing before their eyes that they didn’t consider right.

>Filled with pride, willpower, anger or perhaps something else entirely, humans possessed hearts that could rise up with courage that surpassed their fear even in the face of overwhelming violence that slaughtered thousands of people.

>Watching her small back, Sieg was gripped by a heartbreak for some reason. He was fully aware that it was arrogant of him, but when he thought of the tragic tale of her life, he couldn’t discard those feelings.

>She had everything taken from her due to betrayal.

>Receiving the worst treatment conceivably possible for a human, and yet never cursing anything… the personification of a saint who never despaired.

>It would be fine if she cursed those who betrayed.

>He could understand if she hated them. But she had felt no hatred, resentment, or even regrets.

>For some strange reason, Sieg couldn’t stand that.

That's because there's no man worthy of her. Pairing her with anyone, be it Gudao or Sieg is unsettling. Shirou would be outright revolting.

Why not pairing her with (You)?

I pair her with Gudako. It's an abusive relationship.

That's typically what people go for. If no one is worthy, might as well fantasize that you are.

I'm not good enough for Jeanne

It's from the official FGO manga! The art is pretty on and off though. Sometimes it looks great, other times...not so much.

Is it at least wholesome?

Would you? She feels sacred. It's scary. I mean I'd totally go to war and follow her to the death but lewding her feels wrong.

Is anyone?

Is Shirou made to be flawed?

>not just resting on her lap and watching the sunset after a long day of working.

Attached: Smiling beauty.jpg (850x1202, 111K)

I would totally lewd her, which is why I'm a horrible person who should not be allowed to.

I want to quietly and softly pray to God next to Jeanne

>He couldn’t even let out a sigh of wonder.

>Illuminated by the faint light of daybreak that leaked through the gaps between the trees, her slightly swaying hair shone like golden silk threads. Her amethyst colored eyes were completely pure as they looked at him, rousing an unnecessary feeling of guilt in Sieg.

>She didn’t have the precise and molded beauty of a homunculus, or the kind of cuteness that made one’s heart flutter just by being nearby like Rider. She possessed a wondrous beauty that scarcely felt real.

>If asked whether she was an enemy or an ally, he would definitely conclude that she was an enemy. And yet, the thought of getting away from her was far from his mind. Was it like having one’s eyes enraptured by a work of art?

>They both remained silent. Meeting her gaze, Sieg’s mind was in chaos.

>“Thank goodness… I managed to meet you!”

>The instant the girl smiled and said that, Sieg thought to himself: Even if this girl was his enemy—or even if she cut off his head right here. Just being able to have seen that smiling face left him with no regrets.

tfw Sieg is unironically one of us

Attached: jannumeeting.jpg (645x889, 199K)

If she cried for me on my agonizing death throes I'd die a happy man. Honestly that's the closest to her I can imagine myself to be.

Jeanne with any men is pretty weird. I doubt any man is worthy and in a sense only God deserves someone so perfect like her.
This.

I hope Jeanne can forgive me for the sinful thoughts I have had, some of which were of her. I'm sorry, Jeanne. I wish I wasn't so lustful.

Same though I've come to tolerate and like Sieg in some respects after reading the novel. So I interpret their relationship more platonic than romantic. Feels more right. But seeing her with anyone especially Gudao just sits wrong with me.

Good night Jannubros. May the Lord bless all of you.

There are 2 FGO manga, one with shitty art and one with good art. The good art manga hasnt released any new chapters for a while. The shitty one is in Singularity 3 now (skip Rome). The shitty one has quite a few moments that are truly great. I like how the author handles Marie and Mozart

....Not really. Can't lie to you user. It's good for the art though.

Good night, user. Let's make her proud tomorrow and work out hardest.

Dunno. The have some pretty great interactions even if they limited, especially in the Temple of Time when she comes to the rescue of Gudao with the other heroes.
Orleans was okay.

Mila Jovovich is the definitve Jean!

They are limited*

Yes but it's more of a camaraderie thing. Battle hardened buddies but nothing sexual there.

Attached: White petals.jpg (3508x2480, 567K)

Never said it was sexual or something. But they have some fun shenanigans from time to time. Like the in the new Summer with the Casino.
Or her following Gudao while he was with Jeanne Alter.

Isn't Gudao or Gudako literally worse Shirou?

Attached: Petals.jpg (1600x900, 349K)

Not really, the autism makes Shirou a more interesting MC, but also fundamentally a broken person. The Gudas are saving the world out of true altruism, not because they're compensating for some trauma.

They're primarily designed around being a bland self insert. There are hints of personality in them, generally being a sarcastic little dickhead, but unlike shirou theres not even a hint of mental trauma

This. While Jeanne would find certain aspects of Shirou admirable, she could never come to approve or agree with his methodology enough to see him as more than a comrade she would have to worry about. Especially if she learned where it stemmed from. Gudao and Sieg, as much as I don't like either of them with her, fit better because they have a genuine sense of altruism and do the things they do out of their own will for their own reasons and beliefs because that's the type of people they are/became through their experiences. Shirou's not a bad guy by any means but that fundamental difference makes all the difference.

You're seriously devaluing Shirou there. Shirou's desire to save others is not somehow worth less than Sieg's or Guda's just because his ideals are borrowed.

Attached: Heavenly light.jpg (687x1024, 366K)

You're right. Thank you fellow Jeanneissur. I nearly lost sight of what's important in this thread.

The origin of his desire to save people is wrong. It's less of a desire to do good and more of a pathological inability to watch anyone suffer.
Let's put Shirou in the Gudas' place for a second.
>Singularity F, he tries to protect Mash from Saber Alter and dies/gets seriously wounded.
>Camelot, is uncapable of retreating when Gawain starts purging the refugees. Gets in a fight with Ozy and Gramps because he can't stand them not helping despite their power.
>Babylonia, unable to tell Quetz and Eresh off, refuses to leave the citizens when the Lahmu start attacking.
>Solomon, assuming his relationship with Mash is the same as the Gudas, he chooses to solo Goetia to save her and dies.

Oh no no, I'm not saying that it is. Sorry if it came off that way. I actually like Shirou alot, he's my favorite TM protag just after Shiki actually. I'm just saying he's wouldn't click with Jeanne as much because she makes it clear in Apocrypha(novel anime skipped alot of her best scenes that characterize her more) that she doesn't approve of someone devaluing the importance of their life and willing to sacrifice themselves for others so much for a belief that isn't their own. It's why she scolds constantly scolds Sieg when he's trying to just give his life in a way that honors Siegfried, since he was just as reckless as Shirou was until he started shaping albiet for different reasons and eventually moved away from that behavior after his fight with Karna. And unlike Sieg or Gudao, Shirou's ideals borrowed or not, to me, are a beautiful and fundamental part of who he is even if Jeanne or others might disapprove and I wouldn't want him to throw them away nor do I think he should.

Honestly surprised the thread hasn't died yet

Attached: Thumbs up.jpg (768x1024, 195K)

That's really got nothing to do with his ideal. That's just his nature as a result of the fire. Even if he didn't have the ideal, he'd still be a broken human who can't value himself above others. The ideal and nature simply bring and the worst in each other. He was simply dealt a poor hand.

>He was simply dealt a poor hand.
He really was. I genuinely just want him to find his own happiness one day. Not doing something for others, not by protecting someone else, or taking steps to fulfill his/kerry's dream. I just want him to smile for himself one day.

He can't. He literally can't. That's why it's so important for him to connect with someone. Without Saber/Rin/Sakura, he's doomed to become Archer.

Good night Jeanne Yea Forumsnons. Have a nice day.
