Dragonball

For you, where did the series end?

Attached: 77E84FFF-F73C-47BF-954E-5CAB8E66C4A0.jpg (391x870, 425K)

When Frieza git cut in half cuz 4kids wouldn't dub the rest

It should have ended at king piccolo

Majin Buu saga

It’s still ongoing.

Frieza is the most kino ending.
Officially it's the end of the manga so Buu Saga but would have preferred it to be at Frieza.

Where Z and the original manga ended.

this

Cell.

Attached: dbz_butoden2_c.jpg (220x193, 24K)

Z should have never happen. For me it ended with the original story.

Raditz' arrival

based

When master roshi destroyed the moon

When I first watched DB, a cable channel in my country would only air the Pilaf saga here. So to me it ended there.
I was mind-blown when they eventually got the rest of the series.

Attached: DBCromy.jpg (400x400, 19K)

Where Goku stopped being a loli.

Letting lolis age is surely wrong.

This is why G.T. was a masterpiece as it made him a loli again.

Cell arc had its stupid moments sure but it was the best ending, buu arc is nothing but retarded writing.

Frieza at most.

I'm really not autistic enough to pretend some part doesn't exist. But Super was released after so much time that I always so it more of a spin off then actually the same thing (it has nothing to do with the quality, really, even though Super is shit). So Buu saga it is.
It was stupid throughout, there's really not a single moment when it isn't stupid. But yeah, ending saves it, it manages to give some sort of satisfying conclusion to about everyone.

Frieza is the stupidest ending
Goku is just straight up MIA for no fucking reason
Everything about Gohan's development that only comes to a close in Cell is abandoned

And that's assuming you're not someone even more retarded who thinks krillin and goku should have stayed dead and been dead respectively

Cell Saga.

Majin Buu saga is an abortion of retarded ideas that make no sense.

Frieza would have been the ideal ending with a few minor rewrites. But as is, I do genuinely think the Cell saga is where they should have left it.

I liked the Buu saga, it was a great ending

Frieza would have been the most kino ending in Shounen if both him and Goku actually died and stayed dead on Namek.

>who thinks krillin and goku should have stayed dead and been dead respectively
Why? They had both died once before already, and breaking the established rules to bring them back once again pretty much killed any tension the story could have possibly have.

Both of their character arcs were pretty much finished. And there really wasn't any way they could introduce a villain stronger than Frieza without the whole thing coming across as horribly contrived.

>Frieza would have been the ideal ending with a few minor rewrites.
Nah, Gohan need some kind of big finish with all the hype he got. "Minor rewrites" wouldn't do it.

with the cell games, i liked some things that happened after it but most of it was shit.

I would honestly argue the Saiyan arc was already a pretty decent payoff to the hype he got. As would him replacing Goku as the protector of earth.

Goku getting married. Freeza's defeat if I'm in the mood for more arcs from the 23TB era.

End of Frieza saga.

If the Freeza arc played out as the final adventure arc in space for at least some of it then it would have been the best arc.

The Buu saga

After the Grand Tour ended

I dropped it after that blue hair bitch came acting all cocky and asking for the dragon ball

God imagine thinking the series should end with Krillin dying the most pathetic and unceremonious death as a fucking virgin. Just say you hate the guy and you'd make more sense.
Also no rules were broken in bringing him back.

Cell Games is the only answer.

Freeza saga is the only correct answer

Cell would have been a fine ending for me. Everyone except Chiaozu did something, and it's not like Chiaozu was ever really a character. Even Yamcha has his iconic chest hole, took care of sick Goku, and was there for the final battle. I know the arc is a mess but it sticks the landing as far as I'm concerned. I think that involvement of the whole crew gave the arc a nice sense of finality.

That being said, I'm not willing to ignore the Buu saga. It has its merits and the final stretch from Goku and Vegeta teaming up to the epilogue is very enjoyable.

Buu saga. Honestly surprised by how many people hate it cuz it's honestly one of my favorite arcs and a solid finale in my opinion.

Attached: DBFCM_512.jpg (665x1024, 506K)

Buu saga’s ending was great but I also liked the GT ending where Goku rode off with the dragon and the time skip with his great great grandkid.

That said Piccolo Jr. is probably the best place to end it if we're talking earlier endings. Everything is tied up with a bow for the most part, Goku gets married and has gone from a dumb monkey boy to a cool martial arts man, he defeats piccolo while keeping him alive, which would give him a rival to keep competing against while also keeping Kami and the dragonballs around. It's certainly the comfiest place you could end the story. Honestly I'm surprised how well people took the "actually you're an alien" reveal cuz that's pretty stupid in retrospect.

Attached: DBFCM_191.jpg (665x1024, 501K)

My problem with Buu is several of the older characters really get shafted. It also felt like the arc spends a lot of time on stuff like fusions, only to make it worthless just a bit later. The finale is good but the stuff following that, specifically Uub, needed more time. I like the idea of Uub but it needed a few more chapters to do a better job of ending one journey and starting the next.

it never did, it's still ongoing

I'm still waiting

Attached: mmmmmmmmm.png (907x176, 37K)

The change of editors is so noticeable there it's kind of hilarious. Original DB up until Piccolo Jr Arc is seriously top notch, and constantly presenting fun cool scenarios, unlike anything after that which is just about increasingly stronger opponents shooting light beams and flying.

Since I'm not a headcanon tard, it's still going. But there's been some bumps in the road.

Attached: DpFTASqU8AA4hGE.jpg (2000x791, 264K)

Still ongoing.

>J-JIREN-DONO HAVE MERCY AAAAAAAHHHHHH

Gohan killing Cell, ending the series neatly at the best arc.

I see your point. I'll say a lot of Buu saga is less "get the job done" and just "enjoy the ride". You could condence the buu saga down but that'd kill a lot of the fun and cool ideas it presents, despite those ideas not being fully fleshed out. Of course the Buu saga is also an ETERNITY and if you fleshed all that stuff out more it'd be even more of a slog. It's almost perfectly imperfect. I can't think of a way to "fix it" without making it harder to sit through.

>unlike anything after that which is just about increasingly stronger opponents shooting light beams and flying
Until the buu saga you forgot to add

Before GT, after Super, without end of Z.

With the end of GT. No Super.

What if...

Goku and Krillin did stay dead after Frieza, and then there's a time skip leading to the Android arc with teen/young adult Gohan being the new hero?

It would allow for a new dynamic with Future Trunks and allow Gohan and Trunks more spotlight and would solve every problem relating to the power levels.

How are Earth Androids more powerful than Frieza? They aren't, but in a world with a power vacuum left by Goku and Friezas demise on Namek it's understandable that a new earth ending threat brewn at home could exist. They would just be the strongest opponents Gohan has faced on his own.

It could still culminate in a final match with Cell where Gohan has to defeat an enemy created with among them his father's own DNA. Truly a rite of succession.

Seems like the most Kino alternative concept to me.

Attached: 1565054419026.png (500x526, 271K)

Freeza Saga. Because the humans stay dead, no SS Gohan, and the beatdown.

I don't think it's right to just throw away Goku like that, but keeping Krillin dead would be a great way to develop him more after his loss of self.

Piccolo jr. arc would have been a good ending to the series

when gohan fags learn that gohan is a boring as fuck character

After the Buu arc. Everything else is superfluous.

Explain to me how you could think the Cell arc is the best even thought it has a shit ton of plotholes.

Cell games

I dropped after Goku was fishing naked, but I picked it up and kept reading

GT

NO MAJIN BUU-SAMA!!!! DON'T SAY THE N-WOR-AAIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Attached: rude buu.png (848x480, 348K)

Right here, and no further.

Attached: videl.jpg (400x400, 49K)

Nah.

Attached: Punching The Tomboy.gif (500x375, 1.33M)

It's still ongoing but in my eyes GT never happened.

Nigger

It was supposed to end in Frieza's bow but the problem was not to continue after Frieza but to have gigantic leaps of energy.

Everything would be so simple if super saiyan were a very rare thing that wakes up on special occasions and was not just a common aspect as it is now.

The androids would be very strong equal to or stronger than goku kaioken x20, so no one would beat the androids but if super saiyan could destroy them, Cell would also be beaten by super saiyan but having a harder aspect than the fight of the Frieza like having an improved regeneration and your powers could be recovered right away.

It was easier to do super saiyan as a rare thing, it would be so much better.

Based

My wife Chino wants to pinch Fat Buu's side chubs

Attached: 1522373356952.png (640x360, 234K)

It ended after the Tournament of Power, culminating with the progression of CHADren's character, strength and his philosophy.

Attached: f8tUIdM.png (2560x1440, 1.7M)

My issue is that Super just doesn't mesh with the rest of the series. It's fine and all but it definitely suffers from not just being an anime based on a manga written/drawn by toriyama. Sure it's part of dragonball, but I take everything after toriyama's manga with a grain of salt.

Hasn't ended yet

The original ending where Goku leaves his family for some Indian kid he never met sucked anyway

Attached: Galactic_Patrol_Prisoner_arc.png (877x893, 1.68M)

>Goku leaves his family for some Indian kid he never met sucked anyway
No,it was kino.

> Buu's transformation line was extremely messy

> Characters were introduced for no reason

> Gohan was ruined

> SS Bargain Sale

> SS3 was completely useless

> Kid Buu had a shit personality. Actually, Buu in general was shit

> Buu's transformation line was extremely messy
Not really

>Characters were introduced for no reason
Examples?

>gohan was ruined
Cope

> SS Bargain Sale
Explained. (And the cell arc already did it)

> SS3 was completely useless
true

> Kid Buu had a shit personality. Actually, Buu in general was shit
Cope

Saiyan arc.

Is he based? Yes, I think so.

>Not really
1) Fat Buu splits into two, Good Buu and Evil Buu. But when Good Buu and Evil Buu combine again, they are a NEW Buu, not Fat Buu.

2) Whenever Buu absorbs people, he gets stronger. Except for the Grand Supreme Kai which neutered him for some reason.

It's messy in general, especially when bringing up the past Buu (South Kai)

> Examples?
Goten. Sharpner and Erasa. Yamu. Great Saiyaman served no purpose.

> Cope
I'm okay, thanks. Doesn't change the fact that it ruined Gohan though.

Being a pointless hero for no reason, getting weaker, sitting on his ass with the Elder Kai cause Toriyama obviously didn't know what to do with him. Getting a power-up, just to fuck it up. Drops the Potara, etc.

> Explained
No it wasn't. Only years after the manga ended with the Tail-less Generation and S-Cells

> true
yup

> Cope
Again? Is this supposed to be an argument?

>Fat Buu splits into two, Good Buu and Evil Buu. But when Good Buu and Evil Buu combine again, they are a NEW Buu, not Fat Buu.
You are dumb. The evil buu was a new being. It was the evil of fat buu with a body. Of course that absorbing it will not make it part of fat buu again.

>Whenever Buu absorbs people, he gets stronger. Except for the Grand Supreme Kai which neutered him for some reason
The grand kai personality made him good and weaker. Buu is a being of pure destruction, absorbing a being with a pure heart is obviously going to make him weaker. (Though that was contradicted with buu absorbing gohan. But whatever.)

>It's messy in general, especially when bringing up the past Buu (South Kai)
You didn't explain why though. It's innecesary huge yes, but not that messy.

>Goten. Sharpner and Erasa. Yamu. Great Saiyaman served no purpose
I agree with goten. Sharpner and erasa aren't meant to be important. Neither is yamu. And the great saiyaman isn't a new character.

>I'm okay, thanks. Doesn't change the fact that it ruined Gohan though.
It didn't. cope

>Being a pointless hero for no reason, getting weaker, sitting on his ass with the Elder Kai cause Toriyama obviously didn't know what to do with him. Getting a power-up, just to fuck it up. Drops the Potara, etc.
Helping the city isn't pointless. Gohan never liked fights. And yes gohan becomes ussless after going to the supreme kai world.

>No it wasn't. Only years after the manga ended with the Tail-less Generation and S-Cells
Ok it wasn't but everyone knows why anyway.

>Again? Is this supposed to be an argument?
Yep it is. Cope.

(Pic related also)

You need to cope, dog.

It's a Gohandog. Don't respond to it. Don't even acknowledge its existence from this point forth.

After Z.
You know it's a real artists masterpiece when nothing else that come later can ever top it.

With Z. Super is just a nice headcannon

The series ended when Goku left with Oob, although we are exploring what happened before that right now.
